Ch. 891..900

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 891-She Will Not Let This Pass So Easily Maybe because Jenny still looked worried, Alec used the Nobel Prize as an example, and she understood clearly.

"Why don't the Fausts and Walters establish it together? This way, the pool of funds will be greater, and well be able to help even more people." After some thought, the Walters could join in too. It was her problem, anyway, and she was grateful to Alec for being so willing to help. She couldn't let him work alone.

Alec was naturally willing to collaborate with her. "Of course. However, you must think about how this will come across to the outside world.' "What do you mean?" Jenny wasn't too sure what he was saying.

"If the Fausts and the Walters collaborate, people are going to think that our families want to team up.’ There would even be people who might think they would marry.

However, Alec and Jenny had a history. On top of that, Luke would sometimes appear next to her side. It would easily cause a misunderstanding.

Jenny thought it was possible, but she didn't really mind. "Do you think that the Fausts won't agree to it?"

"Not necessarily. The question is if you intend to work together with us. If you do, it would be no problem. But if you don't, it's best if the Walters stay out of it."

Otherwise, Jenny would find herself in a difficult position.

Team up with the Fausts?

Jenny hadn't really considered it before. She wasn't in charge of the company.

She didn't know whether teaming up would be a good decision.

Suddenly, she asked, "How long do you think it will take for you to take over the Fausts?"

She was concerned about teaming up with the Fausts because Zeke was still in power. If it were Alec, she would be much more at ease.

"I will speed up the process." Alec couldn't give her a specific time. Convincing Zeke to entrust the Fausts to him was no easy feat.

"I believe you." No matter how much their relationship changed, she believed in his character. At the very least, he wouldn't hurt her on purpose.

Alec smiled and leaned forward. "Are you going to believe me just like that?

Aren't you afraid of me teaming up with Zeke to sabotage you?"

"Will you?" she asked.

"No," he said with no hesitation. He could sabotage everyone in the world, but he would never do anything to hurt Jenny.

Jenny smiled, too. "What do I have to fear, then?"

"Alright. Tell the Walters about this. I'll get someone to be in touch with them soon," Alec said.

Jenny nodded but grew worried again. "Can it be done as quickly as possible?

I'm afraid of her condition worsening."

Jenny was talking about that little girl's mother.

"I'll urge them.’ Alec nodded, promising.

Jenny sighed in relief as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She smiled. "Thank you."

"You don't have to be so polite around me." Alec felt happy seeing her smile. He thought that nothing in this world could make him happier.

Jenny couldn't bear the heat from his gaze and hurriedly changed the topic.

"You said that the Watkins have suddenly interfered. Do you think that Blake started it?"

Blake seemed to have disappeared after breaking up with Alec. But Jenny knew a conniving woman like her would not let it go so easily. She would have other tricks up her sleeve

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 892-Do You Need Help Even with This?

"I’m not sure, but it's a possibility." Alec had the same musings as Jenny. He didn't think that Blake was the type to let things go. The incident was quite possibly a pointed attack on him.

Jenny raised an eyebrow. With a hint of sarcasm, she said, "It's all a certain someone's fault for breaking her heart and making her angry.” "Don't blame me, Jenny." Alec waved his hands, not wanting to admit to being a heartbreaker. "I lost my memories. Most importantly, even when I had amnesia, I had no intention of getting together with her. She initiated our working together. I had no other intentions with her." Alec felt that he had to make it clear in case he left a bad taste in Jenny's mouth.

Jenny murmured in response. She didn't know if she believed it or not.

Alec wanted to elaborate, but Jenny quickly said, "I know. You don't have to explain so many things to me.” "That won't do. I don't have to explain anything to other people, but I have to when it's you. You have to know that I only ever had you in my mind.

Even when I lost my memories and didn't remember my feelings for you, I didn't think to get together with someone else," Alec said very seriously.

Jenny could tell that he wasn't joking. She had to admit that she was moved.

However, she would not agree to get together with him so easily this time. She had to test him. She couldn't let him think that she was easy to get.

She lowered her head and sipped her coffee. "Alright."

