Ch. 1261..1270
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1261-was happy. ' Now it looks no.velxo like you and Alec will marry very quickly."
"Not necessarily. My dad insists on getting a priest to tell us when we should marry. Who knows what the date will be." Jenny knew what Stephanie was thinking. She wanted to solidify things between her and Leoanrd after Jenny and Alec married.
Stephanie smiled. She didn't think there was anything wrong with that. "You should get a nice date. Your marriage from before was sloppy. Now you have to take it seriously."
As Jenny's best friend, novelxo Stephanie wanted her to be happy. Hence, she didn't think there was anything wrong with waiting for a bit.
They talked in the coffee shop until night fell over the city. Jenny had to check on Alec's condition, so she didn't eat with Stephanie.
Back in the villa, Jenny didn't see Alec in the living room. She went to the bedroom. However, there was no one there. It struck her as odd. Could Alec have gone to the company?
At the thought, she walked out of the novel.xo bedroom no.velxo and swept her gaze over the floor. The light in the study was on. She felt bewildered.
She pushed the door open. Alec was sketching something at his desk.
Quietly, Jenny walked over. There was a sheet of A3-sized paper on the table, but that wasn't the point. On it was drawn a wedding gown, and Alec was currently sketching out the exquisite little details with utmost care.
Jenny's eyes filled with tears. She was moved. "Did you design that?"
"Jenny? When did you come in here?" Alec was shocked to see her by his side.
He wanted to hide the sketch, novelxo but it was too late. He smiled in embarrassment. "I wanted to surprise you, but you've found me."
"You were too engrossed in it. You didn't notice me walking in." Jenny took the sketch and held it up to gaze at it.
Alec was not a professional designer, but it was an exquisite design. She couldn't take her eyes off it. "It's beautiful."
"Do you like it? I'm self-taught. I was afraid that you wouldn't like it." He was anxious before, wondering if he should entrust the design to a professional instead. However, he felt that the wedding dress was too important to be designed by anyone else.
Jenny smiled at him, then said, "I like it. no.velxo Your design is beautiful. Other designs couldn't compare."
"That's great. But it'll take a while for the design to be realized into an actual dress," Alec said.
Jenny nodded and put the sketch back down. "Don't rush it. I believe in your skills. You haven't eaten yet, have you? Let's eat."
Alec nodded and put the novel.xo sketch away. He would be incredibly busy these few days. He had the wedding ring to design, too. He wanted to customize them all.
They walked out of the study room. Although it was still early, Alec was still not completely sobered up. Hence, they decided to dine out.
"Your parents seem to want to go to the novelxo priest tomorrow. Should we follow them?" Alec looked at Jenny, who was driving.
Jenny thought about it and shook her head. "There's no need. They can go by themselves. They'll tell us the date once they have it, so we don't need to worry."
"Alright. Whatever you say."
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1262-There Should Be Good News Although Jenny and Alec had gotten engaged, it didn't make much of a difference to her. She still went to work the next day.
Possibly because of Alec's donations, the hospital hired a few more doctors.
Even if Jenny didn't see the patients, they would be able to be treated.
Jenny was satisfied with this. She was much more relaxed now.
At night, Jenny received a call from Graham telling them about their wedding date. Apparently, the only time they could marry this year was in three months.
Jenny was exasperated. She knew that the date would be beyond their expectations.
Three months. She told Alec about it, who didn't have much of an issue with it.
Three months was enough time for the wedding dress and the rings to arrive.
"Jenny, since we've already decided to marry, and the date has been fixed, should we go to Parrington to see Grandpa?'' Alec was a little embarrassed. He and Jenny returned from Parrington less than two days ago.
Jenny didn't refuse. "That makes sense. We should go see Grandpa.” And not just Alec's grandfather. She wanted to see hers, too. She wanted to tell him, even if it was just his grave. This wedding would be different from the first.
The first was only because she wanted to fulfill her grandfather's wishes, but this time, she was willing to marry.
