To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1131-n’t you be cheeky,” Jenny huffed. They weren't even married.

Zack covered his smile. "It's just a different way of saying it."

"Oh, I can't be bothered with you. Go find Janet or something." Jenny stood up to leave. However, she didn't leave the hospital. She went to Gavin Porter’s, the director, office instead to tell him that she was back and ready to work.

"It's alright. You haven't used up all your annual leaves yet. You can have a few more days off.’ Gavin did not agree to her request to start working.

Jenny frowned. He continued, "The schedule for the next few days has been made. Just wait a few more days. The other departments have people who want to go on holiday, too.’ "Alright." Jenny didn't say anything else. It seemed like she had to settle the things between Gilbert and Marigold in these few days.

However, she had no idea how to go about it.

She left the hospital and realized she did not know where to go. She lived at Evan's villa before, but Evan was gone now. She couldn't keep staying there.

Jenny thought for a while and decided to move back into her little apartment.

Right as she was about to hail a taxi, her phone rang. It was Alec. "Where are you?"

"I'm at the hospital entrance. Have you settled things over there?" She knew that he had gone to the police station to see Paul. He should have gotten him out by now.

Alec murmured in response and said, "I'll come get you."

Jenny didn't refuse and waited for him to arrive.

Marigold ran into Jenny when she came to the hospital and was shocked."

Aren't you and Alec on holiday? When did you come back?"

"We just got back," Jenny answered. She was bewildered by Marigold's sudden appearance. "Are you here to have an ultrasound?"

Marigold shook her head. "I'm here to see Gilbert."

"To see Gilbert?" Jenny was surprised. Gilbert probably wouldn't want to see her right now.

"I want him to forgive my brother. He was only fighting him because of me. I don't want him to go to prison." Marigold had no other options. She had no voice in the Wagners, and the others were unwilling to help her. They wanted Paul to go to prison so that they could divide the family's assets among them.

Jenny raised her eyebrows, understanding Marigold's words. "I'd advise you not to go. Gilbert probably doesn't want to see you."

"I know." Marigold smiled bitterly. "My brother is in the wrong this time. I just want to apologize on his behalf."

"There's no need. Paul is already released from the police station. You can call him." Jenny looked at Marigold's bump. If she went into the hospital and fought with Gilbert, there was no telling what would happen.

Marigold was overjoyed. "Really?"

Jenny nodded. With no hesitation at all, Marigold called Paul. Indeed, he was already bailed out with Alec's help.

She hung up and looked at Jenny gratefully. "Thank you for letting it go and helping my brother."

"It wasn't me. It was Alec." Jenny shook her hands hurriedly. If she went to help Paul, Gilbert would curse her to the Heavens. The most she could do was hold herself back when Alec went to save Paul.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1132-You've Gone Mad Marigold was still grateful. 'Alec is your boyfriend now. He might have listened to you if you told him not to save my brother."

Paul would not have come out of the police station so easily if it weren’t for Alec's help.

"That's between him and Alec. It has nothing to do with me." Jenny didn’t think that Marigold needed to thank her. She had done nothing, after all.

As they spoke, Alec's car stopped by the entrance.

"Let's go.” Alec rolled down his window and got Jenny in the car. He saw Marigold standing next to her and said, "You can sit in the back. Paul is in the car, too."

They'd just come out of the police station. Alec had come for Jenny before dropping him home.

Marigold was surprised. The windows of the backseat rolled down as well. Paul looked displeased. "Why are you here?"

"Are you okay, Paul?" Marigold hurried over and got into the car.

Jenny sat in the passenger seat, and the car moved quickly.

Paul looked disheveled. "Why wouldn't I be okay? What could Gilbert do to me?"

"You shouldn't have hit him, Paul,’ Marigold said in a soft voice.

Paul was angry when he said that. He glared at her and said, "I was avenging you. Do you think I'd pick on him for no reason at all?"

"I know, but I've already told you that I'm the one who wanted to keep the child.

It has nothing to do with anyone else,' Marigold explained, afraid he would turn angry.

She wasn't blaming Paul for throwing hands. He was just too impulsive. What if Gilbert refused to let it go and sent him to prison?

