Having heard that Charlie planned to detain him for three years, and would only exchange him for Lord Banks, Zayne panicked. But as he was about to speak, Zara to the side of him spoke first, asking, “Benefactor, I understand that you went after my father because of the Anti-Wade Alliance back in the day, but why are you targeting my grandfather?”

Charlie smiled slightly and said seriously, “I have three reasons for targeting your grandpa. First, judging from your grandfather’s absolute authority over the Banks Family, although your father was in charge of the Anti-Wade Alliance, your grandfather must have been the real leader!”

When Zayne heard this, he nodded in tears. The truth of Charlie’s words cut to his heart. In the Banks Family, all decisions and actions must be presented before the old man first, nothing could be done without his approval. Even though the Anti-Wade Alliance was established by Zayne, his father was ultimately the power behind.

Charlie looked at Xion as he continued, “Secondly, I really don’t like your grandpa’s behavior! The old dog is far too viscous. His willingness to sacrifice his granddaughters, daughter-in-law, and even his son for personal gain is too much. Such a person shouldn’t be left in charge of a powerful family like the Banks, otherwise who knows how many more people will be destroyed by him.”

He then glanced back at Zayne again, and said coldly, “Your father is not a good person. I heard it was him that gave the order to kill the entire Matsumoto’s family?”

Zayne lowered his head and dared not speak, but he still trembled nervously. Zara also felt ashamed, she knew it was her father who made that decision, and the brutality of it shocked her for a long time. She could understand to an extent her father’s heart and his want to avenge her and her brother, but she didn’t expect he would’ve given Xion such a cruel order.

Xion felt even more ashamed than her sister, as she was the one who executed the order to destroy the Matsumoto family.
