To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 941-Are You Doing This on Purpose?

The word "fate" rubbed Paul the wrong way. He scoffed, "Fate? What kind of fate is that? It was just a coincidence!"

Jenny couldn’t stand his jealousy any longer. She scooched over to Stephanie and whispered, "Is he jealous?' Stephanie pouted, mumbling, "Who cares?"

She didn't care what Paul thought. She really did think meeting Leonard today was pretty magical, given they hadn't contacted one another in so many years.

What else could it be if not fate?

"Fate works in mysterious ways. Why don't you invite him out for lunch sometime?" Alec suggested nonchalantly.

That made Paul glare at him, questioning the intentions behind the suggestion.

Alec smiled but didn't say anything else.

He'd never thought of making connections with the law, but after today he’d realized this might be one of the next best steps to take. Plus, Leonard seemed to be the most suitable man for the other end of this string.

The man was young and hopeful-he wasn't tainted with greed or corruption, unlike the families in Bardoff. Leonard would need someone powerful to support him if he wanted to pursue his goals, and Alec might be the right person.

The car soon parked by a row of restaurants, the four people inside flockingout for dinner.

Amid their meal, when Jenny and Stephanie went to the washroom, Paul turned to Alec, grunting, ’What was that? You know I don't like that man. Why still suggest Stephanie have lunch with him? Are you doing this on purpose?"

Alec grinned, then explained his idea to Paul, who scowled in response." Why him of all the people at the station?"

He-a potential rival for Stephanie's affections!

"Because he's the most suitable person right now." Brave, capable, and has a heart of gold. Qualities Alec supported, not for his own gain and escape from the law, but to better carry out his plans.

He was usually a law-abiding citizen, save when unprovoked, of course, so he supported Leonard's ideal of weeding out all the injustice in the city.

Paul was still upset, so Alec consoled him, "Instead of worrying someone else might take Stephanie away from you, why don't you focus on improving yourself so she chooses you?"

"Heh. Nice try. Would you be so calm if you were put in such a position?' Alec was absolutely terrified when Evan showed up, too.

Alec cleared his throat awkwardly but said nothing else.

Sadly that was a fact about consolation. It only ever worked on others but not on oneself.

Once Jenny and Stephanie returned from the washroom, the two men dropped their conversation.

"Zeke's lost both a son and a grandson now. He won't give up so easily," Jenny warned, looking worriedly at Alec.

But Alec didn't seem worried. He met Jenny's look with a smile. "Don't worry. He has other sons and offspring. He can still retire and live well if he doesn't do anything stupid."

Alec didn't mind playing Zeke's game until the end.

It'd just be hard to pinpoint who would end up as the losing party next time.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 942-Invisible "Do you have that much confidence in yourself?’ Jenny asked. Yes, they escaped unscathed, but who knows if luck would be on their side next time?

Their food was then served. Alec immediately served Jenny some soup, replying, "Here. Well talk while eating."

Jenny dug in hungrily, having not eaten anything because of what happened earlier.

"It's not just confidence, actually. If we've done sufficient preparations, all we need left is luck," Alec reassured her. "Like this time. As precarious as the situation was, all of us had prepared backups, which minimized the threats."

Jenny had Paul contact the station while Alec had Vincent bring reinforcements; that was partially why they made it out alive today.

"You say that, but it's not like things will go according to plan each time." What if she hadn't told Paul to get the police? Or what if Zeke had decided to press the trigger on the gun against her temple?

Alec said gently, ' Don't worry about it, Jenny. You won't be put in such danger next time."

He wouldn't let Zeke have another chance to threaten them. The Faust family would be in danger this time forth, so Alec would jump on this chance to take all of them down.

Jenny pursed her lips but said nothing. The Fausts had nothing to do with her after all. Only Alec.

While eating, Paul suggested they hang out afterward, to which Jenny rejected the offer. To her surprise, Alec was onboard.

"It'd help our digestion." Alec didn't want to be apart from Jenny so soon. Yes, they lived in the same building, but spending time together outside was different.

Paul shared the same view. Though Stephanie didn't want to talk to him, he still felt better being able to be by her side.

