To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 971-What Else Was He Expecting?

Considering the occasion that day, Jenny didn't want to argue with her. "Alright then, I didn't mean anything else. I just wanted to greet him. If you mind my presence. I'll leave now. Just tell him I send my regards."

Alexandra wanted to say that she minded it very much, but she plastered a courteous smile on her face. "Okay, I'll tell Christopher. Goodbye, Miss Walter."

Jenny turned around and left. Although she didn't like Alexandra's behavior, she didn't want to cause any unnecessary misunderstandings since Alexandra was Christopher's girlfriend.

Watching Jenny leave, Alexandra breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't want Jenny to meet Christopher because she feared something might happen between them. Although Jenny was now the daughter of the renowned Walter family and wasn't likely to consider Christopher a potential life partner, it was difficult to say that she wouldn't.

Alexandra liked Christopher very much and didn't want to take any risks.

Thinking of that, she turned around and walked toward Christopher, who was still mourning his grandfather not far away.

"You should have some food first, Christopher. Your health is important too,"

Alexandra advised with concern as she stood beside him.

Christopher hadn't been eating much these days, and he had visibly lost weight.

She was worried for him.

He didn't move from his spot but just said to her, "You can go back. I know what to do."

Alexandra didn't leave; she stayed by his side. If she turned and left at a time like this, what would Christopher and the rest of the Spade family think of her?

"I'll stay here with you," Alexandra said resolutely. She then stood beside Christopher silently.

Seeing her like that, Christopher couldn't quite bear it. He held Alexandra's hand and motioned for her to follow him.

"Let's go eat. I have something to tell you."

For some reason, Alexandra's heart skipped a beat. "He has something to tell me?" she thought, feeling alarmed.

Both their families were already discussing marriage, but for some reason, when Christopher said he had something to tell her, she instinctively knew it wasn't about their marriage. Instead, she had an uneasy feeling.

Christopher scanned his surroundings but didn't see the person he wanted to see. Because of that, he furrowed his brows slightly.

"Are you looking for Miss Walter?" Alexandra asked, feeling intense jealousy in her heart.

"Yeah." Christopher nodded. "Have you seen her?"

"Miss Walter said she had something to do and left. She asked me to send you her regards." By then, Alexandra was extremely grateful that she hadn't let Jenny come over to greet him; otherwise, who knows what might have happened.

"Is that so?" Christopher asked with a frown.

Jenny wouldn't leave without saying goodbye, so he looked at Alexandra with suspicion, thinking that she might have said something she shouldn't have.

Alexandra felt scared and wronged at the same time under his gaze.

"Christopher, Miss Walter is now the CEO of Walter Inc. She must be very busy.

Even so, she made time to come and see your grandfather off."

Upon hearing those words, Christopher’s expression darkened slightly.

Alexandra was right—it was already good enough that Jenny had shown up.

What else was he expecting?

"Come on. Let's go and eat." Christopher turned around and didn't say anything further.

At the entrance of the cemetery, Jenny had just left in a car.

"Why did you come here?"

She looked at Alec and surmised he hadn't come to pay respects to Harvey.

"I came to pick you up." This place was in the middle of nowhere. If Alec hadn't come to pick up Jenny personally, he would have been worried.

Jenny was somewhat speechless and rolled her eyes at him. "Alec, can you not treat me like I'm a toddler? Did you think I'd get lost?"

"You'll always be a child in my eyes." He was willing to treat her like a child and spoil her, even if it was for a lifetime.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 972-Who Do You Like?

Jenny was even more speechless at his reply and rubbed her forehead exasperatedly. "I don’t want to be like a child."

Why would she act like a child when she was an adult? Although children were carefree and didn't have much to worry about, what was the point of avoiding reality like that? She couldn't really become a child again.

If Alec treated her like a child and she had to become an adult again when he left her, wouldn't it be tiring to constantly switch how she would carry herself?

"My point is, you can try to rely on me." Alec felt helpless. He didn't know how to express himself to Jenny. It was difficult to make her depend on him even for a bit.

Jenny didn't reply to what Alec said. "He isn't really anyone significant to me.

Why would I rely on him?" she wondered.

