To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1061-That Was Good Enough for Him Evan put on a troubled expression. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have made you come home over nothing."

"Evan, please don’t say that. I moved here to take care of you in the first place,"

Jenny comforted him. As for Alec…well, someone else would take care of him.

Evan's heart was bursting with joy, but his emotion wasn’t reflected on his face.

’I was asking Howard if I made the wrong decision in letting you move in. You have a life, and it's unfair for you to waste your time on a useless man like me."

She seemed to disagree with him on that. ’Evan, you should never refer to yourself in that way. You’re not useless! Yes, I moved in with you, but I still go to work every day. My life hasn't changed. And Howard is the one who's taking care of you mostly." Although she wasn’t close to Howard, she could tell he was extremely loyal to Evan.

"Even so, moving in must have affected you in some way. That makes me feel bad." He hung his head, looking contrite.

The more he blamed himself, the more upset she felt. "Evan, I would have been dead if it were not for you. Helping you is nothing much."

"How about…you and Alec?" he finally blurted out. He muttered with a painful smile when she sank into silence, "You would have been with him if it were not for me."

Of course, Jenny couldn't date Alec because she had chosen to move in and take care of Evan. No man would be fine with his girlfriend being a live- in caregiver for another man. Even if Alec didn't mind, Jenny would never allow that to happen.

She smiled, looking unbothered. "I'm not concerned about that for now. I only want you to get better soon."

"Jenny…"

"Evan, that's enough. You need rest," she cut him off, but more so because she struggled to answer his hypothetical questions. Without the kidnapping, Evan wouldn't have been bound to a wheelchair, and she would have dated Alec.

However, facing the unalterable reality, she would rather plan for the future instead of wasting time on the "what-ifs'.

Unbeknownst to her, he was satisfied with her answer. One thing was for sure— she wouldn't date Alec before Evan recovered.

That was good enough for Evan. He had been losing sleep over his worries that Jenny would date Alec. If that happened, persuading her to go abroad with him would be more difficult.

Jenny requested that he wait in the living room while she prepared the soup in the kitchen. Staring at the soup in the pot, she was suddenly reminded of Alec.

What would he be doing at the moment? She assumed he would be working on his recovery and taking his meals regularly.

Her worry was not without reason because she remembered him as a workaholic. He'd be fine if someone was keeping an eye on him, but without supervision, he'd be skipping meals. She decided to call him later and remind him to take care of himself.

At that time, she had no idea Vincent was forced to help Alec out of the hospital.

When she was preparing the soup for Evan, Alec had moved back to the villa next door, but he didn't inform her because he knew she'd protest and be upset.

To avoid upsetting her, he moved back quietly in order to not alert her. Vincent was also at the end of his wits-he had no authority to stop his boss from doing so, and he had no choice but to take his orders.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1062-Call Me a Busybody Alec thought he could hide the truth from Jenny if he didn't use his study at home. Little did he know that Jenny could see the light from his bedroom even though she didn't have a direct view from her bedroom.

Without hesitation, she called him.

"Jenny, what's wrong?" He jumped a little when he saw the incoming call but calmed down before picking up.

"Alec, where are you now?" she seethed. He silently gulped, thinking, "Is she back at the hospital?" That was unlikely to happen because Evan wouldn't let her leave after getting her to return.

With that in mind, he tried his best to keep himself together. "Why? Are you in the hospital?"

"No. I'm home," she replied.

He felt relieved knowing she probably didn't learn about his discharge. He said, "I'm at the hospital. Why? Do you want to keep me company?" He told a barefaced lie without fear since they were talking over the phone.

She smirked. "Really? Did you not sneak out of the hospital?"

"Of course I didn't. Since I'd promise you to take care of my health, I will never do anything irresponsible," Alec bluffed confidently. Jenny would have fallen for the lie if she hadn't seen the light from his bedroom.

She clutched her phone as she tethered on the brink of rage. "Alec, do you take me as a fool? Who turned on the lights in your bedroom if you're not home?"

He fell silent, wondering if it'd work if he rushed to turn off the lights. It was clearly too late to do so.

She chastised him, "Alec! You're such a hypocrite. Why are you kicking up all these troubles?" She huffed as she choked on anger.

