Ch. 1076..1080: Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies Chapter 1076-1080

Chapter 1076

Tina could not hide how pleased she was. ‘Oh, my. Why did you send it here? What would Ashlynn think? I could have eaten this later.”

Ashlynn could tell that she was showing off and simply focused on the television, all the while thinking to herself, Corentin said that he doesn’t care about this baby, but this doesn’t look that way.‘

Even if Tina did not show off in front of her, she knew that the maids were ordered to deliver a beauty collagen drink to her every single day and to make sure that she finished it.

The maid did not leave the room until Tina had finished the drink.

“Hang on.” Tina stopped the maid and said, “Bring some for Ashlynn as well.”

“That’s all of it,” the maid said.

Tina fell into silence awkwardly.

“I’m fine. You are the pregnant one,” Ashlynn said.

Tina felt embarrassed for Ashlynn. Though she had not expected the drink to be finished, it turned out in her favor.

“I’ll talk to Mr. Lloyd tomorrow to make some for you as well,” Tina said.

Ashlynn shot her a look, knowing that Tina was hinting that the only way Ashlynn could get such a privilege was through her.

“Thanks, but I don’t like it,” Ashlynn said.

Tina left the room while talking to the maid who helped her out. “Be careful. I’m pregnant with Mr. Lloyd’s child. Mr. Lloyd is the heir to the Lloyd Group, and this child in my belly is his heir. No harm can come to it, understood?”

“Yes.”

“Also, you don’t have to deliver Ashlynn’s lunch in time. She lays in bed all day doing nothing, so I don’t think she would be hungry that soon,” Tina said.

“Yes, ma’am,”

Tina could not tolerate Ashlynn and wished for nothing but for Ashlynn to disappear. However, since Corentin still appeared to be interested in Ashlynn, Tina decided to be patient for the time being.

In the living room, she spotted an old man walking in, and the maid next to her said, ” That’s Elder Lloyd.”

Tina had never seen members of the elite society before and was only referred to working at a bar because she could not find a job with a satisfying income. She was young and beautiful, so she made quite an income from serving men. To her

surprise, she happened upon Corentin and was instantly enslaved by his looks and elegant demeanor.

“You are bearing Corentin’s child?” Cory scanned the pregnant woman before him.

She recovered from the initial shock and approached. “Yes… This is Mr. Lloyd’s baby. My name is Tina.”

Cory had caught news of the recent development and decided to pay a visit in Corentin’s absence. He was not at all surprised, as it was normal for a capable man to see multiple women at a time.

Cory sat down. “How far along are you?”

“Almost five months.”

“Since you are pregnant now, focus on giving birth to the child. Your child will be taken under the Lloyd Family’s wing,” Cory said.

His words promised her a powerful patron, and Tina was over the moon.

“Yes. I will give birth to it safely. I’ve gone to the hospital and found out that it’s a boy. “For a family as powerful as the Lloyds, a daughter would mean nothing.

“Good. We will reward you once you give birth to the child.” Cory felt that having only one son to inherit the family legacy was insufficient.

Overjoyed, she said, “Thank you, Elder Lloyd!”

Cory left the mansion, and Tina saw him out of the door.

Cory only had one son, a son he left behind in the slum, who never seemed to obey him. However, he had no choice, as Corentin was his only son.

The mention of grandchildren reminded Cory of Anne.

Chapter 1077

Anne was still his granddaughter by blood, and they could be closer.

Whenever Cory thought of Anne, he would be reminded of Nigel, his eldest son, who did not care for him at all, and would often be overwhelmed by sorrow.

Tina watched as the car drove away and said to the maid beside her, “Did you hear

him? Elder Lloyd likes this child and asked me to take care of it! Now! you should know who’s going to be the future Mrs. Lloyd in this mansion, right? There can’t be two mistresses here in one house, so you should know what to do next.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Ashlynn finished watching a movie and started to feel hungry. She turned to check. the time and realized that it was almost noon.

‘Why hasn’t anyone sent me lunch? Did they forget about it?‘ she wondered.

Ashlynn glanced at her dog and got out of bed to carry it into the washroom before placing it on the toilet.

“Relieve yourself here. I can’t take you out right now.”

Her dog struggled to position itself on top of the toilet and relieved itself.

After it was done, she set it down on the ground and let it roam around the room freely, but lunch was still yet to be delivered.

She hopped her way to the door and spotted a maid walking over. “Is it lunchtime yet? I’m a bit hungry.”

“Just wait!” the maid said rudely before leaving.

‘Did I do something wrong to that maid?‘ she thought.

Half an hour passed before lunch was finally delivered, and the maid left as soon as she set the food down by the bed.