Jenny and Stephanie shared a look, both sighing. Finally, Jenny relented,"

Alright. I did plan on hanging out with Stephanie today."

What a delayed girls' date, huh.

As if making up for his sins, Alec proceeded to buy loads of gifts and items for Jenny and Stephanie while they walked into the mall.

"Thank you, but I can't accept these, Mr. Faust." Stephanie felt guilty, knowing Alec was only doing it because he cared about Jenny.

But Alec disagreed. "I’m responsible for what happened to you today. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if you didn't accept these."

Stephanie wanted to argue further when Jenny tugged on her sleeve. "Just take them. He is at fault, you know.” Jenny wholeheartedly agreed with Alec being responsible. She could let it go if only she was involved, but dragging in a total outsider was just inappropriate.

"I can buy these for you if you don't want them from his pocket," Paul offered excitedly.

Stephanie instantly shook her head. "I'll accept these then. Thank you for being so kind, Mr. Faust."

At least she wouldn't owe Alec anything by accepting these gifts. As for Paul, well…

Paul stiffened, mood plummeting into the seven hells below.

He ended up silently-and disparagingly-trailing behind his friends, deciding it was better to stay invisible.

He had never imagined feeling so blue just because someone refused a gift from him.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 943-No Matter What After shopping for nearly an hour, Jenny and Stephanie finally decided to go home to rest.

Vincent drove a car over for Alec, who then decided to drive Jenny home. Jenny was about to ask if he could drop Stephanie off at home, too, when her friend refused.

Jenny instantly guessed that Stephanie might be trying to give Paul a chance to prove himself again.

"Go on home first. I can have him drive me." It's not like Paul would bite, right?

So, Jenny left with Alec, deciding not to butt in with her friend's decisions.

After the two left, Stephanie turned to Paul and said, ’I'll get a cab. Why don't you go back first?"

Ultimately, she still decided against having more connections to the man.

"Do you really need to do this, Stephanie?" Paul asked unhappily. They'd already left things go sour between them during the day. Did she have to do so right now too?

Stephanie stared emotionlessly at Paul. "I thought I made myself clear, Paul Wagner. Why won't you just let me go?"

She no longer wanted to have anything to do with him. In fact, she no longer found herself as interested in him as she used to be.

"Let you go? Who the hell can stop me from feeling what I feel then?!" Paul cried painfully.

He didn't like being so gentle, yet he also didn't want Stephanie to hate him. But what could he do? He just couldn't forget about her!

Stephanie sighed. "You can do it yourself. Think about it. Your only feelings for me come from me having escaped your hold, so you only want me back to feel satisfied."

"It's not like that, S—"

"I just really don't want to be in a relationship right now, Paul. I just want to focus on my job and strengthen my family. Can you let me do that in peace? Please?"

Stephanie’s tone grew soft as if she were really trying to get this point across to Paul.

As much as Paul didn't want to accept it, he could only sigh and nod." Okay. I'll stop my advances.’ "Thank you."

"But can we at least work together in business?" Paul immediately suggested, leaving Stephanie speechless.

"My company is very interested in working together with yours on that project you're managing. What do you think about a joint venture?"

Stephanie wrung her hands together. She had been looking for a business partner for a while, and Wagner Group was an ideal match, i As if reading her mind, Paul added, "Putting romance aside, working with us is your best bet. I'm sure you're well aware of it."

Stephanie observed his expression, no longer seeing any amorous hints in those eyes as if Paul had suddenly become a whole different person.

"Okay." She nodded. Maybe purely business relations with Paul were the best option.

On the other hand, Alec and Jenny were on their way back to their apartments.

"Here. I got this for you." Jenny gave Alec a gift box, having bought it earlier at the mall after thinking it might suit him.

Alec beamed. "Thank you. I love it."

"But you didn't even look…" Jenny narrowed her eyes.

"I love it no matter what it is." Only then did Alec open the box to look inside.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 944-evealing a delicate cufflink. It was a deep blue shade, which suited Alec very well.

Content, he smiled. "It’s gorgeous."

"Of course it is. Don't you know who chose this?" Jenny asked with a hint of pride in her eyes.