He didn't need to see her face to picture her being angry. "Jenny, I didn't like staying at the hospital because you weren't with me."

"Huh." She did not believe in a word he uttered. "Are you telling me you had never been to the hospital before meeting me?"

"Yeah." He nodded.

"Alec Faust!" she bellowed.

"That was true, though. I had a family doctor at home." Since he never caught any serious illness, he never needed to go to the hospital, and a family doctor would suffice.

She finally understood his words and said sarcastically, "Oh, shall I hire a family doctor for you?"

"No, that's fine. I'll only need you to check on me." He believed that he'd recover in no time with Jenny around.

Dumbfounded by his answers, she said sternly, "Alec, I'm not joking with you. If you can't be bothered about your health, I can't help you either.’ "Jenny…"

"Call me a busybody. Whatever." She knew that no amount of persuasion would make him go to the hospital.

He started panicking when he sensed that she was truly angry at him." Sorry, Jenny. I didn't mean to lie to you."

"Whatever." She refused to talk.

"I'll get myself to the hospital." He did not like the idea but feared Jenny's wrath even more.

Almost instantly, she saw the lights turned off in his bedroom, as though he had decided to leave for the hospital. She was momentarily taken aback and asked, "Are you feeling sick anywhere?"

"No. I'm feeling great," he answered.

She pressed on, "Did you get the prescribed meds?' "Yes," he answered.

After a slight pause, she relented, "That's fine. You can rest at home for a few days, but you need to stick to a routine and take your meals. Got it?"

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1063-Go to the OB/GYN if You're Pregnant "Yes, ma'am," Alec answered obediently like a schoolboy. Feeling defeated, she nagged him a bit and hung up.

He put his phone away and decided to let loose since Jenny had learned the truth. He marched into his study, turned on the lights, and started working.

Then, his phone chimed as a text arrived. He checked the text-it was from Jenny. "Rest early!"

He lifted his gaze and saw her standing by her window, staring right at him. He had no choice but to leave the study. This time, he went to rest in the bedroom instead of working. He wasn't mad at her for being controlling; he was glad she cared about him. She wouldn't have spent her time keeping a check on him otherwise.

He swiftly drifted into sleep with the lovely thought. That night, he had a pleasant dream.

On the next day, Jenny went to work again. Before that, she called Alec, as usual, to check on his condition. She felt more assured after learning that he was fine. He had age on his side, but everyone would eventually age. Once again, she reminded him to take good care of himself.

Jenny was scheduled for outpatient consultations today and was in her office early, waiting for her patients. To her surprise, her first patient of the day was a familiar face. She stared at Marigold Wagner, and her gaze traveled to Marigold's baby bump. "You're pregnant?"

"Yes." Marigold nodded, looking a little sheepish.

Jenny frowned and advised, "Go to the OB/GYN if you're pregnant. This is the neurosurgery department."

"No. I have a headache," Marigold hurriedly explained. She was reluctant to go for a consultation, especially when Jenny was the doctor on the shift. She would have picked a different date if she had known.

Jenny realized that Marigold wasn't kidding, and she put on a serious face.

"When did the symptoms start?"

"It started when I was pregnant, but it wasn't too bad back then. Now, it's gotten out of hand." While explaining, Marigold held her forehead-it was obvious that she had been suffering from a headache up to that moment.

Jenny had a bad feeling about the symptom. A headache was either a sign of serious underlying issues or the patient’s illusion when nothing was wrong.

As she prepared for a checkup, she directed her gaze at the baby bump." I'd suggest a brain CT scan, but you're pregnant now. The scan might affect the baby to a certain extent."

"How would that affect my baby?" Marigold started feeling nervous.

"Well, I can't be sure. Most of the time, it wouldn't affect the baby too much, but there are exceptions. It's up to you." The CT scan involved radiation, and Jenny would prefer to leave the decision-making to Marigold.

She seemed torn but finally shook her head. "Forget about it. Can you prescribe me some meds that won't affect the baby? I'll go for a checkup after the baby's born."

"Think carefully. If your headache is getting serious, it might be a hint of something bad," Jenny advised, thinking that the mother's life was more important than the child's.