Ashlynn glanced at the tray and noticed that there was not a piece of meat in sight, and it was mostly plain pasta.

The feast she had been served since she arrived in the mansion seemed to have

transformed into the meals she used to have in the slum.

Ashlynn had been through enough to survive it and was too hungry to be picky, so she started eating regardless.

When dinner arrived in a similar manner, Ashlynn began to understand that Tina must have done something.

Tina was starting to let her ambitious side show, and with the child she was bearing, it was almost guaranteed that she would have wealth beyond imagination in the future.

Ashlynn–remained in her room alone and did not feel lonely at all, as she had her dog.

It was not until almost nine at night that Corentin returned home, smelling like liquor. He held her and moved closer for a kiss. “Is your ankle better today?”

“Better… Go shower!” She was appalled by the smell.

“You still have to love me even if I smell.” He devoured her lips regardless.

Ashlynn flushed and felt the world spinning before her eyes after the kiss.

“You are getting drunk from the kiss alone?”

She shot him a cold look as she panted.

“I heard that the old twat came by today. Did he say anything to you?” Corentin asked.

“I don’t know. I was in the room and didn’t see him.”

“You don’t know about it, but I do. He’s here to visit his grandson!”

“That’s going to be his eldest grandson. It’s nice.”

“Wrong. His eldest grandson died.”

Ashlynn’s chest tightened but remained expressionless as she looked away. “Go get a shower. I’m getting dizzy from the way you smell.”

He planted another kiss on her lips before heading into the bathroom.

In the end, she did not mention a word about the ‘special treatment‘ she received in the mansion to Corentin until he fell asleep with her in his arms.

Chapter 1078

The next morning, breakfast did not come, and lunch was skipped as well.

At five in the afternoon, Ashlynn stumbled down the stairs to grab food on her own. She was exhausted and drenched in sweat when she was on the first floor.

“Why are you down here, Ashlynn? I thought your leg was injured.” Tina walked over.

“I’m worried that the servants will forget about delivering food to me again, so I came down to eat.” Ashlynn turned toward the dining room.

“Hang on.” Tina blocked her way. “You should head back upstairs, Ashlynn! If something happens to your leg, you are going to cause Mr. Lloyd more trouble, and he will be upset.”

“He’s the one who’s going to be upset. Who are you to say anything about this?”

“Why you…” Upset, Tina continued, ‘Ashlynn, you have no power here, and you won’t get anywhere with just a pretty little face. I advise that you stay out of my way, or I will make Mr. Lloyd chase you out.”

“Impressive. Why don’t you try? I’m excited to see how it turns out.” Ashlynn shoved her aside.

“Ah!” Tina was startled as she had not expected Ashlynn to push her. Thankfully, the maid behind steadied her. “How dare you push me, Ashlynn? Don’t you know that I’m pregnant with Mr. Lloyd’s child? If something happens to the future heir of the Lloyd Family, you will suffer for it!”

Ashlynn ignored her and continued to move toward the dining room.

Enraged from being ignored, Tina reached out to grab Ashlynn’s hair, but before she could touch Ashlynn…

“What are you doing?”

The dark voice startled Tina, and she immediately dropped her hand.

Ashlynn turned around in confusion and looked at Corentin, who appeared furious. She glanced at the terrified look on Tina’s face and realized that Tina must have been trying to do something to her when she was not looking.

Corentin walked over and glared at Tina. “Are you deaf?”

“I… I was about to help Ashlynn out. I didn’t want her to fall,” Tina explained hastily.

“Get back into your room.” He narrowed his eyes dangerously.

“But… I haven’t eaten…” Her voice faded toward the end of her sentence as the anger in Corentin’s eyes intensified. She turned around and left the living room before entering her room.

Ashlynn watched as Tina left and was lifted off her feet before she could respond.

“Don’t…”

“Who told you to come down here? I told you to eat in your room.” Corentin carried her into the dining room and placed her on a chair before scanning the servants around them. “Did no one deliver food to you?”

All the servants kept their heads bowed, not daring to say a word.

“They did,” Ashlynn said.

Tina was furious when she returned to her room.

‘Why did he send me back to my room? I am the one who’s pregnant with the heir of the Lloyd Family! I’m the most important woman here!‘ she thought.

When the maid brought the food inside, Tina flipped the tray without hesitation in rage.

“How do you expect me to eat? I don’t have an appetite!”

The maid did not respond and simply headed out to the dining room. “Mr. Lloyd, Ms. Sparks threw the food away and said that she doesn’t have an appetite.”

“Let her starve, then,” he said.

“She’s pregnant with your child. Don’t do that.” Ashlynn turned to the maid. “Send her another set of meals.”

“Yes.” The maid headed into the kitchen.

