Jessica asked, “Did Sonny transfer another $100,000?”
She had already helped Hank accept the $50,000 sent through WhatsApp.
Hank nodded. “He sent $100,000 to my bank account and another $50,000 on WhatsApp—so it’s easier for us to spend while we’re out.”
He usually kept enough money in his WhatsApp wallet for everyday expenses.
“Our city, Wiltspoon, has a beach too. It’s a bit far from home, but still manageable. Living costs here aren’t high anyway. And I don’t need new clothes—I still have plenty. I haven’t even gone through all the clothes Sonny’s aunt Serenity passed down. They’re high quality, all designer brands. We couldn’t afford things like that ourselves.”
Serenity had originally planned to throw those clothes away. After Hank found out, he swallowed his pride and called her, asking if she could pass them on to Jessica. Even as hand-me-downs, they were still in excellent condition—almost new.