"Well, we'll go to Parrington once things settle down at the hospital. Maybe in two days,’ Alec said.
Jenny considered it. Since there were a few more doctors around, she wasn't really that important. "We could go tomorrow. After your donation, the director doesn't even care if I show up."
Sometimes, she felt that her presence pressured the nurses around her. She knew the reason why. Everyone was thinking that she was different from them.
They were once colleagues, but now, she was their boss. They would treat her differently.
"I'm okay with that. I was just worried that you'd be slacking off." Alec was free whenever. The Fausts were pretty much in stable condition. Even if something cropped up, Isabelle would be able to handle it.
Jenny had told him to nurture Julian and Isabelle. It seemed that her decision was the right one.
Julian wasn't very gifted in this department, but Isabelle was. She could handle it all on her own, and Alec had handed a lot of things over to her. He was now very relaxed indeed.
"Who would think that I'm slacking off?" Jenny smiled, a little exasperated.
Alec knew what she meant and smiled awkwardly. "We'll go tomorrow, then. I have to call him."
"Alright." Jenny didn't mind.
Then, they hung up. Jenny was in no rush to head home. She still had a few patients to tend to before she went back.
In Parrington, when Old Mr. Faust heard that Alec and Jenny would come to visit, he instantly felt better.
"Warren, get someone to make the preparations. Alec and Jenny are coming tomorrow," he said.
Warren was surprised. "They're coming back?"
"Yes. There should be good news.” Old Mr. Faust was happy. Alec had already let him know a little about his plan. He knew that Alec was planning to propose.
He just didn't know if he had succeeded.
Now, it seemed that he had
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1263-en if he left this world, novelxo Alec would have his own family.
"When they first divorced, I didn't think I’d see this day coming." Warren remembered arranging the wedding for Alec. Back then, he thought that it was all a pity. Jenny was such a good person, but Alec didn't know how to cherish her.
Who would have thought that after so many years, they would still end up together, with a stronger relationship than ever before?
Old Mr. Faust was happy. "I think that they're very compatible with each other. It seems that God thinks the same as I do."
"Yes. You are wise indeed, Mr. Faust," Warren said.
As they spoke, Jenny was finished checking on novelxo all the patients, and Alec had gone to the hospital to bring her home.
"Didn't I say you didn't have to get me?" Faust Group and the hospital were on different sides of the town. If Alec were to come to get her, he would have to take a long route. Jenny thought it was too much of a hassle and didn't want Alec to get her.
Alec held her hand and said, "You got off work early, and I'm happy to drive you.
Why can't I do that?"
Jenny had nothing to say to that.
They left the hospital. Alec was in a good mood that day and decided to cook.
Hence, they did not go home and instead went to the supermarket.
"What would you like to have?" Alec asked. Cooking was no problem for him.
The problem was what she wanted to eat.
Jenny walked by his side, looking at the vegetables around her. "I'm fine with anything. You can make what you like." She couldn't make a decision just like that.
Alec had no choice but to pick nØvelxo them out himself. Most of the dishes were Jenny's favorites. His love was clearly shown.
Once they were done shopping in the supermarket, Jenny brought him to the mall to buy some things.
Since they were going back to Parrington tomorrow, no.velxo they had to bring a gift to Old Mr. Faust. On top of that, they weren't just going to see him. They were going to Orchid Village as well.
She hadn't gone to her uncle's home before, but now she had to. Marriage was a big deal, and she had to let them know.
They bought a lot of things. When they got home, it was already seven in the evening. Alec went straight into the kitchen, and Jenny packed the things they had bought.
Half an hour later, Alec was done with dinner, and Jenny was done packing up.
They ate together.
"Is there anywhere you'd love to go, Jenny?" Alec suddenly asked.
Jenny thought about it and said, "I want to go to so many places, but I don't have the time to."
"Maybe after the wedding, we'll arrange our honeymoon trip. I'll take you to all the places you want to go. What do you think?" Alec asked. Although he could arrange it himself, he was worried that Jenny wouldn't like the places he picked.
