Chapter 2137

Nicholas’ Adam’s apple bobbed as he used all his strength to focus his gaze on Jocelyn. After confirming it was her, he raised his hand.

Unsure of what he was doing, Jocelyn leaned in to ask. “Mr. Rainsworth, are you all right? Are you in pain anywhere? Do you want some water? We’ll be at the hospital soon.”

Just as her last words fell, Nicholas’ hand landed on her cheek.

He murmured hoarsely, “Jocelyn? Am I… dreaming?”

Jocelyn’s face flushed, and she stared at him in disbelief, her body rigid.

Meanwhile, Yannick’s face instantly darkened, and he raised his hand and slapped Nicholas’ hand away. “Keep your hands to yourself.”

Nicholas’ hand dropped. Completely out of strength, he closed his eyes again. Jocelyn turned to look at Yannick with a remorseful expression. “I’m sorry.”
