Liberty turned her head to Duncan and complained, “Why did you wake me up? That dream was so wonderful. I wanted to keep dreaming—see her grow up, get married, take over.”
Duncan blinked. “What kind of dream was that? Who was growing up? Sonny? You think Sonny will take over one day?”
That seemed unlikely. The Farrell family had been led by women for generations.
Liberty shook her head. “Before I fell asleep, we were talking about having another baby. So I dreamed I was pregnant with a daughter. She didn’t look like me, but she looked just like you—only adorable and beautiful. And you’re not ugly, Duncan. Before your accident, you were quite handsome.”
If she ignored the scar, Duncan was still a good-looking man.
Duncan grinned. “So our daughter was cute, huh? If she looks like me, I’ll have to be gentler so she doesn’t turn out as rough as I am.”