Jenny went quiet, thinking that it was a good idea. "Alright. Whatever you say."
They smiled at each other. Although they weren't married yet, their chemistry could compare to that of married couples.
Thus, another item was added nØvelxoto Alec's itinerary. Besides designing the gown and the ring, he had to plan their honeymoon.
This wasn't a problem for him. Besides the designing, which he would do himself, the rest could be given to his subordinates. He would only need to go through them to make the final decision.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1264-Why Are You Suddenly Concerned About Her?
After dinner, Alec went to his study once more to work on his sketch.
Jenny didn't disturb him. She read in her bedroom. However, Gilbert suddenly called. "Gilbert, what's up?"
"Well, it's actually nothing," Gilbert said, hesitant to continue.
Jenny could tell that something was novelxo amiss and asked, "Gilbert, you can tell me anything. We don't keep anything from each other."
"I just want to ask you if Marigold has been to your hospital to do any checkups," Gilbert said after taking a deep breath.
Jenny was surprised. She sat up at once. "Gilbert, why are you suddenly so concerned about her?"
After he gave her that paycheck, they cut off all ties. Jenny thought Gilbert was truly that cold and never brought up Marigold to him again. But now, he was asking about her on his own.
Maybe Gilbert thought his actions were weird, too. When Jenny asked him that question, he didn't know what to say. "I’m just asking.’ Just asking? Jenny didn't believe it.
"Have you seen Marigold?” Jenny asked, guessing. Gilbert probably wouldn't have asked the question if he hadn't seen her.
Gilbert said nothing, and Jenny had her answer.
"Well, I haven't seen her recently. On top of that, no.velxo if she goes straight to the maternity department, I won't see her," Jenny answered.
Marigold had gone to see her because of nØvelxo a headache before. Other than that, Jenny knew nothing about what she did.
At the thought of her headache, Jenny grew worried. "She came to me before saying that she had a headache. I wanted to check on her, no.velxo but she was worried that it would affect her child, so she ended up not doing anything. I don't know what she's like now."
"Headache?" Gilbert frowned. He sounded worried.
"Yeah. I don't know what it really was, but she was too concerned about her child to risk anything." Jenny couldn't see Gilbert's expression and didn't know what his reaction was like.
Gilbert said nothing. After exchanging a couple more words, he hung up.
Jenny looked at her phone, feeling worried. Could something have happened?
While she was deep in thought, footsteps sounded from outside the bedroom.
Alec walked in. "Who were you calling?"
"Gilbert," Jenny said. She put her phone away, reassuring herself. "Are you done sketching?"
"No. Design requires inspiration." He was pretty much done with the gown, but the ring was leaving him stumped.
He'd given Jenny too many rings. novelxo Each of them were designed by industry professionals. Compared to them, Alec was nothing. Obviously, he was worried if Jenny would like his design.
Jenny knew of his worries and smiled. no.velxo "There's no rush. Just rest. We need to board the plane to Parrington tomorrow. Maybe you'll be inspired over there."
They found each other in Parrington. There was a high chance that he would be inspired.
"That's true. We should sleep now." Alec walked toward her.
Jenny hurriedly took a few steps back. "What are you doing? Your room is next door."
"We're about to marry, Jenny. We don't have to sleep separately, do we?" And even if they slept separately, they frequently messed around in bed. Sleeping separately didn't really mean anything.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1265-Whatever You Say That was true, but Jenny still wanted him to sleep in his own room. "We'll be able to sleep together in the future. We should keep our distance now and enjoy whatever little time we have to ourselves."
"Fine. Whatever you say." Alec didn't force it. He already guessed that Jenny wouldn't agree to it. He walked out. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight," Jenny said, waving to him as if shooing him away.
With a thud, Alec's door shut.
Jenny smiled and lay down, falling asleep quickly.
On the other side of town, after Gilbert novelxo ended the call with Jenny, he went straight home.
