At that moment, Horace’s rage went through the roof, not only because of Wanda but because of the Hadfields’ attitude. Although Belinda said that, they intended to wrap Wanda around their fingers.

At the same time, Oliver sprinted to the gates to catch up with Wanda and grabbed her hand. Noticing that it was him, she struggled to free herself from him. “Let me go!”

He paid no heed to her words as he pulled her to a side and sneered. “Think about your reputation, Wanda. You failed to win Nicholas’ heart, so who’s gonna marry you other than me?”

In the following month, she settled most of the work, and the collaboration with the Sawyer Group was the only remaining.

Today, she specially visited the Sawyer Group to terminate the collaboration between the two companies. Due to the smidgen of anticipation, she dolled herself up on that very day.

Edward knocked on the door before entering the presidential room at Sawyer Group. “President Sawyer, Wanda is here.”

“See her out.” Nicholas gave a downright answer. Edward hesitated. “But she said she’s here to terminate the collaboration with us.”

Slightly surprised, Nicholas finally agreed to meet her. Soon, Edward led her into the office.

Today, she appeared professional and charming in formal office wear, which outlined her voluptuous body curve.

said you’re here to end the collaboration between us.”

“Yes, we’ve benefitted tons from you and Master Kieran’s care, but I’ve been causing trouble this whole time. I don’t deserve your help and wish to put my past to an end.”

Despite her composed announcement, Wanda was still secretly holding onto hope. Her eyes fixed on his in an attempt to discern some other emotions in that indifferent gaze.

Yet, his expression remained rigid. “Fine by me.”

Next, he requested Edward to print out the termination agreement. It did not take Edward long to bring it over to them. As such, Nicholas signed it immediately before handing it to Wanda.

The signed contract added weight to her, but she finally accepted reality-this man did not bear any feelings for her from the start until the end; it was all her one-sided crush

Now that the agreement was signed by both parties, the collaboration had officially come to an end.

In the end, he agreed to that despite his worries. He knew he could not talk her out of it.

Later on, she visited the gastroenterology unit at the hospital. While waiting for her turn, she unexpectedly bumped into Nicholas and Tessa.

Tessa’s labor was approaching, so he accompanied her for the final check-up.

“The gynecology unit? Why? She looked at him because she could not follow.

“I suspect it’s a sign of pregnancy. You should go to the gynecology unit to make sure of it,” he explained. “No, no! That’s impossible!” She could not accept it. How can I be pregnant?

At the same time, Tessa and Nicholas heard the doctor’s words from the outside. She was surprised. “That guy from the Hadfield Family

must be the baby’s father.”

Tessa looked at Wanda’s pale face and nodded. Out of courtesy, she asked, “Are you okay?”

“Do I look okay?” Wanda’s tone was a little hostile. She soon regretted her outburst when Nicholas frowned at her. Noticing that, she gritted her teeth and apologized, “Sorry. I was in a bad mood.”

Indeed, she was in a foul mood as she felt like she had lost to Tessa. She cast a glance at the man indignantly. Had it not been for Tessa, the gentle Nicholas would have been hers, but it was too late.

Although he could not read Wanda’s mind, he felt her gaze on him and kept a frosty expression. To him, she was a woman of no importance.

Her face paled even further when she noticed his indifference. She decided to leave before her emotions got to her. “I have something to attend to. Goodbye.”

“No, it won’t, but if you opt for natural childbirth, you might experience obstructed labor.” The doctor had wanted to ease her worries, but his explanation frightened her even more.

“How do I do that?” she quickly asked for some tips. A C-section would be easier, but she heard that kids from natural childbirth grew up healthier. Of course, she wanted the best for her child.

Nicholas stared at the doctor and asked sternly, “Any methods?”

“Miss Reinhart, you should move around more if you have the time. Some pregnant mothers corrected the malposition through exercises.”

She heaved a sigh of relief after learning that the malposition could be corrected, yet Nicholas remained a little worried and bombarded the doctor with a lot of questions.

When the couple went home, they found Stefania, Tobias, and Kieran there. The three were aware that Tessa was due for her final pregnancy checkup, so they rushed over early to get the latest updates on the baby. At the thought of it, he started lecturing his brother, “Why did you bring her home even after the doctor’s words? She should stay in the hospital for treatment!”

