Solus warped everyone to the Firing Range, where she finally had enough space to freely wield the newly reforged Sage Staff. The mana stored within the Yggdrasill wood responded to her call—just not as smoothly as her own core.
She could use the staff’s mana to fuel Fusion Magic, cast spells, and even perform Blade Spells.
“It’s almost perfect.” She clicked her tongue. “The power core resists a bit compared to my mana core, but we expected that. All those interruptions during the Forgemastering process were bound to affect the staff’s mana conductivity.”
“Then why do you sound like that?” Menadion asked. “Anyone looking at your face would think the process failed.”
“Because something’s off with the Sage Staff,” Lith said with a shrug. “Not wrong—just… off.”
“Yeah.” Solus nodded. “It feels like we’re overlooking something obvious and important. But no matter how much we think about it, we can’t pinpoint it.”
