Frank ignored that and said, “We’d be short handed after Higo Soldi and the others leave. Recall more Cerulean Summit Legionnaires, and I’ll grant them the power of the spiritron vein so that you’d have more manpower under your command.”

Frank then returned to his seat, asking, “So, what’s going on with those out-of-state investors?”

“I knew you’d ask!” Jada smiled. “I straightened them out, and they promptly caved. But since they realized they’d lose in a physical confrontation, they switched to competing in trade again.”

Frank nodded. “If that’s all they’re doing, then we’ll have to keep our distance.”

Jada smiled and nodded. “I know that. As long as they aren’t hurting anyone, we don’t have to make things bloody. There’s always a way to deal with insects.”