In the restaurant, Alexandra silently ate her food. Christopher hadn't said a word since they entered the restaurant, and the silence magnified Alexandra's anxiety.

"Christopher, don't be too saddened. Although Grandpa has passed away, he must be watching you from above. If he sees that you're so sad, he'd feel bad about it," Alexandra said, trying to make him feel better.

Christopher remained silent, so Alexandra continued," Besides, you still have me in the future. I'll always be by your side."

Upon hearing that, Christopher finally snapped out of his daze and looked up at Alexandra sitting right across from him.

As their eyes met, Alexandra felt a chill down her back. She thought she was overthinking it, but at that moment, she couldn't see any hint of feelings or emotions in Christopher's vacant eyes.

"Actually, I've wanted to talk to you for some time," Christopher said.

"Let's eat first. Everything else can wait." Intuition told Alexandra that whatever Christopher was going to say, it was probably not good news for her, and she didn't want to hear it.

Unfortunately, Christopher didn't keep quiet just because she didn't want to listen.

"Let's break up."

Alexandra was stunned, and her eyes watered instantly." What did you say?"

"This is on me. I got together with you to fulfill my grandfather's wish. He didn't want to see me single, so he introduced you to me, and I didn't refuse." Harvey's health had deteriorated greatly at that time, so Christopher couldn't bear to reject his grandfather's good intentions.

Therefore, he promised Harvey he would meet with Alexandra. He subsequently became her boyfriend so Harvey would stop worrying and recover from his illness. But in reality, he had no feelings for Alexandra at all.

Tears flowed down Alexandra's cheeks uncontrollably as she looked at the person in front of her with hatred, reluctance, but more than anything, sadness.

"Since you decided to lie to me in the first place, why didn't you keep lying?"

She didn't care about Christopher's initial intentions when he became her boyfriend. As long as they didn't break up, everything would be the same for her.

Christopher sighed. "I'm sorry. I can't lie to myself."

The fact remained that he wasn't in love with Alexandra. He couldn't force himself to love her no matter what she did. Breaking up would be a better choice for them.

"Do you really not like me at all?" Alexandra started doubting herself. Was she really that bad? She and Christopher had been together for so long, and he'd treated her considerably well. She always thought he had some feelings for her.

Christopher glanced at her and could only say sorry.

Alexandra sobbed even harder at his apology. "If you don't like me, then who do you like? Is it Jenny?"

When she mentioned Jenny, Christopher instinctively frowned with a hint of displeasure. "This is between you and me; don't bring other people into this."

"Even now, you're still thinking about her, aren't you?" Alexandra continued to cry, but her eyes were filled with hatred.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 973-What Am I Lacking?

"What am I lacking compared to her?" Alexandra asked, feeling very much aggrieved.

Although Jenny was more beautiful than her and came from a much better family, Alexandra believed that Christopher wasn't someone who valued those things.

Christopher felt helpless at how persistent she was. "You shouldn't compare yourself to her. You’re different from each other. Our breakup has nothing to do with her. I won't end up with her either."

"You won't end up with her, or you know you won't stand a chance with her?"

Alexandra sneered.

Compared to Jenny's suitors, Christopher was from a family that was substandard at best, so how could he be qualified? Alexandra was well aware of that, not to mention Christopher himself.

"Going around in circles on this matter is pointless," Christopher declared. At this point, he'd already put down his cutlery and leaned back in his chair, expressionless.

He'd only put up with Alexandra for so long because he knew he was in the wrong. During the time they were together, Alexandra treated him well, and he could feel her sincerity. That was why he was so patient with her.

"Yes, it's meaningless." Alexandra smiled bitterly.

"Christopher, since you will inevitably get married in the future, why can't it be me? I'll be a good wife and won't disappoint you." Even if Christopher didn't like her, she could accept it.

Christopher looked at her and said, "I did consider that option before. But then I started wondering what my life would be like for the next few decades. I can't possibly spend the rest of my life with someone I don't like. What would be the point of my life if I did that?" he asked Alexandra, but he was also questioning himself.

He didn't want to face someone he didn't like every day when he came home, and he didn't want to stay at the company because the people in his family didn't like him doing otherwise.

