“That’s impossible. I know Jon’s character better than anyone. He’s always helping his classmates. Forget hitting someone—I’ve never even seen him argue with anyone.”
The way she defended Jon sent a chill through Miranda’s eyes.
“Teacher, didn’t you just say you’d handle this fairly? Then why are you already taking his side when he’s the one who hit someone?”
Daniel’s expression stiffened.
It wasn’t favoritism—she simply couldn’t believe Jon would do something like that.
“Ms. Miranda, do you have any proof? If not, we shouldn’t wrongly accuse a child.”
