Ch. 671..675: Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies Chapter 671-675

Chapter 671

Nigel watched as the Rolls Loyce left the hospital.

He wondered, ‘Was it really not related to Anthony?‘

Then where could they be?

They could not just suddenly be uncontactable, could they?

Nigel always felt insecure these two days, as though something would happen.

Plus, he was feeling guilty about Anne being forced to apologize.

He tried to call, but the phone was unreachable.

Then only he felt alarmed.

If this were not related to Anthony, they would not have gotten into any incident, would they?

No, they would not. After all, he could not reach Sarah either.

Anthony’s long legs strode out of the lift. Oliver came by and said, “Mr. Marwood.”

Anthony’s face was as cold as ice. “Did you find out?”

“Yes.” Oliver would not dare to show up if he had not found anything. He followed Anthony closely, his expression cautious. “Ms. Vallois and her mother left the country.”

Anthony’s big strides were halted. He turned around and looked at Oliver sternly. “Who allowed her to go out of the country?”

Oliver held his head down. “It was a flight two days ago. They flew to Glasbel Isle but did not book a return ticket.”

Anthony was emitting a hostile aura again. Did she go out of the country? She had to get his permission even just to get out of Luton. He should not have been too indulgent with her!

Oliver took a guess. “Could she have left because of Ms. Faye?”

“She would not be brave enough to!” Anthony’s eyes were as dark as a hawk’s. “Her kids are here. She could not go anywhere!”

Nigel was keeping Bianca accompanied in the hospital. When he was about to leave, his phone rang.

He took one look at the phone and then stood up to leave the room.

Dorothy saw him and snuck out secretly to follow him.

Bianca thought her mother’s action was very disappointing and could have done better things.

Dorothy pulled open the door to eavesdrop on him. She heard Nigel asking, “Did you find her? What? Abroad? When will she return?”

Nigel hung up, and Dorothy quickly snuck back in.

After a while, Nigel came back in. “Bianca, I will make a move back to the office first.”

“Who was that on the call?” Dorothy asked.

Nigel glanced at her. “Anthony.”

“What’s the matter? Is it about Bianca?” Dorothy asked.

“No.”

“Then it is about Anne, isn’t it?” Dorothy sounded odd.

Nigel did not say anything but left.

Bianca told Dorothy, “Couldn’t you have put it in a better way? Why must you make dad unhappy?”

“I have already said it in the best way possible. If a man is unhappy, that means I guessed it correctly.” Dorothy sat by the bed and said, “I think Anne has gone abroad.”

“Abroad?” Bianca could not understand Anne’s tactic.

“Yes! I heard it when your dad was on the call with Anthony. He asked if they had found her and when she would be back,” Dorothy said.

When she put all these together, it sounded highly likely that Anne had gone abroad.

“If she had gone abroad, why should she come back?” Bianca wished Anne could disappear forever.

“The sl*ts like playing these silly games to get men’s attention,” Dorothy said, full of loathing.

Bianca could not deny that Anne was the kind of girl who acted innocent on the surface but was, in fact, an extremely cunning kind of person.

Perhaps Anne going abroad was not entirely a bad thing for her.

She wished that Anne could stay abroad a little longer.

Long enough for her to recover, be discharged, and obtain her marriage certificate with Anthony.

So that Anne could not ruin her plans anymore.

As soon as Anne arrived in Glasbel Isle, she could feel herself coming back alive again.

Chapter 672

She could move carefreely. The suffocating feeling that she always felt in Luton was no longer there.

She lay on the beach, smelled the sea, and looked ahead at the clear blue sky. She felt as though her heart was washed clean.

Sarah, who was lying next to her, indulged in watching the sky too. “This is too mesmerizing! Such a picturesque place, but I had never been here. I think I did not benefit from Ron Marwood enough when I married him.”

Anne laughed. “Right.”

“I’m really glad that I gave birth to a daughter. Look how sweet she is. You said it’s better to give birth to a son. Can a son accompany you on trips and shopping like this?” Sarah said proudly.

“Sons are good in their own ways, and daughters are good in their own ways too.” Anne thought about her triplets.

Her sons were good to her.

Sarah flipped over and asked, “Do you feel much better now?”

“Yes, it was a good idea to get out of Luton,” Anne agreed.

Staying in Luton was like staying in a bird’s nest. She could not breathe freely there.

Now she was enjoying the scenic nature, basking in the sun, not having to think about anything at all. What a wonderful life that was.

“Mom, I paid for your flight tickets, but you will have to pay for your own remaining expenses.” Anne was frank with her. Otherwise, she would be broke by the end of the trip.

