To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 691-So Effective?

"Do you not know Steph?" Jenny asked in disbelief. Even she couldn't believe what she was saying, but Alec's response suggested that he had no idea who Stephanie was.

He quickly regained his composure and sneered, "Who is she? Why would I waste my time to get to know her?"

"Alec, what's wrong with you? Steph is my best friend. You've met her before; you know her. Why are you reacting like this now?" It seemed as if he'd never met Stephanie, and Jenny couldn’t understand how the situation came to this.

Jenny's words made Alec realize that despite his investigation and reading up on information related to them, there were still many missing pieces. Stephanie was a good example right now. She had no connection with him, but they knew each other because of Jenny, and they had met before. However, he had no memory of this person.

Not wanting Jenny to know about his amnesia, he tried to cover it up by saying disdainfully, "So what if I know her? Since I'm not interested in her. Why would I waste my time on her?’ He didn't deny that he knew Stephanie, as it wasn't something he could deny.

He put up a front to show that he wasn't interested in her and didn't care about her affairs.

Jenny frowned, feeling something was off, but she couldn't put her finger on it right then.

Taking a deep breath, she temporarily suppressed her doubts and asked him, "If you're not interested in her, why are you here? Could it be you're here because you care about me?"

"Of course not." Alec denied without hesitation, but after denying it, he was puzzled.

Why did he come? He had heard the receptionist talking on the phone and learned that Jenny had called a doctor, so he followed along. But why? He didn't like Jenny, so whether she had an accident or not had nothing to do with him.

Jenny looked at Alec suspiciously, as his reaction was too abnormal. "Are you sure your psychological issues are really resolved?"

"Of course." Alec nodded and said, "Speaking of which, I have to thank you.

I have to say, the psychologist you introduced to me is very effective."

Jenny herself wouldn't have expected that the psychologist she introduced to Alec was Blake. That day, Blake called him coincidentally, which led to him being rescued in time. Speaking of which, he should actually thank Jenny.

"Is it really that effective?" Jenny couldn't help but feel uneasy about Alec's current state.

"Well, you can kind of say that I came because I was worried about you. After all, we are business partners now. If something happened to you, wouldn't the information I give you about the Glasses be wasted?"

Alec changed the topic and didn't continue discussing his psychological issues.

Hearing Alec's words, Jenny felt a mix of emotions. She felt a little unhappy about what he said, but at the same time, she kind of expected it.

She and Alec were indeed merely business partners, and that was their only connection.

Without waiting for her to speak, Alec spoke up again, "Also, stay away from the rest of the Fausts. Do you really think Julian is as innocent as he looks?"

Thinking back to how Jenny and Julian were chatting and laughing merrily earlier, Alec didn't feel too thrilled.

Jenny hesitated for a moment, then realized that Alec had probably seen her talking to Julian.

"Don't worry, Mr. Faust. I won't promise you one thing and do something else behind your back. Since I promised to work with you, I won't collaborate with any other members of the Faust family."

She thought Alec was worried that she would betray him, but this concern was unnecessary. On top of that, Alec was being a bit unreasonable, considering that she was mostly helping him despite chatting with Julian.

If it hadn't been for his sake, why would she bother suggesting to Julian that he should help Alec in the first place?

She didn't plan to tell Alec about it-he wouldn't believe her anyway.

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 692-Shameless "Hmph, who knows," Alec said coldly, clearly skeptical.

His tone made Jenny feel uncomfortable, and her expression hardened." Alec, you need to understand that we are in a business partnership. I'm not your subordinate, and you have no right to act all high and mighty with me."

Seeing her angry, Alec frowned slightly. "I'm just reminding you not to get too close to the other Fausts. They might have ulterior motives when they approach you."

"That would be none of your business, Mr. Faust. After all, I'm not very familiar with you either." Jenny glanced at him, her expression indifferent.

Alec was slightly annoyed. He sneered, That's true. Considering that you have quite a few men around you, you're not likely to be interested in that idiot, Julian."

At his words, Jenny's already unhappy expression turned into one of immense displeasure as she looked straight at Alec. "Mr. Faust, are you unhappy with the men around me? Or are you hoping to be one of them?"

