Ch. 956..960: Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies Chapter 956-960

Chapter 956

“I guess you don’t remember who I am? I know that you̟ have lost your memory. Let me introduce myself, I am Bianca’s mother and Anthony’s mother–in–law. Do you understand now?”

Anne thought, so she was really a nemesis.

“Since you don’t remember, then of course, you would not remember that your mother was once a well–known mistress? Then she educated you to become a mistress too!” Dorothy took the opportunity to hurt Anne with the past story.

“My mom was not…”

“She was not? Didn’t you know that your mother ruined Anthony’s parents‘ marriage?” Dorothy snorted.

Anne had heard about this before, Michelle told her.

“Your mother ended up tragically murdered just because she was a mistress. And you will also be abandoned by Anthony, and you die without dignity!” Dorothy said.

Anne was shocked that her heart raced.

Was she a mistress, separating Bianca from Anthony… “If you had not given birth to Anthony’s kids in secret, would he have married you? He would not even look at you, sl*t! Bianca is a princess, what are you? How unfortunate it is for Anthony to have been tied down by you? Don’t you know how annoying you were when you lost your memory? Shameless!” Dorothy did not hold back.

Anne could not stand still.

Was she this kind of person before?

She was a mistress?

No way, how could she be someone like that…

“I order you to file a divorce with Anthony, and then f*ck off!” Dorothy said condescendingly.

“Divorce…” Anne mumbled.

Her heart wrenched just at the thought of it.

“Even though you are not even on par with my Bianca, there will still be men that will fall for your disgusting face. So don’t you be here to waste Anthony’s time anymore,” Dorothy said, full of sarcasm.

“However, I have… I have kids, I cannot be divorced, I cannot leave…” Anne was unwilling.

If she left Anthony, she did not know where else she could go.

Her world would crumble.

“You are using your kids as an excuse again. Stop doing

that every time, can’t you think of something else? I am already so bored hearing this!” Dorothy then spitted on Anne.

Anne did not manage to dodge.

Dorothy was not satisfied, and she then tried to find something to smash to feel better.

She went forward and flipped the coffee table over. It was made of glass and immediately shattered.

“Ah!” Anne squirmed.

“What a sl*t! Mistress! Shameless! A woman who only knew how to seduce men!” Dorothy slammed things. while cursing.

She was an elegant and graceful artist, now she was just behaving like a mad woman.

“Sl*t! Wh*re!”

The old lady next door heard the noises and went out to check out the situation.

As soon as she came out, she saw a woman slamming and smashing things inside, while another woman was standing in the corner, traumatized.

Were they a pair of mother and daughter?

The old lady did not interfere but went away quietly.

Dorothy slammed everything in the living room, but that was not even enough for her. “If you do not agree to divorce Anthony today, I will not let you go!”

Then, she dashed into the kitchen and came out holding a knife in her hand.

“What… What are you doing?” Anne was so scared that she took a few steps back.

Dorothy dashed forward, grabbed Anne’s wrist, forced her to hold the knife, and pointed at her own belly. “Come on, stab here, so you get to relieve your anger and then divorce Anthony. That will do, won’t it? Stab me!”

Anne looked at the cold knife in her hand and was shocked.

“I asked you to stab me!”

“No… No…” Anne’s hand was trembling. The knife dropped onto the floor with a clank.

She then turned and dashed out the door!

Chapter 957

She did not care if this was her own home. All she knew was she was her own master.

She only wanted to get away from this crazy woman!

How did she even manage to get a knife? Would she have killed her if she had escaped slightly later?

She almost tripped and fell when descending the stairs in a hurry.

She had to hold the banister firmly to prevent a tragic fall.

When she finally reached the third floor, her legs were already shaking.

She saw that no one pursued her and then only supported herself against the wall and panted.

That was scary!

She did not expect Bianca’s mother to be this kind of person.

However, was she really the kind of person that she described?

Anne could not imagine that…

She continued walking down, but suddenly she heard a loud bang. She jumped and fell onto the staircase.

