Life After Prison Chapter 2001-When Severin entered Pearl Light Isle, he observed Emery’s movements with his divine senses and sa Emery following him in with the token in hand. His previous wariness of Emery’s master, Daniella, had reduced slightly because Emery had entered out of her volution. The distinction between coercion and voluntary action were two different things, and it was not the place of any outsider to comment on that.

After withdrawing his divine senses, Severin smiled to himself and thought, ‘Hmm… Emery is going to be very useful in helping to craft sixth–grade low rank and medium–rank pills. That’ll help me to focus on making a breakthrough to seventh grade alchemist” Severin was motivated by the prospect. Though his elevated status as the sixth core disciple sparked many an envious glance from the ordinary disciples, he knew all too well that his responsibilities continued to grow. His days were spent either training, polishing his combat techniques, or creating pills to secure a much anticipated breakthrough to seventh–grade alchemist. In the past, he had some spare time after seclusion to help craft pills for Diane and the others.

However, he had another responsibility to shoulder after agreeing to Myles‘ request. Aside from training and making a breakthrough to a seventh grade alchemist so he could prepare for floors eight and nine of the Alcherry Tower, he also had to find heptagold energy for the Sky–Soil Heptagold Sword Energy technique in addition to tutoring the Seventh Mountain’s disciples:

Severin could already feel a headache coming on with all those tasks. Emery’s arrival offered a timely solution whereby he could delegate some responsibilities to her and leverage her past status at the Sixth Mountain. Once Emery took charge of refining sixth–grade pills, Severin could focus on becoming a seventh–grade alchemist.

Meanwhile, Emery remained oblivious to Severin’s plan to make her his free labor. As she followed the formation into the island, the ethereal mist and rich spiritual energy all around created an almost dream- like atmosphere. The energy from all around her seemed to flow into her body with every breath that she took.

She was a little shaken with awe as she looked at the spiritually–dense air, the lush trees, and the abundance of herbs growing like weeds by the pathway. “I can’t believe my eyes. Do all the core disciples get this sort of island to live in?

The energy here is so much denser than back at the sixth mountain!” As Emery calmed herself down and followed Severin into the courtyard garden, she had to do a double take at Diane and his other wives. Their beauty was on par with that of Celeste’s, and she could not help but feel inferior to them despite being dubbed the second most beautiful woman from the Sixth Mountain. “I don’t think anyone can be as beautiful as they are…” Diane, Gilda, Sofia, and Sheila were so exquisitely beautiful in every aspect, and even Celeste would start 1/7 +15 BONUS As Severin led her to the courtyard garden, his wives noticed Emery’s presence.

They knew her as the woman who challenged Severin to a contest at the Alchemy Tower, and they had been cheering for Severin to defeat her too. Her fall from grace and maid–like uniform raised questions. Diane, in particular, blinked at Severin and asked, “Why is she dressed like that?”

Life After Prison Chapter 2002-“She’ll be my maid from now on,” Severin said openly. His straightforward response came as a bit of a surprise to them. Though they knew of Emery’s earlier bet, they hardly expected her to hold on to her word and become his maid.

The usually mediative Gilda voiced her concern. “Having her become a maid doesn’t seem like a particularly good idea.” Doing so might bring disgrace to the Sixth Mountain if word got out. Severin understood the reasons behind her concern and reassured her with a smile.

Emery, on the other hand, offered her reassurance to Gilda. “It’s just a bet. I lost to Severin, and it is my obligation to fulfill my end of the bet.” The firmness in her reply helped reassure them that she seemed to have done it out of her own free will.

They all got up and approached Emery. As the first wife, Diane had a caring character that could set everyone at ease. She smiled and suggested, “Don’t think of yourself as a maid.

Just make yourself comfortable as one of us,” Gilda and Sheila agreed with Diane and expressed their views as well. “She’s the Sixth Mountain’s prodigy.

Severin! Don’t you think it’ll reflect badly on everyone if she becomes our maid?” Emery was was touched when they treated her as an equal rather than a maid. Though she had to build up the courage to fulfill her end of the bet, she would be lying if she said she was not embarrassed or afraid.

Their words thus came as a welcome reassurance.

