Ch. 1111..1120
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1111-After pondering it for a while, Jenny realized that a chaotic place was more suited for someone of Evan's status. What she needed to think about now was how to pass on the information that she was here. Unbeknownst to Jenny, her worries were actually unnecessary because when Evan's private jet landed at Duxdence Airport, Alec had already received the news.
At that moment, opposite the airport, Alec was looking through a telescope at the airport entrance. He saw Evan and his group walk out from the inside.
Perhaps because this was his own turf, Evan wasn't cautious and didn't bother to take any precautionary measures to conceal themselves. Because of that, Alec could clearly see their movements.
When he saw Jenny, he noticed that she'd lost weight. He deduced that she must not be living well under Evan's care, which made his heart ache. Evan and his group came out of the airport and got into the car parked at the entrance.
Alec and his men followed; he also sent people to install a positioning system on Evan's private jet to help him locate their position accurately.
"Where do you want to go?" Evan asked Jenny, who was sitting beside him, in a very gentle tone.
Jenny glanced at the scenery outside the window. To be honest, she wasn’t interested in going anywhere, but she couldn't say that. She needed to prolong her stay in the city as much as possible so that she could find an opportunity to leave messages for Gilbert, Zack, or Alec. She knew they would definitely come looking for her.
"Let's go have a look in the mall. I don't have many clothes, after all." The few sets of clothes she had were given to her by some women on the island. She'd gone there suddenly and didn't have any clothes with her.
Hearing that, Evan felt a bit embarrassed. "Sorry. Let's go to the mail.’ With that, the car headed toward a nearby mall. Soon, they arrived at the location, and Evan took Jenny shopping. Whenever he saw something nice, he would buy it for Jenny without any regard for the cost. Jenny felt helpless about the situation. After a while, she found something she liked. When Evan was about to pay, she quickly said, "Let me try it on first. What if it doesn't look good?"
"You look good in anything," Evan replied.
Jenny couldn't help but roll her eyes at him. This wasn't shopping-he was basically clearing any existing stock the shops had to offer. At this rate, they would be done soon, and she wouldn't be able to delay the trip any longer so that she could have an opportunity to send out a message.
Evan smiled and didn't refuse. "Alright, go try it on.” With his permission, Jenny took the clothes and headed toward the fitting room.
After she went in, Evan's smile disappeared. ’Did you notice anything strange around here?"
"I haven't noticed anything that seemed out of place," Howard replied.
"Keep an eye out. Alec and the rest won't just give up like this,’ Evan instructed.
He knew that Jenny had come to the city hoping to pass on a message to Alec and the others, but he wasn't worried. This was his turf, so he wasn't afraid of Alec.
Inside the fitting room, Jenny called out, "Can someone help me with the zipper?’ A salesgirl went in to help her, and although Evan wasn't happy about it, he didn't say anything. He had his people all around, so he wasn't worried about Jenny escaping.
Inside the fitting room, Jenny chatted with the salesgirl. Just as she was about to ask her for her phone so that she could use it to send out a message, Evan's voice came from outside the door. "Are you done yet, Jenny?"
Jenny broke out in a cold sweat and quickly replied, "Almost."
She was nervous because she hadn't gotten the chance to message Alec yet. If she missed this opportunity, who knew when she would get another chance again?
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1112-I'm Here Just as she was feeling anxious, the salesgirl suddenly grabbed Jenny's hand and wrote a few words in her palm under her shocked gaze. When Jenny came out of the fitting room, she had returned to normal.
However, those few words still flashed in her mind: "I'm here."
"Alec is here!’ Jenny cheered internally.
For a moment, she was so surprised she wasn't sure how to express her excited emotions. Unfortunately, she couldn't exactly express herself at the moment.
Not only that, she couldn't show even a hint of abnormality.
"It's stunning." Evan's words rang in her ear, snapping her out of her daze.
