It was the same number as the man from Tianya.
“Why is he calling?’ She thought, ‘Have they noticed that Anthony is here?’
Noticing the odd look on Anne’s face, Anthony asked, “What’s wrong?”
“It’s nothing. This is probably from Yuri. I need to take this.” Anne entered the bathroom, shutting the door tightly behind her, before answering the call. “Hello?”
“Anthony Marwood is here, right? When are you doing it?” The altered man’s voice came through the line.
Anne’s heart raced, terrified by the Tianya’s connection network to find out that Anthony was here within hours of Anthony landing.
“Is there a problem?”
“I’m making preparations. You don’t have to urge me.”
“You are leaving together, right? If you are not killing him here, are you going to do it in Luton? Killing him here is easier.”
Anne tensed at the feeling of being watched, wondering why Anthony did not notice anything.
“I have my own way of doing this.”
“You can’t do it, can you?”, The man asked.
“…I can.”
“You have one hour. If Anthony Marwood is still alive by then, I’m killing your friend.”
Realizing that something was not right, Anne asked, “What are you talking about?”
“I’ll let you hear for yourself!” The man said and a woman’s wail came through the phone.
Anne shivered. “Y-Yuri?”
“I have her with me. Kill Anthony Marwood, and I will release her.”
“Don’t hurt her!” Anne panicked.
“I told you that she will be fine as long as you kill Anthony Marwood.”
“This mission is supposed to be completed by the two of us. It’s going to be far more difficult to accomplish on my own. An hour isn’t enough,” Anne said.
“No. An hour is more than enough.”
“What are you doing to Y-” Before she could finish, the call ended. “Hello? Hello!”
She desperately tried to dial the number again, only to realize that the man had shut the phone off. “Bast*rd!” She roared and tried to regain her composure.
Yuri had failed to answer her calls because the people from Tianya were caught, and likely had been torturing her.
Anne squeezed her eyes shut, knowing that she had to rescue Yuri.
Just then, someone knocked on the door and she heard Anthony’s husky voice coming from the other side. “Anne?”
She jolted in shock, but immediately started to adjust herself so that Anthony would not be alarmed. She took a few deep breaths and opened the door. “What’s the rush?”
“You’ve been in here for too long, so I came to check on you.” He stared into her eyes.
Anne walked past him and headed for the hall. “You are the one who needs to be checked o -umph!” Before she could finish, Anthony turned her around and pulled her into his embrace.
His shadow loomed over her as he planted a kiss on her lips. “What did you say on the phone with your friend?”
Anne did not push him away and simply tilted her head to the side. “We just need to wait for a while longer. Is that okay?”
“Sure,” Anthony agreed, not knowing that Anne was trying to find a way to deal with him.
Chapter 1487
The flight could not take off, and she knew that stalling any further would alarm Anthony..
Anthony was far too sharp of a man and one would require to be a genius to fool him.
Anne knew that she might not have the ability to fool Anthony, but she needed to try anyway because she could not give up on Yuri.
The people in Tianya showed no mercy when it came to killing.
“I want to sleep in the room. Can you come with me?” She asked calmly.
Without a word, Anthony picked her off the ground and she instinctively held onto his shoulders, then their eyes met, she looked away, worried that he would notice her true intention and worried that Anthony might unleash the beast.
They entered the spacious room with the lights from the outside shining in through the windows gently.
He set her down onto the bed and pressed his body against hers, unable to control the urge to kiss her again.
“Um…don’t…” Anne pulled away. “I need to use the bathroom.”
“Should I carry you there?”
“…I don’t want that.” She shoved at him to get away.
Anthony chuckled and stared at her endearingly, before planting another kiss on her lips and letting her go.
Anne entered the bathroom and he sat by the bed to stare at the bathroom door. Once Anne came out and walked back to the bed, he eagerly reached to hold her waist again.
“Hang on.” She propped her hands onto his shoulders reluctantly. “The sheets are all messed up. Tidy them up.”
Anthony lowered his gaze at the sheets and stood to tidy them.
Tears welled in Anne’s eyes as she stared at his back for a brief moment, before striking him on the back of his neck.
Caught off-guard, Anthony fainted and collapsed onto the bed.
Anne stared at the unconscious man in tears, knowing that he would not have fallen victim
to her assault at all had he not trusted her.
She reached out to caress his cheek and muttered hoarsely, “I’m sorry, but I can’t go with. you…if I die, raise the kids in my place…also, if you really like Lucia, marry her. She is my friend and I’m sure that she will treat my kids with kindness…”
She turned to walk away and ran out of the place.
The bodyguard was confused as to where she was going, but she did not stop or explain herself, determined to defeat anyone who attempted to slow her down.
As soon as she was out of the airport, she caught a taxi and dialed the number from earlier.
“Is it done?” The man asked.
“Yeah, I killed him on the plane.” She tried her best to calm her racing heart.
“That’s it? I haven’t received any updates.”
“Are you suspecting that I’m lying? It’s just one kill. Besides, Yuri means more to me. Is she okay? You promised that you will let her go if I kill Anthony.”
“Of course.”
“If you don’t believe me, I will take Anthony’s head to you.”
“Very well.” The man seemed to have believed her.
Anne held onto her phone after the call ended. She did not have Anthony’s severed head, only the determination to rescue Yuri no matter what.
Meanwhile, Ivan walked into the room and saw Anthony sleeping on the bed. “Mr. Marwood?”
Anthony, who was supposed to be unconscious, opened his eyes abruptly.