She thought Dorothy had caught up with her, so she forced herself to get up and continue running.

When she reached the second floor, she saw the tenants on that floor running out, and they were all rumbling, Someone fell from upstairs!”

“Not sure from which floor. Would she be dead?”

“That was loud. I guess it is hard to survive that fall!”

It was human nature to be nosy about someone else’s business.

Plus, that was the time that most young people were at work, and only the elderly were at home.

Not only were the people from the second floor but also from the third floor that went down to take a look.

“I heard someone having a fight upstairs?”

“Yes, I stayed on the fourth floor, but I could hear it very clearly. It was from the fifth floor.”

“Are they husband and wife?‘

“I remember there is no one staying on the fifth floor. Could they have moved here only recently, and then they had a fight, and the wife decided to jump from the fifth floor?”

“Other than this, there are no other possibilities.”

Fifth floor? Anne was stunned. She thought that these people must have made a mistake.

There was indeed a commotion on the fifth floor, but they were no husband and wife, the person who jumped would also not be Bianca’s mother.

Anne went down and saw many people on the ground; they were all shocked and panicked.

Someone urged someone else to call 911.

Anne could not see who it was because there were many people circling.

She thought that she could leave since there was none of her business. After all, she was not interested in nosing about other people’s business.

Just when she was about to leave, someone yelled, “It was you!”

Anne was stunned. She turned and saw an old lady pointing at her.

She did not know what she was talking about.

“I saw you have a row with her. You killed her, didn’t you? “The old lady pointed at her, at the same time looking terrified.

Someone else heard that and immediately came over. An old man asked the old lady, “Are you sure it was her?”

“Of course, I am? I stayed right across, heard a loud noise, and immediately came out to check. Then, I saw

the two having a row. It was a heated argument! I did not expect that she would kill her! If I knew then, I would have gone forward to stop the fight!”

“Luckily, you did not. Perhaps she would kill you as well: The police will be here soon. We cannot let the murderer run away!”

Then, the people blocked Anne’s way, not letting her leave.

Anne was stunned. What were they talking about? She did have a row with Dorothy, but she did not… She did not kill anyone!

Chapter 958

The people tried to corner her, but there was a gap in between them, and she managed to catch a glimpse of Dorothy on the floor. Her face was facing her and her eyes were wide open, her skull was broken with fluids all over with a knife in her back…

“Ah!” Anne screamed out of shock. She covered her mouth and could not believe what she just saw.

How did it…

“I did not expect that she would be so pretty but so evil!”

“Don’t ever judge a book by its cover!”

Anne heard someone talking about her and knew that they had misunderstood her. She hastily explained, “Not me. It has nothing to do with me. I did not kill anyone!”

“You claim you did not, but someone had already seen you arguing with her!”

“Ma’am, when the cops are here, it is better for you just to confess. You would be landed with a lighter sentence!”

“What a shame, pretty face, but is a murderer!”

Anne was shocked to hear all their comments about her and did not dare to stay for one more second.

She turned and wanted to leave when they did not notice.

“Are you trying to get away? No, you killed her. You must own up!”

“Yes, you could only surrender since you did this. You could only get away temporarily. The cops will get you!”

“Not me, I did not kill… Let me go, I want to go home…” Anne begged.

However, no matter what she said, they did not want to let her go.

Until the cops came.

The police immediately isolated the scene and inspected the body on the ground.

Before the cops asked anything, the crowd proactively. pointed at Anne. “She killed her. This is the murderer. She attempted to run away too, but we stopped her.”

The neighbor from across the apartment said, “Yes, it is her. They had a heated argument! Then the older lady fell from above! Oh Lord, that was scary!”

Anne’s face was pale, as though she was so terrified that she could pass out anytime.

She saw the cops coming over and immediately shook her head to deny it. “It was not me, really. I didn’t do it…”

Marco York sized her up. Anne’s clothing was minimalistic, and she had a great sense of style.

Most importantly, her eyes were panicking and were trying to avoid his gaze.

“What is your name, and what is your relationship with the deceased?” Marco asked.