"Shameless," Alec scolded under his breath.

"You take care of yourself, Mr. Faust. As for me, there's no need for you to worry." Jenny couldn't be bothered to explain herself to him.

Alec smirked, his words tinged with sarcasm. "Worry about you? Miss Walter, you really think highly of yourself."

"You should be on your way now. I won't see you off," Jenny responded angrily, not wanting to see Alec for another second.

Why was he so despicable? His words were always so hurtful.

Alec's expression soured upon being chased away. "Who said I'm leaving?"

"Mr. Faust, if you're not leaving, are you planning to stay here and sleep with me?" Jenny glared at him, thinking Alec was acting like he had lost his marbles.

Alec raised an eyebrow as he looked at her. He smirked and said, "Were you always this casual with men?"

"Get out, Alec!" Jenny pointed to the door, furious.

Seeing her mad, Alec's mood seemed to take a turn for the better. He smiled as he walked toward the door. "As for the Glasses, I hope you make your move soon. Don't keep everyone waiting."

Jenny opened her mouth to speak, but no sound came out.

Alec could still read one word from her lip movements: "Leave."

He chuckled lightly, finding it somewhat amusing.

Jenny felt a little flustered but quickly calmed herself down. She reassured herself that when she first met Alec, he had always been unpleasant. She had known it early on. After Jenny watched his figure disappear from her line of sight, it took her a while to calm her emotions.

About two hours later, the engagement banquet downstairs ended, and Stephanie finally woke up.

When she woke up, she realized she was lying on an unfamiliar bed. She instantly recalled what had happened, her face turning pale in an instant.

After a quick check, she realized that nothing had happened. With that, she breathed a sigh of relief. Upon walking out of the room, she immediately understood why she was unharmed.

"Jenny." She looked at Jenny and was touched.

Hearing Stephanie's voice, Jenny turned to look at her. "Finally, you're awake. I was going to call the doctor to examine you again if you didn't wake up."

"I'm sorry, I-’ "It's not your fault. It's our fault for not doing a good job with the security and almost causing you harm." Before Stephanie could apologize, Jenny spoke first.

Stephanie was slightly stunned, and then she understood the meaning behind Jenny's words. "But I still have to thank you. If you hadn't appeared in time, I don't know what would have happened."

Now that she thought about it, that guy who handed her the glass of wine was definitely up to no good. She blamed herself for being careless.

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 693-No Need to Stop Her Jenny pursed her lips and said, after much deliberation, “It wasn't me who saved you. When I arrived, you were already safe."

"Huh?" Stephanie was puzzled. If it wasn't Jenny, then who else could it be?

"It was Paul. He'd already taken care of that lecherous man when I arrived."

Despite not liking Paul, Jenny chose to tell Stephanie the truth.

As for what Stephanie would choose, Jenny would leave it up to her, but she wouldn't allow Paul to keep her constantly bound to him. She wanted Stephanie to have the right to choose instead of being denied the chance by Paul.

Hearing that Paul was the one who saved her, Stephanie felt conflicted deep inside, but she quickly smiled and said, "Tch! Who cares if he saved me? He wouldn't use saving me as leverage against you, would he?"

It wasn't that Stephanie was prejudiced and thought badly of Paul, but she didn't have a good impression of him currently.

Jenny shook her head. "No, he didn't say anything."

When it came to something like that, Paul hadn't stooped to such a low level.

Stephanie nodded and stopped thinking about him. "The banquet should be over by now. Shall we go back?"

"Okay." With that, the two of them got up and left the room. They got downstairs and made their way back.

After Jenny sent Stephanie home, she hurried back to her own home. However, when she walked into the living room, she found it messy, with packed belongings scattered everywhere.

"What's going on?" Jenny asked the maid standing nearby.

"It seems Miss Jolene is moving out," the maid replied.

Just as the maid finished speaking, voices came from upstairs, or more accurately, arguing voices.

Jenny went upstairs to Jolene's room, where she saw her packing her clothes.

Rowena and Graham were also in her room.

