Ch. 711..720
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 711-A Rare Visitor Jenny quickly forgot about her encounter with Derrick. She hadn't even taken it to heart and hadn't the slightest idea that she was already marked.
After leaving the hospital, she went to the company. Not Walter Inc, though. She went to Jeneration Group, which was being managed by Jade and Alfred.
Though technically, it was mostly Alfred doing the managing. Jade was spending most of her efforts on designs.
Jenny didn't think it was a bad thing. Jade was best at fashion, after all. She was working extra hard, probably because of her ex-husband. She wanted to take the brand to greater heights to surpass the company she had once built.
Alfred was in his office when he saw her and said, amused, 'Oh, a rare visitor."
"Oh, stop it." Jenny rolled her eyes, though she felt guilty. It had indeed been a while since she last came there.
If it weren't for Jeneration Group making it on the news, letting her know that it was growing bigger and stronger, she would have forgotten all about this company of hers.
She sat in front of him and asked, "Are things going well lately?"
"Yes, president. Everything is going swimmingly and developing at a steady pace," Alfred said, putting on a show. He even slid the financial report toward her. "These are the projects that we have recently signed, and these are the monthly financial reports. You can go through them."
Jenny felt a headache coming when she saw them. She took one up. The numbers crammed into the sheet of paper made her head spin. She couldn't process it at all.
She put the document down and cleared her throat. "The company is now in your hands. You can make the decisions. You don't have to show them to me."
Most importantly, she couldn't make heads or tails of it.
"I have no idea how you're going to manage Walter Inc. Aren't you afraid that it's going to close its doors?" Alfred could tell she had not understood the document, and he put it away.
Jenny pouted. "There are people worrying about it. I just need to be in power."
"Hmph. What a great plan." Jenny was so trusting of him. She wasn't afraid of him sabotaging her at all.
Jenny smiled and raised an eyebrow at him. "I wouldn't have hired you if I doubted you. Just relax and do it."
"Does that mean I have to thank you for your trust?" Alfred was speechless. He was regretting coming to work for her. He felt like she was just a ruthless capitalist, suppressing labor like him.
He used to envy Alec and thought running Faust Group was a great thing.
Everyone would call him Mr. Faust.
But now, Alfred, too, was called Mr. Faust. Yet, he didn't feel happy. In fact, he felt rather tired.
"Oh, there's no need. It's a mutual thing. You scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours.” Because of Alfred, Jenny got to relax. And because of Jenny, Alfred got to feel accomplished. It was like killing two birds with one stone.
Alfred didn't argue with her. He put away the rest of the documents and asked, "Was there something you needed?"
"Nothing much. I just think we need to expand our businesses more," Jenny said. This was something she had thought about not too long ago.
Alfred was surprised. "Like what?"
Jeneration Group had already expanded into many industries. Alfred had no idea how they could grow even more.
Jenny smiled and said, "Bardoff City is roaming with all sorts of big names.
Although we're doing fine on the surface, we're pretty powerless underground.
We have to buy all of our information. That's not good for us." "You mean we should build our own information network?" Alfred frowned. He was considering the possibilities.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 712-Capable People Should be Put to Work Jenny nodded. She had been considering it for a while. She thought that she was being too passive. If she inherited the Walters one day and had no means of gathering intel, a lot of things would be stuck in passive stages. Hence, she came to talk to Alfred about building a channel through which they could gather information.
After a while, Alfred spoke. "We could do that, but I have no idea how."
He had not done anything like it before. If he ever needed to find something out, he would have hired a private detective or gone to ask someone he knew. He had not wondered about where they got their information.
"Actually, it's easy. Do you know what makes people talk?" Jenny smiled as she popped the question at him. She obviously already had something in mind.
Alfred was stunned. Tentatively, he said, "Alcohol?1' Jenny nodded. That was precisely it. People were only willing to talk when they were drunk. On top of that, they would talk with no filters over their mouths.
"Are you suggesting that we open a bar?" Alfred asked.
