After leaving Snowfall Hollow, Jared and the others didn’t head straight for the northern mine.

Instead, they stopped halfway and found a hidden vale to lie low in.

The vale was small, boxed in by mountains on three sides, with only a narrow path leading inside.

A clear stream ran through the valley, the water so pure the bottom was visible at a glance. Beside it stretched a patch of soft grass.

The last rays of the setting sun poured into the vale, drenching everything in gold and crimson.

Jared spread the map across a flat stone and pointed to the mark showing the northern mine.
