The teacher on duty didn’t argue with her about being late because of her leg injury. However, he reminded Tan Jing, “Tan Jing, since your leg is injured, you should come to school earlier. It’s fine if you came in earlier but if you’re late for class, aren’t you wasting everyone’s time?”
Tan Jing lowered her head and dug her nails into her palms. She whispered, “Sir. I’ll come earlier next time.”