Tessa felt warm when she saw how worried they were for her. “Dad, Mom, Kieran, don’t worry about me. The doctor said there is still time to correct the baby’s position. Everything will be fine if we get this done before the birth,” she assured them while looking at Nicholas and hinting at him to say something.

Hearing that, the trio finally felt more relieved. They asked at once, “What did the doctor suggest? Do we need to help with anything?”

“We need Kieran’s help.” Nicholas looked at his younger brother and announced the plan he came up with in the car. “I learned some massage techniques from the doctor to correct the malposition. Before the baby’s arrival, I need to reduce my work hours and stay at home to help Tessa out.”

The medical team stood up to greet them. “Hello, President Sawyer and Young Madam.”

Nicholas nodded and addressed them with a somber tone, “I believe Doctor Sloan has told you about it. Your only priority here is to take care of Young Madam. I do not want any accidents before and during childbirth.”

“Don’t worry. Professor Sloan has briefed us about it. We are always on call and will give our best for the safety of Young Madam and her baby.” The leader walked up and affirmed.

Satisfied, Nicholas requested that Andrew make the arrangements to accommodate the team.

In the following days, Tessa had to go throught an extra checkup daily for the medical team, where she would be accompanied by Nicholas and Gregory. The focus was still on fetal malposition.

One day after the checkup, Nicholas asked with concern, “Is the baby’s position corrected?”

“We see some minor adjustments, but we still need to work on it,” the medical team concluded, much to the couple’s disappointment, but they understood that the issue of correction could not be rushed.

The medical team left the room afterward. Nicholas noticed the worried look on Tessa’s face, so he held her hand and comforted her. “Don’t worry. We still have time to work on this problem. I’m sure this can be corrected before the baby’s due.”

She nodded gently. At that moment, Greg went up to them and said, “Baby sister, you need to listen to Mommy, Daddy, and the doctor. Make it easier for Mommy, okay?”

He touched her bulging abdomen through the fabric. Perhaps there was a connection between the siblings, for the baby suddenly started moving as though she was responding to Gregory’s words. He was overjoyed to see that. “Baby sister, did you understand me?”

Within seconds, Tessa felt the baby kicking harder than the last time. He, too, felt the movements through his touch as well, and his grin widened. Subsequently, he showed off to Nicholas. “Daddy, baby sister knows my voice! She responded to me when I talked to her.”

At that, Nicholas felt upset and even a little envious of his son.

Always Been Yours Chapter 1249--Nicholas immediately nudged Greg aside and took a seat beside his wife. He gently caressed her belly and called out with tenderness, “Be good. Don’t give Mommy trouble.”

The baby ignored him and kicked even harder. Tessa watched on with much love, feeling as if she could explode with happiness. On the other hand, Wanda was in bad luck over the last few days. She had decided to get rid of her baby.

To her dismay, she ran into Regina Hadfield, Oliver’s older sister, at the hospital. She was surprised to see Wanda and inquired, “Why are you here?”

Wanda’s heart sank as she looked at the impeccably dressed woman in front of her. She soon calmed herself down and replied coldly, “I’m little sick. I’m here to see a doctor.”

At that moment, a nurse called her name. She responded to the nurse and nodded at Regina. “The doctor’s calling for me. Miss Hadfield, have a nice day.”

Then, she slid into the doctor’s office. Regina sensed that something was wrong with Wanda’s behavior. She was confident in her sixth sense and took a seat nearby to wait.

Unaware of Regina’s plan, Wanda received the test results from the doctor and sighed in relief when she learned that her surgery was approved. Not long after, she left the doctor’s office.

Little did she know that Regina marched into the doctor’s office right after her departure. Soon, Regina came out with a grave expression and made a call.

At the same time, Wanda sat outside the operating room with a cold face. For some reason, her heart was racing anxiously. Her uneasiness increased when she recalled bumping into Regina in the corridor earlier as if her presence was a bad omen. She thought about it and went to the nurse. “When is my turn?”

The nurse checked the registration list and answered, “There are two more patients before you.” She frowned at the answer, for the wait was longer than she had anticipated.

Suddenly, a person grabbed her by the wrist and spun her around. “Wanda Muller! Who permitted you to abort my kid?” Oliver shot a death glare at her.

It turned out that Regina had made a call to inform him about Wanda’s pregnancy and decision to abort. He was jumping in anger as he dragged her out of the hospital. “You will come home with me!”