Marigold nodded with a smile and replied, "I've made the decision. I think I have a headache because I haven't been sleeping well and thinking too much after getting pregnant."

Marigold had not enjoyed a good night's sleep since she found out she was pregnant. She feared that others would find out about her pregnancy, but at the same time, she hoped they would. The contradictory feelings tormented her on countless sleepless nights.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1064-Who's the Father?

"That's possible too.’ Jenny didn't write off Marigold's guess. Still, when she noted the exhaustion on Marigold's face, she advised, "You're pregnant now.

Just rest well and do not overthink."

"I know, but I can't stop myself." Marigold smiled bitterly. She wouldn't have suffered if she could get a grip on herself. She had to overcome the mental barrier on her own.

Even Jenny, the doctor, could not offer much help. 'TH prescribe some pills that won't affect your pregnancy,’ she said.

"Thank you,’ Marigold expressed her gratitude.

Jenny glanced at her and commented, "You've changed a lot." She remembered Marigold's character vividly in the past. Now, Marigold seemed to have shed her signature smugness.

Marigold was taken aback by the sudden remark, but soon, she broke into a smile. "Well, well all grow up someday."

Jenny had no idea what Marigold went through, and the woman had no way to give Jenny the detail. While prescribing the medicine, Jenny casually asked, "Who's the father? Is he the rich guy you had dinner with from the last time?"

It was a mindless question, but Marigold reacted sourly. ’No. He's not."

"Oh." Jenny didn't think too much about the reaction and added absentmindedly, "When's the marriage?’ When Marigold replied with silence, Jenny finally realized the complexity of the situation. "Your child…"

"Dr. Walter, stop with the questions. Just give me the pills." Marigold wanted to reveal the details behind the pregnancy, but she knew the father would likely want an abortion.

Jenny sighed. She was in the dark about Marigold's situation, but she could tell that there were a lot of heavy secrets behind the pregnancy. At that point, Jenny had no idea that she was connected to Marigold's pregnancy in a way.

After receiving the prescription, Marigold left in a hurry. Jenny watched and prayed that the headache was not symptomatic of something major. Soon, the next patient entered the room, and Jenny was thrown into the hectic work, leaving the thoughts of Marigold behind.

At the hospital entrance, Marigold sat by the flower bed and took the prescribed pills with mineral water. Then, she spent a long time by the flower bed until her headache subsided. She stood up to leave.

A black sedan pulled up beside her when she arrived on the street to hail a cab.

Paul emerged from the car with an ashen face. His eyes flamed in anger when he spotted her baby bump.

"Paul…" Marigold, feeling afraid, did not go up to him.

He stared at her coldly and confronted her, "No wonder you didn't come home.

You're pregnant. Who's the father?" He tried his best to control his temper, but that proved challenging when he was met with her silence.

"Paul, can you stop asking questions? The child's mine.’ The headache came back again, this time worse than before.

Paul, seized by fury, grabbed her collar. "Marigold Wagner, think carefully before you answer!' "The child's mine," she insisted while fully knowing the consequences of her non-answer. If Paul learned about the child's father, he would not let her enjoy another peaceful day in her life. Moreover, the last thing she wanted was for Paul to go up against the man.

"If you refuse to tell me, you can't keep the baby." Paul was adamant. The Wagners would not accept a bastard child from nowhere. Then, he dragged her into the hospital, looking determined to get her an abortion on the same day.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1065-Don't Paul Me!

Marigold finally panicked at that moment. She struggled with all her might. "I'm not getting an abortion! Paul, let me have the baby. You're capable enough and won't need to rely on my arranged marriage for power. Just let me raise the baby alone," she wailed and sobbed.

Paul's expression hardened, but at least he stopped dragging her into the hospital. "Yeah, I do not need to arrange a marriage for you. But have you considered the consequences of having the baby? You'll be the brunt of the joke, and that's going to be tough. Are you sure you can handle that?"

Even though the Wagners were not the most influential, they raised Marigold as a princess, and she never encountered any major obstacles in her life. Her claim that she’d raise a child as a single mother was an absolute joke.

She straightened her back and said in all seriousness, "I can."

"You-" he choked on anger once more. "You can keep the child if you want. We can afford that. But in return, you need to tell me who is the father, so I can decide on our next step." His tone softened as he reached for a compromise.