Sarah laughed. “Don’t even bother about the flight ticket. See, you declined my money on the usual days. Now, look at how broke you are.”

Anne did not deny that. She was indeed living in a condition where she only had one meal each day just to save money for her children.

Now, she was in a much better position.

Especially after Anthony discovered the kids, she had even fewer worries.

It was a very content feeling, as though she could provide sufficiently for the family.

“Right, we have not turned on our phones yet, have we?” Sarah said.

“Ah yes, we haven’t. We have to use a local SIM card for that. Otherwise, roaming would be very expensive. After all, we will use mostly cash here. It doesn’t really matter if we have our phones with us,” Anne said.

“Have all the fun without having to think about anything at all, that is just so awesome,” Sarah said. Then, suddenly, she thought about something and sat right up. “Oh no!”

Anne jumped and asked, “What happened?”

“Quick! Apply your sunblock. Otherwise, we will get too tanned!”

Anne looked at her own skin. She was so fair that she was almost glowing. She had never really been worried about getting tanned since she was never tanned.

Her mother’s skin was as fair as hers too. In fact, she had inherited that from her mother.

“You are young. Your skin regenerates and recovers quickly. I am no longer young, and it will take me ages to recover! Quick, help me with it!” Sarah stood up to retrieve her sunblock from her bag under the umbrella.

Anne had no choice but to help her to apply the sunblock.

Anne only helped Sarah with the parts that she could not reach with her own hands but left the remaining parts to Sarah herself.

She applied it layer by layer.

Anne watched Sarah as she did it while sipping on her drink.

Her mother was already in her forties, but she still had a good physique.

“Turn around,” Sarah said.

“Why?” Anne turned around. Sarah applied some sunblock on her back, and Anne said, “I don’t need it.”

“It’s better for you to have some.” Sarah applied it from her shoulder to her waist.

“Hahaha, it tickles!”

“Don’t move.”

“It’s really ticklish! I guess we can skip the waist!”

Not only did Sarah not skip the waist, but she even pinched Anne’s waist playfully.

“Ah!” Anne recoiled.

“Your waist is so tiny! Just like mine when I was young.” Sarah’s eyes were smiling.

She did not even look like she had given birth to three kids.

Sarah only kept that thought to herself to prevent mentioning the kids and affecting Anne’s mood.

Since they were there to clear up their minds, it was better for them to forget about everything.

Bianca had stayed in the hospital for over a week now, and she could not wait to get discharged.

Chapter 673

When Kathryn came to change her bandage, she asked, “I can be discharged now, can’t I? I can already walk around.”

Kathryn looked at her wound that had already closed. “Okay, you may be discharged today. Just remember to change the bandage on time.”

Dorothy said, “It’s better to rest and recover at home. As good as the hospital can be, it is never better than your own home.”

Kathryn smiled and said, “That is true. I will handle the discharge procedure for you.” Then, she left.

Bianca picked up her phone and called Anthony, “Anthony, Dr. Brown said I will be discharged today. Will you come to fetch me?”

“I will get someone to fetch you,” Anthony said.

If she was looking for someone to drive her home, she had a driver herself too. In fact, Bianca only wanted Anthony to fetch her back.

However, he would not be coming.

“Are you… busy with work?” Bianca tried her best to suppress it.

“Yes, and the kids are here at the office too. I can’t leave,” Anthony said.

“Alright then. I will get my own driver to send me home.”

She hung up. Bianca was terribly disappointed and enraged.

“Anthony was not coming to fetch you home?” Dorothy heard it and was displeased. “What is up with him? He only took one look at you the last time he was here and then never came by anymore. He did not even call. It has always been you that called him. As important as work is, how can it be more important than his own fiance? Is he really taking us seriously?”

Bianca’s eyes were cold, and her hand was holding the blanket firmly.

She said, “Forget it. Not everyone can become the wife of the most powerful man in Luton. Since the throne of Mrs. Marwood is fated to be mine, why should we get pissed at this kind of trivial matter.”

“I’m only afraid that things will get complicated later on! I guess Anthony’s heart had flown abroad with Anne!”

“Enough!” Bianca was on edge.

“Would he be out of the country to pursue Anne?” Dorothy suspected.

Bianca found her annoying and could not stand her anymore. “Did he even need to make such an easily busted lie? Anthony is not someone that normal people could compete against. Please just pack the bags and prepare for the discharge.”

“Even if Anthony is not coming, your dad will always be here.” Dorothy took out her phone and was about to make a phone call to Nigel.

Of course, Nigel came immediately.