Severin smiled at their interaction and retrieved the materials for the Crystal Spring Pill. He then told Emery. “My wives have made their case, so you don’t have to take on the traditional duties of a maid. All you have to do is make pills for them.” “That’s good with me!” Emery kept the materials away and agreed without hesitation.

Diane and the girls were pleased with the arrangement. “It just so happens that we’ve used up the Crystal Spring Pills that Severin previously made for us. We’ll be looking forward to your pills then.” “Yeah. We finished about seven or eight of them after our breakthrough the other day.” Emery was surprised by their casual consumption of the Crystal Spring Pills.

She looked at Diane in disbelief, then turned to Severin and asked, “Seven or eight of them? It’s like candy!” In her mind, the Crystal Spring Pill was one of the most treasured pills in the sect. Elite disciples generally did not have the privilege of getting much, If at all.

Even someone in her privileged position could only get +15 BONUS H imagined that anyone would be eating the pills like candy! Then again, she soon realized that they had such a luxury due to Severin’s alchemical prowess.

Life After Prison Chapter 2003-The extreme shock on Emery’s face elicited a giggle from Diane and the other girls. Diane, as the eldest among them, stood up and said, “It’s all thanks to Severin. We wouldn’t have been able to make such quick breakthroughs without his alchemy skills.” Gilda and the others nodded wholeheartedly upon hearing that. Though they had the privilege of residing on Pearl Light Isle, the training resources they received followed the standard given to normal disciplestwo sixth–grade low–rank pills each month and a few spiritual stones. Breaking through to the fourth level of Supreme Saint with such limited resources was difficult, if not nearly impossible.

Emery had already predicted yet, and she looked at the girls with envy.

Consuming sixth–grade pills like candy was a luxury beyond imagination, and one that would surely leave everyone else outside of Pearl Light Isle in shock. Lucky for Emery, she was able to calm herself down quickly as a result of her experience.

She then observed that Diane and the girls had reached level four supreme saint within half a year. They were brimming with energy, and they had a very solid foundation too. When Emery first joined, she was only able to make a breakthrough to level two supreme saint within half a year.

As a result, even she–an apprentice of Daniella–could not help but envy the girls‘ surging level four supreme saint aura.

After putting away the Crystal Spring Pill Severin handed her, Emery remarked to Diane, “You just joined the sect half a year ago, right?” “Yes,” Diane replied in some confusion.

Emery glanced at Severin with a mix of despair and emotion. “Making a breakthrough to level four supreme saint in just six months is a feat that will have our fellow disciples jealous.” Diane downplayed their achievements. ‘You’re being too kind. It’s not that big a deal. I’m sure plenty people in the sect are stronger than us Emery was speechless when she heard Diane saying that it was not a big deal.

She was about to say something more when Severin interjected. “Well, since you’re now our maid, I’ll leave the crafting of Crystal Spring Pills to you. If you’re stuck on anything and need help, feel free to ask me any questions.” “Understood,” Emery answered. Severin nodded in satisfaction.

Though Emery had Initially been uneasy around Diane and the others, she gradually settled in with them after getting to know them better. That being said, she still diligently tackled the tasks that Severin had.

Following several days of hard work, she could finally heave a sigh of relief as she said, “I succeeded!” Emery’s alchemical progress had been hampered after her loss to Severin, and she was so traumatized by her defeat that she butchered her subsequent crafting sessions rather frequently. Surprisingly, fulfilling herbet and becoming Severin’s maid seemingly helped her deal with the trauma of losing. The crafting process went so smoothly that she was rather surprised by it. Though the success of the Crystal Spring Pill remained at a low rate of 30 percent, Emery felt content with her accomplishment.

Life After Prison Chapter 2004-During the period where she had to grapple with her inner trauma, maintaining even a thirty percent success rate with the sixth–grade low–rank Crystal Spring Pill was challenging. Several cauldrons nearly burnt to the point of being unusable during the refinement period.

“I’ll be back to my best again if this continues!” Emery thought. Her remaining resentment toward Severin had dissipated. After doing a stretch, she carefully sealed the dozen or so Crystal Spring Pills in a box.