At the mention of her child, Paul felt irritated. "I'm telling you, abort that kid at the hospital tomorrow. You can't have it!"

He was holding on to the hope that Gilbert would marry Marigold and put everything to an end. But now, based on how Gilbert reacted, he knew it was impossible.

Paul would rather be cruel and get Marigold to abort the child. It would benefit everyone.

"I wont," Marigold refused. "I can raise it alone. I don't need anyone else."

"Marigold Wagner!" Paul roared. He was incensed now.

Marigold was afraid of him, but she was determined. "If you're afraid I'll tarnish the Wagners' name, you can disown me. That way, I won't damage the family's reputation no matter what I do."

"You're fucking crazy!" Paul glared at her. He'd have slapped her to her senses if she weren't pregnant.

Jenny saw that they were about to fight. Weakly, she said, ’Stop fighting. Why dont I invite Gilbert out and discuss this with him?’ "What is there to discuss? Gilbert is a bastard!" Paul said at once. He didn't think he had beaten Gilbert up enough.

Marigold, however, agreed. "I don't think there's much to discuss. It's my child.

Why should I have to discuss it with someone else?"

Jenny was speechless. She looked at Alec, who caught her imploring gaze and said, "Putting the kid aside, you still have to talk about the fighting, don't you? I don't want to keep picking you up from the police station. You'll be staying there the next time around."

Paul scowled, upset. 'Fine. I don't think he'll be able to do anything to me."

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1133-Let's All Sit Down Paul was stubborn, but Marigold was sensible. She said at once, "Let's listen to Alec. Let's all sit down and talk it out. Then everyone can be on their way without affecting anyone."

Paul said nothing, so Jenny took that as a yes. She sent Gilbert a text, to which Gilbert replied, "Okay."

She sighed in relief. If everyone could talk it out, things wouldn’t go south so quickly.

Alec drove the Wagner siblings home and then left.

"Send me to my apartment. The one near the hospital," Jenny said.

However, Alec didn't listen to her. "You're not thinking of living separately from me, are you?"

"Is there a problem?’ Jenny didn't think there was. Although they were in a relationship, it didn't mean they had to live together.

Alec was reluctant. "You could even stay in Evan's villa. What's wrong with moving in with me? It's not like I’m going to make you share my bedroom. But of course, I'd be alright with it if you wanted to," he added quickly.

Jenny rolled her eyes at him. "Who would want to share a bedroom with you?

You're dreaming. I just think that even though we're dating, we should each have our own spaces. We don't have to live together." It was said that distance made the heart grow fonder. They wouldn't have that if they lived under the same roof.

Alec disagreed. "I think it's great. Plus, it'd help us determine if we're suitable for each other. What do you think?"

Jenny was silent. These were all excuses. Alec just wanted to take advantage of her.

"Jenny, we're definitely marrying each other. It's just that I'll be able to take better care of you if we stay together. Otherwise, I'll just keep on being neighbors with you." If Jenny moved back into that apartment, he'd move in next door.

No matter where Jenny went, they wouldn't be too far from each other.

Jenny was hesitant. But then, she and Alec had already had sex before. Why did she have to hesitate?

They were just going to live together. It wasn't really a big deal. After all, they were already set to spend the rest of their lives together.

"Alright,’ Jenny agreed.

Alec smiled. He was obviously pleased. ’We'll go straight to the villa, then. We'll move your things over slowly."

"You can arrange it." The decision was already made. Jenny was not going to ponder whether it was the right one.

Of course, she was nervous. However, feelings like that wouldn't affect her much.

She didn't conform to social expectations. She didn't care about what anyone said as long as she lived for herself.

Soon, the car reached the villa. Alec had probably ordered for someone to come and keep it in order. The house was clean even though he was gone for a while.

The floors were nicely warmed up, and a cozy feeling embraced Jenny when she went in.

On top of that, there were groceries in the kitchen. It all looked planned.

Jenny rolled her eyes. "You probably already decided I'd be moving in, didn't you?"

Alec smiled dryly, not denying her claim.