Jenny snapped her fingers. "Excellent. Moreover, it can't be just any bar. It has to be a sophisticated winery. That way, we'll attract the people that we want to know about. Their knowledge is what we want." Jenny's way of doing things was all or nothing.
Alfred agreed with that, but he had his concerns. "There are a lot of bars in Bardoff City, and they're all supported by someone. Aren't you afraid of someone picking on you if you barge in like that?"
"Dont worry. I'm part of the Walters now. There shouldn't be any objections to me opening a bar." Jenny was confident.
And if things didn't work out, she could ask James to do it with them. With two families supporting the bar, they would have nothing to fear, even if one of the elites came to bother them.
However, it was best if James wasn't involved with it.
Arguments frequently happened when it came to business. People would have different stances and priorities. She didn't want to lose James because of it.
They discussed it quickly, including the address and the general theme of the bar. Alfred would handle the rest, and Jenny could continue being a hands-off president.
"You'll have to find someone to manage the bar. I have to settle things in Jeneration group. I wouldn't have the time to go to the bar every day." He could only do it short-term. He couldn't do it for long.
On top of that, they would have their work cut out for them if they wanted it to be a place to gather information. They had to train the employees, too. Otherwise, it would never work.
Jenny instantly felt a headache when he said that. "Alright, I'll find someone. But before I do, you'll have to do it."
"Are you trying to kill me?" Alfred asked sarcastically. He was beginning to wonder if his decision to work there was the right one. She didn’t think of him as an outsider at all. In fact, she didn't even think of him as a human.
"Capable people should be put to work, after all." Jenny smiled and got up." You can make yourself busy. I'm going to leave."
"It's already lunchtime. Why don't we go out for lunch? The food in the cafeteria isn't bad." Alfred got up, too, smiling.
Jenny's interest was piqued. "Really? I'll go try it out, then.' "Let's go. I'll bring you down." After Jeneration Group had settled down, Jenny rarely came by. She couldn't even locate the cafeteria.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 713-You Have Already Earned My Respect The food in the cafeteria was truly amazing. Jenny was satisfied, and she praised Alfred. "You're great at your job. Even the food in the cafeteria tastes good. You're really putting a lot of effort into this.’ "Of course. After all, I come here every day.’ He was all alone. Eating in the cafeteria was the most convenient thing for him to do.
Jenny felt embarrassed. 'What if L.get you an assistant? Don't tire yourself out."
"It's fine. I don't need one yet. If the workload becomes too much, I'll figure it out." He had the final say in whatever happened in the company. Jenny wouldn't even know if he had hired one, or several, assistants.
"Okay. You'll have to go by your judgment. Take care of yourself because I'm putting this company in your hands. Who else is going to handle it if something happens to you?" She said it sincerely, but in Alfred's ears, they sounded unpleasant.
He glared at her in a huff and said, 'I'm just a tool to you, aren't I?"
"Uh…"
"I thought we were friends." Alfred smiled bitterly. He probably overestimated how much Jenny thought of him.
Jenny nodded at once and said sincerely, "Of course we're friends."
"Really?* He didn't believe it.
"Really." Jenny nodded. There were no lies spoken. Although she had hired him with the intention of using him, that was a long time ago. She had already completely trusted him. She would not have entrusted the company to him otherwise.
Alfred smiled when he saw her nod. He felt better at once. ’Well, it seems that my efforts have not been wasted."
"Of course not. You have already earned my respect." Jenny no longer talked about this. She thought of Mortimer and said, "Is your father…still in the hospital?’ "Yeah." Alfred's face was expressionless.
"I thought that you would be on good terms with him." After all, Mortimer had abandoned Alec and his mother for Alfred and his mother. Alfred had experienced the love that Alec had not. They should be on good terms.
Now, it seemed that wasn't the case.
Alfred ate his food, saying nonchalantly, "I know what you're thinking, but the truth is that he never really loved my mother all those years they were together.
