To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1231-As If!

Jenny didn't mind her antics; she was worried about Alec.

Stephanie drank the soup and casually commented, "It looks like your mom is doing her best to treat you well. She's trying her best to make up for the lost time with you."

"I don't need her to make it up to me." Jenny shook her head and continued, "I don't need her to feel like she owes me anything."

"That's how you think, but she may not think that way," Stephanie replied casually, savoring the soup and relishing the taste on her tongue.

Jenny rolled her eyes at Stephanie. ’Is it good?"

"It's delicious!" Stephanie nodded and asked, "Do you want a sip?"

"No, thanks." Jenny shook her head. As a doctor, she knew better than anyone to follow medical advice.

Stephanie had another serving before putting the thermos back where it had been. "So, what do you want me to help you with?"

Although Jenny hadn't said anything yet, Stephanie could tell she wanted her to help with something.

Jenny smiled at her. ’Can you help me find a wheelchair and take me to see Alec?"

"I knew it!" Stephanie rolled her eyes at her. She could already guess Jenny's intention before she even asked.

"Cut the nonsense. Will you help or not?" Jenny wasn't shy with Stephanie in the slightest; in fact, she was quite bossy. Given their solid friendship, Jenny was sure Stephanie wouldn't refuse.

Stephanie looked at her for a moment and finally nodded helplessly. "Okay, I'll go now."

"That's more like it. Who else can I rely on if not my best friend?’ Jenny smiled, feeling much better now that she knew she could go and see Alec.

Stephanie didn't say anything; she just rolled her eyes at Jenny once more. She left the ward and came back with a wheelchair. "Let's go. I'll take you to see him."

She understood Jenny well. If she couldn't see Alec, she probably wouldn't be able to rest. Since that was the case, she might as well take her to see him so that she could get some actual rest later.

Stephanie struggled to lift Jenny from the bed and put her in the wheelchair before pushing her toward the ICU.

When they reached there, Jenny saw Vincent standing guard at the door.

"Miss Walter," Vincent greeted, surprised to see her.

His gaze fell on her wheelchair, and he quickly understood what was going on.

"Mr. Faust's condition is currently stable, and he should be fine. You should get some rest."

"I know. I just wanted to come and take a look." Everyone told her to rest well, but knowing that Alec got hurt so severely because he shielded her from the impact, how could she rest?

Stephanie pushed her to the door of the ICU. Because the window on the door was at a standing eye level, Jenny couldn't see anything while sitting in a wheelchair.

"Steph, can you help me up?" She still wanted to stand up and take a look.

Stephanie was helpless, but she had to help Jenny stand up so that she could see Alec.

Right then, Alec was still wearing an oxygen mask, but from the monitoring machine, Jenny could see that all his vital signs were stable. Breathing a sigh of relief, she sat back in her wheelchair.

"Vincent, can you tell me what happened after the collision? Who brought us to the hospital?" She wasn't in a mood to ask about all these. But after she saw that Alec was fine, she could direct her energy toward figuring out who could be responsible.

Vincent didn't hide anything from her and told her the truth. "A passerby brought you and Mr. Faust to the hospital. The driver who caused the accident died on the spot and was suspected of drunk driving, so this collision is temporarily classified as an accident.’ "Drunk driving? As if!" Jenny sneered.

"Don't worry. I've already sent someone to look into this. I'll make sure to investigate that driver thoroughly." Vincent held the same opinion; he didn't think it was an accident. Although Alec hadn't woken up yet, he'd taken the initiative to arrange for someone to investigate the matter

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1232-Give Him Some Time Stephanie pushed Jenny back to her ward, and with great effort, she managed to get Jenny back in bed.

"Ah, I'm so tired/ she complained.

"You've worked hard, Steph. Thank you/ Jenny said, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"Now you know how hard it was for me. When you asked for my help before, why didn't it cross your mind how tiresome it was?" Stephanie questioned irritably, feeling a little annoyed.

