Then she asked, “Sonny, are you seeing anyone yet? You really should start thinking about it. You’re not getting any younger. When your father was your age, you were already in kindergarten.”
Setting down his glass of water, Sonny replied, “Grandma, I haven’t met anyone I truly like yet. There’s no rush. I can still get married before I’m thirty-five.”
Every time Sonny came to the Brown family home for dinner, his grandmother inevitably brought up his love life. By now, he was used to it.
At thirty-two, many people his age were already married with children, while he was still single and had never even been in a relationship.