They fought a lot, and after each fight, he would play the victim and say he had given up a lot for us. He never really loved me. At most, I saw him every day, but I really preferred not to. At least. I'd be free to think of a father in whatever manner I liked."
He and Alec felt differently about Mortimer. Alfred did not hate him. He was merely indifferent.
That was the first time Jenny heard him say so much about Mortimer. She was feeling a mixture of emotions. She suddenly felt that whatever Mortimer was experiencing right now was karma. He had wronged too many people. Perhaps this was what he deserved.
They did not talk about it anymore. At this moment, Jade came to the cafeteria to eat as well.
She and Alfred were not alike. She didn't come there often, preferring to cook at home.
"Jenny? Why didn't you tell me that you were coming?" Jade came over with her plate of food, complaining.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 714-Why Don't You Give Him a Go?
Jenny was happy to see Jade. They hadn't seen each other in a while. "I thought you weren't in.’ Jade was busy with La Vie Jen Rose. Jenny knew this, which was why she hadn't gone to see her. However, Jade appeared to be in a good mood. Things were probably going well. "I take it that things are going well?"
"Of course. What could go wrong with me in charge?" Jade smiled. She was capable, and Jenny was backing her up. Everyone knew that Jenny was the future heir of the Walters. Based on that fact alone, no one dared to trouble Jade.
Jenny gave her a thumbs up. "We know you're good."
Alfred saw that they were beginning to chat, and he finished his food quickly.
"You girls can talk. I'm going back to the office to handle some stuff."
"Don't tire yourself out," Jenny said. If Alfred were to break down, she would be unable to replace him.
Although he knew why Jenny was so concerned, Alfred still felt happy." Don't worry. I won't let you down."
After that, he got up to leave. Only Jade and Jenny were left.
"I used to be wary of Alfred because I thought he had bad intentions. But after getting to know him, I think he's alright." Jade watched him leave, smiling.
Jenny nodded. She thought so, too. Suddenly, Jade looked at her. "You're single, too. Why don’t you give him a go? I think you might be interested in him."
Mortimer wasn't much of a character, but he had good looks. Both of his sons were very handsome. Alfred could not compare to Alec, but he was still fine. At least, to Jade, he was incredibly handsome.
Jenny was speechless. She wasn't expecting Jade to say that. "Why don't you worry about yourself instead? I hear Max has moved his entire company to Bardoff City for you."
"What do you mean for me? They're expanding their company for their own benefit." Jade didn't want to be responsible for something so huge.
Jenny smiled, placing one hand under her chin. "Oh, really? Are you sure that it has nothing to do with you?"
It had been a long time since she last saw Max, but that didn't mean she didn't know of the Pearsons moving to Bardoff City.
However, Max was no longer as carefree as he was in Parrington. Bardoff was a competitive place. It wasn't easy to survive.
"Oh, let's not talk about him. I'm getting irritated just thinking of him." Jade pursed her lips. She didn't even have an appetite anymore.
Jenny grew amused. She batted her eyes at Jade. "Why? Did you fight?"
"What do you mean fight? We aren't even together." Jade glared at Jenny.
Now it was Jenny's turn to be surprised. ’You mean he hasn't even successfully pursued you after all this time?” She thought that they would at least be together.
"I'm not in the mood to think about all this. I just want to make the brand successful." Jade ate unhappily.
Although she didn't say it out loud, Jenny understood her thoughts. "You wish to surpass your ex-husband, don't you? You want to prove that you're capable before considering a relationship."
After a moment, Jade nodded, admitting it.
"You don't have to do that, Jade. He's your ex-husband. He has nothing to do with you. Why are you stopping yourself from being happy because of him?"
Jenny couldn't help giving Jade advice
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 715-Being Unfair to Him Jade sighed. She put down her utensils and said, "I know what you mean, but I just can't let it go. I wouldn't be in the mood to be in a relationship unless I surpassed him."
Whenever she thought of his betrayal, a surge of anger would wash over Jade.