Jenny chuckled, knowing that Stephanie wasn't really angry. "How's your relationship with Leonard going? You haven't contacted me in a long time."

On the day Max and Jade got married, Stephanie and Leonard got together as well. After that day, the two of them hadn't seen each other. It had been several months since then, and now it was summer.

"It's going okay. I didn't know how busy work at the police station could get. But after becoming his girlfriend, I know that better than anyone else now."

Stephanie couldn't help but complain whenever she talked about Leonard.

"You know, they don't really have normal vacations. Even if they take a break, their phones are never off, and they might get called back in the middle of a date/ she said. She had experienced it several times before and was understandably slightly salty about it.

Jenny could understand, as it was similar to a doctor's job. "I know. You have to understand that this is the nature of his job."

"I know. If I didn't understand, I would've said goodbye to him long ago,"

Stephanie replied. She was just slightly displeased, as she'd always wanted a normal relationship. It was difficult to have that with Leonard, just as it had been with Paul.

Jenny could see Stephanie's frustration and advised, "Give him some time. I believe he can balance his work and his time with you better. Besides, Leonard is so capable. When he rises up in rank, he won't have to work so hard, and he'll have more time to spend with you."

Stephanie sighed. She knew all this; she was merely a little discontented and wanted to vent a little. It wasn't like she really wanted to break up with Leonard.

"He's not in Bardoff City these days. He said he's arresting someone in another city. If he were here, he could help you with this matter/ Stephanie said.

Jenny held Stephanie's hand and said, 'Don't be upset. You have me, don't you?"

"You?" Stephanie sneered. "I know how busy you've been with Alec these days.

Do you have time to care about me?"

"Just contact me, and I'll come whenever you need me," Jenny promised.

Stephanie was skeptical, but she didn't say anything. Despite that, she felt a lot better inside. That night, Stephanie and Jenny talked a lot until they slowly fell asleep in the early hours of the morning.

The next day, Jenny learned that Alec's condition had stabilized, and he'd been transferred to a regular hospital room. Almost instantly, she asked Stephanie to push her over there.

After a night of rest, Jenny was able to get off the bed herself, albeit with difficulty. It greatly reduced Stephanie's burden, so she had no reason to refuse.

Inside Alec's hospital room, Vincent was taking care of him. When he saw Jenny arrive, he stepped aside and went to wait outside. Stephanie pushed Jenny to his bedside and tactfully left the hospital room as well, giving them space.

After such a major event, Jenny had a lot to say to Alec. However, he was still unconscious, so no matter what she said, he couldn't hear her. Even so, Jenny didn't care. Her gaze fell on Alec's face, and her eyes instantly turned red.

"Alec, you bastard! Who asked you to shield me? I'm not a delicate flower in a greenhouse. What makes you think I need your protection?"

Compared to Alec being in a coma, she would rather be the one lying in bed right now. She hoped in vain that Alec hadn't chosen to shield her and end up in this state.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1233-m anything.

After leaving Alec's hospital room, Jenny looked at Vincent and asked," Vincent, can you help me put an extra bed in his room?"

"Miss Walter…"

"He's my boyfriend, so I should take care of him.’ On top of that, Alec was injured so grievously because he protected her from the worst.

When he was in the ICU, Jenny couldn't take care of him. But now that he was in a normal hospital room, she wouldn't miss the opportunity to do so.

Vincent could see Jenny's determination, so he could only agree. "Okay."

Then, Vincent went to make arrangements. Stephanie was still there, feeling somewhat speechless. "Alec will be fine. You don't need to take care of him personally."

"I know. I just want to put my mind at ease." If they weren't in the same room and something happened to Alec, she wouldn't know.

Stephanie knew she couldn't persuade Jenny to do otherwise. ’Do as you wish, Jenny. I can see that you've completely fallen for him.' Jenny was startled, then she broke into a smile. In fact, what Stephanie had said wasn't wrong. Perhaps she'd fallen in love with Alec a long time ago, but she had refused to admit it.