"The bedroom I prepared for you is on the third floor, next to mine. You can see if you like it. If you don't, you can select another one." Alec had already gone into the kitchen. He looked like he was going to prepare dinner.

Jenny couldn't be of much help, so she went to the third floor.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1134-Ached for You More It was Jenny's first time on the third floor. Before, she had only gone to the study on the second floor for a while. She had not gone up to the third floor.

When she got up there, she realized that there were only two rooms on the floor.

Besides Alec's, the rest seemed to be specially prepared for her.

She pushed the door open and went in. Although it was said to be just one room, it was huge. However, it was already filled.

A drawing room greeted her. Two plush pink couches sat in the room. It was an adorable sight. She walked further inside and found an especially big walk-in closet.

She wasn't exaggerating at all. It was huge.

There used to be five rooms on the floor, and Alec had turned them into only two rooms. He had probably converted all four rooms into one for her and kept his the same.

When Jenny walked through the closet, her first thought was that this was definitely not done in one day.

The closet was not bare. Branded clothing and accessories were hung inside, and most of them were brands that Jenny already owned.

The bed was in the style that Jenny liked. Even the wallpaper, bedside cabinet, and curtains matched her preferred styles.

It was obvious that Alec had put a lot of effort into it.

Jenny had to admit that she was touched. However, she could sense that he had been planning it for a long time. She didn't really feel repulsed by it, though.

She picked out an outfit and went into the bathroom. She had not had a change of clothes since coming down from the airplane and going to the hospital.

When she got out of the bathroom, the smell of dinner had already drifted upward. She felt hungry at once. She went downstairs and stood at the kitchen doorway.

"When did you prepare the things upstairs?" Jenny asked.

"When I moved in." Truthfully speaking, every house of Alec's had a room prepared for Jenny. He was prepared for her to move in at any time.

Jenny was dubious when she heard that. It all felt rather weird. "Weren't you angry when I moved into Evan's villa? I thought you would be mad."

She even thought that Alec would give up on her.

"I was." Alec didn't deny it. "But I ached for you more. You had no choice but to take care of Evan. The only thing I could do then was to try and let you leave him as soon as possible. At first, I wanted to get a doctor to treat him so you wouldn't have to keep taking care of him. I didn't expect it was all part of his elaborate schemes. It's all very scary to think of now."

Thank God he had discovered it in time. If he hadn't, Jenny would have been fooled by Evan and brought out of the country against her will.

When he brought up Evan's scheme, Jenny's heart felt heavy. "Yeah. Who would have thought? I'm sorry, Alec," she said, looking at Alec, who was chopping up some vegetables.

Alec stopped and looked at her. "You don't ever have to apologize to me, Jenny.

I'd rather hear you tell me that you love me."

Jenny was moved at first, but then when he said those words, the feeling vanished. "Hurry up with the cooking. I'm hungry."

"Alright." Alec smiled. He wasn't mad at all.

Jenny didn't leave. She stood in the kitchen doorway, watching him cook with fluid movements. Anyone might think he was a seasoned chef at a restaurant.

She suddenly thought that having someone like him around would be nice. It was better than eating at the hospital every day. That was the only advantage she could think of from having Alec as her boyfriend.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1135-e was dubious. She looked at him warily and asked,"

You're not thinking of making me drunk, are you?’ Alec didn't quite know how to respond to that. "We haven't really celebrated us getting together before.’ He couldn't tell what went through Jenny's mind at times. Was he that sort of person?

Jenny smiled dryly and tried to ease the awkwardness. "I was just joking. I know you're not that type of guy."

Alec chuckled. He didn't really push it. They clinked their glasses together and drank the wine.

Jenny preferred eating since Alec was pretty good at cooking. She wasn't much of a drinker. She looked at Alec. He seemed to have drunk quite a bit.

"Do you know how happy I am to finally be with you, Jenny?" Alec, who was getting tipsy, looked at Jenny with love in his eyes.

Jenny felt vulnerable under Alec's scorching gaze. "Maybe not…"

"You don't know how afraid I was to lose you. I was so afraid you wouldn't give me another chance, that we'd spent the rest of eternity just being neighbors." He couldn't imagine Jenny with someone else. He felt that Jenny's happiness had to come from him.