She then smiled at him and said, ’Thank you.’ In the end, Evan bought that dress, along with the others he'd chosen for Jenny, and sent them all to the island. The amount of clothing was enough for her to wear for many years. It seemed Evan had never thought carefully about how long Jenny would stay on the island. To be more exact, he dared not think about it.
As they were done with their shopping, they went to a restaurant to eat. The air between them was strange. It wasn't tense, as they didn't hurl hurtful words or remarks at each other. But it wasn't accurate to say that things were pleasant between them, either. Anyone could tell that they were not on the same page.
"How do you feel about this place, Jenny?’ Evan asked, a little nervous, as he wanted Jenny to like it there.
Jenny ate her steak and smiled faintly. "It's pretty good but very different from our home country in terms of customs and practices."
"Really? Then…" Evan put down his knife and fork and became serious. "If I ask you to stay here from now on, will you?"
Jenny didn't want to broach this topic with him at first. After all, they were destined to not be able to come to an agreement. But since Evan brought it up, she had no choice but to make things clear to him.
"Sorry, I won't. Maybe it doesn't matter where you live, but it's different for me. I prefer to live in Clusia because that's my country."
Evan smiled bitterly, not surprised by her answer. "I knew you wouldn't agree."
"Since you knew I wouldn't, when do you intend to send me back?” Jenny asked.
Their eyes met, and Evan was at a loss for words. ’In a while more."
Jenny chuckled. Wasn't that what he said before? She knew that Evan had no intention of sending her back to Clusia but was just dragging her along, hoping one day she’d choose to stay. Fortunately, she was prepared for this a long time ago, so she wasn't disappointed. They didn't continue with the topic and silently ate their steaks as if nothing had happened.
After dinner, the group got back on the private jet and returned to the island.
At the airport, Alec watched the jet plane disappear into the distance and took out his tablet, which showed a small red dot moving away. He instructed someone to keep an eye on it and pinpoint the island's exact location. If he couldn't find a chance to take Jenny away from the outside, he would have to hijack the jet plane. Of course, his ideal plan was to take her away while she was in the city, as the chances of success would be higher.
Back on the island, Olivia found out that Evan had taken Jenny out shopping without inviting her, and she was going crazy in the castle.
"Evan!" Olivia saw the two of them return and rushed over angrily. "Why didn't you invite me to go shopping?"
"Don’t you have something to do?" Evan replied coldly, keeping a distance from her and even shielding Jenny behind him.
"If there's something to do, I can leave it to someone else. It's not like I have to deal with it personally," Olivia retorted.
If she'd known that they were going shopping, she would have followed them no matter what.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1113-'m Not a Seductress Like Her "Next time," Evan replied hastily. He intentionally didn't bring Olivia along. Evan knew exactly what Olivia was thinking, but unfortunately, he had no other intentions toward her. If it hadn't been for the fact that Olivia had been working for him for many years, perhaps Evan would have already lost his patience with her.
Olivia pouted and then saw the bodyguards behind her carrying a lot of things.
Her eyes lit up. "Did you buy these for me? Evan, you're so nice!’ However, before she could approach the items, Evan ordered, "Put them in Jenny's room."
Immediately, the bodyguards went upstairs with more than ten bags each, but not one was for Olivia. Following that, Olivia's expression darkened considerably.
Howard quickly handed her the bag he was holding. "Boss didn't forget about you. This is what he bought for you."
In fact, it was Howard who reminded Evan about Olivia before leaving. Only then did Evan reluctantly agree to let him buy something for Olivia.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have even remembered that Olivia existed.
Olivia looked puzzled, but seeing that Evan didn't deny it, she smiled and took the gift. Her mood soured when she saw that it was a set of skincare products.
"Why do you always buy me this?"
Howard didn't say anything, thinking to himself that they didn't even know her size, so how could they buy her clothes? If he didn't know what brand of skincare products she used, they probably wouldn’t know what to buy for her at all.
Evan ignored her and looked at Jenny, who was behind him. "You must be tired from a day of shopping. Head back to your room and rest."