Soon, there was an extra bed in Alec's hospital room. Jenny moved from her ward to be with him in his room. There, she could see him at all times.

"Steph, you've worked hard taking care of me these past few days. I'm almost recovered now, so you can go back," Jenny said.

Stephanie frowned, unwilling to leave. "You're not fully recovered. It's obvious that you still have trouble standing up and walking."

"It's okay. There are nurses in the hospital; besides. I've moved here. How can you take care of me?" Previously, Stephanie had shared a bed with her at night, but now that she'd moved into Alec's room, it wasn't appropriate.

Hearing her words, Stephanie didn't insist any further. "Okay, I won't disturb your alone time with him.' "Go back. I'll treat you to a scrumptious meal when I get discharged." Jenny smiled at her, grateful for Stephanie's care these past few days.

Soon, Stephanie left, and Vincent didn't come in to disturb them. Jenny lay in her bed and could see Alec beside her.

"Alec, you have to wake up soon," she whispered.

As if he'd heard Jenny's words, Alec woke up that evening.

His injury was much more severe than Jenny's, so when he woke up, he couldn't do anything except blink his eyes. He couldn't even control his hands.

"Vincent…" he called out softly. Although he didn't see anyone, he believed Vincent was probably watching over him in the hospital.

Jenny was half asleep, but because she was close by, she heard Alec's voice and immediately woke up.

"Alec? Are you awake?" Jenny wasn't sure if he'd opened his eyes from her position.

When Alec heard Jenny's voice, he was stunned and unsure. He turned his head with great effort and saw that there was another bed in the room, and Jenny was lying on that bed at the moment.

"You're really awake!" Jenny was very happy and immediately wanted to get out of bed, but the pain in her leg prevented her from going over to Alec.

Alec noticed this and quickly said, "Don't move. I'll ask Vincent to come in." With that, Alec pressed the call button on the bed.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1234-Not a Fool Vincent quickly came in with a doctor, and after a brief check, it was determined that Alec's injuries had improved; at least, he was no longer in critical condition.

However, he needed to lie in bed for a while.

After the doctors finished their examination, they quickly left. Vincent poured Alec a glass of water to let him moisten his lips. "Mr. Faust, you can't eat yet.

You have to bear with it for now."

"Understood. You're dismissed for now,' Alec said, voice slightly hoarse.

Vincent got up and left, leaving only Jenny and Alec in the ward. At this point, they could finally take a good look at each other.

Both of them were sitting halfway up against the headboard of the bed. They wanted to get closer to each other but couldn't. They could only smile wryly.

"Why did you come to my room?” Alec was the first to speak, with a hint of teasing in his voice, trying to ease the somewhat oppressive atmosphere between them.

Jenny didn't answer but asked him, "Why did you protect me then? Weren't you afraid of getting hurt yourself?*

"It’s better for me to get hurt instead of you." That was Alec's first thought at the time. As long as Jenny was okay, that was all he cared about.

Jenny pursed her lips and remained silent.

Alec's answer was so straightforward and affirmative, with almost no hesitation.

Jenny could tell that, to him, her life was more important than his own.

But…

Jenny couldn't help but ask herself, could she do what Alec did if she was the one driving the car? She wasn't sure.

She wasn't someone who was driven by love to do all sorts of unimaginable things. She was very rational and always thought that no one was more important than herself.

Now…she felt a little guilty.

She looked at Alec and said, "Alec, what if I can't love you as much as you love me?"

"It doesn't matter. I want to protect you. But if it was you in my place, I hope you would protect yourself." Alec looked at her and didn't feel sad because of Jenny's words.

Alec would rather Jenny love and protect herself more. He didn't want her to do anything or make any sacrifices for him.

Jenny's eyes turned red, and she couldn't help but curse, "You're so immature!*

"Don't cry. I can't come over and wipe your tears now." Alec felt heartbroken.

Although the lights in the ward were dim, he could still tell that Jenny was crying.