Alec was probably truly drunk. Sometimes he would say romantic things, but he would never use such sappy words.

However, Jenny was touched. After all those twists and turns, she still decided to be with Alec. To her, that was destiny. They were fated to be together.

When she saw that Alec was still going to drink, she hurriedly stopped him.

"Don't drink anymore. You're drunk."

"Still, I am happy. Really happy." Alec rested against Jenny, feeling satisfied with what their future might bring.

Jenny let him keep on mumbling.

They arrived at the bar. Jenny did not know why Paul would choose to meet there. Was it because it was his territory? Did he want to fight again?

She glanced at Paul and Gilbert, sitting in the private booth, and then at Marigold, who was behind a screen.

Jenny didn't want Marigold to be there. After all, Gilbert's words were harsh.

Marigold would be upset if she heard them. However, Paul insisted on bringing her over, saying he wanted her to face reality. Jenny had no choice but to let him.

"Why don't you two start by telling each other what you want," Jenny said. The silence couldn't carry on forever. She and Alec would be the unofficial judges for today.

Paul rolled his eyes. ’Wants? Did she think this was a courtroom?’ he thought.

But once Alec glared at him, Paul said indifferently, "It's simple. He slept with my sister and got her pregnant, so he must take responsibility!"

"And what about you, Gilbert?’ Jenny asked.

Gilbert was surprisingly cooperative. He had to respect Jenny, after all."

Marigold is a grown adult. She should have known the consequences of setting me up. Hence, she doesn't need me to be responsible for her. She should be responsible for herself."

"Liar!’ Paul was upset.

Jenny interrupted him. "And this is why you two are at odds with each other. The result will not change no matter how many times you talk it out." Paul shrugged.

Gilbert said nothing.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1136-st take a step back,” Jenny said. She looked at Paul." You should know that my brother will never take responsibility for Marigold. Hence, you should let it go."

"What do you think?" Paul was cold. "Gilbert is your brother. Of course, you'd help him."

"I couldn’t force him to do what he doesn't want to do even if he wasn't my brother," Jenny retorted. Paul was unwilling to solve the problem.

Paul sneered. He wouldn't have paid attention to Jenny if it weren't for Alec.

"Gilbert, this might not be your responsibility, but it has already happened. You have to compensate them in some way." Jenny looked at her brother. She was indeed there to resolve their problem. She didn't want them to hold this against each other.

It wouldn't benefit either Marigold or Gilbert.

Gilbert didn't object, letting Jenny continue.

"You can't support her emotionally, that's for sure. That leaves you with the more materialistic option." In other words, money.

Before Gilbert could react, Paul said, dissatisfied, ' What do you mean, Jenny?

Do you think the Wagners are broke? I didn't come here looking for his money."

If it was money they were discussing, the Wagners were much richer than Gilbert.

"That's the Wagners' business. This money is for Marigold and has nothing to do with you. You have no right to refuse on her behalf." Jenny didn't think that Marigold would refuse. She was stubborn but not a fool. Once the child was born, the expenses would be through the roof. Whether Gilbert liked it or not, that was his child. He had to pay.

Paul wanted to retort, but in the end, he didn't.

"Alright. I agree." Gilbert did not hesitate much. He just wanted to settle it quickly. "Will she stop pestering me once she gets the money?"

"You fucking…" Paul couldn't bear it anymore, but Alec clamped his hand over his mouth.

Gilbert wasn't afraid of him. The most that Paul could do was beat him up again.

"I don't care what you say. I will never recognize that child as my own."

He was willing to pay up only because he didn't want to embarrass Jenny and wanted the matter settled quickly.

Behind the screen, tears welled up in Marigold's eyes. She didn't let them fall.

She was no longer the Marigold from before. Now, she had someone to protect.

She couldn't be weak.

Jenny was right. Marigold needed the money that Gilbert gave. It didn't matter if Gilbert believed it or not. This was his child. Hence, she wouldn't feel guilty about taking his money.

"That's settled then. My brother will pay Marigold child support. We'll put out the other fires when they crop up." What if Gilbert thought the child was cute and regretted his decision later on?