Upon completing the task, she opened the door and entered the garden courtyard. There, she found Severin and others lounging on chairs and reading books. Emery approached them and handed the book, saying. “Here are the pills.” Severin put aside his guidebook to the places outside of Southsky and took the box. He opened it to find fifteen Crystal Spring Pills inside. After a brief inspection, he frowned and closed the box. He tossed it to Diane and the girls before remarking. “The quality isn’t good enough, and the success rate is rather low too. You’re a prodigy! Why does it seem to take so much effort to craft these Crystal Spring Pills?” Severin expressed his views and was very dissatisfied with the outcome. He noted the mediocre–quality. of most pills, the prevalence of impurities, and a low success rate with only two superior–quality pills.

Emery was anxious when she heard that. Before she could say anything.

Severin added, “I’ll teach you.” He then began sharing his experience and insights into refining the Crystal Spring Pill. As a sixth–grade. high–rank alchemist who had received the knowledge passed down by the Alchemy Tower, Severin’s guidance could elevate a junior alchemist’s understanding by a lot and impart some inspiration to them.

Emery’s initial feelings of humiliation transformed into shock and excitement as Severin provided insights. into his experience with the Crystal Spring Pill.

Though she was initially unclear about certain aspects of the crafting process, Emery soon understood its principles with Severin’s guidance. She exclaimed in gratefulness, “I see! I didn’t expect the pill could be crafted like that! Thank you for your guidance!” At that moment, she had finally been given a peek into Severin’s formidable alchemical ability. Emery recalled the jealousy she once harbored when Severin entered the Alchemy Tower a year ago. Back then, he was only a sixth–grade alchemist who could produce sixth–grade low–rank pills åt most. However, it took him only two months to achieve the remarkable feat of creating the elite– quality Crystal Spring Pill. Three months later, the entire sect was shaken when he reached the seventh floor of the Alchemy Tower.

Emery initially chalked his successes to luck, but she gained a true understanding of his abilities after receiving his guidance. Though she was previously limited to a 30 percent success rate with the Crystal Spring Pill, that changed when Severin pointed out her past errors. She was eager to try again because she believed that she could achieve a steady 50 percent to 60 percent success rate.

Life After Prison Chapter 2005-After suppressing her excitement, Emery gestured respectfully to Severin and said, “I can’t help but wonder how far you’ve progressed in alchemy. I feel like I’ve been enlightened by your advice.” The excited look on Emery’s face led Severin to smile calmly. “I am making preparations to become a seventh–grade alchemist!” It had been nearly two months since he became a sixth–grade high–rank alchemist, and after digesting the knowledge passed down to him in the Alchemy Tower, Severin had a better idea of how he could become a seventh–grade alchemist. By his estimation, it would not be long until he achieved that.

Emery’s jaw dropped upon learning that Severin was already preparing to become a seventh–grade alchemist. As far as she knew, Severin was only a sixth–grade medium–rank alchemist when she lost to him in the contest. Seeing him about to be promoted to a seventh–grade alchemist gave her the impression that breakthroughs in alchemy came naturally to him!

As a prodigy of the Sixth Mountain, she was considered one of the more talented individuals, yet it had taken her nearly two years to progress from a fifth–grade high–rank alchemist to a sixth–grade alchemist. Considering her current progress as a sixth–grade medium–rank alchemist, she had no idea just how much time she would need to reach seventh–grade alchemist.

Perhaps coming to Pearl Light Isle was the correct decision!’ Emery thought to herself.

Emery’s silence made Severin wonder if she had any doubts, so he said, “Is there anything else you don’t understand?” “No, I’m good for now.” Emery shook her head after coming back to her senses.

Severin nodded and took out much alchemy material which he handed to Emery. “You’ll be required to prepare some Crystal Spring Pills once every fortnight.” Severin wanted Emery to craft more Crystal Spring Pills while he focused on his upcoming seclusion.

Emery heeded his request. “Understood As Emery was about to return to her living quarters, a sudden breeze that took mere seconds to escalate into a strong wind swept across Pearl Light Isle.

Gravel was lifted into the air, and a small mountain–sized vortex of spiritual energy appeared in the sky above Pearl Light Isle, accompanied by ominous clouds and thunderous winds.

A deafening thunderbolt’exploded, and a silver streak of lightning darted through the thick dark clouds. With every passing second, the clouds above Pearl Light Isle became thicker and thicker, blotting out the 12 garden.