Originally, Jenny's tears were only brewing. But upon hearing Alec's selfless words, they burst out uncontrollably.

"You jerk!" Jenny cried and cursed at the same time.

Alec was confused. Wasn't he comforting her with his words? Why was she crying even louder now?

"Jenny, I'm sorry. I…"

"You didn't do anything wrong, so why are you apologizing?" Jenny said angrily, feeling that he was being a fool. She wiped away her tears and didn't continue crying. "I'm fine, I just think you're so foolish."

"You're wrong, I'm not foolish," Alec retorted. He didn't think he was foolish. On the contrary, he thought he was very smart. Fortunately, he'd protected Jenny in time; otherwise, she would have been seriously injured now, and he would have been heartbroken to see that.

Now, he could take her place and suffer in her stead. Alec didn't think he was foolish at all.

Jenny glanced at him, and their eyes met. They could both see the deep affection in each other's eyes. It was just that they were unable to get out of bed now; otherwise, they would have held and kissed each other passionately.

Jenny felt a little embarrassed, so she shifted her gaze and changed the topic.

"The police said this was an accident. What do you think?" "It's definitely not an accident. It was aimed at us." As for whether it was aimed at him or Jenny specifically, he wasn't sure.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1235-I'm Serious Alec and Jenny had the same thought-they both didn't think it was an accident.

"I guess great minds think alike. I've already asked Vincent to investigate this.

We should have the results soon," Jenny said.

Alec nodded with a smile. "Jenny, you're capable in your own right. Even if something really happens to me in the future, I believe you can handle everything well."

"Alec!" Jenny's tone suddenly changed after he said that. She looked coldly at Alec with unprecedented seriousness. "You better not hold on to this idea. If you dare to have an accident again. I'll…I'll marry the person you hate the most!" she huffed, not really knowing how to threaten him.

Alec was amused by her words, but because he laughed too hard, he pulled his wound. Pain shot through him; his back and forehead instantly became drenched with sweat. "Heh…Who do you think is the person I hate the most right now?"

As the lights were dim, Jenny didn't see the cold sweat on Alec's forehead.

Instead, she pondered his question seriously.

"Alfred?" Jenny wasn't sure, but considering it carefully, he seemed to be the most likely person.

Alec shook his head. "I used to hate him very much, but now, he's not the person I hate the most."

"Then, who do you hate the most?" Jenny asked.

"Why? Do you really want to marry him?" Alec smirked with his eyes trained on Jenny.

Jenny pursed her lips. "I'm just curious."

Alec smiled slightly. "To be honest, I think I hate Evan the most."

"What? Why?" Jenny didn't expect it to be Evan. She hadn't thought about him for a long time since the last phone call she made to him after leaving Monaerim. She hoped they would never meet again.

"Because he almost really made me lose you." Alec looked at Jenny and enunciated word by word.

During the time when Evan appeared, Alec panicked like never before.

At first, he was afraid that Jenny really liked Evan. Later, he was afraid that Jenny would take care of Evan for the rest of her life. When Evan took Jenny away, he was almost sure that he would never be able to get her back.

Fortunately, none of those things actualized in the end.

They looked at each other, and Jenny understood what Alec meant. She smiled and said, "Since you hate him so much, you better protect yourself. Otherwise, if you dare to get into an accident again, I'll go find him."

"Jenny," Alec called her name exasperatedly.

"Alec, I'm serious, so you better not have an accident again," Jenny reminded him once more, her tone stern and unyielding.

Alec believed her and nodded. "Okay, I'll protect myself. We still have to be together for a lifetime, and I'm not willing to leave you."

Jenny's cheeks turned red in an instant, and luckily, Alec couldn't see it. If not, Jenny would have been even more embarrassed.

"Who wants to spend a lifetime with you? Dream on," Jenny snapped back and then lay down. "Go to sleep and rest well."

"Sure." Alec didn't say anything else, but he'd already made up his mind.