"Okay. You should rest early too." Jenny nodded. She had long since lost interest in watching Olivia throw her tantrum. Evan and Jenny went upstairs together and went back to their respective rooms.
After the two disappeared, the faint smile on Olivia's face disappeared completely. She threw the things into Howard's hands and asked, "You bought these for me again, didn't you?"
"Absolutely not. The boss paid for it." Although he was the one who swiped Evan's card, it was indeed Evan who paid for it. In this regard, he didn't deceive Olivia.
Seeing that Olivia wasn't convinced, Howard repeatedly nodded to assure her.
Finally, she took the bag and complained softly, "Why does Jenny have so much, and I only have this little? Evan is really unfair."
"Olivia, Jenny is different from you. She's someone special to Boss. You should know this," Howard reminded her.
His kind reminder made Olivia even more unhappy. "Hmph! She's indeed different from me. I'm not a seductress like her."
Olivia thought that if she had even a tenth of Jenny's ability to seduce people, Evan wouldn’t ignore her completely.
"Boss isn't interested in you. It has nothing to do with Jenny."
They all knew of Olivia's feelings toward Evan, but they also knew that Evan wasn't the least bit interested in her. Regardless of Jenny's existence, Evan wouldn't consider her under any circumstances. They could see it clearly, but unfortunately, Olivia couldn't.
"How can you say it isn't because of her? If it weren't for her, Evan would definitely like me!"
Howard was rendered speechless. He didn't know where Olivia got her confidence.
"Wait and see. I won't give up easily." She looked at Jenny's room upstairs and didn't believe that she, who had been by Evan's side for so many years, would lose to a worthless woman who hadn't lifted a finger since coming to the island.
In Olivia's eyes, Jenny was powerless and weak-someone she could easily crush.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1114-she had Evan's protection. Even so, she didn't plan to stay here for long and wanted to leave. She just didn't know how to leave. Perhaps she could only wait for Alec to come and rescue her.
Next door, in Evan's study, Howard had just calmed Olivia down and was called into the study by Evan.
"Boss." Howard pushed the door open and saw Evan sitting at his desk, seemingly worried about something.
Evan heard the sound and looked up at him. "Did you notice anything unusual on your way back today?"
"No," Howard replied.
Despite his assurance, Evan felt that something wasn't quite right. It had been half a month since they'd come back to Monaerim. Even if Alec and the others didn't have much influence abroad, they shouldn't have failed to locate him by now.
"Send someone to check if Alec is still in the country," Evan ordered. He needed to know where Alec was.
Howard nodded and left to do as he was told.
After he left, Evan sat in his study, sighing helplessly. "Jenny, what can I do to make you want to stay here?” Two days later, Jenny was trapped on the island again and couldn't get out, so she naturally couldn't contact Alec. She was very anxious. Plus, Evan had become busy these days, but she didn't know what he was up to. She was worried that Alec's whereabouts would be discovered since they were in a foreign country and on Evan's turf.
Just when she was worrying about whether she should find a chance to go to Duxdence, Olivia came looking for her.
"Tell me, how much money do you need to leave Evan?' Olivia couldn't stand it anymore. Although Evan had warned her several times not to bother Jenny, she couldn't bear seeing the two of them being together day in and day out. She knew that if she didn't take action quickly, she wouldn't have any chance with Evan.
When Jenny heard that, she didn't come to her senses for a long time. How much money? It seemed that Olivia was clueless about her true identity. Well, it was kind of expected. Evan wanted her to stay there and naturally wanted to separate Jenny from her past.
Olivia didn’t know what was going on in Jenny's mind. Seeing that she wasn't speaking, she simply assumed that Jenny was being arrogant. "Don't think that Evan really likes you that much! He was just momentarily charmed by you.
When he comes to his senses, you won't be able to get anything from him."
"Do you want me to stay away from Evan?" Jenny asked.
"Of course! You're not worthy of him at all." Olivia nodded without hesitation.
That was obvious. Why would she bother saying all this to her if she didn't want Jenny to leave?
