Ch. 966..970: Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies Chapter 966-970

Chapter 966

“She did not know about it does not mean that she had nothing to do with it.” Anthony’s eyes were dark.

The Rolls Loyce parked in front of the police station, and Anthony looked out of the window. He did not get out of the car for a long time and did not get the car to drive away either.

Ivan and the driver were quiet. They knew that he was debating with himself internally.

After all, it was not a good idea for him to show his care for Anne.

The real murderer would only show up when someone became the scapegoat.

“Let’s go.” Anthony’s voice was low.

The driver then drove away.

Anne was in the holding cell, but she was still free. She could still walk around, and there would be meals delivered to her.

Anne sat by the bed and looked at the food and drinks on her table.

That did not make her feel any better. If anything, that made her feel even more tormented.

Anthony did not come by again ever since he left in the morning.

He said he would be there later.

She waited until dusk but did not see him.

She could not believe that she had trusted him again.

Her eyes were wet, and tears were about to flow out again. She held them in, knowing that it was pointless for her to cry.

“Let me go and see her!” Tommy was making a scene at the police station.

He knew that Anne had lost her memory and was feeling very flustered about it. He went out of the country, thinking that out of sight, out of mind.

However, he was informed about Dorothy’s murder when he was abroad. Even though they did not tell him who the murderer was, he felt something was wrong and immediately came back.

He did not expect that they were accusing Anne of being the murderer.

“I am sorry, she is an important suspect now. No one is allowed to see her!” The officer stopped him.

“What do you mean by an important suspect? Do you have evidence?” Tommy’s cold face was full of anger.

“Of course we do, the fingerprints on the weapon belonged to her, and the deceased fell off the balcony of her residence. If it was not her, who else could it be?

There are witnesses and evidence. Now, no one can bait her!”

Tommy did not care about all this. “I must see her now!”

“I am sorry, I hope you do not make a scene here.” The officer persisted.

He could not see her, and he did not have other means either. It seemed that Anne was set up for death!

Tommy dashed back to his car furiously.

He wondered, Anne ended up like this, but why was there no reaction from Anthony?

What was he doing?

He took out his phone and called Anthony.

He only answered after a long while but did not say a word.

“Brother, where are you?”

“The Royal Mansion.”

“I will go over now.”

Tommy sped away, and he did not even slow down at every turn.

He found Anthony to be spending time with the kids in the Royal Mansion.

Anthony sat in front of the table, and there was a cup of tea before him. He watched the triplets playing on the lawn quietly.

Tommy walked to the table and sat down. “Brother, you are not concerned at all about Anne, are you?”

“I did not expect her to kill.” Anthony looked into afar, his eyes like two dried well.

“You control everything about her every day. She lost her memory, and you decided just to play along and claim

that you are married. Now she ran into trouble, and you are suddenly quiet?”

“She killed Dorothy, Bianca’s mother. Bianca is in pain now. If I released her, it would be brutal on Bianca,” Anthony said.

Chapter 967

Tommy knew from a long time ago that Anthony liked Bianca, even if he was manipulating Anne.

However, did he not cancel his engagement with Bianca because of Anne?

“I feel guilty toward Bianca.” Anthony held the teacup in his hand and took a sip, his dark eyes keeping his emotions tucked away. “I will pull my strings to make sure she is alive. She would, at most, be jailed for five years, and if she performed well, she would be released in a year or two. I will wait for her.”

Tommy did not expect him to plan for this, and his expression went cold. “Do you really think she killed her? How would it be possible for Anne to kill someone?”

“She had threatened Bianca with a knife before. Did you know about that?” Anthony asked him.

Of course, Tommy did not know about it.

“If I did not show up that time, Bianca could have been killed by her. I had punished her before, but she repeated the offense! The witness and evidence are all leading up to her. There is no second possibility.” Anthony’s expression was cold.

“However, I think things are…” Tommy wanted to rebut but was interjected by Anthony.