"Is that all?” Alec was obviously disappointed. He thought that Jenny would be moved by his words of sincerity. However, he did not want to give up. Instead, he thought that Jenny felt she couldn't trust him after all his wrongdoings.

They sat in the coffee shop the whole afternoon. Besides some things Alec said that gave Jenny goosebumps, it was a pleasant time.

On the opposite street outside the coffee shop, Evan sat in his car for as long as they were inside.

He couldn't understand what Alec possessed that would make Jenny give him so many chances. He had done so many bad things. Even if she didn't hate him, she shouldn't give him so many chances.

But now? He watched as they chatted merrily, feeling his hope disappear.

What could he do to make her fall in love with him?

That was what occupied Evan's thoughts. However, he had not thought of a way, which frustrated him. Sometimes he wished he could kill Alec so that he would no longer have a rival. But he knew that it was a hard task. Besides, if he were to kill Alec, and if Jenny were to find out, she would never fall in love with him. She would even hate him. That was why Evan didn't dare to kill him. He couldn't take that risk.

But when he saw how close they sat, it burned his eyes.

He took his phone out and called Gilbert. "Think of a way to get Jenny over."

"What?" Gilbert was bewildered.

"Jenny and Alec are together," Evan said.

Gilbert understood what he meant and was speechless. "That can't be, Evan.

Do you need help even with this? Who's the one pursuing her here?"

He wanted to pursue her too. However, he had long given up on the notion. He shouldn't be thinking about it, either.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 893-t happening.

Gilbert was exasperated. He had no choice but to agree. "Alright. But you have to do it yourself next time."

Jenny wasn’t stupid. If they did it over and over, she'd figure it out.

They had just managed to repair their relationship. Gilbert didn't want to upset her again.

Evan didn’t care about what he said. He hung up. He’d figure it out if it happened again. Gilbert was in the same boat, anyway. Flying solo wasn't as easy as all that.

In the coffee shop, Jenny received a call from Gilbert. She learned that Zack had just arrived in Bardoff City. Naturally, she would be anxious to meet him.

Alec's suggestion to have dinner together was brushed off just like that.

"I'm sorry. I have to go." Jenny looked at Alec apologetically. After all, he'd helped her solve a problem, and she was leaving before she even got to treat him to something. She felt guilty.

Alec felt bitter about it, but he couldn't let it show. "Is Zack here?"

"Yeah. Gilbert told me that Zack is also preparing to expand his company in Bardoff City. I didn't think that he’d come today." Jenny was happy. The three of them had not eaten together in a long time.

Alec forced a smile. 'I'll send you over, then."

"That's okay. I'll get a cab." Jenny was already feeling guilty. She didn't want to inconvenience him.

Alec didn't think it was a hassle at all. He had already gotten up. "Let's go. It's dangerous to get a cab now. I'll send you over. It won't take up my time at all."

"I…" Jenny wanted to say more, but Alec didn't give her the chance to. He held her hand and pulled her out of the coffee shop, ushering her to his car.

Not far off, Evan witnessed everything. When he saw that Jenny wanted to leave, he felt better. But now, Alec was holding her hand. The worst part of it all was that Jenny had not refused.

Evan thought that this was going badly. He was miles behind Alec. He had to think of a way to get ahead, fast.

Alec sent Jenny to Gilbert's villa. He didn't ask to go in.

"Take care and be happy." Alec waved at her.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 894-As You Wish Before Jenny's call got through, Evan's car arrived at the entrance. Seeing this, Jenny understood.

She simply gave up on calling and put her phone away. "Looks like it's not just a family gathering. Let's go."

"Alright." Alec smiled and glanced mockingly at Evan, who was just getting out of his car. He knew it was strange that Gilbert suddenly interrupted Jenny like that. Now that Evan had appeared, Alec instantly guessed that it had to do with Evan.

When Evan saw that Alec was around, he was bewildered. ‘Why are you here, Alec?"

"Jenny invited me over. Do you have a problem with that?” Alec raised an eyebrow as if daring him.