Jenny lowered her head and was in deep contemplation for a moment. When she looked up again, she felt as if Olivia was her savior.
Nonetheless, she tried her best not to show it too obviously. "Is that so? But Evan likes me so much."
"Evan doesn't like you! You bewitched him somehow!" Olivia couldn't accept this fact.
"Really? Does he like you then?" Jenny pretended to be confused and deliberately hit on her sore spot.
Olivia thought about it for a moment, and then she nodded. "You're right. Evan likes me. It's just that we've been arguing lately, so he found you to deliberately make me jealous."
"Really? That's too much!" Jenny immediately pretended to be very aggrieved.
She felt that her acting must be very bad, but there was nothing else she could do. Olivia, who was trying every means to make Jenny leave, didn't pay attention to how implausible her actions were at all.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1115-Ten Million?
Olivia cleared her throat and said seriously, "So, I'm giving you money now and asking you to leave for your own good. Although Evan's behavior isn't right, I'm compensating you with some money so you’re not losing out."
Jenny pretended to be wronged and asked softly, "How much money can you give me? I don't want too little. Although Evan doesn't like me, he never hesitated to spend money on me."
That made Olivia so angry that she clenched her teeth. "One million!" Olivia spat.
Jenny then looked at her haughtily and said, "Evan spent more than that when he took me shopping the other day."
"How much do you want then?" Olivia asked. She wasn't short of money. In fact, she'd made a lot of money while working for Evan all these years.
and carefree, as if ten million was nothing to her.
Olivia was provoked and pointed at her while asking, "Ten million? Who do you think you are?"
"If you can’t afford it, then forget it. Evan is treating me well now, so I don't really want to leave," Jenny said, getting up to leave.
Seeing her about to leave, Olivia became flustered. "Wait!"
"Anything else you want to say?" Jenny stopped and turned to look at her. In fact, she didn't really want to leave either.
Olivia gritted her teeth and finally nodded in agreement. "Okay. But once you take the money, you have to disappear from Evan's sight immediately."
"That's not a problem. You have to figure out a way to get me off this island, or I won't be able to leave." Jenny thought it would be better to make Olivia come up with a solution for her to escape since she was more familiar with the place.
Olivia frowned at Jenny's request but thought it made sense. If she didn't help, Jenny would never be able to leave this place. Besides, she couldn't feel at ease without personally seeing her off.
"Okay. You stay put. After I make arrangements, I'll have someone notify you,"
Olivia instructed as she turned to leave. She had to think of a way to send Jenny away without Evan knowing.
Suddenly, she had a brilliant idea-if she could just send Jenny away and kill her in a place where nobody was around, then she could claim that Jenny had escaped on her own. That way, she wouldn't have to spend a single penny and could still get rid of her. The more Olivia thought about it, the more feasible the plan seemed to her.
Jenny watched her leave and wondered what she was thinking. She had her own plan too. Since Olivia was going to get her off the island, she planned to make arrangements with Alec in Duxdence for a secret departure. She figured the salesgirl at the clothing store in Duxdence could probably contact Alec.
That night, instead of eating as usual, Jenny sat at the dining table to wait for Evan to return. Half an hour later, the sound of a private jet could be heard outside the castle, which meant that Evan had returned. These past few days, he'd been flying off in the private jet every morning and returning at night.
If they weren't on an island, those past few days would have been the best opportunity to leave since Evan wasn't around to check on her every day. But now that she'd struck a deal with Olivia, Jenny believed she would find a way to help her leave the island.
"Didn't I tell you not to wait for me? If you're hungry, go ahead and eat," Evan said as he walked into the dining room and saw Jenny waiting for him. He was touched by her gesture.
Jenny smiled and replied, 'It's okay. I'm not very hungry. It's more fun to eat together when you come back."
Evan felt guilty when she said that. "You don't have any friends here, so you must be lonely."
Jenny smiled and didn't say anything.
