Ch. 1066..1070: Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies Chapter 1066-1070
Chapter 1066
“Don’t drink too much.” Corentin poured some wine into her glass.
After lunch, they bade goodbye and left the Royal Mansion.
Ashlynn slumped in the car seat, swinging side to side, while her cheeks were red. She was obviously drunk.
“I say…” Corentin moved his body over. His eyes followed her forehead, and he looked down, stopping at her red lips. “How are you so drunk with just that few drops of wine? Huh?”
Ashlynn widened her eyes but felt her lashes heavy.
“The after–effects are strong…”
“You even know about the after–effects.” Corentin teased her, placed his lips on hers, and toyed with them.
It was almost as though Ashlynn was the only person who remembered yesterday’s horrifying incident, and she was the only one affected. That left another traumatic mark on her.
She could not understand Corentin’s easily changed mood.
How could he act as if nothing had happened?
Perhaps, it was because she was the victim. How would the assaulter be affected…
That afternoon when they went back to Athetin, Ashlynn did not go to the office.
She went back to sleep in her mansion.
She did not even notice when Corentin left.
Corentin did not return during dinnertime but merely gave her a call.
She could hear Evan over the phone, talking about work.
Ashlynn hugged Chichi in her arms, then rubbed its fluffy head. “Do you wanna go out? We have nothing else to do, do we?”
Then, she took Chichi out in a cab.
She went to the pet store and got Chichi some snacks.
She then brought it to the pet playground.
She remembered that was the day before she departed for Luton.
Chapter 1067
Now Ashlynn understood why Corentin did not allow her to go but eventually agreed to it.
It was because he wanted to ensure that this woman and her baby were settled.
However, Corentin must not have thought the woman would find her.
She looked at her belly and thought she must be pregnant for at least five months.
However, it had only been two months since Ashlynn met Corentin in Luton.
Around ten o’clock at night, Corentin finally returned home from work. He pulled his collar open and strode to the hallway.
He entered, and the woman on the couch made him jump. His face turned dark.
Tina Sparks saw him and stood up shakily. “You are… You are back.”
“Who allowed you in?” Corentin walked to the couch, but he was looking around. He even looked to the second floor, and did not see Ashlynn around, then said, “Had I not given you enough money?”
“I don’t want your money.”
“Then, what do you want? Don’t tell me you want me to marry you?” Corentin was amused, but his eyes were menacing.
“I want to keep the baby,” Tina said.
Corentin looked at her bump; ruthlessness and hatred flashed in his eyes.
He looked to the second floor again, then ignored Tina anymore and went upstairs.
He pushed open the door. In the bedroom, Ashlynn was hugging Chichi in her arms, feeding it with snacks.
Corentin was even feeling a little guilty about it.
After all, if Tina could appear in his house, that meant Ashlynn would have already known.
“Why are you feeding Chichi so late?” Corentin stood beside her and rubbed his palm on Chichi’s head.
His pats were a little too forceful that Chichi barked softly in protest.
Ashlynn did not say anything but focused on feeding Chichi.
Corentin looked at Ashlynn’s expression. She did not seem to be pissed, but this expressionless reaction seemed abnormal.
“What is up with the woman downstairs?”
Ashlynn looked at Chichi, sticking its tongue out, feeding the snack into its mouth, then saying, “Don’t you know?”
Corentin’s amber–colored eyes sank, and he said, “There was one time that I drank a little too much at an event. Paul sent a girl into my bed. I was not conscious. Then I paid her money to get rid of her. I only knew about her kid two days ago, but I will arrange for a doctor to handle this.”
“Don’t you want a kid? Don’t you like kids? This is great. Then you don’t have to force me to give birth to your child anymore,” Ashlynn asked.
“How is this the same?” Corentin’s voice deepened, and he touched her face. “Your child is my legitimate child.”
Ashlynn slapped away his hand. “You can marry her, and I will give my spot up.”
Corentin’s eyes darkened again. “Don’t you throw a tantrum. You will be Mrs. Lloyd for the rest of your life!”
Then, he stood up and left.
Ashlynn realized what he was about to do. She stood up and said, “If the kid is yours, then you must be responsible for it! Back then, I… Our child was also gone when it was around this size…”
Corentin was stunned. He turned and looked at her.
Ashlynn’s eyes were watery. “That was a life too. He was innocent.”
“Do you care?” Corentin asked.
Ashlynn pursed her lips and did not say anything.
“If you think so.” Corentin then left the room.
