Marcus did not say anything, but his breathing grew more labored.

His phone buzzed as the email arrived. He browsed the information. As expected, Nicholas did have a grudge against the real Marcus.

Robert was still speaking. “Sir, Nicholas went to prison for intentionally harming someone when he was 18. He was sentenced to ten years but got out two years earlier due to his stellar behavior in there.

“He’s done well in Jangasas these two years, taking over several big groups. There are also rumors saying that he got up to where he is by instigating a few bosses and eliminating them in the dark.” Marcus’ brows were furrowed as he rubbed his temples softly.

“Nicholas has a number of bars and clubs under him now, but they are only fronts. He’s full of illegal dealings.”

He asked in a low voice, “What was he like in prison?”