"So, what now? Will you go find the person you like? Are you going to pursue Jenny?" Alexandra mentioned Jenny again because, in her heart, the reason Christopher broke up with her was because of Jenny.

Before they met Jenny, they were doing well. But after running into Jenny twice, Christopher chose to break up with her. Alexandra refused to believe that their breakup had nothing to do with that woman.

Christopher shook his head and looked out the window." I used to like her, but I won't just like one person for the rest of my life. I'll meet someone else that I like in the future."

What he had to do was wait for the next person he liked to appear.

"I will meet someone, and so will you." He withdrew his gaze and looked at Alexandra.

Alexandra pursed her lips and smiled bitterly. "Maybe."

Though she said that, she knew how difficult it was to meet someone she liked.

She would likely never meet someone like that again in her lifetime.

"What if you never come across someone you like? Will you reconsider me then?" She suddenly looked at Christopher with hope in her eyes. If he said yes, she would wait for him.

Christopher knew what she meant and shook his head without hesitation. "I'd rather be alone than be with the wrong person."

Alexandra was chilled to her core at his reply and couldn't even force a smile anymore.

"Finish your meal and go home. The collaboration between the Spades and the Yorks will continue and won't be affected. Thank you for everything." In fact, he'd wanted to break things off with Alexandra a long time ago. He just didn't have the chance to do so.

Now that Harvey had been laid to rest, he couldn't continue delaying Alexandra any longer. So, he chose that day to clarify and end things with her.

"Okay." Alexandra nodded, then lowered her head and ate her food. However, she couldn't taste anything.

Tears streamed down her face, dripping onto her pasta. She seemed unaware of it and just continued eating.

Seeing her like that, Christopher felt a little sorry for her. He opened his mouth but quickly closed it again, choosing to remain silent.

It was better to suffer in the short term rather than prolong the torture. Crying it all out was better than bottling it all inside.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 974-Listen to Me This Once Early in the morning, Jenny was awakened by the laughter of children in the neighborhood. She opened her eyes groggily, picked up her phone from the bedside, and saw that it was not yet 7 am. The children should be asleep now, so why were they making noise downstairs?

Before she could fully wake up, the doorbell rang. Jenny struggled to get out of bed. The moment she opened the door, she saw Alec standing outside. She felt a little irritated at being awakened from her sleep prematurely. "Mr. Faust, why are you at my door so early?"

She was puzzled. Alec never came to look for her so early in the morning. "Did something bad happen?" Jenny started making guesses blindly.

"Get dressed and come downstairs." Observing Jenny's expression, Alec guessed that she’d just woken up and probably didn't know what was happening outside.

"I don't want to go. I want to sleep a little longer." Jenny turned to go back to her room, but Alec grabbed her wrist.

"Listen to me this once, Jenny." Alec's expression was serious, and he wasn't joking. This made Jenny feel perturbed and worried. Had something really gone wrong?

Thinking of this, she grabbed her coat from the door and put it on, ready to go downstairs with him.

"This is too thin. Wear something thicker," Alec reminded her.

"Is it?" Jenny wondered. She wore the same coat yesterday and didn't feel cold at all. But under Alec's gaze, she went back to her room and put on a down jacket before coming back out.

"Is this thick enough?" she asked.

"Yeah, let's go." Alec smiled and nodded, taking her hand and leading her toward the elevator.

Jenny was still puzzled. Based on Alec's expression, there probably wasn't anything wrong. But if there wasn't anything wrong, why did he wake her up so early and make her go downstairs with him?

"Alec, what's going on?" She couldn't help but ask.

Alec smiled and didn't answer. "Don't worry. You'll know soon enough."

Jenny looked at him helplessly. Was it really necessary for him to be so secretive?

As the elevator dinged, they arrived on the first floor. Alec grabbed Jenny's hand and led her out of the elevator. As soon as they stepped out, a cold wind blew, lifting Jenny's hair.

The next second, the completely white sight astounded her, making her freeze in place—it was snowing.

The neighborhood was covered in white snow, and not far away, children were excitedly playing in the snow.

Snowflakes were still falling from the sky, leaving her in awe.