"Dad," Jenny said, attracting everyone's attention.

Upon seeing her, Graham gestured anxiously and said, "Help me persuade your sister. She insists on moving in with James even though they just got engaged.

How can she just move in like this?"

If outsiders knew about this, what would they think of Jolene?

Jenny was also surprised to hear that and turned to look at Jolene, who spoke up first, "I won't listen to you. James asked me to move in with him. This means he intends to take things further with me. Isn't that a good thing?"

She could already guess that Jenny wouldn't have anything nice to say, so she couldn't be bothered to listen to what she had to say.

Surprisingly, Jenny didn't try to dissuade Jolene. Instead, she told Graham,"

Dad, since Jolene has made her decision, just let her be. What's the point of trying to persuade her?"

"Jenny…"

"You should understand this, Dad. People need to learn to bear the consequences of their choices. You can help her today, but can you help her for a lifetime?" Jenny cut him off, her expression indifferent.

Graham sighed and glanced at Jenny, then at Jolene. Shaking his head helplessly, he said nothing more and left the room. He silently thought that Jenny was right. He couldn't keep helping Jolene forever. No matter what awaited Jolene when she moved in with James this time, she should bear the consequences herself.

After Graham left, Jolene suddenly felt a little doubtful. She looked at Jenny and asked, "Why didn't you stop me from moving in with James?"

"Why should I stop you? You're already engaged. It's not wrong to live together."

Jenny smiled. If they were an ordinary engaged couple, nothing would be wrong with it.

But were Jolene and James an ordinary engaged couple? Clearly, they weren't.

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 694-Can't Compare to Her Jolene became even more suspicious when she heard that. She felt that something was off.

"I'm telling you, I'm James' fiancee now. He won't let you off if you dare to plot against me behind my back."

Jenny smirked. "You're overthinking it. I have no intention to plot against you."

Jenny knew James' personality quite well and knew that Jolene would be in for a miserable time after she moved in with him. As such, Jenny didn't need to plot against her at all.

"Really?" Jolene couldn't believe it.

Jenny nodded and said, "Hurry up and pack. Don't keep your fiance waiting."

"Okay." Jolene nodded, thinking it made sense as she turned to continue packing her things.

Throughout their conversation, Rowena silently stood on one side, staring at Jenny suspiciously. Under normal circumstances, Jenny should have stopped Jolene. After all, if Jolene and James' relationship escalated, it wouldn't be good for her.

Could it be that she was quite certain that Jolene and James wouldn't develop feelings for each other?

Thinking of it, Rowena felt pensive. In fact, it had always been her concern.

After Jenny left, Rowena couldn't hold back any longer and said, "Jo, why don't you consider this more carefully? I have a hunch that James is up to no good by asking you to move in with him right now."

"Mom, we're already engaged. He wouldn't think of harming me, would he?"

Jolene asked as she continued to pack her things.

She thought that her mother was overthinking it. Now that she was James' fiancee, it was reasonable for him to ask her to move in with him to show that he cared about her.

"But you saw his attitude during the engagement banquet. He clearly doesn't like you, but he asked you to move in with him out of the blue. Isn't that strange?"

When James messaged Jolene and asked her to move in with him, Rowena was very shocked. But her daughter was stubborn and wouldn't listen no matter what she said.

Jolene fell silent for a moment. She also felt that James' attitude had changed too quickly.

Nevertheless, she gritted her teeth as if she had made up her mind. "No matter what his reasons are, I only have one goal: to make him fall in love with me.

Mom, I know you're worried, but if I don't move in with him now and be with him, how can we develop feelings for each other? I don't want to end up like you and Dad. You may be husband and wife, but you treat each other like enemies."

Jolene's words pierced right into Rowena's heart. She said it without any consideration for her mother's feelings at all. It made Rowena a little upset.

"Suit yourself then. Don't come crying to me when you're mistreated in the future," Rowena said, tired of talking. After all, Jolene wouldn't listen to her now and even said hurtful things to her, so it wasn't worth her time.

She thought she should prioritize herself now since Jolene had found somewhere to settle down. There was nothing worth staying for in the Walter family anymore.

