When Charlie arrived at the front of Shangri-La, Mr. Mai also walked out of the hotel lobby. When he walked to the door and saw Charlie driving the taxi, he waved to Charlie.

Charlie drove the car up beside him, lowered the window, and asked, “You called for a cab?”

“Right!” Mr. Mai nodded and said, “I’m going to Phoenix Mountain Cemetery.”

“Phoenix Mountain Cemetery!?” Charlie said in pretend horror, “Why would you go to that place in the middle of the night? I can’t go there, it’s evil!”