“My name is… My name is Anne Vallois. The deceased…” Anne saw the forensic pulling out the knife from

Dorothy’s back and placing it in the evidence bag.

She was again so scared that she turned her head away. She did not dare take another look, her entire body shuddering.

Marco did not ask anymore but looked up to the forensic inspecting the space on the fifth floor.

The body, upstairs, and the police were interrogating tḥe tenants around.

Everyone said that they heard a heated argument from upstairs.

Especially the old lady on the fifth floor who was very certain that the person who had the argument with the deceased was Anne.

They did not see anyone else entering or leaving the premises.

Therefore, the murderer must be Anne.

“Do you stay on the fifth floor?” Marco asked.

Anne nodded. “Yes, but I did not kill her…”

However, now it was Marco’s turn to ignore her.

The forensic doctors finished obtaining the evidence from both upstairs and the ground floor, then walked to Marco. “Inspector York, we are done with collecting the evidence. We will need to go back for further examination.

Chapter 959

“Ms. Anne Vallois, we suspect you are related to this casę of murder. I hope you can follow us back to the police station to assist in the investigation,” Marco said.

Anne’s heart almost stopped beating. “I… I did not kill anyone. I did not…”

“If it was not you, we will naturally not accuse you for it. Bring her along.” The last sentence was directed to his colleague. Marco was professional when it came to his work and did not show any mercy.

Anne was brought back to the police station.

She sat in the trial room, facing the cop interrogating her earlier. There was also a notetaker by the side, facing the computer.

Anne looked down at her seat. It was fixating her all around, almost as though she was a criminal.

“So your name is Anne Vallois, and you are a tenant on the fifth floor. Can you please explain your relationship with the deceased?” Marco said.

Anne’s eyes were watery, and her emotions tensed. She felt on edge and did not say anything.

She was so scared. Was she going to jail?

“Ms. Anne Vallois, I hope you can cooperate with the investigation. I will ask you a question, and you should answer. Otherwise, now we have evidence that is unfavorable for you, and we could prosecute you!” Marco sounded strict.

He sounded as though they were merely doing it for procedural reasons.

“No, no, no! I… I had an accident recently, and I lost my memory. The woman felt like a stranger to me. She showed up on my doorstep and told me that she was Bianca’s mother and asked me to return my husband to Bianca.”

“So you did not agree and killed her,” Marco said.

“No, she smashed things around my place, and I was scared, so I… I ran away. When I reached the third floor, I heard a loud commotion from outside, and then I saw the tenants on the second floor rushing down. They said

someone had fallen. I did not know anything about it,” Anne said.

Marco then asked, “I heard that the unit was left vacant for a long time. Is that true?”

“Yes.”

“Then, did you ask to meet the deceased there?”

“No.”

“Then why are you in your old residence? We inspected and noticed the place was not dusty but squeaky clean, as though someone cleaned it up.”

“Yes, I cleaned it a few days ago.”

“In preparation for the murder?”

“No! No! It was because I lost my memory, and I could not remember a single thing. I thought it was a good idea to check out my old place. Perhaps it could help to remind me of something. However, I did not expect Bianca’s mother to look for me…” Anne denied.

“Do you really not know, or are you not telling me the truth? There are witnesses seeing you in the argument. There were only the two of you and the old lady who stayed alone across your unit on the fifth floor. Other than you, who else can that possibly be?” Marco asked.

“Not me, it really is not me. I don’t know…” Anne was desperate to defend herself.

The trial room door was pushed open by someone.

Anne looked down, and her fingers were twined together before her and slightly shuddering.

Anthony entered and saw Anne being treated like a murderer. He saw Anne, who was so terrified that she was trembling involuntarily and was immediately enraged. He held his palm into a fist and walked toward Marco.

Ivan, who was by his side, immediately reminded him in an attempt to calm him down. After all, if this was something that could be solved, it was better not to complicate things further. “Mr. Marwood…”

Anne was stunned. She then looked up.

Her tears, which she held so hard in her eyes, streamed down uncontrollably when she finally saw Anthony.

