Life After Prison Chapter 1991-After Myles arrived, he glanced at the sparsely gathered Seventh Mountain disciples and paid no more attention to them, because he sensed that the genius who gave birth to a new swordwill was not among them. He then smiled and cupped his hands towards him and said, “Greetings Mister Myles.” Myles looked surprised to see Severin there. He did not expect to meet the sixth core disciple in Sword Tomb. He thought Severin was a promising young man.
In fact, he would have wanted him as his disciple if he had not been a core disciple.
When Severin broke through the seventh floor of Alchemy Tower, causing the tower to emit strange visions, Myles personally arrived at the sky above the square and gave Severin a gift as a token of friendship.

He thought to himself, ‘We entered the sect just over half a year ago, but it seems that Diane is already on the cusp of a breakthrough to level four supreme saint. Ever since Severin gained fame in the Grandiuno Sect by clearing the first six floors in the Alchemy Tower, he had become the object of admiration for many female disciples across the mountains.
In the eyes of those disciples, Severin was the epitome of perfection–he was the sect’s sixth core disciple, a prodigious alchemist, and someone who possessed the Chaos Constitution. Those qualities, coupled with Severin’s handsome appearance, had many female disciples pining secretly for him. Had Severin been single, he might have found himself visited by those admirers all the time.
Many of the female disciples were thus even more jealous after learning that his wives were the ones who had made a breakthrough. According to the standard for elite disciples, those who had talent were mostly able to reach level three supreme saint within the first year of entering the sect. The male disciples reflected on their hurdles after remaining stagnant at level two or level three supreme saint despite years of toil. The uncertainty of when they might have a breakthrough fueled their jealousy even more.
Meanwhile, Severin remained oblivious to the restlessness of the disciples on the Fifth and Sixth Mountains. His focus was on protecting his four wives. The strong winds on Pearl Light Isle persisted until the next day, gradually dissipating as the sun descended. When all four women had successfully made a breakthrough, Severin breathed a sigh of relief.

She knew that Severin’s intervention had helped in ensuring that the supply of spiritual energy within the island remained constant. Higher attainment levels demanded more spiritual energy from heaven and earth, which would make it difficult for them to secure a breakthrough if that flow was interrupted. As level four supreme saints, they were considered to fall within the top ranks of elite disciples.
After Diane thanked him on behalf of the girls, Severin stepped forward and pinched her cheeks slightly.

He assumed that Emery might try to keep whatever remained of her dignity and refrain from bringing it up again, lest she incur the wrath of Daniella, her mentor and the Sixth Mountain’s peak master.
Severin thus chose to ignore the bet that he made, and Emery’s unexpected arrival naturally caught Severin by surprise.
Life After Prison Chapter 1999-Surprised by what he heard, Severin soared up from his chair and flew out of Pearl Light Isle as soon as he heard Emery’s voice echoing outside the island.
As he stepped out of the island’s protective formation, Severin’s attention was drawn to the sight of a captivating woman. Her graceful figure was clothed in a pure white robe that complemented her peachy face. Like a flower unsullied by the soil that it grows on, she emanated a prominent and serene aura that captivated anyone.
Severin stood suspended in the air upon seeing Emery. He gazed at her and suggested, “Let’s call off the bet we made, Emery. It’s not something that we ought to be taking too seriously.
Having won the tournament against Emery and obtained the Pristine Spirit Pill and its recipe, Severin faced much animosity from Daniella, who tended to be very protective of her student. To avoid any potential conflicts, Severin decided to forgo Emery’s unfulfilled part of the bet.
Emery, however, seemed offended by his suggestion. She clenched her jaw and shot him an angry glare as she pouted, “What are you implying? Do I look like a sore loser to you?” Tears welled up in Emery’s eyes, and her expression was a complex mix of sadness. She had considered herself a superior alchemist–even to Celeste–and believed that Celeste’s position as fifth core disciple would be hers if not for Celeste’s Forest Constitution. Daniella’s coddling only fueled her ego even more.
Losing to Severin in the tournament was too big a blow to Emery, and she had struggled to accept the outcome. I Priding herself as the second prodigy among the sect’s alchemists, Emery’s arrogance grew particularly because she was backed by the support of a seventh–grade alchemist like Daniella. During the two months, her defeat to Severin became a source of trauma and nightmares, thus hindering Emery’s progress. It was only later that she heard about Severin reaching the seventh floor of the Alchemy Tower, and that was when she was finally able to let go of her arrogance. Even Celeste was unable to reach the seventh floor, so Severin’s ability to achieve that feat could only mean that his talent surpassed everyone–even Celeste.
When Daniella returned to the Sixth Mountain, she could only sigh when she saw Emery’s breakdown.

Confused by Emery’s reaction, Severin scratched his head and asked, “Does this mean you’re insistent on becoming my maid?” After a moment of bewilderment, he looked at Emery. “Are you serious?” Emery gritted her teeth and replied coldly, “I lost the bet. I’ll become your maid!” Emery’s determination elicited a nod from Severin as he produced a jade token from his pocket and tossed it to her. “Okay then. You’ll officially become Pearl Light Isle’s maid from today onward. Here’s the token you can use to access the island,” he said before promptly returning to the island in apparent Ignorance of Emery’s expression.
With the token in hand, Emery’s expression reflected a mix of her hesitation, unwillingness, and humiliation. She stood rooted to the ground and watched as Severin’s figure vanished from sight. In the end, she gritted her teeth and said, “I’m here already. Why else should I hesitate? Master told me that Severin was the most talented alchemist the sect had seen in the past ten thousand years.
He might have already gained that knowledge passed down from the Alchemy Tower. I hope I won’t regret this decision.” Emery clutched the token in her hand and pursed her lips as she entered Pearl Light Isle with determination.