She hung her head and stubbornly refused to speak. That was the last straw for him. "If you're not telling, we're not keeping the baby!" Then, he started dragging her into the hospital.

She was terrified. Knowing Paul, he totally had the means and guts to carry out his threat. "Paul, if I tell you, will you really let me keep the baby?" she asked tentatively.

"Do you have a choice now?" he fired back. Her face went blank as she sank into despair. He threatened her again when she refused to tell, "Do you think I can't get to the bottom of it? I can investigate all the people you were in contact with. It's a matter of time before I find out about him."

"I'll tell," she hurriedly added. "But promise me not to tell anyone else. And don't give him trouble. I willingly keep the baby, and he doesn't even know about the pregnancy."

"You-" Paul felt his anger rising again. "Okay, tell me first."

"He's…Gilbert Hawthorn," she stammered after a long pause. The baby was an accident-she never thought the one-night stand would lead to a pregnancy. And truth be told, she was happy about the baby. Although Gilbert hated her, she decided to come home after learning that Gilbert returned to Clusia.

Once, she ran into Gilbert, who was shopping with Jenny and a couple of others. It was a coincidence. Still, she couldn't stop herself from tailing them for a bit. She yearned to see the man and even flirted with her urge to tell him the truth.

However, it struck her that she could not reveal her pregnancy when he met with her without attempting to conceal his dislike for her. He'd never let her keep the baby.

Therefore, she neither visited the Wagner Manor nor went out in public frequently to keep a low profile about her pregnancy. To her dismay, Paul had caught on.

She looked up, curious about Paul's expression. As expected, his face crumbled. "Paul…"

"Don't Paul me!" He was engulfed in rage. "I should have known! Did you go abroad last time just to meet him?"

She didn't deny that.

"Do you think you could use a child to tie Gilbert Hawthorn down?" Paul did not have much interaction with Gilbert, but even he knew that Gilbert was no saint.

The idea of keeping the man by her side with the child as an excuse was frankly delusional.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1066-be with Gilbert, she'd be satisfied with giving birth to his child and raising the baby. When the child grew up, she'd be witnessing a tiny Gilbert in the making, which would be a source of satisfaction and accomplishment.

Unfortunately, Paul didn’t share the same sentiment. "You're hopeless!"

"Paul, you promised me." She glanced at him with teary eyes, hoping that her brother would not find trouble with Gilbert.

After some deep thinking, he asked her to get into his car. "I'll drive you home."

"Okay," she agreed, but not without some anxiety. They left the hospital in his car and spent the entire journey in silence. She wrongly believed that Paul would keep the pregnancy a secret from Gilbert, and she sighed in relief.

Little did she know that Paul would not let her be taken advantage of.

Since she was pregnant with Gilbert's child, he'd want Gilbert to take full responsibility. The question was how, and Paul needed time to think and come up with a plan.

After sending Marigold home, Paul didn't head back to the office. Instead, he started smoking at the entrance of her apartment, appearing to be deep in thought.

The morning was gone in the blink of an eye. After Jenny was done seeing patients, she was about to have lunch at the cafeteria. That was the time she received a call from Paul.

"What do you want?" She was hostile to Paul, especially after learning that he had planned to get rid of Leonard Sullivan.

Paul didn't mind the hostility and smiled. "I'm in the cafe across from the hospital. Let's have a chat."

"I'm busy,” she turned him down almost immediately, thinking he'd be begging her to talk to Stephanie. She would never agree to do that for him.

"Don't worry. This has nothing to do with Stephanie," Paul added, much to Jenny's surprise.

She was hesitant. "Just tell me over the phone. We don't need to meet up." She needed lunch and had no time for a coffee session with him.

"Are you sure you don't want to meet, even if it has to do with Gilbert Hawthorn?" he smirked. It seemed that none of the siblings thought much about Marigold. Even though he was cold-hearted and never connected much with his siblings. Marigold was the only family he had a good relationship with, and he would not sit out on the matter of her pregnancy.

"Gilbert?" She frowned. "Are you going to discuss him with me?" That was quite ridiculous because she didn't remember Paul having any interactions with Gilbert.