Marigold would have the right to call the shots if that ever happened.

Jenny was actually looking forward to seeing Gilbert be tortured by Marigold.

That would be fun to see.

No one said anything else. Gilbert wrote a check on the spot. It was basically all of the capital he had. The nine figures would enable Marigold to raise the child very well, even without the Wagners' help.

They weren't broke, but they had to admit that this amount was large for Gilbert.

It was a lesson learned for him.

From now on, he would not get drunk in public and allow another Marigold to appear.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1137-Let Him Sit With His Thoughts Gilbert left the bar after writing the check. It was then that Marigold came out from behind the screen. She had already calmed herself down. Besides the redness in her eyes, nothing else was shown on her face.

"I don't know what you see in him!" Paul was a little angry to see her.

Marigold said nothing and sat at the side. Jenny slid the check over and said, "I know you don't want to contact him often, but for the child's sake, you must take this money.'' "You don't have to tell me to. I will." However, the amount written on it made her gasp.

She looked at Jenny and then at Paul, who snorted and said, "This isn't even a lot."

"Is this too much, Jenny?" Marigold ignored her brother. Even to the Wagners, it was not a small sum.

Jenny shook her head. "He can earn the money back. It's not much. Only enough to ensure that you can raise the child stress-free."

"Alright." Marigold didn’t refuse. She knew that Gilbert was giving her this much to make her stay away from him. If this was before. Marigold would not have been able to do it. But now, nothing else mattered to her except the money.

Jenny sighed in relief after seeing Marigold accept the money. Things would be difficult if she didn't take it.

"If it were up to me, I'd take the money and abort the kid. You still have so much life left. Are you really going to throw all that away? For a kid?" If this child is born, Marigold would have a hard time finding someone to marry.

Marigold looked at Paul seriously. "Please don't say things like that anymore, Paul. I've already made my decision. From now on, this child is my world. If you talk about aborting it again, I will be very upset."

"I'm just doing what's good for you!" Paul was angry.

Marigold said nothing. She didn’t need his version of good.

Seeing that they were about to fight, Jenny said, "I'll send you back."

"Okay. Thank you." Marigold nodded. She didn't want to hear Paul say anything else. She had already had enough of him.

Just like that, Jenny and Marigold left the bar, leaving Alec and Paul in the private booth.

Paul was still mad. He said, "Was I wrong, Alec? I’m just doing what's good for her."

"You weren't wrong, but…Marigold wasn't, either. You just can’t understand what a mother feels," Alec said.

Paul was solemn.

"Let's just leave it at that. Don't bother about it anymore, and don't go picking on Gilbert. I won't bail you out of prison the next time," Alec warned. He didn't want Paul and Jenny to fight.

Paul rolled his eyes. 'You're pussy whipped."

Alec merely smiled. What was wrong with that? Paul didn't have a taste of what it was like yet.

Outside the bar, after Jenny watched Marigold leave in the cab, she turned to look for Alec. Just then, he walked out.

"Where's Paul?" Jenny was bewildered to see only him.

"Don't bother him. Let him sit with his thoughts," Alec said nonchalantly.

"Alright. As long as he doesn't bother Gilbert anymore." Jenny didn't care what Paul thought as long as he left Gilbert alone.

"Don't worry. He wouldn't dare." With Alec's warning, Paul probably wouldn't repeat the same mistake.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1138-owever, he wanted to accompany Jenny for a while longer, so he was not going there yet.

Jenny read his mind and said, "We have lots of time, Alec. We don't have to be together all the time. Do you know what I mean?"

If Alec left his work to see her like this in the future, Jenny would start thinking she was affecting him.

"I know. Don't worry. I'll handle the things in the company." Alec nodded with a smile. "I'll just send you back."

"Take me to the shopping mall. I invited Stephanie out," Jenny said quickly.

Alec nodded. ’Okay."

They drove toward the mall. Alec asked, "Is Stephanie with Leonard yet?"

"Probably not. She'd tell me if they were." She and Stephanie had contacted each other these few days, and Stephanie hadn't told her anything about Leonard at all. Hence, Jenny guessed that they were not together yet.