Evan raised an eyebrow, looking at Jenny, who was not far off. "Do you want him to tag along, Jenny? This is a family gathering. Who is he to come?"

"He happened to help me solve a difficult problem today. I brought him here to show him my gratitude," Jenny said, her tone unpleasant.

She didn't know if this was purely Gilbert's idea or if Evan had something to do with it, but she disliked it.

She just wanted to eat with her two brothers, but they called Evan over. Did they want to upset her? She had confessed to him when she was younger, but that didn't mean she had to continue liking him. Why did they stubbornly bring up the fact that she had confessed to him before?

Evan could sense that she was unhappy and pouted, saying nothing.

They walked into the villa, and Gilbert was surprised to see Alec. He hadn't invited him over.

"I brought him here," Jenny said. "I wanted to treat him to a meal, and you happened to call. So I brought him along."

Gilbert forced out a smile. He'd grown up with her. He knew that she was throwing a tantrum.

A fool could guess why. It was his fault.

"It's alright. We have other guests coming over." When he said guests, he really meant outsiders.

Jenny frowned as if sensing the meaning in Gilbert's words. "Are there more people?"

"You'll know." It wasn't just other people. It was someone who would shock Jenny very much.

Jenny didn't ask anymore. She had already decided that it was going to be a disappointing meal.

She volunteered to help in the kitchen. Alec and Evan wanted to help, too, but Gilbert did not let them go. He put them in the living room because they were guests.

They sat far apart in the living room, wanting nothing to do with each other.

"Your men are dead," Alec said, sipping tea. He didn't look at Evan, but Evan knew that those words were directed at him.

Evan did not give off much of a reaction, as if it was expected. "Okay."

Death was an escape. The Fausts would not let them go so easily if they continued living.

Alec had used the opportunity to pin their deaths on the Watkins. Zeke wouldn't suspect much.

"You've suffered great losses, haven't you?" Alec said. It sounded like he was mocking him, but it wasn't his intention. It was a casual question.

Evan didn't think so. He scoffed. "It is as you wish, isn't it?"

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 895-1 Think He's Better Suited for You Alec didn't mind. It wasn't so much his wishes as it was what they both deserved.

"Do you think Zeke will let you go just because you used the Watkins as a scapegoat?" Evan smiled. To him, it didn't matter to Zeke who killed Xavier. It only mattered that Alec could not live.

Zeke truly did not want to give the Fausts to Alec.

Alec smiled lightly, not worried. "That's none of my business. I only need to survive in his hands. You don't have to worry about me.' Evan scoffed. "Would I be worried if it didn't concern Jenny's safety? You should understand the position that you're in now. The closer you are to Jenny, the more dangerous it is for her. You wouldn't think the Faust boy is any good, would you?"

He felt that if Alec truly liked Jenny, he would have to keep his distance from her.

In fact, it was best if they cut off all forms of communication. It was all genuinely for Jenny's safety.

Alec understood his reasoning. But he also knew that if he held himself back now, he would lose his chance with Jenny and give Evan an opportunity to strike.

After a moment, he said, "I will protect her."

He wouldn't let Jenny fall into danger. What if…

He gritted his teeth, not following that train of thought.

"That's nice and all, but you're relying on the Fausts to survive right now. How are you going to protect her?" Evan felt that Alec had no way to protect Jenny, especially when faced with Zeke. He had no means of defense.

Alec glared at him and said coldly, "I'm still slightly better than you. Can you protect her? You wouldn't even dare to tell her who you are."

Although Alec was in a precarious situation, it was only temporary. Once he inherited the Fausts, the threats would be eliminated.

But Evan was a different story.

He had countless enemies. Not many knew of his true identity. If they did, he would have been overpowered by his enemies.

Evan gritted his teeth in hatred, but he had no way to defend himself. He knew how dangerous it was to be by his side.

However, he had already thought it out. If he could win Jenny's heart, he would wash his hands of his sins and stay in the country, building a new life for himself.

He felt no need to tell Alec of this.

