“Even if Felix was wrong, he was picking on someone else, not Jon. If something like that happens again, just have Jon stand to the side and watch. Don’t let him meddle in other people’s business.”

Cecilia didn’t hold back. “Dad, are you saying that when Jon grows up, if he sees someone doing something wrong, he should just look away and pretend he didn’t see it?”
Wren faltered, caught off guard.
She continued, her tone steady but firm. “I don’t think Jon did anything wrong. He just handled it the wrong way this time. He shouldn’t have resorted to kicking someone first—and I’ve already corrected him on that.”
