Elena’s expression froze, her good mood gone in an instant.

“Hmph.” She let out a cold snort. “Wren, worry about yourself. I’ll do whatever I want. Since when is it your place to tell me what to do?”

With Cecilia standing right there, Wren’s face darkened.

“How did you become like this?” he said quietly, then turned and walked away, hands clasped behind his back.

The moment he left, Elena spun back to Cecilia.

“Ceci, come on. Let’s go see Robert.”

Cecilia had no reason to refuse.