Jenny had been right. He’d seen Marigold today. no.velxo He was in his car and had seen Marigold come out of the supermarket. She was carrying her groceries with what looked like a great deal of effort.
He'd nearly wanted to go up to help her, but reason held him back. He couldn't go up to her. He had to stay far, far away from her. However, the more he watched, the more he realized that something was wrong with Marigold. She seemed thinner. Pregnant women often gained weight, but Marigold didn't.
In fact, she was much thinner. She looked like she could be blown away by the wind.
What had happened to her?
Gilbert watched her walk away. In the end, novelxo he followed behind in his car, right until he reached her home.
It was just a tiny house. no.velxo It was not what Gilbert was expecting.
Logically speaking, Paul wouldn't abandon Marigold. Gilbert's money was enough to let Marigold live a luxurious life. Why was she living here?
On top of that, her belly was already so big. Why was she shopping alone?
Didn't she hire a maid?
His car was parked outside the house for a long time, but in the end, he left.
Back home, Marigold's frail figure haunted his mind. He called Jenny because he was so worried. However, he had not received any useful information. It was then that he got up to find her.
Although he had given her his money novëlxo and felt nothing toward the woman, Gilbert felt there was no harm in caring for her a little, regardless of whether that child was his.
He didn't realize that while he refused to admit that the child in her belly was his, he was now sure of it.
He quickly reached her home. It was then that he snapped out of his trance.
"What am I doing? What does she have to do with me?"
He must have been tired recently. That was why the sight of Marigold would affect him.
At that thought, he revved up the engine and prepared to leave.
However, Marigold walked out right this instant. She was holding a trash bag in her hands and walking to the communal trash can. Gilbert frowned once more.
What sort of an area was this? Wasn't there a janitor around?
Based on this fact alone, he could tell that the house Marigold lived in was not a good one.
She was so rich. She could easily live a better life. Why did she want to live here?
With all these questions in mind, novëlxo Gilbert got down the car and walked up to Marigold.
"Gilbert?" Marigold was in disbelief when she saw him. She rubbed her eyes, suspecting that she was hallucinating.
However, no matter how much she rubbed her eyes, Gilbert was still there.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1266- Don't Need Your Help!
"Why are you living here?’ Gilbert asked, frowning.
When Marigold heard his familiar voice, she knew for sure that she wasn't hallucinating. Her first instinct wasn't joy novel.xo but rather fear. She stepped back at once and looked at him warily. "Why are you here? What do you want?"
Her reaction was loud. Gilbert wasn't expecting that. "I was passing by."
Passing by? Marigold didn't believe it. She was novëlxo far from the city center.
Gilbert's activities would never lead him here.
"You haven't answered my question. I gave you all that money. Why are you living here?" Gilbert asked. His eyebrows were tightly knitted.
Marigold took a deep breath, maintaining some distance from him. Then, she replied, "Since you've given me the money, I can live wherever I want. Do I need your permission for that?"
"That's not what I mean. I just think that you can afford to live somewhere better." Gilbert looked at her, not understanding why novel.xo Marigold hated him so much. Although he'd wanted her to abort the baby, he hadn't dragged her to the hospital and forced one on her. Besides, they had come to an agreement.
He couldn't do anything to her now.
Marigold didn't know what he was thinking. She just thought that his words were hilarious. "Do I need to tell you where I live?"
"It's not like that. I was just worried about you,’ he said.
"Worried about me?” It was as if Marigold had heard the world's funniest joke.
"Gilbert, we've already decided to have nothing novëlxo to do with each other.
You shouldn't even be appearing in front of me."
Gilbert paled. He thought that he was a joke, too. "I'm sorry for bothering you.
I'm going to leave now."
"Good." Marigold was happy to see him go.
Gilbert walked away, but before he could reach his car, he paused in his footsteps. He looked back at her. "You don't look very well. Is this too hard on you?"
Marigold was pale, and she was novel.xo as thin as a reed. If not for her large bump, no one would be able to tell that she was pregnant.