She had to succeed. That was the only way she would let things go.
Seeing how determined she was, Jenny couldn't say much else. "But this would be unfair to Max."
"I know. That's why I've never led him on. In fact, I want him to give up." Jade knew that she shouldn't be comparing herself to her ex-husband.
Anyone would think that she couldn't let him go. However, she didn't care about that as much as proving herself.
Jenny sighed. "Love is so complicated."
"Oh, how old are you? Are you old enough to be saying stuff like that? Aren't you afraid of being laughed at?" Jade teased.
Jenny shook her head. "Don't think I'm inexperienced just because I'm young, Jade. I'm a divorcee, too."
Although she and Alec hadn't betrayed each other, Jenny felt her situation was much more complicated.
"What do you mean, divorce? You're still a virgin." Jade thought it was good of Alec for not taking advantage of Jenny in their two years of marriage.
They talked and laughed. Once they walked out of the cafeteria, Jade reminded Jenny to get herself a boyfriend. That way, she wouldn't be so bored. However, Jenny didn't feel the same. Most importantly, she didn't think she was bored at all.
She had too many things to handle. She had no time for love.
On the way back to Walter Castle, Jenny walked instead of hailing a cab.
She would soon return to the busy life of working in a hospital. She wouldn't have slow moments like that anymore.
However, Bardoff Hospital was much more orderly than Parrington Hospital.
She wouldn't be the only surgeon in the hospital, either. There were many surgeons in Bardoff Hospital, and they were all incredible. She wouldn't be as busy as she had been in Parrington.
She walked home with her thoughts accompanying her.
Quickly, she realized that something was off. There was a car behind her.
She didn't look back. Instead, she took her phone out and turned the camera to selfie mode, pretending to scroll through her phone. She took a picture of the car's license plate.
The car stopped following her. Jenny began to wonder if she was being too cautious. However, just in case, she sent out the license plate number for someone to investigate.
In the car, Yvonne Dickman stared at Jenny's figure until she disappeared.
Then, she turned toward the woman sitting in the passenger seat. "There. I've already located her for you. You know what to do."
Alicia Flynn stared after Jenny. The hatred in her eyes was unmistakable. "I will avenge my brother without you needing to remind me."
She had been in the hospital all this while. Now that she was out, the first thing to do would be to take revenge on Jenny. However, her powers were limited.
She had to rely on Yvonne to find Jenny's whereabouts.
Even though Yvonne was willing to help her, Alicia was no fool. She knew that Yvonne wanted to use her to go against Jenny. However, Alicia didn't mind it.
She wanted to avenge her brother, after all. It didn't matter to her whether Yvonne used her.
"You are no match for her. Go and get your brother's mentor. Let him avenge your brother." Yvonne was afraid of Alicia running out to confront Jenny. That would be equivalent to sending her to her death.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 716-Think He Was Deceived "I don't need you to remind me. I know." Although Yvonne was helping her, Alicia felt indifferent toward her. If Yvonne hadn't employed her brother to be her bodyguard, he wouldn't have ended that way.
Yvonne didn't care about her bad attitude. In her eyes, she didn't have to care as long as they could go against Jenny.
Jenny had long forgotten Jonathan Flynn. She'd also forgotten about his sister, much less anticipate her coming to look for her.
At night, Jenny received a call from her senior, who was a psychologist.
"How is the psychologist I recommended before?" He had called to ask specifically about that. If the treatment wasn't going well, he planned to recommend another one to Jenny.
Jenny suddenly remembered the matter and asked, "I never got to know her name. Who is she?"
Alec said that her treatment was effective, but Jenny felt that there was something off about him. She wanted to find out for herself.
"Her name is Blake Watkins. She's a real beauty." Her senior chuckled on the other end. However, Jenny was stunned.
Blake Watkins? Wasn't she the daughter of the Watkins family?
So, Alec's psychologist had stayed by his side, and now they were together.
Things grew fishier the more she thought about it. Jenny’s heart was troubled even more now that she learned that Blake was Alec's psychologist.