“Don’t say anything more. I have asked the police to look into this. You take care of yourself and don’t mess things up,” Anthony said, placed down his teacup, and then walked to the kids.

He kicked the ball.

The triplets then ran to chase the ball.

Tommy felt flustered. He held his anger and left.

His car sped on the road, and he kept thinking that it was not possible.

How could Anne kill someone? She lost her memory. Why would she want to kill? Why?

If it was not her, then who would it be…

He pulled the car to a halt by the roadside.

Tommy recalled someone, Lilian.

He took out his phone and called Lilian, “Are you in Luton?”

“Yes, I am home. What’s up?”

“Is Dorothy’s death related to you? Tell me the truth!” Tommy kept his voice hushed. Otherwise, he would be shouting uncontrollably.

“Me? Why would it have anything to do with me? Didn’t they capture the murderer already? It is Anne!” Lilian said.

“She would not be brave enough for this!”

“Tommy, people lose their sh*t when they are mad. I heard from the neighbors around that area that Anne had a physical fight with Dorothy, then Dorothy fell from the fifth floor.”

“Did you go there?”

“No, I also only knew about it from the internet. I did not have any reason to kill Dorothy. It would be even less probable for me to frame Anne with this. Anthony is powerful, and it would be a piece of cake for him to bail Anne. Then my efforts will all be in vain,” Lilian said.

“The point is Anthony is not intending to step in.

“Why?”

“Perhaps he could not explain it to Bianca! After all, it seemed that Anne is the murderer so far.”

After the phone call, Lilian sat on the balcony and sipped on the coffee. It tasted extra good.

Now she only needed to wait for the good news of Anne being convicted.

Anne had been detained for over 48 hours, and they did not find any other evidence.

After 48 hours, she was held for another two days before Marco appeared.

Anne, who was curled in one corner, turned her face around. She could not keep her hopes up anymore.

She understood that she could not run away from the conviction since Anthony’s absence.

She killed Bianca’s mother, and Anthony’s actions had already explained everything…

The metal door was opened. Marco walked into the holding cell, looked at Anne, and said, “The court will take over the case. You will be transferred to the detention center now, and wait for the trial.”

Anne looked up and watched him numbly, saying, “I… I did not kill her…”

“I hope that you can come clean so that the court can give you a lighter sentence.”

Anne wondered if the lighter sentence meant she was exempted from the death sentence.

Anne walked out of the holding cell and stood before the custody car. Anthony still had not shown up.

Chapter 968

Was she nothing to Anthony compared to Bianca?

The man that she loved was loving another woman. This was even more agonizing than sending her to jail.

“Anne!”

When Anne was about to enter the car, someone called her.

She was stunned and turned around. She saw a car parked in the distance and saw a gentleman - looking man with glasses looking worried.

Apparently, Anne could not find any recollection of this man in her memory, and his expressions confused her.

Lucas came over but was stopped by the police.

“Anne, I will hire the best lawyer in Luton. Don’t you worry!” Lucas was almost shouting, he was afraid that she could not hear him, or perhaps he was trying to give her confidence and console her.

This was the first person that wanted to help her in the past few days of detention. She could not help but take a few more looks at this man.

She wondered, who was this…

She did not have much time to think about that either because the police officer next to her was urging her to get into the vehicle.

She took one last look at Lucas and entered the car.

On the way to the detention center, she did not react much, as though she had lost her senses.

More accurately, she was dead inside.

She was given a single room in the detention center. In fact, the environment inside looked more like a little one- bedroom, one bathroom, and one living room suite. It even had a small fridge and a television. It was rather well -equipped.

It was Anne’s first time seeing the detention center. She was escorted by the police all the way here and did not expect the detention center to be so humane.

There was a window. However, it was sealed tightly, leaving no chance for her to escape.

Anne suppressed the sour and bitter feeling in her, but her hopelessness and depression still crept in…

In the middle of the night, Bianca, who was asleep, felt that she heard the door being shut. She opened her eyes in confusion.