"Okay, hear me out. Why don't you come with me to Duxdence tomorrow morning? I'll have someone take you around for a tour," Evan suggested. He didn't think it was a good idea for Jenny to stay cooped up in the castle all the time since it would eventually lead to resentment on her part.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1116-Not Interested Upon hearing that, Jenny was truly shocked. She had deliberately waited there to find an opportunity for Evan to take her to Duxdence, but before she could even mention anything about it, he'd taken the initiative to offer her an outing.
Seeing how she kept mum, Evan thought she was still upset and continued, "Jenny, I know you want to go back to Clusia, but…I really hope you can stay here. So, can you at least try? If after some time, you really can't get used to living here, then we can discuss going back."
Jenny came to her senses after a while and nodded in agreement. "Alright then."
Upon hearing that, Evan breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, Jenny didn't insist on going back. Otherwise, he really wouldn't know what to do. He didn't want to make their relationship too tense, and he knew that Jenny was the type to be persuaded rather than coerced.
"Let's eat," Jenny said. Perhaps because her mood had improved, she spoke to Evan with a bit more patience.
Evan didn't know Jenny's plan; he had even hoped that Jenny would get used to it there and eventually agree to stay. Unfortunately, he was destined to never see that day.
"You seem pretty busy lately. What are you working on?" Jenny asked casually.
Evan thought about it for a moment and didn't withhold anything from her." After I left, there have been a few traitors among us that caused some trouble. I've been dealing with them."
Jenny nodded, not really interested in the specifics.
"Actually, I haven't taken any mercenary business in a long time. Now that I have my own company with my subordinates, it's not like before." Evan was worried that Jenny might be biased against him, as he knew she disapproved of doing illegal things.
Upon hearing that, Jenny was briefly stunned and wondered why he had purposely told her all that. She'd never shown an interest in any of his affairs at all.
However, upon looking up and meeting Evan's gaze, Jenny instantly understood the meaning behind his words. "Oh, is that so? That's great."
"Yeah. I'll slowly make sure everything is on the right track." By then, there would be nothing to hide.
Jenny smiled, but in reality, she was itching to ask Evan what he meant by" the right track." Was he no longer taking up the mercenary business but trafficking drugs instead? She hadn't investigated it thoroughly, but she could roughly guess what he was up to from the hushed conversations of the people on the island.
She didn't say anything because she knew that Evan wasn't benevolent or kind.
Although he hadn't done anything to her yet, it was only because she had nothing to threaten him with. If she knew too much, it would be even more impossible for him to let her leave.
After dinner, Evan took Jenny for a walk by the seaside. Sometimes, Jenny felt that if she hadn't been forced to come, she would have really liked it there. After experiencing the busy life in Bardoff City, she could truly appreciate how rare these leisurely days were.
Unfortunately, the timing to enjoy something like this wasn't right for her.
Standing by the sea, Jenny couldn't help but say, "The sunset is beautiful."
"Do you like it? If you do, you can see it every day from now on," Evan replied.
Jenny laughed dryly. Even if she could see the beautiful scenery every day, she would still tire of it. She looked into the distance and changed the subject.
"Why don't you like Olivia? She's pretty and loyal to you." Jenny thought that if Evan liked Olivia, they could be happy together.
"I'm not interested in her," Evan responded. His answer was straightforward, making Jenny feel helpless.
"Then what do you like about me?" she asked
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1117-rson.
Although Jenny had confessed to him in the past, Evan's impression of her gradually faded, and he almost forgot about her until he met Gilbert. For some reason, when Gilbert suggested he go back to pursue Jenny, he agreed without much hesitation. When he saw Jenny, he knew that she was the person he'd been looking for all along. Humans' feelings worked in strange ways like that sometimes-he couldn't even explain it himself.
Jenny listened as her lips twitched. It wasn't anything as magical as Evan made it out to be. In Jenny's opinion, it was either falling in love over time or just superficial attraction. As for which category Evan belonged to, she wasn't sure yet.
