Chapter 4140: Right but Wrong (Part 1)
Solus wove one spell for each tier of Light Mastery, moving from simple holograms to searing heat rays, and finally to solid constructs. She let herself enjoy it, shaping the hard light into the forms of the people she loved.
Menadion had to hold back a tear when she saw the images of herself and Threin—and frowned when Elina and Raaz appeared among them.
Solus quickly shifted gears, moving on to basic Forgemastering spells. Each one grew more complex than the last, eventually evolving into Creation Magic. She saved Spirit Magic for last, conjuring emerald rays that could destroy in one moment and heal the most grievous wounds in the next.
She shaped her mana into defensive barriers and lethal weapons, chasing the razor-thin balance between strength and destruction. With each spell, her breathing grew heavier until exhaustion finally forced her to stop.
“Why didn’t you stop me?” Solus panted, her breath coming like a bellows. “My mana core is almost empty.”
“Because you looked like you were having fun,” Lith replied, handing the Ears to her. “And because I got all the data we need.”
