Cecilia stopped looking at the messages and went to wash up.

When she returned to the bedroom, she saw Nathaniel playing with Jonathan and Elliot. The sight of the father and two children in the same room looked incredibly harmonious and joyful.

That scene made Cecilia feel immensely blissful, as if that was all she desired in life.

“Mommy, you’re finally done showering.” As if Cecilia were his savior, Elliot stood up from the chair and ran toward her.