Jolene quickly finished packing her things and left. Jenny sat in the living room and watched her leave with a smile on her face. Not to mention Graham, even Rowena didn't seem to have the intention to see her off. The scene was quite interesting.

After making sure that Jolene had really left, Jenny stretched her body. With one annoying person gone, her mood improved a lot. However…

Her gaze fell on Rowena, who was sitting opposite her. There was still another person here, and she was the more difficult one to deal with. Jenny felt she couldn't let her guard down so soon.

Sensing Jenny's gaze, Rowena looked at her and said, "You must be happy now that Jo has moved out." "In terms of happiness, I think I can't compare to her," Jenny replied with a smile leisurely, wanting to see what Rowena was going to say.

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 695-We Shall See Rowena snorted coldly. It was obvious to her that Jenny had some ulterior motives. "Don't be too proud. Even if Jo moves out, you won't be the one calling the shots here. As long as I'm here, I'm the lady of this house!"

"It's okay. That won't be the case soon." According to Graham's plan, he would soon hand over the Walter family to her. At that time, Rowena wouldn't be the lady of the house anymore.

Rowena's expression changed slightly as she struggled to control her anger. "Is that so? We shall wait and see."

"Sure, let's wait and see." Jenny wasn't afraid of her either.

Both of them returned to their respective rooms. Just as Jenny was curious about what Rowena would do, she heard footsteps downstairs. She walked to the balcony and happened to see Rowena leaving Walter Castle. She wondered where she was going at such an hour.

After some thought, Jenny took out her phone and made a call. "Help me keep an eye on Rowena. I want to know who she's meeting."

She was definitely meeting up with someone at this hour, but who could it be?

Meanwhile, at James' villa, Jolene arrived at the door with her luggage. The driver helped her unload the luggage and left.

She rang the doorbell, and it took a while for someone to open the door. It was an old maid, probably one of the staff at the villa. "Are you Miss Jolene?"

"Yes, where's James?" Jolene asked.

"Mr. Windsor hasn't returned yet," the maid answered.

Jolene frowned, feeling unhappy. Today was the day of her engagement with James. Why wasn't he back when it was so already late?

"Take my luggage inside, and then prepare some soup so we can have it when James returns." She gave orders like she owned the place and proceeded to walk in.

But the maid didn't move, and she said to Jolene, "Mr. Windsor has instructed that since you want to be the lady of this house, then you must do everything yourself."

"What?" Jolene thought she must have misheard.

The maid ignored her and continued, "After I give you the key, I'll leave. From now on, only you and Mr. Windsor will live here."

"Hey, hold on-"

After finishing her words, the maid stuffed the key into Jolene's hand and left, ignoring Jolene's call.

Jolene spent two hours moving all her luggage to the master bedroom. Just as she was about to take out her clothes and put them in the wardrobe, she heard the sound of the door opening downstairs.

Jolene's face lit up with joy as she hurriedly walked out of the master bedroom.

When she saw that the person who had come in was James, her smile grew even brighter.

"James, you're back," she said, running downstairs and standing in front of him.

As soon as she got close, she smelled the alcohol coming from him and furrowed her eyebrows slightly. "Are you drunk?"

Upon hearing her voice, James felt a surge of disgust from the bottom of his heart. "What are you doing here? Who let you in?"

Jolene felt awkward. "James, you were the one who asked me to move in with you."

Upon hearing her words, James seemed to sober up a bit and remembered that it was indeed the case, but even so, his expression did not soften.

With a chuckle, he went straight upstairs, ignoring her completely.

However, Jolene followed closely behind and asked softly, "James, shall I make some coffee for you?"

James didn't say anything; he just felt annoyed. He pushed open the door and walked into his bedroom, immediately noticing all the luggage on the floor.

"Who let you move all this junk into my room?"

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 696-Get Out!

"These are all my luggage, James. I'll tidy them up quickly," Jolene said.

As she was about to go over and tidy up her luggage, she was pushed to the floor by James. He looked down at her with disdain, not hiding the disgust in his eyes.

"Hmph! You wouldn't be thinking of sharing a room with me, would you?"