In the kitchen, Jenny washed the ingredients while Gilbert chopped up the vegetables. He felt guilty when she said nothing. "I'm sorry, Jenny. I wasn't… n "I know. You just want to matchmake Evan and me, don't you?" Jenny smiled, seeing through Gilbert's heart.

He nodded. "Yes. I just think that he's better suited for you."

"Why? You've only contacted him for this short period. Why do you think he's better for me?" Jenny asked. She couldn't understand why Gilbert would think this.

Gilbert was at a loss for words. He’d just rather it be anyone but Alec. He would accept it if Jenny fell in love with anyone else.

Jenny quickly understood his silence. "You're just biased against Alec, aren't you?"

"He's not suitable for you. Have you forgotten how he treated you before?"

Gilbert was agitated. He knew his words would upset her, but he wanted her to know how he felt.

Jenny paused. She looked at him. "What if… I like him? What would you do?

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 896-Zack's Girlfriend Everything went quiet. Gilbert wasn't expecting Jenny to admit her feelings for Alec.

After a while, he sighed. ’It's your life. Although I don't like Alec, I wont interfere.

Supporting Evan is just my way of giving you another option.*

Hearing him say that, Jenny felt that her reaction was over the top. "I'm sorry, Gilbert. I wasn't…’ "I'm not blaming you. Blame me for the shoddy planning that's making you unhappy.' He knew that Jenny was not happy about Evan eating together with them. Jenny said he was her brother, but they all knew that time had diluted their relationship. Evan was no more than just a friend to her. She probably wouldn't want him to join in on their family gathering. That was why she brought Alec over.

They didn't continue the conversation. A woman's voice floated from the living room. Jenny was bewildered, looking at Gilbert in disbelief. "Why… why is there a woman in this house?"

"You'll know when you see her." Gilbert didn't explain much, merely sending her off to the living room.

Jenny was curious to know, so she did not refuse. She went into the living room.

Soon, she saw the woman. She was dressed casually, and her long hair was let loose. She looked incredibly gentle.

However, Jenny's gaze landed on the person next to her.

Zack stood next to her, and they were holding hands. They looked to be very much in love. Something went off in Jenny's brain, making her unable to make sense of the situation.

When he saw her, Zack waved. "Jenny, come over. I'll introduce you."

Jenny walked over in a daze, and Zack introduced her. She was Janet Hale, his girlfriend.

She looked like a Janet. Demure, gentle, and quiet. Jenny's first impression of her wasn't too bad.

"Nice to meet you," Jenny said, extending her arm.

Janet shook her hand. "Hello. Zack talked about you, and I'm finally getting to see you for the first time. You're prettier than he said you were.’ "Zack would never say I was pretty. In his eyes, you're probably the prettiest person to him," Jenny teased. They were polite.

After all, she was Zack's girlfriend. If they married, they would be a family. There was no reason they shouldn't be friends.

Hence, Jenny told Zack to help in the kitchen and leave Janet in the living room so that they could get to know each other.

Through their conversation, Jenny learned that Janet was one of Zack's employees. They kept their relationship a secret and didn't interact with each other in the company.

It increased Jenny’s liking for her. It was a challenge for quite a few people to keep their relationship a secret.

"You're Zack's sister, so you'll be mine, too, in the future,” Janet said.

Jenny was happy, thinking she was a nice person to get along with. "Alright. I'll call you Janet, and once you're married, I'll call you my sister-in-law.’ Janet blushed at this.

Jenny smiled. She was shy.

They chatted happily. On the other hand, Evan and Alec did not speak.

They merely glanced at Janet, uninterested.

However, Janet was interested in them. Jenny introduced them to her, and they didn’t say anything else besides a simple greeting.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 897-Am I That Sort of Person?

Not long after, Gilbert had the food prepared. Everyone sat at the table and began to eat.

The atmosphere was better than Jenny expected. The table was pleasant as long as Alec and Evan kept their mouths shut.

It was mostly Zack telling the story of how he and Janet got to know each other and fell in love. Jenny felt envious. It was all she wanted. To love the person she had feelings for without all the complicated emotions.

