Menadion projected the battle forms of Baba Yaga’s and Silverwing’s towers, since both had already been exposed during Solus’ rescue mission. Hundreds of Dragons, Phoenixes, and Liches had witnessed the event firsthand.

It was only a matter of time before someone told the wrong audience and the clash with the World Tree became common knowledge.

“I’ve seen holograms of those things before,” Phillard said, pointing at Bloodhaven’s Asura form. “I thought they were drunken exaggerations. You’re saying they’re real?”

“Yes,” Menadion replied calmly. “So stay sharp. Keep your distance from the tower and follow Lith’s orders.”

Her gaze swept across all of them—Protector and Nalrond included.

“Since you’re the expert,” Morok said, “any idea what we’re facing?”

“No. I’ve only seen two mage towers in my life—my own and Yaga’s when I was alive. Lochra having one surprised me. Mostly because of how poorly it was designed.”
