Picking up where Jane left off, Lilian said, “Those people are just jealous that Titus genuinely loves you. You’re the target of their envy. People who can’t have the grapes always insist they’re sour.”
“Live your own life and mind your own business.”
Jane nodded. “When Ben and I got together, plenty of people gossiped about us too. I ignored them. They were simply envious and jealous.”
