Tessa and the other members winced as they saw that. She immediately dashed inside and shouted, “Stop it!”
Hathaway looked at Tessa and the other members, stunned. “Tessa, why are all of you here?”
“It’s break time now. We came out for water,” Tessa explained. At the same time, she was studying Rorion secretly and despised the man. Although he’s dressed like a gentleman, he’s such a terrible person who’ll lay his hand on a woman!

But before Tessa could say anything, Rorion’s condescending tone resonated in her ears. “I order you to contact the police now and ask them to release Kathleen without charge! Or, you’ll regret this for the rest of your life!”
“This matter has nothing to do with Tessa, Rorion. Stop pestering and being unreasonable! Otherwise, I’ll call security!” Hathaway guarded Tessa with a worried expression, as she knew that when Rorion was a man of his word, he would definitely do something to Tessa.
However, Rorion totally ignored Hathaway and glared at Tessa with a devious gaze. “I’m asking you this one last time. Are you releasing Kathleen or not?”
Tessa was unperturbed by the threat coming from this unreasonable parent. Her face completely darkened, and she said toughly, “Kathleen should be punished for the crime she has committed. You can try to get me if you want to!”
The eyeball-to-eyeball situation between them was making the atmosphere tense at once.
Just then, Rorion narrowed his eyes and gritted his teeth. “You asked for this!” As soon as he said that, he grabbed his phone and called his bodyguard. Almost immediately, a few muscular bodyguards appeared in the office.
At once, fear took hold of the members’ faces when they saw the sudden appearance of the bodyguards.

At this moment, Tessa felt a stream of fear rising up from inside.

The crowd was silent as they watched him disappear into the corridor. They then shifted their gaze at Hathaway, who looked awful. While Tessa looked at her, she felt bad for what had happened.
As she was about to say something, Hathaway spoke first.
“Alright, everyone should leave and attend your training.” She waved to signal everyone to leave. The members hesitated but finally left soon after.
In the end, only Tessa remained since she planned to speak to Hathaway after everyone left. However, Scott called her out.
“Mr. Brooks, what’s wrong?” Tessa thought that something had happened, seeing that he had summoned her.
As he looked at the girl’s beautiful face, he advised, “I know what you want to say to Miss Hathaway, but I strongly feel that you should give her some alone time.” He rushed over the moment he heard about the commotion at the orchestra. Initially, he was about to go to her rescue when he saw the bodyguards trying to harm her, but in the end, he was a step slower.

The living room was instantly filled with laughter. Nicholas laughed as he looked at the pair’s interaction. However, he hadn’t forgotten what Tessa had just told him. He had his guard up against Rorion since he dared to bring his men over to the practice room and caused a scene there. His gaze darkened as he shot a look over to Edward, who instantly understood what he wanted since he had been serving Nicholas for many years. He nodded and left the manor.
Soon after, the butler walked over and reported, “Master Nicholas, Miss Tessa, dinner is ready.” The family walked over to the dinner table and had dinner together.
After dinner, Tessa played with Gregory before leading him back to his room so that he could wash up and go to bed. An hour passed after she managed to coax him to sleep. By that time, Tessa was also sleepy and yawned as she strolled back to the main bedroom.

“There’s nothing you can do. Let us leave with Miss Tessa, or else we will get into trouble.” The next second, he shot a look at the bodyguards standing next to him. A few of them got the cue and started attacking the makeup artist.
“Be careful not to hurt Miss Tessa.” Edward was concerned.

“Come over and check on her. I want you to wake her up without hurting her,” Nicholas demanded as he moved over to make space for Shane.
After doing some simple checks, Shane turned over to look at Nicholas and said, “Miss Tessa was drugged with a substance in powdered form, which was inhaled through the nose. It’s simple to wake her up, as I can just administer some oral medication that will not harm her body.”
However, after he voiced his suggestion, it was refuted by Nicholas. “That won’t work since Tessa is now pregnant, so we shouldn’t simply give her any medication. Are there any other ways that don’t involve the administration of medication?”
Upon hearing that, Shane was surprised. She’s pregnant? That’s quick! Although he was surprised, he quickly snapped out of it and nodded. “There’s another way. We can use acupuncture to stimulate her acupuncture points.”
As he was speaking, he started preparing to perform acupuncture on her. Nicholas then stood to the side and watched quietly as Shane did the needle insertion. Nicholas comforted Tessa. She was glad that she didn’t miss out on the performance.