After being discharged from the hospital, he would propose. This incident made him realize how afraid he was of losing Jenny. Since that was the case, he should tie her to himself and make her his as soon as possible.

Jenny had no way of knowing Alec's thoughts. If she knew that Alec was thinking about proposing at this time, she would probably not know how to react.

The two of them slowly fell asleep, and the hospital room fell into silence, waiting for dawn to arrive.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1236-offered.

"No need. Your injury isn't fully healed yet. Let Vincent do it instead," Alec said with a wave of his hand. However, before he could finish, Jenny had already helped him up.

"My injury wasn't that severe, to begin with. I've recovered a lot in the past two days. There's really nothing to worry about,’ Jenny said.

Right then, Alec was leaning against the headboard, looking helpless as he said, ’I know you want to take care of me personally, but there's no need to be so anxious. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future."

Jenny rolled her eyes at him and thought Alec was quite the jokester. He had just recovered a bit, and he was already spouting nonsense. When Vincent knocked on the door and came in, Jenny and Alec were already lying on the same bed. For a moment, he scolded himself internally for barging in at the wrong time.

"Vincent," Jenny quickly called out to him as he turned to leave. "Were there any leads on the driver?"

She and Alec were just chatting on the bed and hadn't done anything inappropriate. If Vincent left right away, she thought he might get the wrong impression.

Vincent loosened his hand from the door handle and turned back to face the two of them.

"Yes, Miss Walter. I just found out that the driver is actually Anthony's underling."

As soon as he said that, Jenny and Alec exchanged a look, instantly understanding what had happened. She thought she had made herself clear before. If Anthony was smart, he wouldn't cause trouble, but she didn't expect him to be so bold and uncouth.

They didn't say anything, so Vincent continued, "We couldn't find anything before because the driver wasn't considered a member of the Wardleys. He was brought in by Anthony himself from the outside and didn't have much of a presence, so he wasn't noticed at first."

After Jenny reminded him to investigate again, he did a thorough search and discovered the connection between the driver and Anthony, confirming that he was indeed acting under Anthony's orders.

"I knew it. It wasn't an accident." Jenny gritted her teeth; the result was just as she had expected.

Alec's expression was equally gloomy. He looked at Vincent and ordered," The Wardleys have several projects on hand, right? Spread the word that whoever dares to work with them will be against me and the Fausts."

"And also the Walters,’ Jenny added.

Vincent nodded, understanding Alec's orders. This time, the Wardleys were likely to be expunged from Bardoff City.

Soon, Vincent turned around and left the ward, and Jenny was once again pulled into Alec's embrace.

"Sorry, I put you in danger this time,' he apologized, feeling guilty. Jenny wouldn’t have been in danger if it weren't for him. Alec blamed himself immensely.

"What are you talking about? Anthony may not have targeted you solely,’ she reasoned. Although she had no dealings with Anthony, she felt that someone like him wouldn't just let her go after their previous unpleasant conversation.

Alec held her tightly. "Fortunately, you're okay.’ "Don’t worry. I'll be fine. But as for you, don't be so foolish in the future." Jenny pressed her lips together into a taut line. Although she was fine, if something happened to Alec because of her, she felt that she would never be able to let it go. She didn't want to see him in trouble either.

Alec's lips curled up into a smile as his mood lightened. ‘I’m not foolish.

Protecting you is something I'll always be willing to do, not to mention…I won your heart because of this. Now that I think about it, I'm the ultimate benefactor."

He felt that Jenny was obviously more concerned about him after the accident.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1237-Boycotting the Wardleys The boycott against the Wardleys by the Fausts and Walters began quickly.

However, it wasn't just these two families who were going up against the Wardleys. Soon, the Windsors and Watkins informed everyone, one after the other, that they had made the same decision as the Fausts and Walters. And so, the Wardleys were targeted by four of the Ten Elites at the same time.

At one point, those who had been working with the Wardleys canceled their contracts and agreements one after another because they did not dare to offend the other families. Besides, they believed the Wardleys were doomed this time.