"I don't need your help!'' Marigold was angry.
Gilbert sighed. "If you need my help, you can call me. I don't have any other intentions. I just think-"
"I don't need it!" Marigold cut him off. She merely thought that Gilbert was hilarious. Even if she needed help, she wouldn't go to him for it. Didn't he know that all this was his doing?
Gilbert murmured in response and got into his car, disappearing from her sight.
Marigold heaved a sigh of relief, seeing him go. Thank God he'd done nothing.
Otherwise, she'd fight him. But was he really passing by, or did he come here on purpose?
Marigold considered it for a while but then smiled.
Why was she thinking about all that?
Why did it matter if he was passing through the neighborhood or came here on purpose? They were destined to be worlds apart.
At that thought, Marigold caressed her novel.xo belly and murmured, "Once you come out, baby, I'll bring you out of this place. We'll go to a place where no one knows us and start a new life."
She’d considered moving out, but her body didn't allow her to. Once her headaches acted up, she couldn't do anything. She was worried that she would collapse in a foreign world where no one knew her. Hence, she chose to stay and leave only after the baby was born. Once Jenny treated her headaches, Marigold would take the baby and leave.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1267-. Faust," Warren said, smiling.
Jenny was stunned. This manner of greeting her seemed familiar yet foreign.
"We're not married yet, Warren. You can just call me Jenny."
"You were always Mrs. Faust. But something happened before, nØvelxo and now you're back on track. Of course, I'd call you Mrs. Faust." Warren was happy. He witnessed Alec and Jenny coming together.
Even though they hadn't married yet, it didn't matter to him. Even before, when Alec and Jenny started dating, Warren had the same thoughts in mind.
Jenny wanted to speak, but Alec spoke first. "Warren is right. You're destined to be Mrs. Faust. It's not wrong of him to call you that."
Since Alec was standing on Warren's side, Jenny had no other choice. ’ Alright.
Whatever you say."
Since she and Alec were definitely going to marry, there was no need to care so much about greetings.
They reached the Old Mansion quickly. Old Mr. Faust was in the living room waiting for them. He'd looked out of the window quite a few times already.
Finally, the car drove in. He smiled at once. "They're finally here."
Alec and Jenny got down from the car and walked straight toward him."
Grandpa."
"You're back, Jenny." Old Mr. Faust looked at Jenny, already thinking of her as his granddaughter.
Jenny walked up to him and held his arm, smiling. "We're back to see you again.
You don't think we're a bother, do you?"
"Of course not. I'd love to have you and Alec by my side always." But he knew that it was impossible. Alec was already grown up and no longer needed his protection. The only thing that Old Mr. Faust novëlxo could do now was try not to be a bother.
"Don't worry. Alec and I will come to see you often. Why don't you come to Bardoff City with us?’ Jenny felt that Bardoff City would be a better place for him to be in. That way, she and Alec would be able to take care of him.
But Old Mr. Faust shook his head and got Jenny to sit next to him. "Bardoff City is nice, but it isn't suitable for an old man like me. Parrington is better. I've already lived here for a few decades, and I'm used to it." On top of that, he had old friends here. If he was bored, he could talk to them.
If he went to Bardoff City, he would have nothing to do besides sit in the house all day.
Jenny didn't force it on him. Alec had already told her this before, so she wasn't surprised. "Alright. Alec and I will respect your wishes. You can go if you want, and you don't have to if you don't want. Alec and I will come back to see you."
"Good girl." Old Mr. Faust was very happy.
The three of them sat down. Warren went into the kitchen to check on their progress.
"You brat. At least you haven't disappointed me this time." Old Mr. Faust looked at Alec. He was extremely satisfied.
Alec smiled. ’Of course. Your grandson's not too bad."
Old Mr. Faust rolled his eyes at him and said angrily, "That sounds nice, but I won't forget the person who refused to get together with Jenny the first time."
"That was so long ago, Grandpa. Why are you still talking about that?" Alec felt that it was a black mark in his past.