After hanging up, Jenny prepared to call Alec. However, she hesitated just as she was about to press the dial button.
In the end, she called Vincent.
"Miss Jenny?" Vincent had already come to Bardoff City and was working in Faust Group as usual. Though to be precise, it was Wagner Group now.
Alec hadn't brought him to the Faust family with him. Perhaps he hadn't deemed it necessary. Maybe it wasn't the time yet.
"Vincent, I'd like you to find something out for me." Then, Jenny asked him to tell her all about what happened after Alec returned, especially the oddities about him.
Vincent had indeed thought that Alec was behaving weirdly. He hadn't planned on telling Jenny this because it was Alec's personal business. But when he heard Jenny also say that Alec was behaving weirdly and was possibly deceived, he told her everything he knew.
Afterward, Jenny called Old Mr. Faust. He, too, said that something was off with Alec. As a confirmation, she called Paul.
Old Mr. Faust was in Parrington, after all, and Alec hadn't contacted him after his return. The one he would keep in touch with was most probably Paul Wagner.
Paul didn’t treat her kindly. He said coldly, "Anything weird about him?
What are you asking this for?"
"I just suspect he's been deceived," Jenny said honestly. She believed that Paul was worried about Alec, too.
Paul frowned when he heard her. "You're not saying this just because he doesn't like you anymore, are you?"
"That has nothing to do with it. Don't you think he's been behaving abnormally?
If not, you can pretend that this call never happened. But if you do, and you're refusing to tell me for personal reasons, you're not thinking of Alec as a friend and letting him be manipulated."
She was placing the responsibility on him. Now, Paul had to tell her the truth regardless of whether he wanted to.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 717-I'm Obviously Going Against You Blake sat next to Alec in the restaurant, observing his eloquence, gentlemanly mannerisms, and calm and collected temperament as he talked to their client.
This was the man she had fallen in love with. This was who she wanted to be with for the rest of her life.
Thus, she willingly stood by his side when he was at his weakest. She believed that Alec would one day take over the Fausts.
Alec's phone vibrated. He paused and looked at the screen.
"Apologies. I need to take this." He sounded apologetic as he got up with the phone in hand.
Blake watched him leave. Her cheery mood had turned sour.
Walter…
The caller ID had only one name on it, but Blake could instantly guess it was Jenny.
The rage in her heart sizzled. Alec was her man. She had bet the entire Watkins family on him, so she couldn't bear to lose him to Jenny.
"You two go so well together, Miss Watkins," their client said. He intended to suck up to her. Compared to the insignificant Alec, he'd rather win the favor of Miss Watkins.
Blake smiled in embarrassment. Although she was angered by Jenny's call, she didn't show it on her face. "Thank you."
"When did you get together?" The client was curious. He was trying to gauge whether Blake and Alec shared a relationship. If they were, he would choose to work with Alec as well. But if they weren't, he would reconsider it. After all, everyone knew Alec's reappearance was to compete with the Fausts for the position of the next heir. If one stood by Alec's side, it would mean they were going against the rest of the Fausts.
If Alec failed, the client would be dragged down as well.
The question made Blake's eyes darken, but only for a second. "It's been a while."
The client relaxed. That was pretty much a confirmation of their relationship.
Alec's chances of success were strong with the Watkins by his side. Based on their conversation before, this man had excellent capabilities. At least, in this aspect, the other Fausts could not compare to him.
As they spoke, Alec accepted Jenny's phone call.
"What's the matter?" He sounded cold and a little annoyed.
But Jenny didn't care about that. She said, "Where are you? I need to talk to you."
"I'm busy." Alec remained cold. He was indeed busy. He had to return to the table to talk business.
With his complete refusal, a twinge of sadness appeared in Jenny's heart.
However, she insisted. "I really need to talk to you. It's important."
"Miss Walter, we are strictly business partners. Why do you think I'd talk to you?" He spoke emotionlessly.