“I won’t! Let go of me!” Wanda struggled in fear. However, the people around them looked on curiously without stepping in to help her. They thought it was a minor argument between a married couple, which was a regular occurrence in the hospital.

When she realized that he was not letting her go, she started punching and kicking him out of desperation. “Oliver Hadfield, you’re a jerk! Let go of me now!”

“You want to kill my child? Dream on!” While speaking, he lifted her over his shoulder and stomped out of the hospital.

Naturally, the two families got the news of Wanda’s pregnancy after Oliver brought her back from the hospital. As such, they had no choice but to bring forth their wedding date.

In a few days, the news of the arranged marriage between the Hadfields and Mullers spread like wildfire. When Wanda found out about it, she fell into despair. The arrival of the baby brought no joy to her at all.

“Why do you have to show up now? My life would’ve been better without you.” She punched her stomach with resentment and vain hope that she could miscarry. Despite her attempts, the baby stubbornly grew in her belly.

Another wave of depression drowned her when she heard the news that Nicholas stayed home to take care of a pregnant Tessa. She was reminded of the day when she met them in the hospital, where he took great care of Tessa.

Always Been Yours Chapter 1250--“Why do I have to marry a jerk like Oliver while Tessa is living in happiness?” Wanda’s eyes were clouded with gloom, and she gritted her teeth with resentment. She refused to believe that her fate was worse than Tessa’s.

On that night, she casually brought up an idea over dinner at home. “Grandpa, why don’t I deliver the wedding invitation and favors to the Sawyers since I’m getting married? I know there’s a grudge between our families, but we are still friends. It’s not nice to leave them out when I have sent all the invitations and goody bags to everyone else. People might gossip.”

“You’re right.” Horace nodded in agreement. He could not give up his longtime friendship with Remus because of some fight between their grandchildren. He mulled over it and informed her, “I will have the housekeeper prepare some good tea. Please send them to Remus for me.” “Sure.” She nodded demurely.

The next morning, Wanda departed for the Sawyer Residence with the wedding invitation, goody bags, and her grandpa’s gift for Remus. To her disappointment, it was Stefania who greeted her, while Nicolas and Tessa were nowhere to be seen.

After Stefania learned about the purpose of her visit, she accepted the invitation cards and gifts with a wide smile and congratulated her. “Congratulations! We will attend your wedding if time allows.”

Wanda nodded softly. The two chit-chatted for a bit before Stefania’s phone buzzed. Wanda was sensible enough to leave, so Stefania asked a maid to see her out.

On her way out, she dropped some questions casually. “I heard that Nicholas is at home taking care of Tessa. Did something happen to her?”

“Young Madam’s baby is not flipping into the correct position. That’s why Master Nicholas has to stay at home to take care of her,” the maid told Wanda everything because she did not see this as a secret. Therefore, Wanda was surprised to learn that Tessa had fetal malposition.

The maid went on to gush. “I never thought that Master Nicholas would turn from a cold guy into a loyal and lovesick man. Young Madam is a lucky woman.”

“Yeah, Nicholas is a pretty loyal man,” Wanda replied carelessly, but she was burning with envy and regret. Would things be different if she had confessed to him earlier?

The maid told her more about what Nicholas did for Tessa in private and concluded with a sigh. “You can tell he is doting excessively on her,” Wanda’s mood tanked when she looked at the maid, who was busy admiring Nicholas and Tessa’s relationship. She said, “You don’t have to see me off till the end. I’ll leave on my own.”

After that, she left the maid and marched toward the main entrance. She refused to listen to details about how great Nicholas was treating Tessa. Even so, she was filled with resentment and hatred on her way home.

“Why is she living a happier life than me?” she mumbled softly as she racked her brain. She had an advantage over Tessa in terms of her family background and abilities, but she wondered why her fate was worse than hers. She could not get over the fact that Tessa married for love while she had to marry a jerk who had ruined her life.

The more she thought about it, the more indignant she felt. An idea popped up in her mind, and she started entertaining some evil thoughts. It’d be great if Tessa’s baby died. Would the Sawyers and Nicholas still dote on her if she loses the baby?

Her eyes turned red and glowed with a devilish look.

Meanwhile, Tessa had no idea about Wanda’s wicked thoughts. Every day, she followed the exercise plan at home to correct the baby’s position. Since she went on walks during the day, she always felt sore at night.

Nicholas felt sorry for her. “I know the doctor wants you to exercise, but you should know your limits. You shouldn’t overdo it every day.”
