It was her rare day off, and she could tell Magnus’ injuries were still healing.

“I’m bored out of my mind here,” Magnus said. “Just let me tag along.”

He didn’t dare go out alone, afraid someone might recognize him.

Seeing how insistent he was, Denise gave in. “Fine, but you’ll have to wait outside. Don’t let my parents see you.”

“No problem,” Magnus replied without hesitation. He put on a newly bought outfit, wore a hat, and covered himself up properly before heading out with Denise.