Dorothy was slightly pacified when she saw Nigel. “Bianca, see, your father is the man that really loves you. You can never rely on your husband.”

Her remarks were pretty interesting, wondering if she said it deliberately to annoy someone.

Was she suggesting that Nigel was a good father but not a reliable husband?

After all, Anthony was not here. It was obvious who she was directing this to.

“Let me go and see if the discharge procedure is completed.” Nigel did not say anything more but left the ward.

Bianca thought that perhaps her mother would not be able to change her personality anymore.

Nigel had just arrived at Kathryn’s office door when it was opened.

Kathryn took out a few bills and saw Nigel. She said, “I was just about to send this to you. It is all here. Please go through it. If there is no problem, you may sign it.”

Nigel naturally believed the hospital and signed it.

Just when he was signing it, his pen paused. Nigel’s eyes were fixated on the papers, and he asked, “Are these test results… Bianca’s?”

“Yes, they are all hers. Is there any problem?”

Nigel was signing, but he kept his gaze and attention on the blood type on the reports. 1

After coming out of the office, Nigel was a little absent–minded.

More accurately, ever since he found something odd with the blood type, he was no longer his best self.

He could not even sign his name properly.

He stood outside the office and took another look at Bianca’s reports. His brain was experiencing a storm, and he could not face it.

Perhaps… they could have given birth to a child with the O blood type?

He zoned out while his phone rang.

It was Dorothy.

Nigel did not answer it but kept all the papers in his bag and walked to the ward.

Chapter 674

After entering the room, Dorothy asked, “Why did it take so long? Is it done?”

Nigel stared at Dorothy wordlessly, his eyes cold and piercing as though he was trying to stare through her soul.

“What’s wrong?” Feeling uncomfortable, Dorothy asked.

Nigel turned to look at Bianca, who had changed back into her clothes and was sitting by the bed at the moment.

He tried his best to search for any resemblance between Bianca and him but became increasingly confused. The daughter he had spent years caring for felt more like a stranger. When Bianca met his eyes, Nigel suppressed the doubt in his heart and said, “All done?” “Yeah.” Bianca got up.

Dorothy immediately went over to help her up. “Careful. Take it slow.”

Nigel went over to grab the bags before following them out.

Doubt was a weed that could not be eradicated, and eventually, he decided to get a paternity test.

It was easy to find a cup that Bianca had used or a strand of hair in her room, and with those in hand, Nigel went to a private hospital to perform a paternity test.

He waited in the lounge impatiently.

Unlike the previous paternity test, he had performed when he felt anything but the joy he felt when he first discovered that Anne was his daughter. In contrast, the test he was performing at the moment might prove that Bianca was not his daughter after all.

He spent the whole previous night thinking about this and wondering if he had overthought.

Could Dorothy have cheated on him as soon as they got married? He was still a poor lad with nothing but ambition, so he did not suspect a thing. If Dorothy had cheated on him so early on in their marriage, she had to be the most vicious woman on earth.

“Mr. Faye, here are the results.” The doctor brought the result over. “The two samples are not genetically related.”

Nigel’s hand jolted and accidentally pushed the glass of water over next to him. The glass fell onto the ground and drenched his sleeve.

He accepted the results with shivering hands and stared at the words in the bottom right comer, unable to accept the results.

“Why not…” he mumbled toward the doctor, but also to himself at the same time.

How could the daughter he had loved for years be unrelated to him?

“Mr. Faye, there’s definitely no issue with the results. If you are unsure, you may try to perform the same test again at a different hospital,” the doctor said.

Nigel went to a different hospital but received the exact same results.

Exhausted, he felt his spirit crumbling into ruins and sat in his car for a long time without moving so much as a finger.

Bianca was not his daughter, yet he had sacrificed his happiness to remarry Dorothy to be a good father to her.

There was no bigger joke.

It was supper time soon, and when Dorothy noticed that Nigel had not come home, she called him, but the call was not answered.

“I’m so sick of this. Why can’t he at least give me a heads–up if he’s not coming home for dinner! People who don’t know what’s happening might think he went to see Sarah!” Dorothy set the phone down.

“Let’s eat.” She then helped Bianca to the dining room.

Chapter 675

Bianca went to bed early that night while Dorothy stared at the television in her room, dazedly watching random shows that were playing.

Soon, it was ten at night.

Though Nigel had always been busy with work, he would always go home at night.

That fact alone was Dorothy’s only consolation; though their marriage was merely a shell, at least she was still the wife of a wealthy man who was envied by many. She did not care what the marriage was truly like.

Shortly after, she heard the noises of a car engine from downstairs.