Alec saw the envious look in her eyes and felt upset. It was his fault. Forget what happened before their divorce. They hadn’t interacted and were basically strangers. What he regretted was becoming her boyfriend and then failing to cherish what they had. That was what caused this to happen today.

After dinner, they were in no rush to leave. Gilbert ushered Zack and Evan to the study, obviously meaning for a company meeting.

Jenny didn't know what it was about. She didn't know what Evan, a part of Walter Inc, could discuss with Gilbert.

However, she didn't worry. She believed that they wouldn't do anything to harm Walter Inc.

She stood on the second-floor balcony, staring at the moon in the sky. Her mind was adrift.

"What are you thinking about?" Alec had walked behind her, following her gaze.

"Nothing much. I just thought that the night sky looked pretty." Jenny didn't look at him, fixing her gaze on the moon.

Then, she felt a weight around her shoulders. Alec had placed his coat around her.

"It's pretty. But not as pretty as you are." Alec stood next to her.

Jenny looked over at him. Under his coat, Alec had on a brown sweatshirt. He was physically gifted. A simple sweatshirt looked elevated on him.

She then looked at his face, remembering what it felt like when they first knew each other. Now that they were more familiar with each other, it only increased his charm.

Especially those eyes of his. More than ever, she could just drown in them.

When Alec turned to look at her, he saw Jenny looking at him in a daze.

He smiled and leaned closer. "What's up? Fallen in love?"

Jenny blushed at once. She retracted her gaze. ’Narcissist.” "Yeah. You called me that when we were just getting to know each other.” Alec remembered her calling him a narcissist back then. He was so mad before. Now he thought it was one of the few beautiful moments they shared.

It wasn't too long ago, anyway. This was their first winter together, but Alec felt like he had known her forever. Their feelings ran so deep that it was indescribable.

Jenny remembered it, too, and she wasn't embarrassed by it. ’You were a narcissist. You were so arrogant; you looked punchable."

Alec was a narcissist now, but he was more reserved than before.

"Why didn't you punch me, then?" he asked.

"Am I the type to lash out so easily?" Although Jenny was exasperated by his bold manner back then, she didn't feel the need to punch him. Besides, Alec had come to find her so that she could treat Faye Lawrence. He was part of her patient's family. As a doctor, she couldn't lash out at him.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 899-Why Are You Regretful?

"Now that I think about it, I regret a lot of things." Alec looked at Jenny with mixed feelings.

Jenny was confused. "Why?"

"If it weren't for my arrogance, we might not have broken up," he said.

He sighed. With Mortimer's sudden appearance, he worried that the man would attack Jenny, which was why he distanced himself from her. He didn't even object to breaking up. He thought he was protecting her, but he was really just hurting her.

Jenny didn't argue. "Maybe we didn't trust each other enough back then."

"It's not that. I didn't understand you. I didn't know what would be best for you."

If he knew what her decision was, and knew that she was not afraid of danger, he might not have chosen to distance himself from her. The misunderstandings would not have happened, and they would not have broken up.

"Do you think you know me enough now?" Jenny asked.

Alec wanted to nod, but he didn't have the courage to.

Jenny smiled lightly. "What would you do if we encountered something like that again and we both ran into danger?"

"Isn't that what's happening now?” Alec smiled. He already had an answer.

Jenny was stunned. After some consideration, she figured that it was true.

Alec was faced with Zeke and all the danger that came with the old man. Not only did he not distance himself from her, but he also grew closer to her. Didn't this mean that he had already made his decision?

Jenny looked at him and couldn't help sighing. "If you were as determined as this before, this would be a different scenario altogether."

Alec said nothing. They lapsed into momentary silence.

At that moment, a voice sounded under the balcony. Jenny immediately knew that it was Janet's. She was on a phone call.

Jenny peered over the edge, wanting a clearer look, but Alec held her back with his arms around her waist. "Are you crazy? Aren't you afraid of falling down?"

"It's fine. I'll be careful." It was only the second floor. She wouldn't let herself fall; even if she did, nothing much would happen.

Quickly, Jenny heard Janet saying, "Money, money! That's all you want from me every time you call! Am I an ATM? I'm a person!"