Jenny grew up in Parrington, located in the south, and rarely had snow throughout the year. Although she'd seen snow in other cities, this experience was different.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Alec smiled as he asked. He was also from Parrington and rarely saw snow, so he was quite happy, especially because he could watch his first snowfall with Jenny.

Jenny nodded and walked toward the snowy ground. "The snow in the north comes so early."

At this time, people in some cities in the south could still wear tee shirts or shirts with short sleeves, but the north had already started snowing in contrast.

"Stand still and don't move." Alec suddenly demanded.

Jenny turned to look at him and saw that he was holding his phone up in her direction.

He took several pictures and was very satisfied with the result. Then, he walked over and handed the phone to Jenny. "It's very beautiful."

It was unclear whether he was referring to the snow or to Jenny.

"Hey Jenny, are you and your boyfriend up early to watch the snow?" The lady who owned the grocery store in the community had also woken up early. Seeing Alec taking pictures of Jenny, she smiled and greeted them.

Jenny wanted to explain that they weren't in a romantic relationship, but Alec spoke first, "Ma'am, could you take a picture of us?"

"Sure," the lady took the phone from Alec, and with a few taps, she took several pictures of them together swiftly

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 975-Little Brats Alec took his phone back from the lady, thanked her, and hurriedly looked at the photos on his phone. The corners of his mouth lifted up involuntarily. The more he looked at the photos, the more satisfied he was with the result.

Jenny came over at some point and couldn't help but comment disapprovingly, "This photo makes me look so fat."

"Not at all. I think you look just right." Alec put away his phone. He made sure to save the photos well. He would ask Vincent to print them out and frame them later.

Jenny glared at him, feeling a bit grumpy. "You should have told me beforehand so I could wear a nice outfit and take some nice photos. Now…"

She lowered her head and looked at herself. She was all bundled up in her down jacket and looked like a bear, so she decided to give up on that idea.

"You look beautiful in my eyes no matter what." Alec's words were as sweet as honey, leaving Jenny momentarily speechless.

"Ah!"

As the two were talking, a few children not far away were throwing snowballs at each other. One snowball happened to hit Jenny's head.

Seeing Jenny being hit by the snowball, Alec's eyes darkened, and he glared at the children who were a stone's throw away. "You little brats."

"Forget it…" The words had barely come out of Jenny's mouth when she saw Alec picking up snow from the ground, compressing it into a snowball, and hurling it at the children in one swift movement.

Jenny was rendered speechless.

"Come on. Let's fight him!" The children hit by Alec's snowball decided to gang up and fight him together.

The melee began instantly. Jenny had been standing and watching at first, but Alec somehow pulled her into the fray, and she started joining in the fight against the children.

"Ah! Ah! The adults are bullying us!" Although there were about three or four of them, they were no match for Jenny and Alec. The children could only resort to shouting to divert the attention of the two adults.

Unfortunately, the approach was of no use.

In the end, Jenny and Alec emerged victorious, and the few children were dragged home by their parents and reluctantly went to school.

Jenny, who had been a little cold, was now sweating on her back. It had been a long time since she’d played so enthusiastically.

When she was gasping for breath, Alec looked at her and asked, "Was that fun?"

"Yeah, it was." She'd never been in a snowball fight before and didn't expect it to be so interesting. It was no wonder people seemed to enjoy it when she saw them doing it in videos she came across on the internet.

"Well…Shall we do it again tomorrow?" Alec asked.

Jenny shook her head instantly. "No! People will think we're bullying the children."

Indeed, they'd gone all out on those kids earlier. Thinking back about what she'd done, Jenny felt somewhat guilty.

"Don't worry too much. I think they were actually quite happy playing with us,"

Alec said as he stretched out a hand to brush the snow off Jenny’s head.

They stood very close to each other. Perhaps because they'd exerted themselves more than they normally would, they were breathing heavily and could hear each other's heartbeat.

The thumping of their heart didn’t weaken. On the contrary, it was getting stronger.

"Alec…Mmph…"

Jenny's words were interrupted by Alec's sudden move to kiss her.

She wanted to push him away, but he held her hands tightly, so she could only let him have his way. The snow was still falling, landing on their heads. The shopkeeper couldn’t help but take out her phone and snap a picture of the scene before her.