Jenny was stunned. She gritted her teeth. ’If you don't talk to me, I will terminate all of our partnerships."' "Jenny Walter!" Alec was enraged. "Do you know what you're talking about?" "I do. I'm obviously going against you, the future heir of the Faust family. But I don't care about that." She had to see him. She already had her own reservations, so she had to see him now to confirm her beliefs.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 718-This Better Be Serious Alec was quiet. Jenny knew that he was furious, but she said, "Well? What's it going to be?"
She had already made up her mind to see him even if he refused. No matter what, she just had to talk to him today.
"Fine. You win." Jenny was proved victorious. Alec needed the Walters' help.
They arranged for a place to meet, and he hung up. He turned and walked back into the restaurant.
He sat in his original place and began talking with the client as if nothing had ever happened. Blake snuck glances at him, but nothing unusual could be seen on his face. She secretly sighed in relief.
Alec would probably not fall in love with Jenny. He had lost his memories. When it came to familiarity, Blake was the one most familiar with him.
Not long after, the deal was finalized. They all walked out of the restaurant together.
Blake and Alec said goodbye to the client. "You're really amazing," Blake couldn't help praising Alec.
Although Alec's authority didn't compare to the other Fausts, he was actually the most capable out of all of them. This was the man who was worthy of Blake. He wasn't like the useless men who only relied on their status.
Alec thanked her. "It's late. You should head home."
"Alright." Blake nodded. She walked towards the parking lot but realized that Alec hadn't followed her. "What about you?" Her heart thumped in her chest.
She had a bad feeling.
"I have some stuff to do. I won't be sending you home," he said. He didn't say what he had to do.
Blake knew that it most certainly had something to do with the phone call that Jenny had made. He was probably going to see her. Hatred brewed in her heart, but she didn't express it. "Alright. Be careful and go home once you're done.
Don't tire yourself out."
She knew that Alec didn't like women who pestered him. He would feel repulsed if she asked him too many questions, which was why she didn't do that.
Alec's car drove off. Blake hesitated for a moment before deciding to follow him.
She wanted to see if Alec was going to meet Jenny.
Jenny looked at the time once more in the cafe.
An hour had passed since their appointed time, and Alec was still not there.
However, she was not mad. She knew that he would keep his promises. It didn't matter if he was making her wait on purpose. She would wait for him. She wouldn't be angry just because of this.
When she started on her second cup of coffee, Alec arrived.
"This better be serious!" He expressed his displeasure right off the bat. He looked at Jenny as if she was an enemy.
Jenny smiled and ordered him a cup of coffee.
Outside the cafe, Blake's car stopped on the opposite street. She could see them clearly and tightened her grip on the steering wheel. "Bitch! We already agreed not to interfere with each other, but she's here bothering him! I won't let you win! Alec is mine!" Blake had spent too much energy and effort on him to lose him like this. On top of that, they had already made their relationship public.
She wouldn't lose.
She took out her phone and made a phone call. ’Tell the dumb Glasses that it's the Walters and the Windsors who are messing with them. And make it known that it's all because of Jenny.'
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 719-The Past Doesn't Matter Now Alec's frustrations were put to rest with a nice cup of coffee sliding down his stomach. "Talk."
Jenny nodded and straightened her back. She stared straight into Alec's eyes when she said, "You've lost your memories, haven't you?"
Alec's eyebrows raised, and anger flashed in his eyes.
"I've called Grandpa and Paul. I've deduced from their words that you have indeed lost your memories," Jenny continued before he could speak. She stared at him, attempting to detect any changes in his expression.
Surprisingly, he remained calm.
There was silence.
A few moments later, Jenny broke the silence. "Why aren't you answering my question?"
"I think you're hilarious. I don't know what to say," Alec sneered, his tone full of sarcasm. He leaned forward, placing his weight on the table. "Losing my memories? Have you watched too many movies, or are you just braindead?
Why are you telling such jokes?"