"It's getting late. Let's go back and rest. Remember to get up early tomorrow. I'll take you to Duxdence." Evan snapped out of his daze, not really minding Jenny’s lack of response to his philosophy about love.
The two turned around and walked back.
Inside the castle, Olivia saw everything. She was very close to going crazy with jealousy. Since Jenny arrived, she’d never been alone with Evan at all. Even when they were together for missions outside, he would take out his phone from time to time to chat with Jenny. Olivia felt like Jenny was drawing Evan away from her even when she wasn't physically around.
She took a deep breath and tried to calm down. In two days, she would be able to get everything arranged. By then, she would send Jenny off the island and find a chance to deal with her in Duxdence. After that, she could finally cease worrying. "I'll let you prance around for a few more days, Jenny. Very soon, you'll be out of my way," Olivia thought sinisterly.
Inside a small villa by the seaside in Duxdence, Alec looked at the gathered intelligence with his brow furrowed. The situation was very unfavorable. This was Evan's territory, and even if he could get onto the island, he wouldn't be able to bring Jenny out of the city.
The best way was to do everything quietly and take Jenny away before Evan could react, as it would give them more time to escape. But how could he get Jenny off the island? Alec looked toward the ship that transported goods to the island. It seemed like the only option.
He had to study it further to ensure that everything would go smoothly. He was afraid that if Evan discovered his plan, he would abandon all reason and choose to destroy Jenny so that no one else could have her. Alec couldn't let that happen at all costs.
Both Alec and Jenny didn't sleep well that night. Alec spent the entire night thinking about feasible solutions, while Jenny was too skittish. As long as she could successfully pass her message to Alec that day, they would be halfway to leaving the place.
But what about the salesgirl? Was she really working for Alec? Although she'd passed a message to Jenny once, Jenny still felt uneasy and doubtful. But now, besides her, Jenny had no other way to contact Alec, so she had to take the chance.
She woke up early, wrote everything carefully on a note, and tucked it into her clothes. When she got to Duxdence, she only needed to hand the note to the salesgirl without saying a word. Jenny believed the plan would go without a hitch because Evan wasn't suspicious of her yet.
Thinking of that, she carefully kept the note and hid it in her clothes
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1118-You Seem Excited She'd just finished tucking the note away when she heard the sound of Evan coming down the stairs outside the door. Jenny composed herself, opened the door, and walked toward him.
"Up so early?" Evan was a little surprised to see her come out of her room.
"Didn't you tell me to wake up early?" Jenny asked in reply, suppressing her feelings of anticipation.
Evan smiled and led her to the dining table. "There's no need to wake up so early. You can sleep a little longer if you want."
"No, I'm not very sleepy." Jenny refused. She was afraid that Evan would suddenly change his mind and decide not to take her out.
"You seem excited to go." Evan handed her a sandwich and remarked casually.
Jenny nodded and didn't deny it. "I've been staying on this island day after day. I feel like I'm becoming isolated from the world. Of course, I'm excited to go out."
Evan opened his mouth, wanting to apologize, but immediately realized that his apology was meaningless and could only serve to comfort himself.
They quickly finished breakfast, and Evan took Jenny onto the private jet. It was her second time going out, so Jenny was much more at ease than the first.
After arriving at Duxdence, Evan had to attend to some business, but he didn't trust Jenny enough to let her wander alone, so he asked Howard to follow her.
Jenny was well aware that he wasn't concerned about her safety, but rather, he was afraid she would run away.
She didn’t object because she knew it would be useless and would only make Evan unhappy. If he sent her back before they even got to leave the airport, she would lose all chances of contacting Alec.
After Evan left, Howard stood next to Jenny in a somewhat displeased mood.
"Where do you want to go?"
"To the mall. The one we went to last time was pretty good. Let's go see if there are any new arrivals." Jenny smiled and walked out of the airport.
Just like last time, as soon as Evan's private jet landed at Duxdence airport, Alec got wind of it immediately. Therefore, when he saw Jenny walk into the same mall and then into the same store as before, he knew that she must have something to say to him.
