Frank smiled. “Well, Mr. Ingram, you’ve been quite upfront, so I’ll return your favor. See, I have no plans to get married at the moment. Moreover, I believe that having your daughter marrying her savior is a little callous and disrespectful toward her.”

Donnie had believed that Frank was even more difficult than Jada and was therefore surprised that he was not bothered with verbal fencing.

Even if they had not planned anything beforehand, Donnie knew his daughter well enough to know that she earnestly liked Frank.