Corentin shot the butler a look, and the butler went into the kitchen as well.

“You seem to care a lot about this child, huh?” His expression darkened.

“The child is innocent,” she said emotionlessly.

Furious, Corentin narrowed his eyes and grabbed her wrist before pulling her closer.

“Ow…” She could not react in time and fell forward.

“We will see if it really is innocent.”

Ashlynn did not understand what he was referring to but sensed that there was something odd about Corentin.

‘Maybe I’m just paranoid…‘ she thought.

Meanwhile, Tina was starting to worry if her tantrum would upset Corentin when the maid delivered another set of meals inside. She instantly confirmed that she still mattered to Corentin.

‘That’s right. If he doesn’t care about the baby and me, why would he arrange a room downstairs specifically for me? Why would he make me beauty collagen drinks. every day and order the maid to send in another set of meals? Even if I bully Ashlynn, he will not do anything to me.‘

Past midnight, Tina jolted awake in pain. She tried laying on her back or side, but the pain simply intensified.

“Somebody…” She got up and reached out for the lights. However, no one came inside, even after she managed to turn on the lights.

“Is there someone out there? Are you all dead or something?!” Tina cursed, but there was still no response.

Suddenly, she felt liquid sliding down her thighs. She lifted the blanket and was terrified when she saw blood. “Wh…Why is there so much blood? S…Somebody! Someone, help me!”

No one responded to her wails, no matter how loud she screamed.

She struggled to get out of bed but collapsed onto the ground as soon as her feet touched the ground. She resorted to crawling toward the door when the door finally opened.

Thinking that someone was here to help, she said, “I’m bleeding, take me… take me…. She looked up and saw Corentin . “Mr. Lloyd, I might be in labor. Please… Please take me to the hospital…”

“You are just five months pregnant, and you are already in labor?” Corentin strolled toward her before placing his foot on her stomach and adding pressure onto it.

“Mr. Lloyd? Mr. Lloyd… Why?”

“You should have left with the money after sleeping with me. Who gave you the right to show up here?” he asked.

“But… But it’s your child I’m bearing…”

“Even so, I won’t accept it.” He narrowed his eyes dangerously like a monster lurking in the dark. “Do you really think I’m unaware of what you’ve been doing in this mansion? How dare you?”

“No… No… Ahhhh!!!”

Ashlynn woke from her sleep and noticed that she was alone in bed.

‘Where’s Corentin? It doesn’t sound like he’s in the room,‘ she thought.

Just as she was confused, she heard the faint sound of the door opening. Corentin walked into the bedroom and saw that Ashlynn was awake. “Is your leg hurting again?”

“No. I just woke up…” Ashlynn was not certain as to why she woke up all of a sudden but did not bother asking where Corentin had been. He was either in the study room or with Tina, and the latter was more likely. All she wanted was for Tina to give birth so that she could divorce Corentin and leave Athetin.

She would soon be free in five months.

“You can’t sleep without me?” Corentin got into bed and pulled her closer.

“You are reading too much into it,” she said coldly.

Chapter 1079

Corentin held her and placed a hand over her stomach. “Once your ankle is better, I’ll take you to the hospital for a check–up.”

She panicked and said, “Tina is already pregnant with your child. What’s the hurry?”

He chuckled. “Go to sleep.”

The next morning, Ashlynn noticed that her breakfast had resumed to the luxurious version it was before.

‘Why, though?‘ she thought. She knew that Tina was the reason behind her missing meals. The maids had failed to deliver breakfast to her the day before, and Ashlynn was prepared to experience worse.

At noon, lunch was as rich as ever; the plates were piled up with a big amount of food that she would not be able to finish even if she ate consistently for three days. Feeling more and more suspicious, she asked, “Is Tina eating downstairs?”

The maid hesitated to answer.

“What happened?” Ashlynn asked.

“Ms. Sparks had severe stomach pain last night, and I heard that she was bleeding, too. They rushed her to the hospital last night,” the maid said.

Shocked, Ashlynn asked, “What? How did that happen?”

“I don’t know. She was experiencing discomfort at night, and because it was in the middle of the night, we did not notice her condition until it was too late. It looked quite bad.”

‘Bad? So she might lose her baby?‘ Ashlynn thought.

“Which hospital?” she asked.

“Oasis Hospital.” The maid was present when Tina was rushed to the hospital and overheard the butler saying the name of the hospital.

The maid exited the room, and Ashlynn instantly lost her appetite, wondering how this could happen.

Remembering that she woke up to an empty bed and Corentin was nowhere to be found the night before, she took a few more mindless bites of her food before going downstairs.

The butler hurried over anxiously. “Ms. Thompson, just let us know if you need something.”