She knew it was perfect for Alec the moment she saw it, so she didn't hesitate to buy it.

"Well then, goodnight," Jenny waved at him before turning around to open the door.

"Goodnight," Alec replied.

After Jenny closed the door, Alec didn't leave immediately. He stood still and gazed at the cufflink in his hand, his eyes deep in thought.

When Jenny went to the hospital the next day, she learned that Yvonne had been discharged. She overheard some gossip from the nurses that Yvonne's enemies had come looking for her.

Curious, Jenny listened to the nurses' conversation. It turned out that a handsome man had come to see Yvonne. From the nurses' description, Jenny found him vaguely familiar.

After thinking for a while, Jenny realized that the man the nurses described was very similar to Evan.

She wanted to believe that Evan wouldn't visit Yvonne but couldn't help but recall what had happened the day before. She realized she didn't know much about Evan, so she went to the control room to find out who had entered Yvonne's room.

It was Evan.

Jenny felt uneasy. After leaving the control room, she called Gilbert and asked, "Gilbert…do you know Evan's true identity?"

She used to believe that Evan had an ordinary job when he was overseas, but she didn't buy that anymore. How did he have so many subordinates?

Coupled with what Zeke said, Jenny guessed that Evan's men might have been involved in Xavier's case. Although most involved had been captured, Evan still had so many people. It only proved that he had many subordinates.

"True identity?" Gilbert didn't seem to understand what Jenny meant. "What do you mean?"

"Oh, I'm just asking." Jenny could tell that Gilbert didn't know more than she did.

"Is something wrong, Jenny?" Gilbert had been busy these days, dealing with company affairs as well as those of Zack and Janet Hale. He didn't know whether it was Zack who was an idiot or if Janet was just too strong. Despite presenting the evidence to Zack, his brother remained unmoved, making Gilbert anxious.

Jenny didn't want to worry him, nor did she want him to know too much, as it could be dangerous. "Nothing's wrong. Are you busy these days?"

She changed the subject in time. Fortunately, Gilbert didn't ask further questions, and the topic shifted to Zack and Janet's issues.

"I don't think Zack will give up easily." Gilbert sighed, not knowing how to advise him.

Jenny had no better way to handle the situation, so she said, "Take it easy. He won't be able to accept it immediately."

"I'm afraid he'll stick to his decision, even if he knows who the other person is and shouldn't be with her." He didn't want to argue with Zack, but Janet was not suitable for him, so he had to speak up to stop him.

That could very well happen, but Jenny and Gilbert knew that there was nothing else they could do except give him advice.

After ending the call, Jenny rubbed her temples, feeling that she had been increasingly bothered by things recently, and hardly anything made her happy.

Jenny decided she had to find a way to get rid of the bad luck that had been following her.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 945-Are You Matchmaking Them?

Evan did not show up in front of Jenny for the next few days. Perhaps he didn't know how to explain himself, or he never intended to. Jenny, on the other hand, didn't bother to call and ask him. She decided to wait for him to contact her.

"Is Luke going to end up in jail just like that?" Jenny still couldn’t believe it. After all, he was a Faust. Zeke had abandoned him so easily, which surprised her.

Sitting across from her, Alec put some food on her plate. "Zeke is not stupid.

Leonard is tightening the noose on this matter. If he insists on getting Luke out, the situation might worsen to a point he cannot salvage. He can't allow Leonard to escalate the situation, so he has no choice but to abandon Luke."

There were too many dark secrets in the Faust family, so Leonard could cause a lot of problems for them if he wanted. Therefore, Zeke dared not act rashly.

The reason he dared not act rashly was that he had not gotten rid of Alec yet.

With Leonard in the picture, he would be fighting on two fronts. Even as the head of his family, he could not handle it.

"Does that mean Leonard is rather capable?’ Jenny asked, her eyebrows raised.

Wondering what she was thinking, Alec glanced at her but did not pursue the matter. Instead, he replied, "Yes, but unfortunately, he doesn't have a good background or connections. His current position is probably as far as he can go.*

Ability and talent were not always enough.