Ashlynn looked at the bedroom door that was closed. The grief in her eyes eventually vanished.
Corentin went downstairs and then ordered his butler into his study and instructed him to prepare a room for Tina.
The butler went and said something to Tina. Tina was uncertain of his intention, then asked, “Did Mr. Lloyd say I can keep the kid?”
“Since he allowed you to stay, I guess that is a yes!” the butler said.
Tina was over the moon, and she almost kneeled down to thank him.
She followed the butler to a room on the first floor.
Tina entered the room and asked, “Not on the second floor?”
“This was Mr. Lloyd’s instruction.”
Corentin was in the study, stomping his feet. He even flipped the coffee table, producing a loud bang.
How did Paul settle this? He could not even locate her and allowed her to locate Ashlynn first.
Chapter 1068
He really created trouble for him!
After throwing his tantrum, Corentin sat down on the couch and sank into his deep, dark thoughts.
Ashlynn would not be mad at him, would she?
She was the one that said to keep the kid.
Plus, he already explained.
It was only an accident. He was drunk and needed an outlet.
Ashlynn took a shower, then went to bed. Chichi was curled up and sleeping on the nightstand.
She was still thinking about it before going to sleep.
If she had kept the woman and the baby, she would not need to give birth to Corentin’s baby then.
She would never give birth to his child.
As to whether or not Corentin was cheating on her, she did not care anymore…
She was not sure how long had passed when she felt someone lying down next to her and even hugging her tight from behind.
Ashlynn wanted to push the person away out of reflex.
“I had showered.” Corentin kissed her lips.
Ashlynn turned her face away. “Are you sure you are clean?”
“…What do you mean?” Corentin looked down at her face, which was sunken in the dark night.
“You have the audacity, even after doing something like this?” Ashlynn asked.
Corentin’s face was grim. “I said it was an accident. It was just alcohol clouding my judgment. Even if I had to find a girl, it was normal for me, wasn’t it? You were not by my side, were you?”
Ashlynn was speechless at his shamelessness.
“This will not happen again, happy?” Corentin then ducked down to kiss her.
Ashlynn still refused to be kissed and sat up.
Corentin pressed her down.
“Ah! Corentin! What are you doing? Let me go!”
“It is so late. Where are you going?” Corentin’s breathing was not normal, and even the space was twisted around him.
Ashlynn’s energy could not fight him as she panted.
“I want you.”
“You… No!” Ashlynn was disgusted.
Another woman was conceiving his child on the premises, but now he even wanted to force her!
This was such a humiliation!
“Remember, you still owe me a kid!”
Ashlynn widened her eyes, her fingers digging into Corentin’s arms.
The next morning, Corentin was no longer in bed.
Ashlynn went downstairs to the dining room and saw the woman having her breakfast.
She saw Ashlynn and immediately rose, holding her belly.
“Please sit down,” Ashlynn said as she took a seat.
Tina then sat down. “I am sorry to have eaten first. Pregnant women are always hungry.”
“Then feel free to eat more.”
Tina could not help but find Ashlynn’s reaction rather odd. She was not upset at all. She must be very emotionally intelligent.
“How long have you been staying here?” Tina asked.
“Not too long.”
Tina thought if Ashlynn did not stay here for too long, Tina herself had Corentin’s baby. Then Tina would have a better edge.
Her careful manner immediately vanished as she thought this way.
“Mr. Lloyd said that I am allowed to stay so that I can rest and give birth to a healthy baby for him. You would not be upset about it, would you?” Tina said.
Chapter 1069
“No, of course, Corentin has to be responsible for what he did.”
Tina pondered, so she was not even mad at her. Would she not feel threatened by her? Though, she knew that she could not compete with her.
“I heard your name is Ashlynn. They address you as Ms. Thompson. What a dreamy, beautiful name.”
Ashlynn chose to ignore her underlying meaning.
She reckoned that Tina was trying to suggest that Ashlynn was like a dream to Corentin, beautiful but would disappear as soon as he woke up.
In fact, Ashlynn wished things to be this way, but would Corentin allow that to happen?
When Ashlynn arrived at the office, Corentin was already there.
The first thing she did was pour him a cup of coffee.
She entered the office. Corentin was not sitting before his desk but on the couch.
Ashlynn then put the coffee down on the coffee table.
“Why is the assistant arriving much later than the boss?” Corentin asked.
Ashlynn stood politely and said, “I am sorry, sir. I was too tired last night and woke up late today. Plus, you really should wake me up.”