"James…" Jolene felt uneasy, especially with James' current demeanor. It made her have the urge to run away.

"Go to the servants' quarters downstairs; that's where your room is."

James didn't even look at her as he walked toward the bathroom. Soon, the sound of water splashing came, and Jolene was still on the floor, feeling lost.

The servants' quarters? But she was the Windsors' future lady of the house.

How could she stay in the servants' quarters?

Then again, she thought of James' demeanor a moment ago and couldn't help but feel scared. After hesitating for a while, she finally dragged her luggage downstairs. Moving her luggage upstairs had already exhausted her. Now, she had to move them downstairs again. By the time she was done, she was utterly exhausted.

Just as she finished moving everything, James came out of the bathroom."

Where's the coffee?" He stood on the second-floor corridor, looking at Jolene, who was resting on the sofa in the living room. "Did you think I asked you to come here to enjoy yourself? Since you're so eager to be a Windsor, you must take care of all the household chores for me from now on. If anything displeases me even a little bit, don't blame me for sending you back to the Walters."

James looked at Jolene sternly as she stood up from the sofa with a pitiful look.

"James, can't we hire a maid?" she asked.

"Hire a maid? Then what use do I have for you?" James didn't mince his words.

He asked Jolene to move in so that he could torment her. Naturally, he wouldn't let her have a good time.

Jolene bit her lip, on the verge of tears. "I'm your fiancee. How can you treat me like this?"

"Fiancee? You know very well how you became my fiancee. If you want to become a Windsor, then show your sincerity."

Jolene took a deep breath and seemed to come to a decision. "So, after I show my sincerity, will you accept me then?"

"We'll see." Accept her? James would never accept her in his entire life.

With that, James turned and went back into his room, reminding her once again before leaving, "Coffee. Don't make me remind you again."

"Okay." Jolene nodded. She knew that James was deliberately making things difficult for her. But since she chose to move here, she had to make him accept her. Otherwise, everything she had done before would be in vain. She couldn't give up, and she couldn't let James chase her away.

After silently encouraging herself in her heart, Jolene walked toward the kitchen to make some coffee for James.

Half an hour later, Jolene pushed open the door to the master bedroom."

James, here's some coffee."

"Get out! Don't you know how to knock?" James looked coldly at her, closing the files in his hand.

Jolene was frightened and quickly apologized. She closed the door and knocked before coming in again. This time, James didn't say anything. He took the coffee she handed him but didn't drink it.

Just as Jolene wondered why he wasn't drinking it, James sneered at her." I dare not eat anything you make."

"James, I…"

The cup in James' hand fell to the floor with a loud thud. He looked at Jolene mockingly. "Who knows? You might be trying something again."

"James, I'm not-"

"Clean up the mess, and then get out." James was not in the mood to listen to her explanation. He waved his hand dismissively and turned back to his work.

Tears streamed down Jolene's face uncontrollably, but she bit her lip to prevent herself from crying out loud.

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 697-Intense Hatred After carefully cleaning up the spilled coffee on the floor, Jolene left the master bedroom. Right as she stepped out of the door, she couldn't help but burst into tears.

She'd been the princess of the Walter family for so many years. When had she ever done such things?

She returned to the servants' quarters and called Rowena, hoping that her mother could come up with a solution for her. However, the phone rang for a long time with no answer, and her heart grew colder with each ring.

Jolene couldn't have imagined that, at that moment, Rowena was lying in the arms of an old man. He was considered old because he was about a decade older than Graham. The man was Boris Walter, Graham's first cousin once removed.

If Graham had seen this scene, he would probably be so angry that he would want to shred the man into pieces.

Boris held Rowena in his arms as he lit a cigarette, feeling satisfied.

Although Rowena was a bit older in age, she had the charm of a mature woman, and Boris even thought she was more to his taste than those young girls.

"Uncle Boris, when do you plan to take action against Graham?" Rowena snuggled up in his arms and asked sweetly.

She still called him "Uncle Boris," although she had always felt repulsed by this way of addressing him. However, Boris insisted that she call him that way adamantly.