H +15 BONUS Everyone recognized the phenomenon as a sign of an impending breakthrough, but the sheer intensity of the thunderstorm was thoroughly unprecedented ed the Severin, his wives, and Emery were the only ones not in seclusion, which begged the question of who could have caused such a dramatic breakthrough. How could an ordinary supreme saint trigger such a terrifying thunderstorm?

Severin directed his divine senses toward the bottom of the spiritual vortex.

There, he observed a small figure sitting cross–legged in a training groom surrounded by bursts of divine light. The figure could be likened to a black hole devouring the spiritual energy from the vortex, and the figure’s aura was now infinitely close to that of a supreme saint.

Severin stood up from his chair and said solemnly to Diane and his other wives, “Selene is going to make a breakthrough to supreme saint!” “What?!” Everyone was shocked

Life After Prison Chapter 2006-Every single one of Severin’s wives stood up one after another. Diane stared at the dark clouds blotting out the light as well as the thunderous aura contained within them. She might be a level four supreme saint, but she was still intimidated by the spectacle. As Selene’s mother, she could not help but ask anxiously, “Why would thunderbolts appear when Selene is merely making a breakthrough from royal saint to supreme saint?” Even Severin was a little puzzled by that. When he first broke through to level nine supreme saint to that of a paragon, the phenomena that occurred were limited only to a vortex of spiritual energy. There were no thunderbolts, as suggested there. However, Selene’s breakthrough made it appear as though the thunderbolts in the sky were some sort of heavenly retribution!

Emery stopped in her tracks as she was about to leave and offered some words of comfort as she looked at Diane’s anxious expression. “This is a good thing, and there’s nothing to be worried about!” After offering her reassurance, Emery immediately explained, “Judging by the situation, I believe that the person who made the breakthrough has awakened some extremely formidable talent that somehow doesn’t sit too well with the natural order. That’s why there were thunderbolts!” In all honestly, Emery was envious. Incongruence with heaven and earth was a sign that the person who made the breakthrough had received an incredibly terrifying talent! In the history of the Grandiuno Sect’s founding, only those practitioners who could incur such wrath of nature were the rumored predecessors of the sect.

Emery’s explanation made Diane more anxious than calm. “Please figure out a solution, Severin! Selene is still young! She’s only eight years old! We can’t let her receive such horrific punishment!” In Diane’s eyes, the divine punishment seemed to be such a terrifying force that she was unable to fathom how Selene could survive something like that at such a young age! Before long, Gilda, Sheila, and the Sofia panicked too.

Their flustered reaction prompted Severin to calm them down. “Don’t panic. I’ll make sure my daughter is fine.” He then proceeded to use his divine senses to envelope the room that Selene was in so he could monitor her situation.

Emery had originally wanted to congratulate Severin and others, but was given the shock of her life when she learned that Selene was only eight years old! Her pupils contracted in shock and she exclaimed.” Your daughter?! This person making this breakthrough is your eight–year–old daughter?” Seeing Emery’s startled look’drew anxious gazes from Diane and the other girls.

Severin answered blankly, “Yes. She’s eight years old.” 1/2 +15 BONUS Emery’s eyes widened and her jaw dropped. No words could describe her feelings after hearing that. It was unthinkable that an eight–year–old child could be on the verge of a breakthrough to supreme saint. All she could think to herself was, ‘There’s no limit to the genius here on Pearl Light Isle!

Severin had exceptional alchemy talent, extraordinary swordsmanship, and a Divine Constitution known as the Chaotic Constitution. The dark clouds were an unusual phenomenon, and it was likely that his daughter would end up getting something particularly formidable as well.

Life After Prison Chapter 2007-The increasingly terrifying occurrence gradually covered the sky above Pearl Light Isle. Every crackle of lightning and thunderbolts sent shockwaves within Emery’s heart. The revelation that Selene was eight years old echoed in her mind and left her stunned.

Who would have thought that an eight–year–old girl could become a supreme saint? If news got out, everyone in Southsky would be frothing at the mouth! By comparison, Emery had just started training at that age. Such a heaven–defying quality would place her as one of the best in the entire Grandiuno Sect!

The notion that something so young could become a supreme saint at such a young age was unprecedented, and only top geniuses from Midland were likely to achieve that!

Severin was unaware of Emery’s surprise and remained wholly focused on his daughter’s breakthrough.