Corentin looked at her and did not say anything.
“I will get the rug to clean things up.” Ashlynn then turned and went away.
Soon, she returned with a rug, and wiped the table, organized the folders, and wiped the window, the cabinet, and the coffee table. She was working with total seriousness.
When her rug was going through a corner of the coffee table, it was stepped on firmly by Corentin.
“Sir?” Ashlynn was confused.
“How are you girls coming along?” Corentin asked.
Ashlynn knew what he meant. “Pretty good. We had breakfast this morning.”
“I had never known that you were such a noble person.”
“I had lost hope for you a long time ago, so no matter which woman you were looking for, and whichever woman that you give birth to, it is your problem and is not related to me,” Ashlynn said calmly.
There was not a single change in her tone.
Corentin’s face looked like a thunderstorm was about to happen, then he laughed as his mouth twitched.
He stepped on the rug, then raised his upper body and pinched her jaw at the same time. “Are you throwing a tantrum at me? Ash, don’t you dare make me feel bad, do you know that?”
Ashlynn looked into his eyes. “Corentin, do you still have a heart? Your offspring will be a bad one, and he will forever be bad.”
“If the parents are bad, we should not expect the kid to be excellent. However, if that is our kid, I will try to be a good father, teach him how to read and write, and teach him how to be a good person. Ash, I have in fact fantasized about it before…” Corentin’s face was wearing an incomprehensible expression.
Ashlynn’s heart wrenched slightly. In fact, more of what she felt was hatred.
She stood up and turned to leave the office, almost as though she was running away.
Corentin’s body leaned back, and his face was dark.
He did not care if that woman would give birth to his child, but Ashlynn must!
Ashlynn ran to the toilet and looked at her miserable self in the mirror. The more she looked at herself, the more she hated.
If there were anything that could make her feel emotionally burdened, it would be the
fact that she had lost her child before.
It was because it was induced labor.
She could still vividly remember the feeling of having her kid removed from her body.
It was such a sick thought!
Why must he want her to give birth to a kid?
That night, at the dining table, Corentin was around, and so were Ashlynn and Tina.
One man, two women.
It felt as though he was hugging them left and right.
Ashlynn decided to apply cold treatment in this case.
Corentin did not say a word, and Tina did not dare to make a sound too.
However, Tina was happy deep down.
It meant that her status was higher than that of Ashlynn because she could live with them as soon as she got here and even dine with them.
As long as she could give birth to her child, she could have everything she wanted. Ashlynn alone was no threat to her.
“I am full. Please continue.” Ashlynn placed her cutlery down and then left the dining room to look for Chichi.
However, she found Chichi curling up in its kennel and not moving.
“What happened? Chichi?” Ashlynn carried Chichi out and realized it was not moving at all, its head dangling. “Are you sick?”
She immediately looked for the driver and got him to send it to the veterinarian.
Corentin walked out. “What’s up?”
“Chichi is not feeling well. I am bringing it to the veterinarian.”
“Let’s go.” Corentin entered the car.
Ashlynn did not argue but entered the car too.
Tina came out of the house and asked the maid beside her unhappily. “Where are they going?”
“Chichi is sick. They are bringing it to the veterinarian.”
“He gives so much attention even to a dog?” Tina could not understand, but an idea germinated in her.
Chichi was sent to the veterinarian and immediately sent to the emergency room. Ashlynn and Corentin waited outside.
After half an hour, the doctor came out. “Did you feed it with chocolate?”
Ashlynn had to work during the day, and she did not know what Chichi had eaten. The servants should know that dogs cannot eat chocolates!
She did not question Corentin but asked the doctor, “Is Chichi okay? It will be fine, won’t it?”
“I have given Chichi an injection, and it has taken its medicine. We will keep Chichil

here for one night to continue observing. It should be fine if it can make it past tonight.”
If it could not make it past tonight, that would be good as dead.
Ashlynn and Corentin went back home.
Ashlynn was worried about Chichi.
“Don’t worry, Chichi will be fine,” Corentin consoled her.
Ashlynn did not say anything but merely looked out the window, feeling down.
As soon as they got home, Corentin inspected, “Who fed Chichi with chocolate today? Please stand out.”
The butler looked at one of the maids.
The maid came out timidly. “It’s… It’s me, but… but I did not give Chichi the chocolate.
It was… It was Ms. Sparks who gave Chichi the chocolate…”
Ashlynn was shocked. Tina Sparks? What was she trying to do?