After finishing his cigarette, Boris smiled and said, "What's the rush?

Graham isn't the only one in Walter Inc. I need to contact the others first so that well have a better chance."

Boris also worked at Walter Inc and was a member of the board of directors. His lifelong goal was to take Graham down and get the position of chairman for himself. It was just that he hadn't had a chance before.

When Rowena took the initiative to come to him and said she wanted to suggest a collaboration, he was very surprised. But more importantly, he was pleased, thinking he finally had a chance to achieve his goal.

"My family is interested in working with you. Would you like to meet them?"

Rowena spoke up, as her main purpose that day was to facilitate collaboration between the two.

With Boris's ability, it would probably take a long time for him to deal with Graham alone. She didn't have that much time and didn't want to wait, so she decided to rope in the Glasses to deal with Graham together.

After a round of serious contemplation, Boris nodded. "Alright, the Glasses are your family, after all. I trust you."

Boris didn't really mean what he said, of course. However, he had a clear understanding of his own capabilities and knew that his best choice was to work with the Glasses.

He lowered his head to look at the woman in his arms. "What did Graham do to offend you? Why do you hate him so much?"

"He has offended me in many ways. Even if he dies now, I won't shed a single tear." Not only would she not shed a single tear, but she would also quickly calculate the inheritance she could get.

Right now, she was only interested in gaining more wealth for herself.

After so many years, she finally understood that feelings and emotions were worthless.

Hearing what she said, Boris shivered and thought, "Indeed, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. It's best not to easily offend this woman.

Otherwise, you wouldn't know how she'll scheme to do you in."

Rowena noticed the call from Jolene after she saw Boris off. She was about to call her daughter back but decided against it.

For Jolene to call at this time, Rowena could guess the reason to some extent.

Then again, she had already advised her as much as she could.

Even if Jolene complained to her now, she couldn't offer her a better solution.

Moreover, she couldn't rely on her mother forever.

"Jo, you should learn how to face this cruel world on your own!" Rowena thought.

To Be Yours Again by Taylor Chapter 698-Marriage in Name Only When Rowena returned to Walter Castle, it was already 2 in the morning. She had just walked into the living room and was about to quietly go back to her room when the lights in the corridor were suddenly turned on.

She was startled and turned around to find that the person who had turned on the lights was Jenny. Her heart raced uncontrollably faster. "Jenny, why aren't you asleep at this late hour?” "You're not asleep either, and you just came back so late. What were you doing, Rowena?" Jenny smiled, and under the illumination of the lights, her eyes seemed to be glowing, making Rowena feel like she had nowhere to hide.

Rowena tried to suppress the panic in her heart and said expressionlessly," I felt sad because Jo moved out, so I went to talk to a friend."

"Oh, really?" Jenny smirked with a hint of sarcasm.

If it weren't for the fact that she had just received information from the person she sent to follow Rowena about her entering a hotel, she might have believed her words.

Rowena didn't intend to continue talking to her. She couldn't shake off the feeling that Jenny knew everything. Even though she knew it was impossible, it still made her panic. "Go to bed early. You have work tomorrow."

After saying that, she went into her room, not caring what Jenny thought of her.

Jenny stood in the corridor for a while. She looked at Rowena's room, then shifted her gaze to the room where Graham was staying. Since she returned to Walter Castle, she'd never seen them stay in the same room. It seemed their marriage had long been reduced to one in name only.

It didn't really affect her much, but she was concerned on behalf of her father.

She couldn't just let Rowena cheat on him and do nothing, right?

Thinking of this, she asked someone to investigate who Rowena had gone to meet that night. Jenny had to get to the bottom of it.

The next day, when Jenny woke up, Rowena was already in the kitchen. A rare occurrence.

"Jenny, you're awake. Come and have breakfast." Seeing Jenny, Rowena waved at her.

At the dining table, Graham was already having breakfast. Jenny walked over and looked at Rowena with suspicion. "It's the first time I've tasted food prepared by you after being here for so long."

Rowena was too desperate. She'd just done something behind Graham's back, and now she was trying to please him. Anyone would find her behavior abnormal.