The thunderbolts above Pearl Light Isle intensified and created something of a doomsday scene. Even the usually calm Severin could not help but worry for Selene. His divine senses enveloped Selene’s room and remained on the lookout for any disturbance that might hinder his daughter’s breakthrough.

As the terrifying phenomenon became more violent, all the disciples and elders in the Grand uno Sect were awakened. The Sixth Mountain was situated closest to Pearl Light Isle, and the blue–clad and angelic -looking Celeste sat in front of her cauldron. As soon as she noticed the dark clouds forming outside, her expression changed slightly and the materials inside her cauldron began to burn because she was distracted.

“Is this some kind of tribulation? Only the most talented of geniuses would face such tribulations when they make a breakthrough! Celeste murmured, speculating on Severin’s extraordinary talent. She left her charred herbs inside the pill and headed straight for Pearl Light Isle.

Daniella was initially planning to train in seclusion. She had been in a good mood lately after successfully counseling Emery. Though she knew that it would be embarrassing for outsiders to know that a prodigy. like Emery was serving Severin as a maid, Daniella was aware that Severin had received the knowledge passed down from the seventh floor of the Alchemy Tower.

She thus held hopes that he might be able to share some of that knowledge with Emery. If Emery were to serve Severin diligently and then ask for pointers on alchemy, Severin might be magnanimous enough to share some of that knowledge with her. That was precisely why she permitted Emery to go to Pearl Light Isle! Once Emery had received that knowledge and became an eighth– grade alchemist, Daniella would also benefit from that.

Daniella was deep in her fantasies when the phenomenon left her startled. The thick layer of dark clouds and flashes of lightning came as a surprise to Daniella.

“Is this a Thunderbolt Tribulation?” she exclaimed in disbel ef, recognizing it as a prelude of a highly talented genius.

+15 BONUS In her understanding, such extraordinary qualities were usually only limited to incredibly talented individuals in Midland. These people had golden lotuses in their energy core as well as the physique and bloodlines of immortality.

Curious and intrigued, Daniella hurriedly left the hall to find the source of the Thunderbolt Tribulation.

Life After Prison Chapter 2008-Daniella was somewhat stunned when she saw that the source was likely Pearl Light Isle. “Isn’t that the direction of Pearl Light Isle? Could Severin be the cause of the tribulations?” In Daniella’s mind, Severin’s qualities made him almost godlike, as he had the Chaos Consitution, was a prodigious alchemist, and had the ability of swordsmanship all combined into one. It was an exceedingly rare combination of the whole of Southsky, and the first core disciple–Karl–was probably the only person who could compare to Severin.

“If that young man awakens another talent, Southsky’s younger generation of disciples will idolize him,” Daniella mumbled to herself. After the wonder in her heart dissipated, she flew straight into the sky and transformed into a stream of light as she made her way toward Pearl Light Isle.

Many of the elders reacted in much the same way that Daniella did.

On the Seventh Mountain, Myles was busy instructing the disciples on swordsmanship when he noticed the calamitous–looking cloud over Pearl Light Isle. His pupils then shrank violently as he recognized it as the Thunderbolt Tribulation of heaven and earth. He was just as, if not more, shocked than Daniella. After a brief stupor, he regained his composure and flew away.

“Keep practicing. I’ll be returning soon.” He transformed into a rainbow and disappeared into the sky.

The emergence of the Thunderbolt Tribulation phenomenon shocked the entire Grandiuno Sect. Rowan of the Eighth Mountain stopped midway through his equipment crafting process and rushed toward Pearl Light Isle. Ingrid Sahil, the Ninth Mountain’s peak master, flew over in surprise as well. Every other peak master from the other mountains soon followed suit.

Even Oskar, the sect leader who had been in retreat on the First Mountain, was alerted while he was attuning himself to the power of heaven and earth surrounding the sect.

Royal paragons were able to attune themselves to the power of heaven and earth and use it while. simultaneously training their abilities. That was much unlike normal practitioners. As a royal paragon. himself, Oskar’s divine senses were so strong that he could sense even the tiniest movement of a blade of grass in the wind within a ten–thousand–mile radius of the sect.

