Cecilia heard the suspicion in Miranda’s voice, but her expression didn’t change.

“What are you talking about?”

She wasn’t naive. There was no way she was going to admit anything.

Even if Miranda came after her, Cecilia wasn’t afraid for herself. She just didn’t want another burden weighing on her mind.