Anne arrived at a cruise ship as per the instruction she was given with a wooden chest in hand that was dripping blood along the way.
She arrived at the main hall where there was not a soul. The ceiling was painted blue and
she felt so small and alone.
Anne looked around, not finding anyone suspicious, but she knew that the people from Tianya were lurking in the dark.
“You arrived sooner than I expected.” A man appeared on the second floor, wearing the same mask as the head of Tianya.
Anne stilled and lifted the chest in her hand. “Here’s Anthony Marwood’s head. Where is Yuri?”
The masked man commanded, “Open it.
“I want to see Yuri first.”
“Sure.” The man snapped his finger and a person was instantly dropped from the ceiling.
“Ah!” Anne jumped and hurried over to catch Yuri, only to notice that Yuri was tied on all her limbs and was hanging from the ceiling.
Despite the distance between them, Anne could still see the pain on Yuri’s face.
“Yuri!” She called out.
Yuri searched helplessly for the source of Anne’s voice and found Anne in the end. “You…
shouldn’t have come…leave.”
“What’s wrong? What have they done to you?” Anne asked hastily.
“Can’t you see?” The masked man asked, “Lower the ropes slightly.”
Yuri dropped for another two meters and Anne finally noticed that the ropes had pierced through Yuri’s wrists and ankles.
Anne’s breath caught at the inhumane torture that had put Yuri through.
“Bast*rds! Rot in hell!!” Anne tossed the chest aside and aimed her gun at the fences.
The masked man hid behind one of the pillars with blood oozing from the wound on his
arm.
Bullets flew toward the pillar as Anne emptied the gun and shouted frantically, “Ahh!!! Come out and face me!!”
“Why aren’t you shooting now?” The man came out and stared down. “You can keep shooting. I’m not against it.”
Resentment filled Anne’s eyes. “What do you want? I’ve done what you asked! Release Yuri right now!”
“Why should I do that? Doesn’t she seem like she’s having fun right now?” The man teased.
Anne paled as she glanced at the pained expression on Yuri’s face.
She refused to accept the fact that they had hurt her friend.
“What is it going to take for you to release her? I can do anything!”
Before the masked man could respond, Yuri muttered weakly, “Anne…”
“Don’t speak, Yuri. I’m going to get you out. I won’t let you die.” Tears scrolled down Anne’s face.
“Just give up. I’m sorry, but I can’t come with you now…”
“No!! You agreed! You can’t regret it now!” Pain pierced through Anne’s chest as she sobbed. She turned to glare at the masked man and roared, “Let her go!!”
“Oh, my. How touching. If you care so much about her, why didn’t you kill Anthony Marwood?”
Anne panicked.
“That’s not Anthony’s head in the chest!” The man pointed at the wooden chest. “This just says that Yuri isn’t as important as Anthony Marwood is to you.
“No…” Anne shook her head. “That’s not true…”
She had thought that she would be able to fool them and rescue Yuri, but had never expected the masked man to be so perverted in his ways of torturing Yuri.

All the ways had been blocked and the only way out was to jump from the second floor, but with Anthony and Anne waiting on the first floor, there was no way that the man could
escape.
Anne could not be bothered with the man and wanted to rush to Yuri’s side.
Anthony wrapped his arm around Anne’s waist tightly and said, “Don’t worry. Someone is going to get her to the hospital.”
Yuri ascended toward the ceiling, trembling as the slightest movement caused tremendous pain.

Shielded by Anthony, Anne could not believe that they survived. She finally relaxed when someone rescued Yuri on the highest floor and muttered,

“You don’t ever have to thank me.” He caressed her cheek. “You should have told me about this. No matter what happens, I will send anyone who dares to bully you to hell.”
Devastation and panic overwhelmed Anne, knowing that she could no longer fool Anthony about what happened.
“Just tell me everything once we get back. Don’t be afraid.” Anthony studied her face gently. “Even if you’ve killed, I can handle it. Okay?”
Anne could not utter a single work. All the sleepless nights and lonely moments came rushing back to her memory and now that she finally found someone to lean on, she could no longer stop her tears from falling.
Anthony held her close and kissed her on the ear. “I’m sorry,” he said hoarsely, sounding as though he was the reason for all her suffering. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry..
The masked man fell to his knees.
Anthony and Anne looked over to find the leader of Tianya on the ground.
He had murdered many without a care in the world and he deserved no mercy.
“Take off this mask. I want to see what he looks like,” Anthony ordered darkly.
Ivan tore the mask off of the man’s face, revealing an ordinary-looking face.
Anne was slightly taken by surprise, but soon realized that she should not judge a book by its cover.
“Bleed him out and throw him into the sea.” Anthony stared at the man coldly, determined to make sure that the man died considering how well-trained the people from Tianya were.
The bodyguard immediately cut the man’s throat, not giving him the chance to plead for
his life at all.
Members of Tianya had no fear for death as they had seen past it, not to mention the leader himself.
When Anne arrived at the hospital, Yuri had already been sent to the ward and was laying in bed, looking slightly pale. When the door flew open, she turned around and eased when. she saw Anne.
Anne hurried over and stared at the bandages wrapped around Yuri’s wrists. “The doctor said that you can’t participate in any extreme sports again, but this won’t affect your ability to live a normal life. That’s all we’ve ever wanted, right, Yuri?”
Yuri nodded. “Yeah. I’m coming home with you.”
“Get better soon. I’ll not leave until you recover.”
Yuri spotted a figure lurking outside the door and instantly realized who it was.
“Anne, follow your heart. That’s all you need to do.”
Anne understood what Yuri meant, but things between her and Anthony had been far too complicated and simply following her heart was not enough.
They returned to Anthony’s hotel room and as soon as they arrived, he pinned her against
the wall and kissed her.
Her breath caught in her throat as Anthony ignored her half-hearted effort in getting away.