Jenny asked, "When you told Stephanie to invite Leonard to dinner, it wasn't just for a meal, was it?"

Alec, a shrewd businessman, always had a reason for any kindness extended.

"If you already know the answer, why are you asking me?" Alec didn't deny it.

He had an agenda when he asked Stephanie to invite Leonard for dinner.

"Then let's do it tonight. I'll ask Stephanie to invite him. What do you think?' Jenny asked, looking excited.

It garnered Alec's suspicion. With a scrutinizing gaze, he asked, "Do you have a crush on Leonard? Do you like him?"

Rolling her eyes, Jenny scoffed and answered, "Please, I just don't want such an excellent person to go to waste."

She proceeded to eat her food, ignoring Alec.

Alec lightly chuckled, looking at her affectionately. "Are you matchmaking Leonard and Stephanie?"

"Don't you think they are a good match?" She thought Leonard was a nice person, and he looked rather handsome too. Wasn't it fate that he was Stephanie's classmate?

Alec was, after all, a friend of Paul's. Hearing her say that, he hesitated for a moment. "Actually, I think Stephanie still has feelings for Paul. Why don't you let them figure things out on their own?"

"Paul is a bastard who doesn't understand how to respect people. He can't give Stephanie happiness. He only makes her suffer."

In her opinion, if Stephanie had been interested in Paul, they would have made progress. However, the last time she saw them, there was clearly no progress, as Stephanie didn't treat him very well. It was very likely that her friend no longer had feelings for him.

Jenny thought it was a good sign as she didn't think they were a good match in the first place.

Alec sighed in frustration. "Actually, Paul is a good person. It's just that his upbringing since childhood has made him not understand what love is, so he did some things that hurt Stephanie. I believe he has changed now."

As an old friend of Paul's, Alec knew how much Paul liked Stephanie and hoped that Paul could find his own happiness.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 946-Leave It to Me "You are his friend. Of course, you would speak up for him," Jenny said, glancing at Alec.

She didn't have much of an opinion about Paul, but she felt that he and Stephanie weren't suitable for each other. Perhaps, as Alec said, it was because he didn't know how to love someone due to the environment he grew up in. If that was the case, Paul should learn how to love someone first and then come find Stephanie when he knew how. It made no sense for him to cling to Stephanie before learning how to love.

"It's normal. You want Stephanie to be happy, and I want Paul to be happy.

There's nothing wrong with that." Alec didn't think he was wrong to help Paul.

On the contrary, he thought it would be unbecoming of him not to help Paul.

Jenny didn't comment on that, as she agreed. "Don't worry. I just want to give the two of them some chance to interact. If Stephanie likes Paul, she won't like Leonard."

"Okay,” Alec nodded, but he didn't agree.

Even if Stephanie didn't like Leonard at the moment, there was no guarantee that she wouldn't change her mind. Nonetheless, it was none of his business. If Stephanie fell in love with Leonard, she wasn't meant to be with Paul. Alec, who was not involved in their relationship, couldn't do anything about it.

After the two had lunch, Alec took Jenny back to the hospital for work.

On the way back, Jenny messaged Stephanie, asking her to have dinner with Leonard. However, Stephanie didn't have Leonard's contact information.

Helpless, Jenny had to find the contact information herself, and she even wondered if she could get Leonard to join them for dinner. However, she thought that she should be able to get him to join them if she invited him, saying it was on behalf of Stephanie.

Just then, the car stopped at the hospital entrance. "Here we are."

"Thank you,* Jenny said.

When she was about to open the car door to get out, Alec asked, "Have you asked Stephanie about it?’ Having noticed that she had been messaging someone the whole journey, he guessed it was Stephanie.

Jenny nodded and said, "But she doesn't have Leonard's contact information, so I have to invite him myself."

"Do you have his contact information?’ Alec asked, frowning and wondering why she would have it instead.

Chuckling, she replied, "I got his contact information from him after I heard he was Stephanie's classmate."

For Stephanie's happiness, she had put herself out there.

Alec's face fell, clearly upset.

"You don't have to make the appointment. I'll do it."

"You?" Jenny was surprised, wondering if Alec would be able to convince Leonard to accept their invitation.