Working with a family that was about to be destroyed was a suicidal move that no one dared to make.

Anthony hadn't expected Alec to retaliate in such a way. To be precise, he hadn't considered an alternative situation where Alec would survive. He wasn't afraid of Jenny's threats before, as he thought that as long as he killed Alec, who would dare to oppose him by then? At that time, Alec and Jenny were in the same car.

If the two of them died together, he would dominate the city!

But now, both of them were still alive, and it had been discovered that he was the mastermind. Anthony knew he'd screwed up royally this time. He tried to contact other families for help, but those families were not fools. How could they help the Wardleys at a time like this?

The Wardleys became the target of public criticism, and it seemed they were going bankrupt. At this time, other members of the Wardley family no longer expected Anthony to make the right decision. They'd started to sell their shares one after another, trying to cash out while they still could. They didn’t want the shares in their hands to become worthless later.

When Faye arrived at Wardley Inc, she found that everything was in chaos, and almost no one was working as they should. The entire office building was ridden with anxiety, and the news that the Wardleys were going bankrupt had spread like wildfire.

She took a deep breath and pushed open Anthony's office door. "Anthony, what's going on? Why did Alec and Jenny suddenly attack us?"

At that moment, Anthony was still dealing with official business, seemingly unaffected by external events. When he saw her, his eyes lit up, and he quickly pulled her over to sit beside him. "Faye, now that it's life or death for the Wardleys, you must help me, okay?’ "Didn't you say that we shouldn't attack Alec before? Why did you change your mind?" Faye was not a fool. If Anthony hadn't suddenly acted, Alec and Jenny wouldn't have come after them like this.

Regarding this, Anthony didn't hide anything from her. "What's so great about Alec? It's just that he was lucky this time! If he died, there would be nothing going on now." He was just annoyed that his subordinates had failed to kill Alec.

"Anthony, you promised-"

"Faye, don't be silly. Do you think you would still have a chance with him if I didn't make a move against him? You've seen how he treats Jenny. Give up.

You don't stand any chance with him," Anthony interrupted her and tried to make his sister come to her senses.

Faye's expression froze, and she didn't speak.

Anthony continued, "After this incident, I finally realized that people like Alec have something that others don’t, besides his good family background and ability."

"What is it?" Faye asked, puzzled.

"Luck!" Anthony exclaimed. "If he didn't have such good luck, he would have died countless times over the years. I can't beat him."

Anthony had only come to this realization recently, so he thought of asking Faye for help when he saw her.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1238-Do You Think You Still Have a Chance?

Faye felt that Anthony had understood it too late, unlike her, who had understood it many years ago. That was why she yearned to be with Alec so much. But now, she understood that she had no chance to stand by him, for he was too powerful and beyond her league.

"So, what do you want to do now? How can I help you?" Faye asked.

"I want you to go find Alec and ask him to let us off. I'll never bother him again,"

Anthony said. After these few days, he came to terms with reality and knew he couldn't match up to Alec.

"Do you think we still have a chance?" Faye asked, frowning.

"Yes, of course. You've been with him for so many years. He must have some feelings for you. As long as you speak up, he'll definitely agree," Anthony analyzed.

Unfortunately, Faye wasn't so optimistic. "Anthony, you just made me see things as they were. But why can't you see it now? If Alec had any other feelings for me, I wouldn't be here today," Faye said with a bitter smile.

Anthony's expression froze. Faye was right; Alec didn't like her at all. Even if she took the initiative to approach him, Alec wouldn't spare her a second glance.

He slumped weakly in his chair and looked at the pile of files before him." So, we're doomed? We can only wait for our demise to be upon us?"

Faye bit her lip. She knew what her brother was thinking. They had come a long way from being orphans with nothing; if they had to go back to square one, it was even more unbearable than death itself.

After a moment of silence, she decided to give it a try. "I'll go find Alec, but you have to be prepared. The Wardleys may have to pay a lot."