The three of them sat together as they ate breakfast, and that was when Jolene returned. From a distance, she looked at the three people at the dining table, and the atmosphere around them seemed unusually harmonious.

Upon seeing that, she couldn't hold back anymore and burst into tears.

It was then the three of them turned to look at her and noticed her arrival." Jo?

Why are you back?” Rowena immediately stood up and walked over. Seeing Jolene crying so sadly, she felt her heart aching. After all, Jolene was her own flesh and blood. So, she couldn't bear to see her precious little girl so upset.

"You don't want me to come back, do you? Did my return disrupt your little family of three?" Jolene had suffered a lot at James' hand. Seeing them behaving like a real family upon returning, Jolene couldn't take it.

Rowena glared at her and scolded, "Nonsense! Have you had breakfast? Let me make some for you."

"I haven't eaten yet," Jolene said.

Rowena pulled her over to sit down and got up to make breakfast for her.

Now, only Jenny, Graham, and Jolene were at the table. The atmosphere became tense with just the three of them.

Jolene glared at Jenny and still harbored lingering resentment against her.

Then, her gaze turned to Graham, and it became somewhat complicated." Dad."

Graham nodded without looking up at her.

"Dad, I've thought about it and realized you were right yesterday. I shouldn't have moved in with James so early. So, I'm planning to move back in. Is that okay?" She was a bit nervous. She really didn't want to stay with James anymore. Who knew what awaited her in the future if she went back to his villa?

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 699-Care for Them on Your Behalf Graham would have said yes to her request without hesitation if she had said that yesterday. He would even feel glad that this daughter of his had become sensible.

Everything was too late now.

Graham threw the newspaper he was reading to Jolene. He said nothing and continued eating breakfast.

Jolene was puzzled but still lowered her head to look at the newspaper. Her eyes widened in disbelief in the next second, and an incredulous expression overtook her features. "This…these reporters are simply spouting nonsense."

The newspaper reported extensively on her moving to James' villa last night.

Some speculated that they were about to marry, while others said she was shameless. There were all sorts of comments, and most of them weren't positive.

"Dad, I was too impulsive yesterday. I shouldn't have moved in with him so soon." Jolene apologized with her head down. She'd rarely admitted her mistakes all these years.

Unfortunately, Graham was unmoved.

Jolene was helpless, so she could only turn to look to her mother, who was sitting beside her, for help. Of course, Rowena knew very well what Graham was thinking at that moment. She knew that even if she spoke up for Jolene, it would probably have no effect.

But at the end of the day, the matter concerned her daughter. So, she could only bite the bullet and speak up, "It's only been one night. It shouldn't have a big impact even if she moves back."

"Rowena, did you not see the comments online? Everyone in Bardoff City knows about it. How can you say it won't have a big impact?" Jenny sneered and spoke up. Since Jolene had moved out, she wouldn't give her a chance to return to the Walters.

"Weren't you so eager to move out? Why did you change your mind overnight?

Could it be that you suddenly don't like James anymore?" Jenny mocked, sarcasm lacing her tone.

Jolene's expression darkened as she bit her lip. "I thought I should stay home to care for my parents instead of leaving in a hurry."

"Oh? Now you remember your parents? That's not what you said before when you wanted to leave." Jenny didn't hold back. Taking care of her parents? Only someone with thick skin like her could say such things unabashedly.

Jolene glared at her, wishing to tear her apart, "Jenny, I know you don't like me, but you can't deprive me of my right to care for my parents."

Jenny chuckled sarcastically. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of them on our behalf."

"Jenny…"

"Enough!" Graham interrupted the two icily, and Jolene dared not speak again.

"Dad." Jolene looked at Graham pitifully, trying to soften his heart with that approach. She didn't know that in Graham's heart, she was no longer his daughter after she did something so outrageous.

Graham gave a dismissive wave, obviously not wanting to hear anything from her anymore.

"Have your breakfast and hurry back. Since you've decided to become a Windsor, you should come here less in the future. Otherwise, outsiders will think that we didn't raise you well."

"Dad…" Jolene was about to cry.