As the sound of children chattering noisily came closer, Alec finally let go of her. It wasn't because he was afraid of being seen, but because Jenny's face was so red it looked like she was having a heat stroke. If he didn't let go of her, she might be too embarrassed to continue living in this neighborhood should others see her canoodling with a man like this

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 976-Help Max "Alec! When did I allow you to kiss me?" Jenny scolded, gritting her teeth as she fumed. She wasn't his girlfriend, so what right did he have to kiss her?

"Sorry. I couldn't help myself," Alec apologized. But his face clearly showed he wasn't sorry about it, and he seemed quite pleased that he'd done it.

He was still laughing, while Jenny was angry and annoyed. She pushed him away and called him a jerk before heading upstairs to return to her apartment.

As she walked away, Alec was about to follow her, but the shopkeeper stopped him.

"Young man, how do you like this photo I took of you two?" The lady smiled and showed him the picture she had just taken. She was quite proud of it.

Alec was momentarily stunned when he saw it, but then a smile spread across his face. "It's beautiful."

"I thought that sight just now was particularly stunning," she said happily, glad she didn't miss such a magical moment.

Alec took out his phone and asked, somewhat embarrassed, "Could you send me that photo? 1-1 want to save it on my phone."

"Of course."

Afterward, Alec received the photo from the shopkeeper and looked at it several times before leaving with a satisfied grin. However, because of that delay, he was unable to catch up to Jenny. When he got upstairs, she'd already returned home, and he could only smile bitterly outside her closed door.

Inside her room, Jenny changed out of her wet clothes that had been soaked by the snow. Even though some time had passed, her cheeks were still red.

"Jerk!" she muttered to herself.

Just as she was thinking of him, he texted her, "Do you want breakfast? I'm outside your door."

Jenny wanted to say no, but her growling stomach had other ideas. With that, she opened her door, as her starving body was craving food.

"Where did you buy the breakfast?" she asked.

"I had Vincent buy it for me." Vincent had just delivered it when he got home, so it was still warm.

Jenny rolled her eyes and couldn't help but criticize him, "It's so cold outside, yet you made Vincent go and buy breakfast for you without a care."

"He seemed to be quite happy to do it." After all, it was almost the end of the year, and he would receive a substantial bonus. So, why wouldn't he be happy?

Jenny didn't continue chastising him. After all, as the CEO of a big company, he wouldn't understand the everyday struggles of an average worker.

"Aren't you going to work today?" Jenny asked while eating her breakfast.

"I am. I'm employed at Faust Group now, so of course, I have to clock in every day." Alec meant it literally. He went there just to clock in and didn't do anything else.

Jenny took a bite of her waffle and said, "I heard that Zeke has already asked Yakov to take over the position that Xavier used to hold. It seems he intends for him to take over Faust Group, is that right?"

"He may want to take over, but it will also depend on whether he has the ability to do so."

Considering the current mess the Fausts were in, Yakov would struggle to sort it out with his limited abilities. Moreover, Alec wouldn't make it easy for him.

"You always make extraordinary moves, Mr. Faust," Jenny complimented. When Alec said he wanted to take over the Faust family, not even she believed it, let alone outsiders.

But what about now?

For now, it seemed like Zeke had no intention of handing over the Faust family to Alec, but he would soon realize that he had no choice.

Alec had indisputably won this round.

Hearing Jenny's compliment, Alec was amused and rather pleased. "Why don't you take a day off today?"

"Why?" She had no reason to take a day off out of the blue.

"To help Max," Alec replied, handing Jenny his phone and showing her their chat records.

Jenny read it and was stunned for a while, and she was unable to react for some time.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 977-Take Your Word for It When Jenny and Alec arrived at Bardoff Central Park, it was quiet and deserted.

The ground was still covered with untouched snow.

Walking further inside, they found a group of people busy setting up the area.

Jenny saw people holding flowers and balloons. They looked busy preparing the decorations.

"Hey, you're here." Max appeared behind them with a faint smile on his lips.

Jenny turned around and immediately noticed that Max was wearing a black suit with a tie, which was quite rare for him. He looked much more energetic than usual.

"Are you really ready? What if Jade rejects you?" Jenny was worried, as Jade had refused Max several times before, and she couldn't tell if Jade was interested in him at all.