"I know," Anthony said. He wasn't stupid. Even if Alec agreed to let them go, the Wardleys wouldn't be the same as before henceforth.

After talking to Anthony, Faye went straight to the hospital without wasting anytime.

It was already the third day since Alec woke up in the hospital. He could barely get out of bed, but as for Jenny, she had completely recovered, and everything was back to normal for her.

At noon, while the two of them were eating, Faye knocked on their hospital room door. Seeing that it was her, Alec didn't have much emotion and remained cold, but Jenny was a little curious. She wondered, "Why is she here to find Alec at a time like this? Doesn't she know the situation the Wardleys are facing now?"

"Sorry, Alec, I didn't know you were having lunch. Did I disturb you?" Faye's tone was gentle, and even her gaze toward Jenny had changed. In the past, she was always full of hostility toward Jenny, but now there was none of that at all. On the contrary, there was even a hint of unctuousness.

"Well, this is interesting," Jenny thought, amused at Faye's attitude. It seemed that her purpose for coming today was different from what Jenny had in mind.

Alec looked at her and said calmly, "Since you know you're disturbing us, why don't you leave now?"

In the past, Alec had some fondness for Faye. After all, she'd been like a sister to him for so many years, but that was no longer the case. Alec felt that he was being merciful by not making a move against her personally. He'd only targeted her family so far.

"I'm sorry. I'll leave now!" Faye had come to ask for a favor. At this point, she didn't dare to offend them.

Seeing that she really wanted to leave, Jenny stopped her. "Since you're already here, leaving now won't make much sense. You've already interrupted our meal anyway, so why not tell us why you came?"

As Jenny said that, she'd already put down her spoon. Obviously, she was no longer in the mood to continue eating.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1239-Okay, We Agree Upon hearing this, Faye was uncertain and looked nervously at Alec.

"If you want to say something, go ahead,* Alec said, his words filled with affection for Jenny, which made Faye's heart ache inexplicably, but she quickly suppressed it.

She took a deep breath and spoke up, "I want you to spare the Wardleys."

"Ha!" Alec couldn't hold back his laughter. "You want? Do you think I would care about what you want?"

"Alec, I know you hate me and my brother. After all, if it weren't for him, you wouldn't be in hospital now," Faye said, biting her lip. She looked at Alec and continued, "But you should show mercy to him, considering all those years he spent with you. And…and you should also have mercy on me. I haven't had a good life since I was little. You should know how the Lawrence family treated me. I've always thought that if I could become a wealthy young lady one day, I wouldn't live such a miserable life. Alec, I know you probably don't want to spare the Wardleys just like that, but can you…l mean, can you leave some assets for the Wardleys so that my brother and I won't have to live like we used to?" Faye pleaded.

She didn't expect to keep all of the Wardleys' assets, but she still hoped to keep a little. Even if the Wardleys were removed from the Top Ten Elites of Bardoff City from now on, she wouldn't mind.

Faye's words were quite sincere, and they got through to Alec. Although he hated being deceived, he was grateful to Anthony for being his bodyguard in the past. At that time, he was still young and faced many dangers.

Except for when Anthony faked his death, he had saved Alec from many dangers before that. As for Faye, Alec had really thought of her as a younger sister before and even felt sorry for her.

Alec didn't say anything, but Jenny could guess what his decision would be.

She looked at Faye and made the decision for him. "We can agree to your request, but from now on, you and Anthony cannot appear in Bardoff City. Alec and I will buy Anthony's Wardley Inc shares at the original price. The money will be enough for you to live comfortably for the rest of your lives."

Faye was stunned. She'd wanted to keep Wardley Inc to ensure they would have a steady stream of income. But obviously, Jenny didn't give them this opportunity.

"If I were you, I would agree as soon as possible. Otherwise, Anthony's shares will eventually become worthless, and you wont get a penny. You'll even be burdened with debts that could run up to more than a million," Jenny said, rolling her eyes at Faye. If it weren't for Alec being somewhat sympathetic toward them, she wouldn't have let these siblings off so easily.

