The first person to see him was Isabel, who was in the yard. She immediately ran toward him, calling out his name. Aunt Tonya shooed Sylvia out of the kitchen.

If they woke up and could not find her, they might be unhappy. Suddenly, Aunt Tonya spoke up from the side, “Syl, lll look after Isabel and Liam. You can go out with Thomas.”

She wore an expression that contained excitement and seemed to be teasing her. Sylvia pursed her lips while Thomas looked at her with clear eyes. His expression was gentle but full of expectation.

In the end, she had no choice but to agree. “Okay.” He smiled and took one of her hands, leading her outside.
