Frank walked up to Pat, smiling. “Sorry you had to travel all this way.”

Pat returned his smile, shrugging. “Come on. You are a very important friend-of course I had to see you when you’re in town.”

Frank nodded and walked up to Arcus. “Well done, kid. Not even Jada would be able to handle this as well as you did.”

Arcus actually felt embarrassed instead and asked, “When are we visiting the Costners, sir?”

“Yeah, this can’t wait.” Frank nodded, turning back to Pat. “How did it go?”

“Can’t say it went well!”

Pat shook his head. “Walt Costner had been fueling rumors that you’re the one who poisoned Derek, and the family is now reluctant to let you meet him.”