‘Why didn’t you act this nervous when Tina tried to hurt me two days ago?‘ Ashlynn thought sarcastically.

“I need to go out.” She insisted, and the maid followed her into the car. Once she closed the door, she commanded the driver, “Go to the Oasis Hospital.”

The driver started the car, and the maid helped Ashlynn into the hospital once they arrived.

They had to go to the reception to find out which room Tina was admitted to. They arrived at the room, there were two beds, with one empty and Tina on the other, looking as pale as a ghost.

When she saw Ashlynn, Tina, burst into tears and pointed at Ashlynn. “It’s your fault, you b*tch! I wouldn’t have lost my baby if it wasn’t for you! Give me my son back!”

Ashlynn did not argue. She was not offended and simply felt sympathetic.

She remembered when she woke up to the news that she had lost her child and knew just how painful that was. She consoled herself later on that perhaps it was the gods‘ will to prevent her from giving birth to the child of someone as twisted and evil as Salvatore.

Tina’s cries echoed within the room, and Ashlynn could tell that she really cared about her unborn child, whether it was because the father was Corentin or that Tina was simply mourning the loss of her own child.

“I have nothing to do with this, right? You were the one who’s been playing tricks behind my back. You fed chocolate to my dog, tried throwing it into the river filled with crocodiles, and told the maids to delay or even skip the meals that were supposed to be delivered to me. I don’t think I’m falsely accusing you, am I?”

Ashlynn had never confronted Tina, but it did not mean that she was blind to what had happened. Ever since Tina arrived at the mansion, accidents had never ceased.

Chapter 1080

“That’s why Mr. Lloyd did this to me!”

“What did he do to you?”

Terror filled Tina’s face when she thought back to the night before. “I was asleep. when I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I was bleeding, but even when I called out for help, no one came. Mr. Lloyd came inside the room afterward and stepped on my stomach until I lost my baby… How is this not your fault?”

Ashlynn held her breath and felt her blood running cold as she pictured the scene. It was so gory and cruel, and she could never imagine how Corentin was capable of such an act.

Tina rubbed her stomach sorrowfully. “I didn’t know whose child this was and thought that I would just give birth to it anyway. After all, it’s mine, but I underestimated the cost of having a child, and I soon ran out of options. I returned to the bar to find out who the man was because I wanted to protect my child…”

Unable to bear it any longer, Ashlynn left hastily despite the pain in her ankle.

“Ms. Thompson, slow down. You are injured. Let me help you out…” The maid immediately grabbed her arm.

Ashlynn went outside and realized that she was not at the entrance but in one of the gardens in the hospital.

She sat down on a bench and stared ahead blankly with tears in her eyes while the maid stood behind her, not daring to whisper a single word.

Shortly after, the maid turned around and noticed a black Bently rushing through the traffic and stopping by the road. When she spotted the figure stepping out of the car, she immediately bowed her head respectfully.

Corentin walked over and scanned the maid, causing her to anxiously lower her head.

He stood before Ashlynn and reached for her hand. “Let’s go home.”

She jolted away from his touch furiously and said, “Go wash your hands! They stink of blood!”

Corentin’s hands were clean, and he knew what she meant as he realized she had discovered the truth about Tina losing her baby.

“You put something in that drink you have served to her every day, didn’t you?” Ashlynn questioned sharply.

“She shouldn’t have gotten pregnant.” Corentin did not deny it.

She looked up with disbelief. “Even if that’s true, you are the one who got her pregnant. She can’t get pregnant on her own. Why are you blaming her for a mistake that both of you made? No matter what, the baby is already five months old. It’s practically a human being. How could… How could you do such a thing? Why did you have to be so cruel? Are you even human, Corentin Lloyd? That’s your son!”

“So you are saying that I’m supposed to accept it simply because she’s pregnant with my son?” Corentin crouched down and grabbed her by the jaw as he narrowed his eyes viciously. “I didn’t need it! Are you this angry because this reminds you of our dead son, or are you mourning the loss of your chance to freedom? Did you really allow yourself to believe that once she gives birth, you will manage to get away?” Provoked, she trembled as she felt her heart shattering into pieces like a flower in a rainstorm. Ashlynn stood and shoved Corentin away with all her might. “I’m not living with a monster

like you! You should just check yourself into an asylum!” With that, she stumbled away from him, determined to leave Corentin and the hell he was in.

No… I don’t want him! How can I save myself? How can I escape this nightmare?” she screamed in her mind.

Corentin lifted her up from behind.

“Let me go! Don’t touch me!” She resisted hysterically, but Corentin still managed to shove her into the car.

She pressed her body against the window and refused to look at him as though one look would send her over the edge.