"Jokes?" Jenny asked. Alec's reaction was making her even more certain of it. "I thought it was hilarious, too, when I came to this conclusion. In fact, I couldn't quite believe it. But then I thought about it and can now confirm that you have lost your memories. That's why you haven't returned to Parrington. You're afraid of your grandfather finding out. You don't want to keep in touch with the people from your past because you're afraid of being found out.” Alec was avoiding even her.
Alec was still silent. He wanted to keep things vague, but Jenny was not giving him a chance. "If you haven't lost your memories, you'll be able to tell me where we first met and what happened on that day."
She knew that even if Alec had researched his past, he would not find out something as small as that. He wouldn't know the answer if he lost his memories.
Alec's eyebrows were furrowed. He was a little angry. "Why should I prove anything to you? Who do you think I am?"
"I don't need you to prove anything to me because I've already confirmed it. "
Jenny wasn't surprised that Alec wouldn’t give her a straight answer. She already knew it. She took a deep breath and organized her thoughts before speaking again. "I didn't come looking for you to prove anything. I just wanted to tell you the truth. You've lost your memories, so you believe everything that Blake tells you. You think that your feelings for me were just a psychological issue. But is that really so? To be honest, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you can't be deceived by that woman. She said those things to you when you had amnesia-"
"Are you done?" Before Jenny could finish, Alec cut her off with a sneer." Do you just mean to say that I really liked you? And that it's not because of a mental problem?"
"I just want-"
"It doesn't matter if I really liked you. What's important is that I really, really do not like you right now." Especially when he was trying so hard not to let anyone find out about his amnesia. Yet, Jenny had exposed his secrets. He wasn't happy.
Jenny instantly swallowed all the words she wanted to say. She looked at Alec, believing that what he said was true.
A moment later, she laughed. "That's right. Whatever happened in the past doesn't matter anymore."
Alec didn't care about whether he liked her or not.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 720-You're Behind This, Aren't You?
"You can go ahead being deceived by her if you like. It has nothing to do with me. I just want to tell you to visit your grandfather in Parrington if you can. Don't you know that he's in the hospital right now?” Jenny had given up on whether he liked her or not.
Alec's face darkened. 'I don't need you to remind me of it."
"If you don't, you'd have gone back to Parrington. Do you really think he would care if you have amnesia?” Jenny couldn't figure him out. If he honestly lost his memories, Old Mr. Faust would only help him. He wouldn't hurt him.
Jenny grew frustrated seeing Alec like that. She said, 'No one really cares that you've lost your memories. Don't keep thinking that everyone is out to get you.
They’d have to be powerful enough for that. You've lost your memories, not your emotions, Alec. I don't want you to do anything you might regret."
She had given Old Mr. Faust a call before. She could tell that he truly missed Alec. On top of that, he sounded weak. It was obvious that he wasn't getting any better in the hospital.
Jenny got up once she was done speaking. She added, "Blake is a psychologist. I hope that you'll analyze everything that she says. Don't let her misguide you."
After that, she left. She didn't care if Alec took her words to heart.
Alec didn't leave. He sat in the coffee shop, drinking another cup of coffee. He seemed to have woken up from a spell.
He hadn't just lost his memories. He had lost all of his feelings toward his loved ones. He didn't think much of it before, but now, he felt uncomfortable.
He knew that Old Mr. Faust was an extremely important person to him, but because of his amnesia, he couldn't figure out exactly how much. He didn't have that sort of empathy. Something like his grandfather lying in the hospital wouldn't affect him much.
However, Jenny's words made him realize that he was wrong. Perhaps he had to find his memories back.
At this thought, he reserved a seat on a flight back to Parrington. It was time for him to see his grandfather.
After their meeting in the coffee shop, Jenny no longer went to see Alec. But when she knew that he had gone to Parrington to visit his grandfather, she heaved a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, Alec had not lost his emotions despite losing his memories.
Today was her first day of work at Bardoff Hospital. Jenny got up early, not wishing to leave a bad first impression.