Max's expression became serious as he said, "No matter what, I have to give it a try. Don't you think? I'll let her make her choice on the first snowfall of this winter season."

Max looked at the stage being built nearby, his expression expectant.

Jenny didn't comment further. She was quite surprised when she learned Max had decided to confess his feelings to Jade today. When she read Max's message to Alec, she was stunned for a long time. She hoped that Jade would accept him, as the past was in the past, and not everyone was a scoundrel like Hayden. At least Max seemed trustworthy now.

Of course, Jenny had her own concerns. She looked at Max again sternly and said, "Are you really serious about this? You should know what happened to Jade before. If she agrees to be with you, it means she's willing to trust people again, but…"

If Max disappointed her again this time, Jade would probably never trust men again for the rest of her life.

"Don't worry. Even though I may seem unreliable, this decision comes from my heart. I know what I want." Although he used to be a playboy, it was only a disguise. In fact, he'd never felt anything for anyone until he met Jade. Even when he said he wanted to pursue Jenny, it was just to challenge and go against Alec. In reality, Jenny wasn't his type.

Hearing him say that, Jenny felt a little relieved. "I'll give you one chance, but if you ever do anything to hurt her, I won’t spare you," she warned. Even if Jade forgave him, Jenny would definitely make sure Max paid dearly for breaking her heart.

"No need to worry. That day will never come." How could Max ever do something that would hurt Jade after all he'd done to win her heart?

Max changed the topic unexpectedly as he laughed and asked, "Based on what you just said, you think there's a high possibility she'll say yes to me, right?"

Jenny pondered what he said for a moment and couldn't come to a definite answer. "Maybe. I haven't been in contact with Jade recently, so I don't know what she's thinking."

But Max had saved Jade before, so they should have made some progress in their relationship. Jenny felt quite optimistic about his chances.

"Then I'll take your word for it." Max smiled, no longer as frivolous as before.

"There's a cabin over there. I've prepared some food. It's cold outside, so go in there first." Max pointed to a cabin not far away.

Jenny nodded. It was indeed freezing outside, and she and Alec couldn't do much to help anyway.

"Okay." Alec and Jenny made their way toward the cabin.

They'd barely reached the door when they heard Max shout behind them, "Oh, right. Can you help me call Jade in half an hour and ask her to come over, Jenny?" "Sure,” Jenny agreed.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 978-Do Me a Favor Stepping into the cabin, the warmth from the heater enveloped Jenny, and the chill that lingered from when she was outdoors disappeared. She felt much more comfortable.

Outside, Max was still directing the workers to set up the venue. It was obvious that he was putting a lot of effort into it, paying attention to every detail. Jenny never expected Max to make such a huge change. He must really like Jade, which caused him to become the man he is today.

"Say…" Alec suddenly spoke, and Jenny looked at him. "Why didn't he choose to do it indoors? Isn't it freezing outside?"

That was a remarkably good question. Jenny didn't hurry to give an answer.

Instead, she asked him, "Then why do you think he chose today to confess to Jade?"

It was just a confession and not a proposal. The two weren't officially together yet, so Max was jumping through hoops that day just to get Jade to agree to be his girlfriend.

"I don't know." Alec contemplated it but couldn't figure out what was so special about that particular day.

Jenny felt that Alec was sometimes smart but rather dumb at times. "Didn't he just say it? Today is the first snow of this winter season. Don't you think it's romantic?"

"Hmm.Js it?" How was that romantic in any sense? He couldn't comprehend the logic behind it; he just found the weather exceptionally cold.

If it were him, he would choose a warm place to confess. That way, Jenny wouldn't be blown around by the cold wind.

"Since you don't think it's romantic, why did you wake me up so early to see the snow?" Jenny rolled her eyes at him. He’d obviously done it because he thought the scenery at that time was particularly beautiful, and watching the snow together with Jenny was romantic.

Alec cleared his throat, feeling a little embarrassed. "Well, we both came from Parrington and had never seen such a big snowfall. That was why I wanted you to see it first."

As for the rest, he really didn't think about it.

Moreover, he'd initially just intended for Jenny to get up to see the snowfall with him. As for what happened after that, it wasn't in his plans at all.