After Jenny left, he quickly found the salesgirl and secured the note she'd written. Having read the contents of the note, he paid the salesgirl a large sum of money before leaving contentedly.
He wasn't worried about Evan investigating the girl. After all, she was a local and had lived there for decades without any issues. The only thing she lacked was money, and Alec just happened to not lack money.
Jenny wandered around the mall. She bought some clothes as evidence of her shopping, but she didn't buy many. Finally, she had lunch at the mall and left reluctantly.
Nevertheless, she wasn't sent back to the island right away but was taken by Howard to Evan's workplace. As Evan had said, he had now established a company, and it looked quite impressive. If it weren't for Jenny knowing what kind of business he was doing in private, she would probably believe he'd truly turned over a new leaf.
"You're done shopping?" Evan looked at Jenny, who was sitting on the sofa, and felt a little helpless. He could tell that her enthusiasm was nowhere near as high as when she had come out in the morning.
Jenny nodded and leaned back on the sofa. ’Yeah, there wasn't much to see.
The clothes were the same, and there weren't many nice ones."
"Well, when we have time, I'll take you to Luedross. It's livelier over there." Evan smiled as he looked at her. After all, Jenny had only recently come there, so it was normal for her if she felt like a fish out of water.
Jenny responded with a cursory "okay" but didn't really take it to heart
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1119-You're Thinking Too Much She stayed in Evan's office the whole afternoon until they took the private jet back to the island in the evening.
"Do you travel back and forth like this every day in the past?" Jenny couldn't help but ask. Although the flight only took an hour, she still found it troublesome.
"No, I was mostly in the city of Duxdence. I only come back here occasionally,"
Evan answered. But now it was different. He couldn't leave Jenny to stay in Duxdence alone, but he also didn't want to be away from her for several days, so he had to travel every day.
When Jenny heard him say that, she knew what he meant. "Actually, you don't have to travel to and fro like this every day. I won't run away."
"Are you showing concern for me?" Evan smiled, secretly happy that Jenny cared about him.
Jenny was speechless. Although she felt annoyed, she didn't say anything." I just don't think it’s necessary," she finally said.
"It's necessary for me.’ Seeing Jenny every day was something he’d been dreaming of.
Jenny had nothing to say to that and remained silent. The jet plane landed quickly, and the two of them walked straight to the castle and returned to their respective rooms.
After returning to his room, Evan asked Howard, "Where did she go today?"
Howard reported where she'd been and asked in confusion, "Boss, what are you worried about?' "It's nothing. I'm just a little worried." Although he couldn't sense anything amiss right now, he just had a feeling that Jenny wasn't the kind of person who gave up easily.
If she were to get angry with him, scold him, or even leave him, Evan could accept it, and he was even prepared for it. But Jenny was too calm throughout this whole time, and that made him feel a little uneasy.
"You're thinking too much. Maybe Miss Walter has figured things out and thinks that you're not too bad,” Howard comforted him.
Howard thought the world of Evan. In his opinion, women like Jenny, who didn't know what was good for them, deserved death for their ignorance.
"Go get some rest." Evan nodded and waved him off. He also hoped that he was thinking too much and that Jenny had truly decided to stay.
Another three days passed by calmly, but Jenny felt increasingly anxious. Why hadn't Olivia given her any updates yet? Could she really pull it off?
If Olivia couldn't get her off the island, Jenny had to quickly think of another plan. She couldn't just keep waiting like this. Just when she was stressing about it, Olivia pushed open her door.
"Evan won't be back until very late tomorrow, and he won't be leaving the island for a long time after that. So, tomorrow is your only chance."
Upon learning about that, Jenny felt helpless as she thought, "If I fail tomorrow, then I won't get another chance to escape for a long time."
However, she didn't say it out loud. She nodded and asked, "How are you going to get me off the island?"