The person who brought Anthony in strode forward to exchange a few words with Marco. They were speaking in such a quiet voice that no one else could hear them.

Marco looked to Anthony, then he walked forward and said unapologetically, “Hello, Mr. Marwood. I am Inspector Marco York from the Crime Investigation Team. Ms. Anne Vallois is suspected of being related to a case of murder. We are still investigating it. When we are done with the investigation and can confirm that she is not the murderer, we will definitely let her go.

The person who exchanged with him earlier could feel sweat rolling down his temples. He seemed unbudged after such a long conversation.

Did he not know who he was dealing with?

“Murder?” Anthony looked at him with his hawk eyes, and it was a hundred times more terrifying than the trial room itself. “Who are you accusing of murder?”

Chapter 960

His superior immediately came pulling him. “Stop right there…”

Marco was not budged. “I am sorry, I am just carrying out my duty. I will not let go of or accuse anyone.”

Anthony was not annoyed, but he laughed. “Marco York, is it?”

Marco was engulfed by his strong aura, but his stern face remained fearless. “Yes, I hope you don’t make it difficult for me either. Plus, I just found out that the deceased, Dorothy Faye’s daughter, is also acquainted with you. It is better for me to investigate this further, don’t you think?”

“Difficult?” Anthony turned and walked to Anne, then sat on the chair that Ivan moved over next to Anne. He crossed his long legs and said, “Then please carry out the interrogation. I would like to know as well who killed Dorothy Faye.”

Anne saw Anthony’s side profile, and her heart sank.

She was initially not as terrified anymore when she saw him. However, that was no longer the case after he said that last sentence.

“Mr. Marwood, this is not in compliance,” Marco said.

“I am the compliance here.” Anthony’s dark eyes intensified.

Marco’s superior was pissed. He nudged Marco and said in a hushed voice, “Quick, ask whatever you want. Are you trying to get us all killed?”

Marco had no choice but to carry out the interrogation.

On the flip side, this was good so that the people who attempted to cover things up could not have anything to say in front of him!

“What was your relationship with Dorothy Faye back then?” Marco asked after he sat down.

Relationship? Anne could not help but look at Anthony on the side.

“Don’t be scared.” Anthony used his gaze to comfort her.

Anne pursed her lips, then said, “I lost my memory. I could not recall…”

“From the heated argument you just had with her, it seemed that not only did you not have a good relationship with her, but it was a very terrible one. Do you know why?” Marco asked again.

Anne knew the reason. The reason was next to her.

“Inspector, she said she lost her memory. Can’t you understand?” Anthony said with a cold voice.

Marco held it in. How was he supposed to conduct the interrogation this way?

There was a knock on the door, and Marco’s staff came in then passed some documents to him. “These are the results of the testing from the Forensic Department.”

Marco flipped and ran through it, his eyes stern. “Ms. Anne Vallois, your fingerprints are found on the knife that stabbed into Dorothy’s back. What else do you have to explain?”

“She went to the kitchen and stuffed the knife into my hand! I dropped the knife and ran away. I did not kill her!” Anne said.

“Why would she stuff a knife in your hand? Do you think that makes sense? And, there are only your and Dorothy’s fingerprints at the scene. There is no third person. I believe no one would stab a knife

right into their own back!” Marco asked.

“Did you find Dorothy’s fingerprint?” Anthony asked.

“Yes.”

“If yes, then what Anne said is true,” Anthony said.

“Nevertheless, this does not eliminate the possibility of Ms. Anne Vallois hurting her and running away. Now, the witness and the evidence are all pointing to Ms. Vallois. I am sorry, we have to detain her, and if there are no other suspects within 48 hours, we will have to hand this over to the court,” Marco said.

That basically meant being sentenced to death.

Anne was so shocked that her face went completely pale, and her tears rolled down. “I did not kill her… I did not…’

There was a knock on the door again. It opened, and it was Anthony’s bodyguard.

Ivan went over, the bodyguard told him something, and then he returned. He held his head low and said, “Mr. Marwood, Ms. Faye is here…”