"Yes," he admitted. "Come over. You won't be disappointed." Not only would she not be disappointed, she'd be astonished to learn the truth. He decided against telling Gilbert because, knowing that man, the first thing he'd do was to secretly get Marigold an abortion. Therefore, he turned to Jenny instead.

Paul knew bits and pieces about the three siblings. Once Jenny learned about the pregnancy, she would not allow Gilbert to abort the child.

Her chest tightened as she stared at her phone, sensing the brewing storm in his words. Something to do with Gilbert? What was Paul trying to tell her?

She had no answer to that, but she could not possibly ignore Paul now. So, she made her decision and left the hospital for the cafe. She found it hard to stay out of matters concerning Gilbert.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1067-Gilbert's Child When Jenny met Paul, he had already ordered a cup of coffee for himself, as if he was confident she would come.

"Okay, what's the matter?” Jenny sat down across from him. Not in the mood to talk, she was eagerly waiting for their conversation to end so she could return to lunch.

Paul glanced at her. He wasn't put off by her attitude. After all, the two of them had always been like that, as they couldn't stand each other. After taking a sip of coffee, he asked, "Did you know that Marigold is pregnant?"

Jenny was taken aback. "I do."

"You knew?’ Paul frowned.

"Well, when she visited me in the morning, she told me she had a headache.

However, she refused a brain CT scan because she was pregnant, so I prescribed some painkillers for her." Jenny didn't think she had any reason to hide it from Paul.

The revelation shocked Paul, and it took him a while to recover.

"That idiot!’ he thought. She did that for her child? A child that its father wouldn't accept. Paul couldn't understand why she planned to see the pregnancy to completion.

When he remained silent, Jenny asked, "Why did you look for me? If it's about Marigold, then it has nothing to do with me. You can solve your family matters by yourself."

"It has nothing to do with you?" Paul was angry when he heard that.

Jenny could sense he was mad though she couldn't tell why. "Of course not?

Why would it have anything to do with me?"

Paul snorted and fixed his cold gaze on her, "Do you know whose child she's carrying?’ "Well, I asked her, but she didn't tell me. In any case, it can't be mine." Jenny couldn't figure out why Paul was telling her all that, nor did she care. She wasn't interested in whatever went on in Marigold’s life, let alone the child in her womb.

Paul gave her a hard look and asked, "Who do you think the father is?"

Jenny was about to get angry and tell him she didn't know. However, due to the look in his eyes, an idea formed in her head. However, she quickly denied the possibility.

Paul noticed the change in her expression, and before Jenny could answer, he said, ’It seems that you already have the answer."

Jenny opened her mouth to speak but couldn't form any words.

"To be honest, I was shocked when I found out," Paul continued. "For one. I'm shocked that Gilbert can do such a thing. I'm also shocked that there are such stupid people in my family! First, she allowed Gilbert to take advantage of her, and now that she's pregnant with his child, she plans to give birth and raise it by herself. How stupid can she be!"

It took a while for Jenny to recover from the shock. "You're saying that Gilbert is the child's father?"

"Marigold likes your elder brother. It's not like you don't know that."

As Marigold had pestered Gilbert and troubled Jenny several times, Paul had sent her abroad. Never had Paul expected that Marigold would go looking for Gilbert who happened to be abroad.

Paul didn't know what transpired between them both when they were abroad nor did he bother to investigate. It was not important to him. What was important was that Gilbert was the child's father, and hence had to take responsibility for his actions.

As a daughter of the Wagners, she wasn't required to continue the family's bloodline. However, she wasn't allowed to conceive out of wedlock. It would turn the Wagners into a laughingstock.

Therefore, regardless of what Marigold wanted, he would make Gilbert responsible for his actions.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1068-emed amused by her words. "You know best how Gilbert is. If he doesn't like a woman, would he marry her? I bet Gilbert would force Marigold to abort the child if he finds out she's pregnant.’ Jenny was about to say that it was impossible, but thinking about it carefully, she knew it was very likely. Chewing on her lip, she was at a loss for words.

After a long silence, she finally asked, "So, what do you want?" Regardless of whether it was true, she had to figure out what Paul was after.

