A Beggar

Cecilia sat watching the footage of Magnus in his pitiful state. She felt absolutely nothing. This was exactly what he deserved.

Most people born into a life like his would’ve had it made comfortable, successful, stable. But Magnus had done nothing but stir up trouble with his privilege. He was selfish to the core and never once thought about his family.

Sven turned to her and asked, “Is that enough?”

“It’s not enough yet. He needs to go through more, enough to understand what it means to start from zero, to see that making money takes real work,” Cecilia answered firmly.

“Got it.”

After getting kicked out of the hotel, Magnus had nothing left-no phone, no wallet, not even a dime to his name. He was stranded in a strange city, left to wander aimlessly.