I don’t want to talk to you anymore.” Gregory folded his arms and purposely looked away.
Just then, with the microphone in his hand, the host announced, “Let’s give a round of applause for Hathaway’s Group Two members and invite them to perform on stage.”
Nicholas glanced at Gregory, who was angry and said with a smile, “Your mommy is about to take the stage. Are you sure you don’t want to watch it?”
Upon hearing that, he forgot about his anger and stared at the stage. Soon after, he was able to locate Tessa, who was standing in the front row, and exclaimed, “Daddy, Mommy looks so beautiful tonight.”
“Indeed.” Nicholas had his gaze fixed on his wife as she looked dazzling.
Soon after, a beautiful melody was played. As expected, it was an auditory feast, especially Tessa’s solo part halfway through the performance. The audience was impressed by her superb violin skills. The father and son watched the whole performance from the box seats on the second floor as their hearts swelled with pride.
Realizing that the performance had already started, Rorion couldn’t help but feel anxious since his men hadn’t brought anyone over. “Did something happen?” he mumbled.
The next second, he decided to personally find out what had happened. I must have her tonight! Tsk! So, very soon, he brought a few of his men and entered through the theater’s backdoor.
“All of you go look for her right away. I don’t care how you do it, but you must bring that woman to men,” Rorion instructed his men as he stood in the corridor.
Hearing that, they nodded, and when they were about to start their search, Edward and a few bodyguards appeared from the side.
“Are you looking for Miss Tessa?”
He shot a cold glare at Rorion and smirked, “I’m afraid you’d be disappointed as Miss Tessa is currently performing, and she doesn’t have time to see you now.”
Rorion’s expression immediately turned grim after he saw Edward. He recognized that Edward was Nicholas’ assistant and realized his plans had been intercepted. However, he didn’t take it to heart since he assumed that Nicholas was a mere businessman and there was nothing for him to worry about.
“It doesn’t matter if she’s performing now. I need to catch her tonight.” He glared at Edward arrogantly.

Edward wasn’t enraged when he was faced with the haughty Rorion. He narrowed his gaze, seemingly unimpressed. “Is that so?” he asked.
“If you don’t want Miss Tessa to be hurt, I’d suggest you get Nicholas to release my daughter. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Rorion goaded, not knowing he was getting himself in danger.
“I’m curious about what you’re going to do to us. Right… President Sawyer wanted us to relay a message to you.”
“What is it? Don’t tell me he’s going to beg for mercy,” Rorion chided.
Edward stared at him coldly since he was as good as dead and reiterated, “President Sawyer asked us to extend his greeting to you.”
Right after, he shot a look at the bodyguards, and all of them surrounded Rorion and his men after getting the cue.
It startled Rorion, and as his gaze darkened, he asked, “Why, are you going to beat me up?”
Edward had gotten enough of Rorion’s provocation and signaled the bodyguards to attack them. A fight instantly broke out between the two parties. Although Rorion’s men looked tall and strong, they couldn’t be compared to the well-trained bodyguards. Within a few minutes, the bodyguards defeated Rorion’s man, and finally, it was Rorion’s turn. Unsurprisingly, he was battered. Finally, Edward asked the bodyguards to stop.
He then looked down at Rorion condescendingly and warned, “Keep in mind that these are the consequences for trying to harm Miss Tessa. If there’s a second time, you’ll get more than this!” Edward left with the bodyguards after that.
Rorion’s bloodshot eyes were filled with hatred as he stared at their backs. “You b*stards! I’ll get back at you next time!” he grumbled before asking his men to send him to the hospital.
Meanwhile, on the stage, Tessa was unaware of the commotion that happened backstage as she put her heart and soul into completing the performance. The result of the hard work that the orchestra members put in was displayed to the audience through their performance. Everyone was so in sync that the performance was smooth, and the transitions were done seamlessly, which resulted in a heavenly melody that completely entranced the audience. Among them, Tessa gave the most outstanding performance, which allowed more people to witness her talent.
That night, the more than two hours long performance ended with an ovation from the audience. Tessa and the orchestra members thanked the audience at the end of their performance. Then, as she was about to stand up, a familiar figure caught her attention. She was surprised to see Nicholas holding a bouquet of flowers and walking toward her.
“Congratulations! The performance is a successful and wonderful one.”
He looked at her lovingly as he passed the flowers to her.
Tessa was stunned but then immediately let out a big smile and chirped, “Thank you!”
The next second, Nicholas pulled her into his arms and planted a kiss on her cheek.
He then whispered in her ear, “You look stunning tonight, and you’re the brightest star on stage. Of course, you’re also the most important person in my heart!”
Hearing that, she was so touched that she tightened her embrace around him and smiled from ear to ear. The scene of both of them embracing was so beautiful and touching that the audience gave another round of thunderous applause.
After the performance ended, there was a celebratory party at the hotel, where the members of the orchestras stayed. Tessa followed Hathaway back to the hotel, and as she got down the car, she was surrounded by a crowd.