"Go to work. Leave it to me, and you don't have to worry about it." It was just Leonard. Was it too hard for Alec to make an appointment with him?

Above all, he didn't want Jenny to contact other men, even though he knew that she obtained Leonard's contact information only for Stephanie's sake. Seeing his determination, Jenny didn't press him with more questions. She believed that Alec was capable of doing that.

"Alright, I'm going to head in now. Drive safely," she said.

"Okay, I'll pick you up after work."

After Jenny disappeared from view, Alec started the car and drove to the Faust Group.

The Faust Group was not the same as when Alec had first arrived. Perhaps it was because of Xavier's death and Luke's recent arrest, the entire company seemed to be shrouded in gloom, with hardly any smiling faces.

However, all of that had no impact on Alec. Instead, he was happy to see this result. After all, the Faust Group was no longer his, and it wouldn't affect him much anyway.

Not only would he not take action to solve the problem, but he would also take advantage of the situation to make the Faust Group suffer more. Only then would Zeke make the right decision.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 947-"What's going on?" Jenny wondered, following the nurse.

"A patient's family requested that you perform the surgery," the nurse informed.

As she spoke, Jenny noticed the patient's family that the nurse was referring to and realized it was an old acquaintance she hadn't seen in a long time.

It was strange, really. Although she and Christopher lived far apart in Parrington, he had frequently appeared before her. However, now that she was in Bardoff City, she rarely saw him.

"Jenny." Christopher walked toward her. He wore a smile on his face, but it was much more restrained than before, and he seemed a lot more mature.

Jenny didn't know what Christopher had been through since she last met him.

However, given how much he appeared to have matured, she guessed that the Spades had been through quite a lot.

"Why did you come to the hospital? How is Mr. Spade?* Jenny looked at him, having an inkling of what had happened.

She had performed surgery on Harvey before, and she knew how bad his condition was because of that. A tragedy had been avoided because she had shown up in time.

Christopher teared up as he tried to control his emotions. 'Grandpa…he's not going to make it.' "Don't worry. Let me examine him. There must be a way,’ Jenny said.

Although she didn't know the specifics, she could tell the situation was probably not looking good, given Christopher's behavior.

Christopher shook his head and stopped Jenny from leaving. "There's no need for that. All the doctors have already checked on him."

Although Jenny was highly proficient in her field, she didn't think she was better than all the experts and professors in the hospital.

"How did it happen so suddenly?"

It hadn't been long since the surgery. As long as Harvey took good care of himself, he shouldn't have been in his current situation.

Christopher didn't answer. Instead, he said, ’Grandpa wants to see you."

It caught Jenny by surprise as she was not very close to Harvey. Shouldn't he be asking to see his children or grandchildren instead of her?

"He probably has something to say to you, probably related to your identity, "

Christopher guessed.

Jenny was a little surprised. Wasn't her identity already discovered? What else could Harvey have to say?

Jenny followed Christopher to Harvey's ward, questions swarming in her mind.

Outside the ward, many Spade family members were waiting for Harvey's call, but to their surprise, he called for an outsider instead of them. Hence, they cast her hostile looks when she passed by them.

However, they didn't dare to voice their thoughts. For one, it was Harvey's order.

In addition, they couldn't afford to offend Jenny.

After Jenny entered the ward, Christopher stood outside the door instead of following her in.

"Mr. Spade," Jenny called softly as she walked up to him.

Harvey was wearing an oxygen mask and looked very pale, which was a sign of his poor condition. Noticing her presence, he opened his eyes.

Seeing that it was her, he revealed a small fine. "Jenny, you're here."

"Yes. Well, everything will be fine.’ Jenny knew she was lying to herself but didn't know what else to say.

Harvey smiled, but perhaps because of his condition, his smile looked strained.

"You don't need to comfort me. I know my body's limits."

Jenny opened her mouth but ultimately didn't say any words of comfort.

"I wanted to talk to you about your mother," Harvey said without beating around the bush.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 948-would Harvey talk to her about her mother?