Jenny wanted to say something but thought of Alec's personality and felt she could understand him. After all, he wasn't someone who spent a lot of time on the internet, so he naturally didn't understand romantic gestures that were trending.

"Everyone has different opinions. Max thinks the first snowfall of winter is romantic, so he chooses to confess to Jade at this time," Jenny said.

Alec nodded in agreement, whispering, "Should I have taken the opportunity to confess to you this morning?"

Jenny glared at him. "Stop dreaming. I won't agree even if you confessed anyway."

It was easy for people to lose themselves in that situation. Jenny didn't dare to imagine what choice she would make if Alec really confessed to her.

Fortunately, he didn't confess earlier.

As they were talking, the waiter brought them hot coffee, and they sat by the window, watching Max buzzing around like a busy bee outside.

At some point, it started snowing heavily again, making the scene even more romantic. It looked like a scene right out of a drama. Following a ding, Jenny saw Max's message telling her that he'd finished setting up and she could now call Jade. Without any delay, she immediately dialed Jade's number.

"Hello, Jenny. What's up?" Jade’s voice was calm. Jenny could hear her shuffling files in the background; she was probably busy with work.

Jenny glanced at Max standing outside before saying," Jade, are you busy right now?"

"Not really. I'm not too busy," Jade replied.

"Can you do me a favor?" Jenny asked.

A little more than ten minutes later, Jade met Jenny at the park entrance. She'd rushed over wearing a black down jacket.

"What do you need me to help you with? You're being all mysterious about it,"

Jade remarked as she got out of her car and wrapped herself in her jacket more tightly.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 979-Max's Confession Jenny pulled Jade further into the park and said as they walked, "Don't be anxious. You'll find out soon enough."

Soon, Jade, still puzzled, was pulled to the center of the park, and exquisite decorations came into her view. The vivid red roses and balloons stood out, especially in the snow.

Jade stopped in her tracks. She looked at Jenny and saw she was smiling at her with a motherly expression. Jade felt a chill run down her spine.

Just as Jenny thought she'd figured out what was going on, Jade suddenly asked, "Are you preparing to hold an event here?"

"Jade…"

"This is quite a good idea. The first snow of the season, coupled with these decorations…This is perfect for a fashion show to launch our new product," Jade analyzed. The next moment, she frowned and said, "However, the color of these flowers and our new product don’t match, and these red balloons make it seem like a wedding."

As Jade started criticizing the venue, Jenny was rendered speechless and felt helpless at how things were progressing.

Right then, music started to play.

While Jenny was still dazed, Jade nodded approvingly as she praised, "Wow, there's even music! You really had everything prepared."

Jenny decided not to explain anything and waited for Max to appear. She believed that Jade should be able to figure it out by then.

With the music playing, Max slowly walked toward Jade. Jenny took it as her cue to head back to the cabin. Although the snow was beautiful, she'd come from the south after all, so she was still not used to such cold weather.

"What are you doing here?"

Seeing Max there, Jade asked without thinking, clearly befuddled.

Max smiled and asked her back, "What do you think?"

Jade looked around and saw Jenny and Alec in the cabin, as well as the decorations around her. Even if she was dense and slow to catch on, she could roughly guess what was happening at this point.

"Jade, although you have rejected me many times, I've never given up. Today, on the day of the first snow this winter, I still want to try and express my feelings to you."

With that, Max started to pour his heart out.

"In fact, I never told you that I liked you the first time I laid eyes on you. At that time, I couldn’t wrap my head around how special you were to make me unable to forget you after just one look. Later, I learned about all the unfortunate things you've gone through, and my heart ached for all the hardships you endured.

How I wished I was the first person to meet you! But that doesn't matter. I think it's not too late for me to appear in your life now. After all, well still have a lot of time in the future."

He paused for a while before getting to the most important question. "Jade, be my girlfriend and let me take care of you, okay?"

Max finished speaking and took out a carefully prepared gift -it was not a ring but a necklace. He planned to save the ring for his proposal to Jade.

Jade's eyes were slightly reddened. Although she’d always claimed she was not easily moved, she was still quite touched at that moment.