"It's simple. I want Gilbert to marry Marigold. He must be responsible for his actions." He wasn't trying to cause trouble for Gilbert. However, since Marigold insisted on giving birth to the child, the least he could do was ensure that the child would have a father.

Jenny frowned again. She couldn't make any promises on Gilbert's behalf." I'll need to investigate whether what you said is true."

"Suit yourself. But if you find out it's true, you'd better convince Gilbert to marry Marigold. Otherwise, I don't know what I would do."

If Gilbert refused to marry Marigold after finding out that she was pregnant, Paul would never let it go.

Jenny didn't continue the conversation-her thoughts were a jumbled mess. She returned to the hospital without even having lunch. When she arrived at her office, she had someone investigate the relationship between Gilbert and Marigold.

Suddenly, she remembered Evan mentioning that something happened to Gilbert when he was abroad. At that time, Gilbert explained that he had been injured by his enemy. However, in retrospect, their expressions were a little odd when they explained the situation to her.

She was eager to know what was going on, but there were still patients to see in the afternoon, so she had to wait until after work to rush to Evan's place.

Evan was surprised by her early arrival. ’Jenny, why did you come back so early today? Have you completed all your duties at the hospital?"

"Evan, I want to ask you a question," Jenny said as she approached him.

Jenny didn't appear to be in a good mood, and it scared Evan. Had she found out?

Just as he began to worry, Jenny asked, "Did something happen between Gilbert and Marigold when he was abroad?"

Evan calmed down. It turned out that she was asking about Gilbert. "Well…

didn't he tell you?" Evan didn't answer her question. After all, Gilbert didn't want Jenny to know about it.

"I know he lied. Evan, please tell me the truth. It is very important to me,’ Jenny said.

After glancing at her, Evan didn't bother to hide anything and told her the truth.

It turned out that after Marigold went abroad, she often pestered Gilbert, but Gilbert was never interested in her and didn't treat her well. During a party, Gilbert got drunk and gave Marigold a chance. In their drunken stupor, they slept together.

It became pretty big news, but somehow the news didn't reach their home country.

Jenny's expression turned ugly after hearing that, as she had no idea about it.

"Jenny, did something happen? Why are you suddenly asking about it?" Evan asked. Jenny wouldn't have asked if nothing happened.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1069-He Will Not Marry Her "Marigold is pregnant." Jenny didn't hide it from Evan. She didn't think there was a need to, as everyone would know sooner or later.

The revelation stunned Evan. Uncertain, he asked, "Is the child Gilbert's?"

"Yeah." Jenny nodded.

Evan found it rather unbelievable. When he finally recovered from the shock, he asked Jenny, "Gilbert probably doesn't know yet, right?"

If he knew, he wouldn't be so calm.

"Not yet. I don't know if I should tell him." She was even more uncertain about how to break the news to Gilbert.

However, Jenny knew that Gilbert had to know. In fact, she agreed with Paul that Gilbert should marry Marigold. She wouldn't have been bothered if Gilbert and Marigold had only slept together. After all, they were both adults. However, with a child in the picture, everything had changed.

Evan seemed to understand her dilemma. ' Gilbert probably won't marry Marigold. He won't, whether there's a child or not."

"Do you think that if he knew, he would ask Marigold to abort the child?" Jenny asked. If that were the case, she wouldn't want to tell Gilbert.

Evan nodded. "I think instead of trying to make Gilbert marry Marigold, you should try to persuade Marigold to get rid of the child."

His suggestion shocked Jenny. Never had she expected Evan to say that.

"Hey, don't get me wrong. I think it would be good for Marigold to cut all ties with him rather than marry someone who doesn’t even love her," Evan said.

Jenny felt that he wasn't speaking the truth. In her opinion, Evan had the same mindset as Gilbert. They would rather die than marry a woman they didn't like.

But how could Jenny ask Marigold to get rid of the child?

She didn't continue the conversation with Evan. Jenny decided she needed a second opinion, and it had to be from a woman.

Jenny gave Jade a call. Although she was closer to Stephanie, her friend had never been married and had less experience than Jade. In comparison, Jade was much more mature.

"He should definitely marry her. He made a mistake, so he should take responsibility!" Jade immediately expressed her opinion after hearing Jenny's story.