Alec seemed to sigh in relief when he heard that.

Jenny glanced at him and asked, "You don't think Paul still has a chance, do you?’ "As long as she's not with other men, of course he does." It didn't matter if they thought it was a small possibility. What mattered was what Paul thought.

Jenny leaned her head against the window. She couldn't be bothered to say much else. "Whatever. I don't think there's any hope for him. It's best if he faces reality soon. Besides, isn't Melanie nice? She's such a nice girl, yet he doesn't know how to cherish her," Jenny scoffed.

Alec didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. "You seem to have double standards, Jenny.’ Jenny didn't think there was anything wrong with Gilbert not liking Marigold, but she thought that Paul was an ass for not liking Melanie.

"Of course. Paul cant compare to my brother.’ Jenny felt a little guilty, but she admitted it anyway.

Paul wasn't her friend. In fact, because of the whole incident with Stephanie, she didn't like him at all. Hence, she'd want to help her brother.

Alec didn't mean to blame her. He smiled. "Of course. They cant compare."

The car swiftly arrived at the mall entrance. Stephanie happened to be getting down from a cab, as well. When she saw them, she ran up to greet them.

"Jenny! Mr. Faust! Congratulations on your win, Mr. Faust," Stephanie teased.

Alec had certainly put a lot of effort into pursuing Jenny. But Stephanie thought that this was all his fault. He didn't cherish her before.

Alec thanked her but showed no sign of following them. "You can go shopping together. Put it on my tab."

"You're so generous, Mr. Faust!" Stephanie clapped her hands. Alec was rich enough to afford to say things like that.

When Alec was about to leave, Jenny said, 'Be careful."

"Alright. Call me when you're done shopping. I'll come and fetch you." He drove off, quickly disappearing from sight.

Jenny didn't retract her gaze until the car was completely gone from sight.

Stephanie snapped her fingers in front of her face. "Hello? Earth to Jenny."

Jenny came back to her senses and glared at her. "What are you doing?' "The honeymoon phase is really something. You two are such a couple of lovebirds," Stephanie teased. She suddenly felt the urge to start dating.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1139-They Are Going To Marry They held hands as they walked into the mall and talked about Jenny's recent events as they shopped. Once Stephanie learned everything, she said, "Evan really went too far. Did he honestly think he could trap you in there forever?"

As Jenny's long-time friend, she knew that even if Jenny couldn't find an escape plan quickly, she would never give up and spend the rest of her life with Evan.

Jenny smiled bitterly. She would probably never understand what went through Evan's head, but she guessed that with all their years apart, Evan no longer understood her.

"Well, what about you and Alec? You didn't agree to be with him just because he saved you, did you?" Stephanie didn't think that Jenny would be so impulsive. If she were the type to agree to be in a relationship because of one kind gesture, she would have gotten together with Evan ages ago.

Jenny was quiet for a bit before speaking. "We probably fulfilled our destinies by being together. If it weren't for Evan's scheme, I might have gotten together with him long ago.” She was already preparing herself to agree to be with Alec. It was only because of Evan that they had to drag things out.

Stephanie didn't think there was anything wrong with them being together. She was just fascinated. "After all those twists and turns, you still ended up together.

Is fate really so magical?"

"Perhaps." Jenny wasn’t too sure of it herself.

"But it's good that you're with Alec. You're taking no losses.’ Stephanie could tell that Alec would never leave Jenny.

Truth be told, she was rather envious. Love would really push people forward.

Jenny didn't talk about her and Alec anymore. She brought up Stephanie and Leonard. "What about you and Leonard? Haven't things progressed yet? M "Things are left like this for now. He's busy. And when he's not, we eat together and sometimes watch movies together." Leonard had never actually told her that he liked her, much less confess.

Stephanie liked him somewhat, but she couldn't be the one to say it.

"By the way, Jade and Max are going to marry. She asked me to go dress shopping with her recently," Stephanie said.

Jenny was stunned. ’Marriage? So quickly? Why didn't I know about this?"

"You hadn't come back yet, so she didn't call to let you know." Stephanie and Jade met each other through Jenny. Logically speaking, Jade and Jenny were closer to each other, and the wedding dress shopping should have been Jenny's duty.