It was difficult for her to form a response. Since she returned to the Walter family and learned of her true identity, everyone's attention had been focused on her father. Because Graham was the head of the Walters, she had become a daughter of the Walters, and thus, no one cared who her mother was.

Harvey was the first person to bring up her mother.

"Yes, your mother," Harvey confirmed and continued, "Perhaps you don't care who your mother is and think it doesn't matter, but I still want to talk to you about her."

He knew that if he didn't speak up now, he might not have the chance to do so again, and Jenny might never know who her mother really was.

"No, you're wrong,' Jenny interrupted Harvey and looked at him seriously. "I do care."

Of course, she cared. That was her mother.

Although she had never met her, she had heard Graham talk about what had happened in the past. She knew her mother had left because she had no choice but to protect her.

When the topic of her mother was brought up, Jenny's tender heart would start longing for her.

Hearing her words, Harvey's face lit up with a smile of relief. "Really? That's great. Your mother would be very happy to hear that."

Jenny did not interrupt him and listened as Harvey continued, "Your mother's name is Lynette Bell. She's a very gentle and beautiful woman.

"Your father was not the first person to meet your mother. It was I who brought her to Bardoff City. I wanted to introduce her to my son. Although she didn't have the best background or connections, I had a good feeling about her and thought that if my son could marry her, he would be happy.

"However, fate is a strange thing. Your mother and father met each other at an event, and they fell deeply in love. Although I was upset that your mother didn't take a liking to my outstanding son, I didn't do anything because your mother was too perfect, and I couldnt bear to do anything to her. I could only watch her fall in love with Graham."

Sighing deeply, Harvey continued. ’If I had known what would happen, I would have tried my best to stop them. I should have known that marrying into the Walters wouldn't be easy. How could Graham, who was not yet the head of the family, protect your mother?"

Although Lynette was extraordinary, she had no social status or standing, and the Walters looked down on her. They would not let Graham marry her.

Jenny didn't know the details of what happened back then as Graham never told her about it in detail, only briefly mentioning it. Nonetheless, she could understand him. It must be painful for him to even think about her. After all, he failed to protect the woman he loved.

"I heard your father is looking for her?' Harvey asked.

Jenny nodded. "Yes, but there are no leads."

"As expected. When I first met your mother, I also had people investigate her, but nothing could be found.' After all, he was going to introduce her to his son, so he had to investigate her in detail.

"Why are you telling me all this?" Jenny looked at Harvey, wondering why.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 949-I Don't Think I'll Make It "I don't think I'll make it. I’ve been lying in bed these past few days with fragments of the past swirling in my mind. Your mother is among them, and I remember when I first met her. I remember she was injured at the time as if she was running for her life. I felt something was wrong, but she refused to tell me anything, and later, she suddenly disappeared." Harvey sighed in regret and sorrow.

"Injured?" Jenny was surprised. That was new information.

"I'm telling you all this because I hope you won’t give up on finding her. I always felt that something had happened to her, which is why she couldn't come to you.’ Although it was only his speculation, it was not impossible given the situation he had observed.

Jenny understood him. Nodding, she said, 'Don't worry, she's my mother, and I will find her."

She now had a different attitude toward the matter. Perhaps, she should be like her father and do whatever it takes to find her. What if her mother had really been suffering all these years?

Harvey didn't say anything more after that. Claiming he was a little tired, he asked Jenny to go out and call all the Spade family members in.

Jenny did as she was told and sat on a long bench outside the ward, watching all the Spade family members enter the room.

Soon after, she heard crying coming from inside the room. Regardless of how genuine the cries were, Jenny knew one thing: Harvey had passed away.

When she raised her head, she saw Christopher walking out of the room, calmly making arrangements. He seemed out of place among the other grieving family members.

However, Jenny knew he was sad but wouldn't show it. He refused to allow the other Spades to see his vulnerable side.

Jenny stood up and walked over to him, unsure how to console him. In the end, all she could say was, "My condolences."

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Christopher forced a smile.

He wasn't fine, of course. Even though he had been mentally prepared for this day, he found that he wasn't as strong as he had imagined.

"Is there anything I can help with?” Jenny asked.