The phenomenon over Pearl Light Isle disrupted the power of heaven and earth and drew Oskar’s immediate attention. In his surprise, he exclaimed, “Aren’t those calamitous clouds? Will our sect see the birth of yet another genius?” As the sect’s leader and an eighth–grade royal paragon, the prospect of that made it difficult to contain his excitement. Only a genius capable of triggering a Thunderbolt Tribulation could be considered an exceptional individual in Southsky.

+16 BONUS What a second… It’s from Pearl Light Iste?!” Upon seeing that the source was Pearl Light Isle, Oskar’s pupils contracted and his face was overcome with disbelief.

Life After Prison Chapter 2009-At that moment, Oskar was just about as surprised as Daniella and the others.

“Did Severin awaken yet another incredible talent?” Oskar believed that it was entirely possible. When Severin had accidentally awakened his swordwill in the Seventh Mountain’s Sword Tomb, it soared thousands of miles high into the sky and sliced through the air. It became the talk of many sect elders. Naturally, Oskar heard about that incident as well, as everything that happened in the Grandiuno Sect could never escape his perception.

He shifted his gaze away from the Thunderbolt Tribulation and stroked the beard on his chin. “This is interesting. Such a terrifying tribulation could only point toward a unique divine constitution or something similar to the immortal bloodline of Midland. I should go there and find out the cause of this.” In a swift, he left the area without a trace. Having such a talented person in the sect was a blessing, of course, but little did he know that the person who invoked the tribulation was the eight–year–old Selene! He probably would not be as calm as he was then if he knew!

At the courtyard on Pearl Light Isle, Severin raised his head and stared solemnly at the clouds in the sky. Diane and the girls were starting to panic, especially Diane, who was worried about Selene having to face such a calamity.

The aura emanating from the clouds carried the vast power of heaven and earth, and even though the phenomenon was not directly facing them, the aura leaking out was something that none of the level four supreme saints could defend against.

“Why hasn’t Selene come out yet? Did something happen?” Diane asked.

Seeing that Diane was starting to panic, Severin walked over and comforted her with a hug. “Don’t worry, the meridians on Selene’s body are almost fully activated, and it won’t be long before she comes out.” Although Severin was also worried about whether his daughter could survive the tribulation, his divine senses kept a close watch on Selene’s safety. He was prepared to take action as soon as something went awry!

Not long later, Selene’s aura made a sudden breakthrough to supreme saint, just as Severin had predicted. After Selene made the breakthrough to supreme saint, she consolidated the spiritual energy in her energy core and then went out to face the tribulation.

Relief washed over with Diane as she looked at her daughter emerging from the door. She asked concernedly, “Are you okay?” Selene’s face was full of excitement and she said softly, “I’m fine. I just made a breakthrough to supreme saint!” She said, raising her little arms to show off the surging spiritual energy in her body.

Diane could not help but laugh when she saw Selene waiting to be praised.

“Good job, Selene.” +15 BONUS Selene beamed with youthful joy after being praised. With seemingly no end to their conversation, Severin came forth and said, “Let’s continue after Selene passes the tribulation.” Severin then turned to Selene and said. “Take this Greenwood Pill to protect yourself during the tribulation. He then took out an essence–rich Greenwood Pill from his spatial ring and handed it over to

Life After Prison Chapter 2010-The Greenwood Pill was a sixth–grade high–rank pill known to be one of the best healing pills among all sixth–grade healing pills. Severin had previously crafted it after receiving the knowledge from the Alchemy Tower and prepared it just in case it was needed in the future.

The Greenwood Pill contained an abundance of life’s essence, and even those who were on the verge of death could be saved from death’s door. After giving the Greenwood Pill to Selene, Severin still felt worried and decided to hand his defensive spiritual treasure–the Darkgold Bell– and handed it to his precious daughter. “Take my Darkgold Bell. It’ll protect you.” The Darkgold Bell was a spiritual treasure that had qualities of both attack and defense. The energy inside of it formed the vitality of heaven and earth, and ordinary attacks were useless in breaking through 1. it. Although the Thunderbolt Tribulation in front of him was turbulent, Severin was confident that Selene could safely survive it.

Severin’s confidence stemmed from his knowledge that there was only one bout of tribulation. Ordinary practitioners will almost never invoke such tribulation before breaking through to the royal paragon, and even then, there would usually only be three Thunderbolt Tribulations.