Old Mr. Faust chuckled. "Of course, novëlxo I have to. This is to make you cherish her. Otherwise, you'll regret it after you lose her."
"I know. I'll cherish her this time.' Alec didn't need his reminder to do that.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1268-He Shouldn't Stay By That Kid's Side Jenny couldn't help wanting to laugh when she saw Old Mr. Faust disciplining Alec. "Don't worry, Grandpa. If he fails to cherish me again, I won't give him any more chances."
This was Alec's last chance.
"Jenny…" Alec smiled bitterly. Why did everyone think he would be bad to her?
He'd finally pursued her after so many hardships. Now they were about to marry.
Why wouldn't he cherish her? In fact, he wanted to tie her up in his room and lock her up forever.
"Alright, alright. You can go to the kitchen to see how things are going. I'll talk with Jenny." Old Mr. Faust waved his hands, shooing Alec off to the kitchen.
Alec had no choice but to go to the kitchen. Before that, he cast an uneasy glance at the old man. "Don't you dare say anything stupid to Jenny, Grandpa."
He didn't want Old Mr. Faust to keep talking about his terrible history. What if Jenny suddenly regretted things?
"Oh, go and make yourself busy." Old Mr. Faust ignored him. He brought up all those things so that Alec would know to cherish Jenny.
Alec went to the kitchen, leaving Jenny and Old Mr. Faust in the living room.
"Jenny, I'm really happy to see you two getting together." He looked at Jenny, his smile sincere.
Jenny smiled, too. She knew he was very stubborn about Alec ending up with her, so she understood him.
"Grandpa, you knew of my identity and wanted me to end up with Alec so that I could help the Fausts. But what about now? Alec is the head of the Faust family.
He doesn't seem to need me anymore," Jenny said curiously.
Old Mr. Faust had his schemes, but now it seemed they had vanished into thin air.
At these words, Old Mr. Faust seemed embarrassed. He used to care too much about the Fausts’ development. Once he knew that Jenny was a Walter, he made Alec marry her, and even after their divorce, he wanted them to be together.
But then…
He smiled. "I'm old, but I was young, once. I could tell that Alec truly liked you, and you had some sort of feeling for him too. I had no reason not to support you.’ "You're so good to Alec,” Jenny said from the bottom of her heart. She could tell that as long as Alec liked something, Old Mr. Faust wouldn't deny it.
It was just that Alec had not fallen for anyone else throughout all these years.
Old Mr. Faust sighed. He looked at the kitchen. ’He was brought up by me.
Since young, I nurtured him to be the successor of the Fausts. He didn't have a happy childhood. Now that he's older and much stronger, I want him to be happy and to spend the remainder of his life with someone he loves."
At the mention of Alec's past, Jenny grew solemn. 'It's already in the past.
Things will look up in the future."
"Yes, they will." Old Mr. Faust believed that. He just wasn't sure how much of it he'd be able to witness. "Has Mortimer seen you?" he suddenly asked.
Jenny shook her head. "Alfred brought him over during New Year's, but other than that, we haven't seen him."
Alec didn't care if Mortimer died, and Jenny wouldn't care either. She didn't check on him. However, she guessed that he was most probably with Alfred now.
Old Mr. Faust sighed, then said, ’If you see him in the future, get him to return to Parrington. He shouldn't stay by that kid's side and affect his future."
Although he refused to accept Alfred as part of his family, some things couldn't be changed.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1269-In Just A Few Months As his father, Old Mr. Faust knew what Mortimer was like very well. If he stayed by Alfred's side forever, he would ruin the young man's life.
On top of that, Mortimer was his son. No matter how unpleasant their shared history was, at this age, Old Mr. Faust had let go of many things and no longer wished to care about all that.
"Do you want him to come back?" Jenny was surprised. She thought that Old Mr. Faust still held a grudge against Mortimer.
He sighed, "He's my son, after all. There's nothing wrong in letting him take care of me. And with him under my watch, he won't cause trouble for you."
