Three bodyguards were posted by the gates, and all of them standing an equal distance from one another. They were very vigilant and scanned the area from time to time as if their sole task was to look out for any signs of Sylvia.

She did not want to risk drawing any closer than necessary and chose to hide behind a tree instead.

The day darkened without her realizing. Even the temperature seemed to drop by several degrees. At last, two of the bodyguards went back into the house. They must have gone to get dinner. Sylvia held her breath and leaned her back against the wall. She began to slowly creep closer toward the house in that manner.

Just as she was drawing closer to the gate, she saw a very familiar-looking black car driving toward the house. Her heart nearly jumped out of her chest. She quickly retreated several steps and found a curved section of the wall to burrow herself into.

However, no matter how hard she tried to press herself into the curved section of the wall, her pregnant belly still slightly bulged out. It was impossible to hide completely. It was too late. The car had come to a stop, so she could not run and look for another hiding place. All she could do was hold her breath and pray to all the gods that they would not find her hiding here.