Jenny regretted calling her. She shouldn't have assumed that Jade would be more mature and level-headed. Judging from her angry tone, the news was making her emotional.

"Why didn't I realize that Gilbert was a scumbag? Why won't he take responsibility when there’s a child? Despicable!" Jade grumbled.

Jenny was speechless. She explained, "Gilbert doesn't know that Marigold is pregnant yet."

"Hmph, with his character, even if he knows, he probably won't marry Marigold."

She had stayed in Orchid Village for some time and had interacted with Gilbert.

Hence, she knew a thing or two about him.

Her words filled Jenny with despair. "Do you also think that Gilbert won't marry Marigold?"

"Well, whether he wants to or not, he ought to marry her. Since he made a mistake, shouldn't he be responsible for it?" Jade asked angrily.

Jenny didn't know what to say. After all, Marigold made the first move while drinking with Gilbert. It was hard to determine who was at fault.

"I'm just afraid that Gilbert won't want to." Jenny expressed her concern.

Although Gilbert was her older brother, she couldn't force him if he didn't want to get married.

To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1070-The T rap After a brief silence, Jade finally said, "Why don't you talk to Gilbert about it?

What if he agrees? He's not young anymore, so he must have thought about getting married a long time ago."

In Jade's opinion, Gilbert was still not married because no one was bugging him about it, as his grandfather had passed away, and he was an orphan too.

Jenny also understood that she had to tell Gilbert about the pregnancy, whether he wanted to hear it or not. They had to find a solution to the problem.

After hanging up, Jenny called Zack.

"Zack, did you already know about Gilbert and Marigold?” Now that she was aware, it finally struck her how many holes there were in Gilbert's story. Hence, she assumed that Zack also knew.

Hearing her accusation, Zack instinctively felt defensive. "Jenny, I didn't intend to keep it from you, but Gilbert told me not to tell you.” "Are you just going to do whatever he tells you to do?" Jenny was exasperated.

If Marigold weren't pregnant, she wouldn't be worrying about it, but the situation was different.

Zack didn’t dare to refute Jenny. "You already know?"

"Not only do I know about the affair they had abroad, but I also know about something else that will shock you."

Since they were siblings, Jenny believed they should go through thick and thin together. There was no way she would tell Gilbert about Marigold's pregnancy alone.

"What is it?" For some reason, Zack felt that something wasn't quite right. Was Jenny trying to trap him?

"Marigold is pregnant," Jenny said.

Zack was shocked into silence. It took him a long time to recover. Jenny wasn't in a hurry, so she patiently waited for him to return to his senses.

After a long time, Zack stammered and asked, "Is the child Gilbert's?"

"What do you think?" If it wasn't Gilbert's, why would she be so concerned?

Zack swallowed nervously. "Are you sure? Could it be that Marigold got pregnant with another man's child and is pushing the responsibility onto Gilbert?"

After all, they all knew how Marigold had been clinging to Gilbert before. Such a plan was something she was capable of executing.

"It was Paul who told me. It can't be fake." Recalling how Marigold had acted at the hospital, Jenny felt that it was highly likely that it was Gilbert's child.

Zack sighed. "What did he say? We still need to confirm it first."

"Isn't it better to go directly to Gilbert for confirmation?" Jenny asked. She had already obtained Marigold's conception date, so she just needed to find Gilbert to confirm if it was his child. He would know the best.

Zack regretted answering her call as soon as he heard that. "Are you trying to get me to go with you?"

"Zack, we are family. Of course, we have to go together," Jenny answered with a grin. There was no way he would get Zack out of it.

"Can I not go?"

Zack didn't want to go. Apart from his strained relationship with Gilbert, he didn't want to get involved with the matter.

He wasn't stupid. Everyone knew that Gilbert didn't like Marigold. Going to talk to him about her pregnancy was like walking into a lion's den. When Gilbert got angry, he would take it out on Zack instead of Jenny. He could imagine how miserable the outcome would be for him.

"No way!" Jenny said. "I came to find you so that we can go together."

"Why the hurry? Let's go tomorrow."

Zack figured if he could delay it for a day, Gilbert might find out by himself, so they wouldn't need to say anything.