"Tomorrow, I'll put you in a box and send you away on a supply ship. After it docks, you'll have to figure it out on your own.’ Olivia had already done enough by helping Jenny get to Duxdence. She didn't arrange anything else for Jenny after that.
Jenny wasn't worried, as she'd already contacted Alec in advance. As long as she could reach Duxdence, Alec would be able to find her.
"Okay." Jenny nodded and agreed. No matter what, tomorrow was her only chance. Even though she knew that Olivia wasn't a good person, Jenny had to take the gamble.
Seeing that Jenny had agreed, Olivia breathed a sigh of relief. ’Rest well and prepare yourself. I don't want you to fail tomorrow.' In any case, she had to get Jenny off the island. Only if she died outside could Olivia escape any suspicion. If she died on the island, Evan would definitely think it was related to her
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1120-afraid that something unexpected might happen. As Olivia had said, that was her last chance in the near future. If Jenny missed the opportunity, she didn't know how long she would have to stay in that place.
The next morning, when Evan's footsteps faded into the distance, Jenny immediately sat up from bed. He was going out, just as Olivia had told her.
As the private jet took off, Jenny's nervous mood finally relaxed a little. She was at least one step closer to success. Soon, there was a knock on the door. Upon opening it, there stood Olivia.
"Don't waste time. Let's go!" Olivia whispered. She didn't have time to waste with her. Although she was happy to see Jenny leave, betraying Evan also agonized her.
Jenny followed Olivia. She then hid in what Olivia called a large box. At least at that moment, she was handing her life to Olivia. It wasn't that she trusted her to that extent, but their current goals happened to be the same at the time.
In no time at all, Jenny could feel the box being lifted off the ground. She heard someone outside the box ask, "Olivia, what's this?"
"How dare you ask me what's in there? My personal items are in there, alright?
Do I have to give you a list of my stuff?" Olivia chastised impatiently and unkindly.
The person dared not speak again. After all, everyone on the island knew that Olivia and Howard were the two people Evan trusted the most. They wouldn't do anything that would bring harm to Evan.
Jenny boarded the ship successfully in the box and breathed a sigh of relief.
As the ship started moving, Jenny knew she was gradually drifting away from the island. She was excited but also nervous. She didn't even know if Alec had received the message or whether he was even there. Everything was just based on her guesswork.
But now, even if it was just a shot in the dark, she had no way of turning back.
The ship sailed for about three or four hours and finally stopped. Jenny, who had been half asleep in the box, suddenly felt unbelievably nervous.
Soon, someone lifted the box she was in off the ship and said, 'This is Olivia's."
Another group of people took over and carried her away. They didn't walk far before they put the box down in a corner and opened it. The sudden brightness made Jenny uncomfortable after being in the dark for so long. She didn't act rashly because those people were all armed.
Sure enough, once her eyes adjusted to the light after she opened them, she saw the gun in the person's hand pointed at her forehead. "Where's the check?"
It seemed Olivia had never intended to let her take the money. When she gave her the check, she planned to take it back.
"So, Olivia is someone who doesn't keep her word, huh?' Jenny tried hard to stay calm and buy herself as much time as possible.
The person sneered at her condescendingly, "Who do you think you are to deserve Olivia's promise?"
Jenny pursed her lips. "I can give you the check, but you have to prepare a car for me."
"I'm afraid you haven't figured out the situation yet, Miss. Who said we only want money?" The person laughed, and his two followers laughed too.
Jenny wasn't surprised by that. She anticipated that Olivia had no intention of letting her leave alive. Her men didn't take action on the island because Evan would easily suspect her. They waited until she left the island, and they could make their move in Duxdence. Even if her body was found afterward, they could say that she escaped and was killed by someone else.
What a cunning plan!
Unfortunately, Jenny wasn't a fool either.
"It seems that I won't survive." Jenny sighed helplessly with a hint of grievance.
The men didn't take her seriously, and it never crossed their minds that Jenny would resist. To be more precise, Jenny was a weak and powerless woman in their eyes.
