He knew exactly what Cynthia Wade was. If Cynthia had suffered such a big loss at Charlie’s hands, it was enough to prove that this Charlie was definitely not a good crop. And not someone to be messed with! If even Cynthia could not take on Charlie, he was certainly in no position to do it.
He heard Cynthia’s cry on the other end of the phone and hurriedly said, “Cynthia, why didn’t you tell me these things earlier?”
Cynthia sighed and said helplessly, “What’s the use of telling you this? I can’t afford to provoke Charlie, can I still let you go find him to die?”
Tobias said with some embarrassment, “You… you are my woman. If you say something, I will definitely be willing to do it and go through fire and water for you.”
Cynthia smiled, “I will be satisfied if you wish this in your heart, but I am older and more experienced. I can see what is and is not possible for people to accomplish.”
Cynthia gave a slight smile and continued, “I used to be like you. I felt that Charlie is just a member of the Wade family who had been on the outside for many years. For one thing, in a small place like Aurous Hills, I did not believe there could be anyone with any great ability; secondly, he has been an outsider. The Wade family, seeing me, an aunt who has never left the Wade family, must be respectful and humble, but who would have thought that this would mean nothing at all in his eyes.”
Cynthia continued, “And not only is Charlie strong, but he is also deeply rooted in Aurous Hills. More importantly, he is supported by not only the Wade family, but the entire Sun family! It can even be said that the Sun family is an even more steadfast supporter of his than even my father.”