After divorcing Hayden, she never thought she would meet someone she liked again, nor did she ever think a person would love her so fervently. She was hesitant and timid, thinking it was all too good to be true.

But at that moment, when she saw the determination in Max's eyes, she thought, "There's no harm in giving love another shot!"

"You know I'm a divorcee. Are you sure you don't mind?" Jade finally found her voice after a while.

Max shook his head. "I only mind that I wasn't the first to have met you."

He would never have let her suffer so much if he'd been the first one to meet her.

"But I'm older than you…" Jade was still a little apprehensive.

"I never cared about that. It doesn't matter to me," Max stopped her. He really didn't care about those trivial things. He was sure of his feelings for Jade, and his feelings for her were neither swayed nor affected by her age or the fact that she'd been divorced

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 980-He Deserved It In the small cabin, Jenny and Alec watched the scene outside unfold but couldn't hear what Max and Jade said to each other. However, they both had their own thoughts upon witnessing the moment from afar.

Alec was contemplating whether he should also arrange a grand confession ceremony like Max, but he was afraid that his relationship with Jenny hadn't reached that point yet. What if Jenny rejected him?

He wasn't afraid of the embarrassment he would inevitably suffer if that were to happen. His biggest fear was that Jenny might keep her distance from him after she rejected him, and the progress they'd made thus far would come to a halt.

That would have distressed him.

On the other hand, Jenny was deeply moved by the scene. She felt that Jade was worthy of the effort that Max had put in. Although Jade wasn't her sister by blood, she was as good as one. Jenny had always been concerned about Jade's lifelong happiness. If she got together with Max, she could finally have her happy ending.

Of course, the idea was that Max wouldn't behave as recklessly as he did in Parrington. Jenny would not let him off the hook if he went back to his old habits!

Jenny hadn't thought about herself at that moment.

Although such a grand confession was very moving, she didn't want it for herself. She preferred a simple and ordinary relationship. She deemed these grandiose gestures unnecessary. What mattered the most was the commitment of both parties to the relationship.

After Max and Jade exchanged a few more words, he finally put the necklace on Jade's neck.

He had succeeded!

Even though they were far away, Jenny could feel the joy radiating from Max.

Soon, the two of them entered the cabin, with Max smiling brightly and Jade looking a little shy. Jenny pulled her aside to give her some time to calm down.

"Jenny, why didn’t you tell me earlier…" Jade whispered a complaint.

Jenny looked at her embarrassed expression and asked, "If I'd told you that Max was going to confess to you here, would you still have come?"

Jenny raised a very valid question. Although Jade had some feelings for Max, if she'd known earlier that this would happen, she probably wouldn't have had the courage to come. Precisely because Jenny knew Jade would react in such a way, she didn't reveal anything to her. Now, it seemed she had made the right decision.

"Jade, did you say yes to him?" Jenny could see the necklace nestled on Jade's neck, but she still wanted to confirm it.

Jade nodded, her cheeks blushing slightly. "Yes, I agreed." "That's great, Jade.

You'll be happy in the future and even happier as time goes by."

The past was in the past, and she would create a new chapter in life together with Max.

Jade nodded, her eyes showing some anticipation for the future. She could really start a new life with someone who loved and cherished her.

She turned to look at Jenny gratefully. "Jenny, thank you."

"Why are you thanking me?" Jenny was puzzled.

"If it weren't for you dealing with Hayden, I would have taken a long time to get over him."

Jade knew that Hayden had been imprisoned and his company had been acquired by Jenny and merged into Jeneration Group. Jade was able to let go of all the hurt he'd caused her sooner because he got the ultimate retribution he deserved.

As the saying goes, "An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth." Once revenge was served on the one who caused all the misery, the scores were settled, and life would move on.

Jenny chuckled at her words. "What can I say? He deserved it."

"You're right. He deserved every bit of it," Jade agreed. Her gaze drifted over to Max, who was standing behind them with Alec, and she had a soft look in her eyes.

She turned back and asked Jenny, "What about you? When do you plan to start again?"

"Me?" Jenny didn't expect Jade to ask about her suddenly. She pursed her lips and said contemplatively, "Maybe soon, or maybe…it'll remain like this.