Janet sounded agitated, which surprised Jenny. She was different from the Janet she had met earlier.

"So what if I've found a rich boyfriend? What does that have to do with you? If you dare to mess with us, I'll cut you off! You can forget about receiving a dime from me if that happens!"

Janet hung up angrily. She stood in her spot for a while before finally calming down. She looked around, only relaxing when she was sure no one was around.

At the same time, melancholy rose in her heart. Could it be that she would never escape from her family no matter what she did?

She sighed, but she buried her emotions quickly. When she turned and walked into the living room, her face was wiped clean of any other emotion.

When Jenny and Alec went downstairs, Janet was alone in the living room.

Gilbert and the others had not yet finished talking business.

"Hello, Jenny. Mr. Faust," Janet greeted when she saw them. She was still gentle and demure.

Jenny was at a loss. Janet had bottled up her emotions very quickly. She wasn't all that she seemed on the surface. Jenny wondered if her eyes needed checking. This Janet was not what she envisioned. Jenny felt that she had to investigate her. It wasn't because she wanted to pry but because she wanted to know why Janet was so close to Zack.

Zack was Jenny's brother. She would not let anyone with bad intentions go near him.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 900-Currying Favor Gilbert sent Jenny home. When she saw the massive garden, for some reason, Jenny felt lonely.

Afterward, she called Alfred and asked him to help her buy an apartment near the hospital so she could easily travel to and fro.

After Graham left, Jenny lived there alone. In such a big place, she was not happy at all. In fact, she couldn't get used to it.

She hadn't made up her mind about moving yet, but today, she had.

She wasn't worried about Walter Castle. There was a butler to keep things running, and it wouldn't go to ruins. Jenny would only consider moving back if Graham came back. She didn't like living in such a big place alone.

After washing up, Jenny lay in her bed. She wanted to be at the hospital early tomorrow to tell the little girl's mother about the charity, so she wouldn't be anxious to leave the hospital.

In a daze, Jenny quickly fell asleep. It was then that Gilbert reached his villa.

Zack had just reached Bardoff City and had not found a place to stay yet.

Hence, Zack and Janet would stay temporarily in Gilbert’s villa.

Gilbert didn't think much of it. The villa had many rooms, and they wouldn't take up too much space. He went into the living room.

"Gilbert," Janet said as she walked out of the kitchen. She was wearing a nightgown. Although it wasn't revealing, Gilbert still felt uncomfortable since they were not familiar with each other.

"It's late. You should sleep." Gilbert went upstairs.

Janet called out to him hurriedly, "Hold on."

Gilbert looked back at her. "I made Zack some soup. Would you like some?"

"I didn't drink,’ Gilbert replied. Then, he disappeared from her sight.

It was then that Janet remembered that Gilbert had sent Jenny home. He probably hadn't drunk any alcohol. She’d spent a large part of her night eating with her head lowered and hadn't noticed.

She felt a little guilty. She shouldn't have asked him that.

She sighed. Perhaps because of her fear of Jenny and Gilbert refusing to accept her, she became somewhat of a suckup when faced with them.

She knew that people would look down on her for doing that, but Zack was someone who treated her the best in all her years. She truly wanted to be with him.

But then…when she thought of all the things she had done before, she couldn't help frowning. Would they support her being with Zack if they knew what she had done?

She regretted it all very much, but what was the use?

After coming of age, she wanted to escape her family and live a good life.

Hence, she tried taking a few shortcuts, but they never worked.

Perhaps the Heavens still favored her somewhat. She met Zack.

Right now, what she wanted most was to win over his heart completely. She would not let go, no matter what.

She brought the soup to Zack's room.

He had just taken a shower and was walking out of the bathroom. When he saw her, he asked, "Why were you gone for so long? I said there was no need to make it. I'm not even drunk."

"You'll get a headache tomorrow if you don't drink it," she said, handing him the bowl of soup.

He had no choice but to take it. ’You never complain about getting tired." "I'm not tired at all. For you. I'll never be tired." Janet smiled at him, stirring his heart.

He gulped it all down at once and cradled her in his chest.