After hearing that, Faye didn't dare to hesitate any longer. "Okay, we agree."

It was good to have enough money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

"Well.J'll be leaving now." Faye knew that since they weren't exactly fond of her, she wouldn't stay and get in their way in case they changed their minds.

After Faye left, Alec spoke up, "We're letting them off the hook just like that?"

"It's not exactly that. They won't get much in the end, anyway. Losing the entire Wardley Inc should be a punishment that's severe enough for them."

The Wardley family was one of the Ten Elites of Bardoff City. They wouldn't have ended up like this if Anthony hadn't done anything foolish.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1240-Quinn's Back Alec looked at Jenny with deep affection in his eyes and said, ’Jenny, thank you."

He knew why Jenny spared them.

"Didn't you say we don't need to be so formal and courteous to each other?

You're the one who's being all polite and proper now." Jenny glared at him and finally understood how he'd felt about the way she talked to him before.

Alec laughed heartily. "It's my fault. I shouldn't be so formal with my beloved girlfriend."

The two chatted merrily while the news of Wardley Inc's fall spread quickly.

In the end, Alec acquired Wardley Inc; Anthony and Faye left Bardoff City with the money they got from selling their shares. However, before leaving Bardoff City, Anthony called Jenny and asked to meet her.

When Jenny received Anthony's call, it'd already been a week since she and Alec were discharged from the hospital. She originally thought that Anthony and Faye should have left Bardoff City by then, but she didn't expect she would get a call from him.

Anthony requested to meet at a cafe opposite the hospital to prove he had no bad intentions and just wanted to meet her. Nevertheless, Jenny didn't believe him. After all, he had explicitly instructed her not to let Alec know about their meetup. Wasn't it obvious that there was something fishy going on?

She came to the cafe cautiously and saw Anthony sitting by the window as soon as she walked in. She walked over to him and sat opposite him.

"Speak up. What do you want from me?"

Seeing her, Anthony put down the cup in his hand. It had been a while since they last met, and Jenny felt that Anthony seemed to be in better spirits now that Wardley Inc was gone. However, she didn't care about that. She only cared about why he asked to see her.

"Don't misunderstand, Miss Walter. I really don't have any malicious intent today.

I just want to offer you some information as a way to thank you for letting me off," Anthony said.

Information? Jenny frowned, and her intuition told her it wasn't good news.

"Do you know this person, Miss Walter?" Anthony took out a photo from his bag and handed it to Jenny.

Jenny looked at it, and her face immediately stiffened. "Quinn?"

"It seems that you know about the situation between Alec and Quinn," Anthony stated, not surprised by it. Jenny was no fool, so it didn't come as a surprise that she knew about these things.

However, Jenny shook her head. "I only know a little about them, not much. II "It's nothing, really. It's just that Alec liked Quinn before, but she didn't accept him," Anthony said.

Jenny remained silent, and Anthony continued, "I followed Alec around when I was in my teens. At that time, he’d just finished university, and that was when he met Quinn."

Jenny already knew this; Alec had gone to study abroad, and that was where he met Quinn. But in the end, Alec chose to return to Clusia, but Quinn didn't.

"Alec was destined to return to Clusia to take over the Fausts, but Quinn didn't want to come back. She felt she had no future with Alec, so she rejected him,"

Anthony went on.

Jenny pursed her lips, not surprised by this. "So, what do you want to tell me?"

"Quinn has returned to Clusia, and she contacted me," Anthony announced.

This time, it was Jenny who was shocked. She thought dazedly, "Quinn's back?"

She would be lying if she said she wasn't the least bit worried. Jenny knew she resembled Quinn. Though Alec had clarified that he never thought of her as a replacement, Jenny wasn't convinced that his fondness for her was merely a coincidence. She didn't care that Alec might have developed feelings for her because she looked like Quinn. After all, even if they were similar in looks, they were two completely different people.