Christopher shook his head. "No, I can handle these people."

The Spades had long been completely under his control, and even if they wanted to cause trouble, he wouldn't give them the opportunity.

Seeing him so confident, Jenny didn't say anything. "Okay then, I…I'll go back.

Let me know when Mr. Spade's funeral is."

"Okay, if you can come to send Grandpa off, he will be very happy," Christopher said to her.

Jenny thought seeing Christopher doing well would probably be the only thing that would truly make Harvey happy. But she kept her thoughts to herself. When she waved goodbye and was about to leave, a pretty woman suddenly appeared in front of them.

"What happened to Grandpa, Christopher," she asked.

Although she didn't know what had happened yet, she heard the sound of crying coming from the ward and began to tear up.

Christopher turned to her and said softly, "Go inside and have a look." Alexandra York was taken aback, afraid because there was a dead person inside the room.

Christopher saw her hesitation and chuckled softly, "Grandpa has passed away.

If there's nothing else, you can go back.’ "I'll stay here with you," Alexandra said. Although afraid to go inside, she didn't want to leave and knew she should stay by Christopher's side.

Christopher wanted to refuse, but Alexandra had already turned her attention to Jenny.

Looking at Jenny, she asked, ’Who is this?"

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 950-Must You Talk About That Right Now?

"She's Jenny Walter. A friend of mine.' Christopher introduced her without elaborating, not wanting Alexandra to know too much.

A friend?

A woman's intuition was always accurate. Alexandra could tell from the look in Christopher's eyes that he treated Jenny differently. Although they weren't doing anything out of line, she felt threatened.

"Hello, I am Christopher's girlfriend, Alexandra.” Alexandra reached out her hand to Jenny and smiled sweetly.

Although Jenny was surprised that Christopher had a girlfriend, she didn't ask any questions. She felt it was good that he had a girlfriend around him so he wouldn't be too sad.

She reached out and shook hands with Alexandra. "Hello."

"Christopher's friend is my friend too. Let's hang out together in the future,"

Alexandra said.

Jenny nodded and said, "Then I'll go first."

"Okay." Christopher nodded and watched her leave.

After she left, Alexandra looked at Christopher and asked, "She's from the Walter family, right?"

There weren't many people with the surname Walter in Bardoff City, so her guess couldn't be far off. Although Christopher ignored her, Alexandra remained very invested in the topic. "Is she the current head of the Walters? N The average person didn't know much about the Walter family's affairs, but those from bigger families like them knew quite a bit.

Christopher turned to look at her, his expression cold. "Must you talk about that right now?"

His grandfather had just passed away, so he wasn't in the mood to talk about anything else. He just wanted to send him off properly.

Alexandra covered her mouth and knew she had crossed the line. "Sorry, I was just curious."

"Curiosity killed the cat." Christopher's tone was cold, but that was all he said.

He understood Alexandra well. Given that she had been spoiled and pampered by her family since she was a child, she had no empathy for others. While she appeared sad, he knew she wasn't really upset.

However, he wasn't concerned about that. After all, he was sure Harvey wouldn't want others to be sad over him. Nonetheless, Alexandra shouldn't be asking so many irrelevant questions.

He sent Alexandra off, refusing to let her remain in the hospital. Then, he began to make arrangements for his grandfather's funeral.

Jenny returned to the doctor's office with Harvey's words still in her mind. Then, she called her father to tell him about the news she had just received, which might help them find her mother.

The call quickly connected, but Graham seemed busy on the other end." What's wrong, Jenny? Did something happen?"

"No, I just want to ask if you've made any progress," Jenny said.

"I guess so. I found someone from the past," Graham said. He was on his way to meet that person.

Jenny was surprised that he managed to find the person from a decades- old picture. She had to admit she was impressed. Then she told Graham what Harvey had said. "I was thinking, since Mother was willing to leave with those people, does that mean she knew them?"

"Perhaps." Graham agreed because he also thought so too.

"Is it possible that those people are her family?" Jenny made a bold guess.

According to what Harvey said, she thought it was very likely.

Perhaps Lynette had escaped from her family but was found by the family members after giving birth to Jenny.