The lights in her room were not off. She turned and saw Lilian, who entered the room. She held her chest. “Are you trying to freak me out?”

Lilian found a chair and sat down as though she was in her own room.

However, she was skilled and had been able to make it into such a well–guarded mansion effortlessly.

Bianca knew what she was capable of, and when she realized that Lilian could enter her premises so quietly, she could not help but feel the chills down her spine.

“Anne was sent to the detention center and awaiting the death sentence. How do you feel?” Lilian asked.

“Of course, I am beyond delighted. I had waited my whole life for this moment for Anne to be dead. However, she had killed my mom. It is too easy for her with just a death sentence!” Bianca felt bad when she remembered her mother’s tragic death.

Lilian was not capable of empathizing with her.

“Do you really think it was Anne? Do you really think she would be capable enough for that?” Lilian asked.

“…What do you mean?” Bianca was dumbfounded, then it dawned on her. “Was it… Was it you who killed her?”

Lilian was quiet, as though she had silently admitted it.

Bianca rolled off the bed in a fury, and she widened her eyes in disbelief. “What is wrong with you? Why did you kill my mother?”

“I am helping you to get rid of Anne. You should thank me for it,” Lilian said.

“Why did you have to kill my mother to get rid of Anne?” Bianca picked up the lamp from her nightstand and slammed it on Lilian.

Lilian did not stand up, and merely dodged it by moving her upper body. The lamp slammed into the wall behind her.

Lilian said to Bianca, who was infuriated, “If you are not happy with it, you could call 911 and turn me in now.”

Her phone was on the nightstand, within her reach.

Bianca dashed to get her phone. “Do you think I will not do that?”

Lilian did not stop her, and she was waiting for her to call 911.

Bianca pressed the digits, but she did not bring herself to press the dial button.

If she had called the cops and said someone else killed her mother, would Anne be released immediately then?

Would it be worth it for her to do so?

Chapter 969

It was her lifetime wish to have Anne dead.

Only with Anne dead would Anthony return to her, then she would be Mrs. Marwood and live happily ever after.

After all, her mother was already dead, and she could not revive her. She might as well just… let Anne be the scapegoat.

Bianca tossed her phone and then looked at Lilian. She was still mad.

Lilian stood up and walked to her. “Now your biggest nemesis is gotten rid of. From now on, our relationship is even closer than ever.”

“Isn’t she your biggest nemesis as well?”

“Of course, she is,” Lilian said.

“Who is the love of your life?” Bianca asked.

She wondered who else did Anne seduce if she could bring that up in front of Anthony and make her look even more loathsome.

“There’s no need for you to know about this. Anyway…

Bianca was paying attention but was confused when she saw Lilian stop talking and look strange. She asked, ” What happened?”

Lilian’s instincts were never wrong. Someone was approaching the house, and she looked at Bianca menacingly. “You set me up?”

“Set you up? What are you talking about?” Bianca was dumbfounded.

Lilian automatically dismissed this possibility. If it was not a setup by Bianca, then it was Anthony who noticed something was wrong.

She immediately went forward and dimmed all the lights in the room.

“What are you doing…”

“Don’t speak. I am surrounded!” Lilian said in a hushed voice.

Bianca was shocked. “By who?”

Lilian felt that the room was bugged, but her instincts kicked in too late!

She grabbed Bianca and whispered in her ears.

Then, she went to the bathroom.

The cars were all parked outside of the mansion. Anthony was standing next to the car, with Marco next to him. They were wearing wireless mics on them and ordered their staff to approach the mansion.

Not only the cops but there were also Anthony’s people.

They surrounded the mansion completely.

Some entered the mansion from the front door, feeling their way in, towards the bedroom.

“They noticed,” Anthony said. He ordered someone to install wiretaps in Bianca’s room and had already known when Lilian appeared, including what she said.

Marco said, “Even if they noticed, they could not get away.”

“Whether alive or dead, I just want to get hold of her. As for the hostage, do not need to care much,” Anthony said brutally.