Unfortunately, Graham had already gotten up and left without giving her another glance, no matter how wronged she felt.

After he left, Jolene's expression immediately became ferocious. "Jenny! Why do you have to keep going after me?"

"Why would you think that way? I didn't do anything." On the contrary, Jenny thought Jolene was the one who was always going after her instead.

"Did you say something to James to make him hate me so much?" At this point, Jolene was still trying to put the blame on other people.

She didn't think she was wrong-she believed that although her methods were incorrect, it was all in the name of love. If James was willing to give her a chance, they would surely become a loving couple.

But since James wasn't willing to do that, Jolene concluded that Jenny was playing tricks behind the scenes. Pushing the blame onto others made her feel better about herself.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 700- I Must Endure It Jenny put down her cutlery and looked at Jolene with a sympathetic look." Have you ever considered the possibility that he abhors you?"

"No! That's impossible! It must be you!" Jolene refused to admit it.

Jenny shook her head, thinking that Jolene was hopeless, and got up to leave.

Before she left, she reminded Jolene, "Remember to go back early. If you go back late and upset James, you won't be able to return to Walter Castle, and you won't be able to stay with the Windsors as well."

With that, Jenny left, ignoring Jolene's angry shouts behind her.

Jolene was furious and helpless. She cursed Jenny vehemently in the dining room, but what good would that do? Anyone who saw her behaving like that wouldn't think much of her. Even Rowena, who was sitting beside her, looked indifferent.

Rowena dismissed the servants and let Jolene curse until she was out of breath before asking, "Do you feel better now?"

Jolene finally stopped. She clenched her jaw and remained silent.

"Perhaps I've protected you too well all these years, which has made you incapable of controlling yourself now. You can't even solve problems independently."

Rowena regretted how she raised Jolene. Since Jolene was her only daughter, she pampered her since childhood, thinking it would be good for her daughter.

But now she realized that maybe letting Jolene suffer a little when she was young would have been better for her growth.

There was no turning back time. What she could do now was let Jolene grow up and make her understand that no one could handle everything for her forever.

Jolene was still upset, but fortunately, she didn't cry anymore. "Mom, I understand what you mean, but…James is deliberately tormenting me."

"Didn't I warn you about this before you went over? And how did you respond at that time?" Rowena's expression became cold. She had reminded Jolene last night, but she didn't listen and even mocked her.

Jolene pursed her lips and remained silent.

At the end of the day, Jolene was still her daughter, so Rowena couldn't bear to see her suffer too much. She reached out and patted her shoulder." Learn to grow up. It's just a little suffering. It's okay."

"Mom…" Jolene was unwilling. She had the feeling that there were even worse things waiting for her.

"If you don't want to do that, I'll go to the Windsors and ask them to cancel the engagement." Rowena looked at her indifferently.

Upon hearing this, Jolene hesitated.

Although James had been tormenting her, she didn't want to cancel the engagement. Now that her relationship with James was made known to everyone, she most probably wouldn't be able to marry someone better if their engagement was canceled. Even Brandon wouldn't want to marry her.

If she couldn't get married to anyone…

The thought of this made her shake her head immediately. "No, I don't want to cancel the engagement."

No matter what, even if James treated her badly after she married him, she could still be the wife of the head of the Windsor family and have a higher status than Jenny.

"Since you're unwilling, then just bear with it." Rowena sighed with relief. She was really afraid that Jolene would insist on canceling the engagement. If that happened, even she would be disappointed in her daughter.

Jolene gritted her teeth and nodded. "Mom, please help me convince James to marry me. I want to get married as soon as possible."

She thought maybe James wouldn't treat her that way after they married. If he needed time to unwind now, she would let him do so. After he was done venting his dissatisfaction, they would still be husband and wife.

"Okay, I'll take care of this matter for you." Rowena agreed, thinking it would be best for them to get married as soon as possible, given the current situation.

On the one hand, things might change if they were delayed; on the other hand, she believed James would change his mind after officially marrying Jolene and not torture her as he did now.

After mother and daughter agreed on what to do, Jolene left Walter Castle.

She told herself that no matter the challenges, she had to endure them.
