Hearing her speak, Magnus didn’t show the slightest bit of emotion. Instead, he asked, “Granny, do you still have any money? I really need some. Can you send me a bit?”

Heather had thought he was calling to repay what he owed, but he was asking for even more!

“Sweetie, I’ve already given you everything I had. Where would I get more?” She sounded completely distraught. She was still trying to make up for what her son had lost.

“It doesn’t have to be much. Even a few thousand would help,” Magnus said.

“I really don’t have anything left…”

“What, are you just going to sit back and watch me die?” Magnus snapped, growing desperate.
