Chapter 6317
For Charlie and Maria, Antarctica is undeniably dull. Despite being immersed in the vast and breathtaking lower city, they both feel the monotony in a world devoid of anyone else. Charlie, a cultivator, would have eagerly focused his energy on harnessing the abundant reiki around him if he hadn’t already sensed such fullness. With Maria having suggested a trip to the United States, Charlie readily agreed. They promptly moved from the square to the fifth floor of the Four Pagodas without any delay.
Holding Maria’s hand, Charlie made their way to the exchange station located due west of the Bagua Array. With a single thought, their vision shifted, and they found themselves in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California.
Exiting the hidden cave, the pair stood in a valley near Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the United States, flanked by national parks on either side. At that moment, dawn broke in California, bathing Mount Whitney in a golden light as the eastern sky ignited. Though beautiful, the mountain lacked the grandeur of its Himalayan counterpart, which is known as the Sunshine Mountain.
Maria gazed at the peak, filled with delight as she remarked, “I ascended this mountain long ago. I never imagined I would have the chance to visit again after a century.”
Charlie smiled and responded, “If Miss Clark is willing, we can retrace the paths you once walked before the Antarctic winter arrives!”
Surprised, Maria exclaimed, “Really?”
Charlie nodded earnestly, saying with a grin, “Absolutely! The teleportation array extends in every direction, making it easy to go anywhere you desire.”