But Jenny was still overseas then, and they didn't know when she would be back. That was why Jade contacted Stephanie instead.

They could get along together. Even if Jenny weren't around, they would still meet up to shop and grab a cup of coffee.

Jenny pursed her lips, feeling conflicted. "She and Max haven’t been together for very long, have they? And they're planning to marry so soon?"

"Jade said that as long as you meet the right person, it doesn't matter when you marry.’ Stephanie didn't know what Jade was thinking, but the woman was pretty happy now. Max probably treated her well.

At those words, Jenny thought of what Alec had said about marriage. At the time, Jenny had wanted to take things slow. But now, when she heard about Max and Jade's wedding, she wondered if she was overthinking things

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1140-I'm Joining You For Dinner "When are you and Alec planning to marry?” Stephanie directed the topic of the conversation toward Jenny and Alec. "Oh, I mean, remarry.’ Jenny had nothing to say to that. "It's still early." Jenny still had yet to plan a marriage.

"I envy you so much. You are all marrying and getting together, and I'm still single," Stephanie exclaimed sadly.

Jenny didn't pity her. Instead, she rolled her eyes. ’There are so many people out there willing to be in a relationship with you. But do you want to? It "I do.” Stephanie just wanted a normal love story, unlike her incident with Paul.

"Then try it out with Leonard,’ Jenny suggested.

Stephanie pursed her lips and said softly, 'TH see. Who knows if he actually likes me? I don't want to overdo things.’ "The choice is yours. As long as you won't regret it." Stephanie may be her good friend, but she couldn't make the decisions for her. Things like love had to be sorted out on her own.

They talked as they shopped, and soon they bought plenty of things. The afternoon went by rather quickly.

The sky gradually turned dark. Stephanie guessed that Alec would probably arrive soon and said, "I'm going to go home so I don't get in your way."

"Oh, don’t you think of pulling that trick on me." Jenny didn't think that Stephanie had to worry about it. Alec wouldn't mind either.

Jenny pulled at Stephanie, who couldn't escape. "I just don't want to bother the two of you.’ "Don't say things like that. I'll get angry." Jenny pretended to be upset. She wasn't the type to ditch her friends for her boyfriend.

Stephanie didn't insist. "Alright. I'll join you for dinner. I promise I'll be good, n Alec soon arrived. He didn't mind that Stephanie was there. He looked at Jenny and asked, "What do you want to eat?"

"I'm fine with anything. You can decide." Jenny didn't feel like eating anything in particular.

Alec looked at Stephanie. "What about you?"

"I'm fine with anything, Mr. Faust. You two call the shots. I'm just tagging along,"

Stephanie hurriedly replied. She was still a little intimidated by him.

Alec looked at her and said, 'Since you're Jenny's friend, you're my friend, too.

You can just call me Alec. You can drop the formalities."

Stephanie was shocked. Alec had never said anything like that to her before. It seemed that he truly had changed.

"In that case, we shall have ratatouille.’ Alec made his decision. Jenny and Stephanie didn't object.

They walked into the restaurant. Jenny and Alec had come there before, so they were familiar with it. It was Stephanie's first time coming there because she was always busy at work. She didn't have the time to eat at places like this.

When they sat down, Jenny's phone rang. It was Jade. She picked up, guessing what the call would be about. "Hey, Jade."

"Have you had dinner yet, Jenny?" Jade said. Over the phone, Jenny could hear her laughter.

"I'm in the middle of it. What about you?" Jenny asked.

Jade was surprised to hear that. "I was just about to invite you out. Who are you eating with?"

"Stephanie and Alec," Jenny said.

Jade said nothing as if discussing with someone else on the other end. Then, she said, "Where are you? We haven't had anything to eat yet. Do you mind if we join you?"

Jenny didn't agree at once. She looked at Stephanie and Alec and said," Jade wants to come over. Max is probably coming, too."

"Sure," Stephanie said. But then she felt a little guilty since she was only a guest.

Alec nodded. ’You can decide.’ Jenny smiled. She gave Jade the restaurant's address and waited forthem to come.