She leaped in joy and walked over to the window before spotting Nigel’s car. She turned around to Nigel’s room and prepared his towel before running a hot bath for him.

As soon as the bath was ready, she heard footsteps outside the room and walked out with a smile. “Welcome back. Why did you come home so late tonight? I’ve been waiting for you. The bath is ready. You will feel better after taking a bath.”

Nigel glared at her coldly.

Had he not gone to perform the paternity test and discovered the truth, he would have never learned how vicious Dorothy truly was. Even as he stood before her, he still could not picture how she could do something so shameless.

She cheated on him and gave birth to a child that was not his. There was not anything that was beneath her.

“What’s wrong?” Feeling chills down her spine at his icy glare. “Nigel, are you in a bad mood?”

Her voice was extremely gentle, without a trace of how ruthless she was when arguing with others.

Nigel felt nothing but disgust and grabbed the paternity test results from his briefcase before tossing them at Dorothy’s face.

“Ah!” Pained, Dorothy stumbled backward and the documents scattered all over the floor. She instantly snapped out of the initial shock and asked, “W–What are you doing?”

She panicked at his sudden outburst and went to collect the paper on the ground. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the words ‘paternity test‘, especially when she saw the names Nigel and Bianca along with the results written on the report. She stumbled backward and paled.

“Dorothy, I didn’t know what a great liar you were! I’ve been fooled by you for over twenty years!” Nigel had never felt more humiliated and furious.

“I… I… It’s not like that, Nigel. Let me explain…I didn’t do it on purpose. I went out drinking with my friends and got drunk. Someone grabbed me and raped me when I was leaving alone. I didn’t dare to mention it because I don’t want you to leave me. I got pregnant after that, and I truly believed that it was yours. It wasn’t until Bianca got really sick all those years back that I realized that she wasn’t yours…” she said.

“So you decided to keep lying to me and used her to force me into marrying you again!”

“Nigel, I’m a victim, too. I didn’t want this to happen.” She walked up to him and grabbed his arm.

Nigel shoved her away roughly. “You disgust me! I will ask the lawyer to send you the divorce paperwork. Sign it, and we are going to part ways from now on!” He turned to leave.

Panicking, she hurried after him and stopped him from leaving. “No! You can’t do this to me! Nigel, we are the perfect family. You have loved Bianca for over twenty years. Even if she wasn’t yours by blood, you still care for her, right? She’s called you her dad for years. Please don’t tear this family apart. Nigel, I’m begging you!”

“Get away from me if you still have honor left in you!”

“No, Nigel. I didn’t mean to lie to you…”

Not wanting to take another look at her, he grabbed her by the shoulder and shoved her aside before leaving.

Dorothy bumped into the wall but could not be bothered by the pain and chased after him.

“Nigel, listen to me. Don’t go!” She ran down the stairs and stood before him. “I know that you are angry. I won’t bother you. It’s fine if you don’t want to speak to me as well, but I don’t want a divorce. I love you. I can’t stand to be apart from you!”

He took a deep breath to suppress his anger. “There’s no tomorrow between us. Our marriage ends today. What you think doesn’t matter to me at all! If you to know about what you’ve done, sign as soon as you get the divorce paperwork!” don’t want everyone

Dorothy held onto him. “No. I won’t divorce you! Over my dead body! Are you divorcing me because of Sarah? Are you going to divorce me and go to her? I won’t let you!”

Nigel’s heart ached with guilt at the mention of Sarah’s name. He was the reason why Anne and Sarah had lived so miserably.

He pushed her away and went downstairs.

Dorothy shouted behind him sharply, “Nigel, I won’t divorce you! Never!”

Nigel ignored her and left.

Bianca was woken up by all the noises. “What are you two arguing about now? I’ve just gotten discharged from the hospital. Can’t you two tone it down a bit?”

Dorothy simply wiped her tears in silence.

Bianca scowled as though her parents argued all the time. Her mother rarely cried.

“Is Dad asking for a divorce again?” She asked. “Over what? Sarah Vallois?”

“Yeah…”

“That woman can’t stop seducing men even when she’s overseas. What a wh*re. Don’t worry. I’m here. Dad won’t divorce you. He can’t,” Bianca said in contempt.

‘It’s different now. If Bianca learns about her true background, she won’t be able to accept it. She might even come to hate me,‘ Dorothy thought.

“Just apologize to him tomorrow when he comes back. Don’t be so demeaning, and everything will be fine. Alright, just go to sleep!” Bianca yawned and went back to her room. Dorothy stood still, unable to go to sleep after what had happened.