“Ask her to come out,” Corentin ordered.
The maid went to get Tina.
Soon, Tina came in with her bump. Her eyes were filled with joy when she saw Corentin. “I heard that Chichi is sick. What happened? Is it okay? It must be okay already since you are back so soon, mustn’t it?”
“Did you feed Chichi with chocolate?” Corentin looked at her darkly.
“Yes, I did. Why?” Tina admitted.
Ashlynn asked, “Did you not know that dogs cannot consume chocolate?”
“Dogs cannot consume chocolate. Why?” Tina then realized. “Chichi fell sick because it ate my chocolate? No way, I am so sorry, I did not know…”
Was she innocent if she did not know about it?
Ashlynn looked at her innocent face and then did not say anything but went upstairs.
Corentin looked at Tina darkly. “You better pray that Chichi is fine.”
Then, he headed upstairs too.
Tina watched as they went upstairs, not feeling a single bit of regret.
Yes, she deliberately fed the dog with chocolate. Did they not know that they should not keep a dog around a pregnant woman?
Chapter 1070
Ashlynn returned to her room, then stood at the balcony and looked out.
If it were not for Corentin, who dragged her away forcefully, she would be spending her night at the veterinarian.
It would be much more comfortable to accompany Chichi than stay in the same room as Corentin.
“Now you regret keeping her, don’t you?” Corentin approached her.
Ashlynn said, “Isn’t it because of you that she exists?”
Corentin hugged her from behind. “I will kill her tonight.”
Ashlynn felt the chills down her spine hearing it and then got out of his arms questioningly. She looked at him and asked, “She is pregnant with your child.”
Corentin took a serious look at her. His amber–colored eyes were like a wolf’s, filled with silent lust for blood. “It seems that you are still not happy.”
“I am not unhappy.” Ashlynn’s eyes were calm. Her mood was a mix of the complications from the past. “Salvatore, we had already been separated for over five years. We are no longer married. In between that, who did you find and who did you conceive your child with is your personal matter. By right, it was me who took up her spot.”
“That is right. I could still vividly remember that on the third day of being locked up, received your divorce agreement. I was already sentenced to death. What a waste of your effort.” His eyes darkened.
“I heard that if we had not broken off the marriage before you died, I would still be married to you in my next life. However, I had never been able to break out of our marriage.”
Corentin lifted his cold, hard lips. He looked creepy. “It was because I ripped the papers into pieces. Therefore, we are still married again.”
He walked forward and cornered Ashlynn on the balcony.
Ashlynn’s upper body was hanging out of the balcony, with the danger of being pushed off any time.
Nevertheless, Corentin only left a gentle mark on her lips.
His eyes were pervertedly obsessed. “This life, or the next, we will be tied together, and no one could separate us.”
Ashlynn did not struggle and allowed him to be a beast on the balcony.
She knew he could do it, even if exposed under the moonlight.
“Why can’t you accept it now? This was what we used to do back then. We are a legal couple,” Corentin’s husky voice said.
Ashlynn looked away, her suppressing gaze sinking afar in the dark night…
Ashlynn was not released after a long while.
As a result, she did not have much energy left to be concerned about Chichi.
When she opened her eyes again, it was morning already.
Her first reaction was to call the veterinarian to ask about Chichi.
It had already been a night, and Chichi must have made it.
“It is fine now.” Corentin walked out of the closet while tying his tie.
Ashlynn’s hanging heart was comforted, “Then, can we go and bring it back today?” “You can get off work earlier this afternoon to get it back.”
Ashlynn did not say anything more. She noticed her blanket was only covering up to her waist. Just when she was about to pull it up, a black shadow towered and kissed her forehead. “Good morning.”
It was such a lovely morning.
Such a lovely kiss.
Such a lovely sight.
However, this was a nightmare…
At the dining table, Ashlynn woke up early because she had to go to the office, while Corentin did not have the habit of sleeping in.
Neither did Salvatore.
Therefore, this was not something he had to imitate.
Ashlynn left the office in the afternoon and hurried to pick up Chichi.
Her heart was soft when she saw Chichi lying on its belly in the cage.
She carried it up gently and noticed it did not have much energy.
“Chichi has made it past its dangerous phase, and it is alright now. Make sure to feed
it with medicine on time, just the same as humans. It will recover a little bit by a little bit every day. It is not common for small dogs to survive after bad diarrhea, and even worse if they have chocolates. It is a miracle for Chichi,” the doctor said.