Marco was unwilling. “How is that okay? We should always consider the hostage in our operations.”

Anthony turned his head to look at him with a deadly gaze. It was hard to ignore, even in the dark.

Marco felt goosebumps on his back and then pretended to look somewhere else.

A shadow flashed upstairs, and the people downstairs immediately pursued.

The shadow knew every corner of the mansion. It turned over a corner, entered a room, and shut the door firmly, bolt locked it.

Someone said on the mic, “Inspector York, someone entered the room in the west.”

“One person?”

“Yes, no hostage.”

“Max, Derrick, get someone over there. Try to get her alive. Other people, go rescue the hostage in the room!” Marco instructed through his mic.

“Roger!”

Just when most of the people were directed to the west, Marco, who had just finished giving his instructions and was about to enter the mansion himself, noticed a shadow escaping the window on the east.

Chapter 970

Marco noticed something was not right. His weathered experience brought his body to immediate reaction and knocked him right to his side. “Watch out, Mr. Marwood!”

Anthony was knocked over and fell backward. A few bullets swooshed past his ear and landed with a bang in the car that he was standing right next to.

Marco shouted into his mic immediately while running with his gun up. “It’s the east! The west is the hostage! Chase her!”

The bodyguard approached. “Are you alright, Mr. Marwood?”

“If you can’t get hold of her, you will be dead!” Anthony was ruthless.

“Yes, sir!”

Lilian used Bianca to distract most of the people, and then she tried to escape from another side.

She noticed Anthony by the car when she was hiding next to the window.

Anne was not really her target. In fact, she wanted Anthony’s life.

Therefore, when she jumped out of the window, her gun was aimed at Anthony.

When she landed, she knew that her attempt was unsuccessful.

She did not dare stay longer and immediately ran to the secluded area behind the mansion.

She shot just anyone that she saw, then hid. No car could enter, she could only run on her two feet, and she really made her way through.

Marco led his people and pursued closely.

They saw the shadow jumping down the hill.

Marco followed and shot down the slope.

There were branches blocking them, and they could not aim properly.

They decided to follow suit and jumped.

When they got onto the road, Lilian had already fled in her car.

The car behind them arrived, and Marco entered the car quickly. “Follow her!”

It was on the outskirts, so there was no traffic.

Even if there were a few cars every now and then, it did not affect Lilian from accelerating.

Lilian was driving at the front while the cars behind her pursued. She could not get rid of them.

There was one car at the front but ten tailing behind.

Lilian knew that things were serious.

She called Tommy desperately, and he only answered after a long while. “Tommy, Anthony’s people are trying to kill me. Help me!”

“Why is he trying to kill you?” Tommy, who was woken up by his phone, asked.

“I… I killed Dorothy.”

“So, you did not come clean when I asked you,” Tommy said.

“I’m sorry, I just did not want to involve you.”

“Then why are you involving me now? Figure your way out yourself.” Tommy hung up.

“Tommy? Tommy…” Lilian slammed her phone angrily.

A bullet shot through, shattering her windshield.

More bullets followed, making banging noises on her car until all her windshields were broken.

Lilian held the steering wheel in one hand, and another one held the gun to return fire.

She fought back the car next to her when she heard a helicopter above her.

It was hard for her to escape now!

She knew clearly that she had nowhere else to go.

However, she could never end up in Anthony’s hands. Otherwise, she would end up tragically!

The car entered the bridge, and Marco snuck his body out of the passenger seat window, then aimed his shots at Lilian. His shots were fiery.

“Ah!” Lilian’s arm was shot. She swerved and banged right into Marco’s car.

“Watch out, Inspector York!” His colleagues pulled him. back into the car.

Within the next second, the cars collided.

They were both already speeding. The sudden collision caused both cars to lose control and spun on the bridge. They flipped and knocked into other cars, one by one. It was chaos.

Lilian had yet to climb out of the car when the bullets rained on her from the helicopter above.

She used one leg to knock down the frail car door and mounted it over her head before running to the cover of the bridge on the other end.