"Alright. We'll tell him what you said once we're back in Bardoff City. I won't guarantee whether he'll want to come back.” Mortimer might actually refuse to return.
Old Mr. Faust didn't mind. ‘Don't worry. He'll come."
After all that they had been through, Mortimer was still the same. Old Mr. Faust didn't want to care about him anymore.
They talked in the living room while Alec cut up the vegetables in the kitchen.
"You can rest, Mr. Alec. Let the cooks handle it." Warren stood next to him, unsure of what to do.
The cooks had begun their preparations early for Alec and Jenny’s arrival. The food was almost ready, but Alec insisted on making one himself.
"It's fine. I'll just make one really quickly." Alec wanted to let his grandfather have a taste of his cooking. While he chopped, he asked Warren, "How is Grandpa holding up lately?"
"The doctor says it's not looking good." At the mention of his health, Warren grew solemn. "He exhausted himself when he was younger. No matter how much he rests now, he can't recuperate."
Alec paused his movements. His eyes dimmed. "How long does he have left?"
"That's hard to tell. The doctor says that in the worst-case scenario, he has a few months left. And at most, he has three to five years left,’ Warren replied honestly. "If you're free, you should come back often to see him. He says he doesn't care, but he really wants you to come back.’ "Alright." Alec nodded. Sadness surged in his heart. "It must be hard taking care of him."
"Don't say that, Mr. Alec. In my eyes, Mr. Faust is my family. I'm happy to help."
Warren had been in the household for a few decades now. He was already used to it.
Alec said nothing else and began cooking. Soon, he took the dishes out of the kitchen. The maids helped out as well.
"Grandpa, Jenny, it's time to eat,’ Alec said.
At the sound of his voice, they stopped talking. Jenny held Old Mr. Faust as he got up from the couch and walked toward the dining table.
It was then that Jenny realized how frail he truly was. He couldn't walk without teetering slightly, and if no one helped him, it would be hard for him to walk.
For some reason, she thought back to when she first met him. Old Mr. Faust had been full of life then, and there had been nothing wrong with his feet.
How long had it been since? Why was he so weak now?
What she didn't know was that Old Mr. Faust had forced himself to push through. It wasn't that he was tired. Alec had only just inherited the Fausts then.
How could Old Mr. Faust back him up if he was weak?
Later on, when he saw how strong Alec had become and had Jenny by his side, he felt at ease. The moment he relaxed, his strength left him, and he grew weak.
To Be Yours Again By Taylor Chapter 1270-Other Intentions They ate around the dining table. It was a harmonious sight.
When Old Mr. Faust heard they wanted to go to Orchid Village the next day, he suggested following them along. Alec didn't really agree with that.
"You’d better not go, Grandpa. It's too far.’ They had to drive for several hours, and Alec was worried about his health.
Old Mr. Faust knew what Alec meant, novelxo but he was insistent. "If I don't go now, I might not be able to again. I need to pay my respects to my friend."
Jenny's grandfather was his friend for many years. nØvelxo It was he who told him of Jenny's identity, and that was when they arranged for Alec and Jenny's marriage. When he died. Old Mr. Faust had no means to attend the funeral when he died. Now that he was at his end, he had to at least pay his respects.
Otherwise, he wouldn't know what to say to him when they met in the afterlife.
"Grandpa…" Alec frowned.
This time, Jenny stood on Old Mr. Faust's side. "Just let him go. The air in Orchid Village is fresh. His mood might improve over there."
"There you go. Look at Jenny. She can think in my nØvelxo shoes," Old Mr.
Faust praised. He glared at Alec.
Alec was speechless. It was as if Jenny was his grandchild and not him.
"You two have already decided on it. What else can I say?" Alec shrugged.
Although it was physically taxing for Old Mr. Faust, emotionally, it would be good for him.
With chatter and laughter, the meal soon ended.
Old Mr. Faust's body was no longer like before. After the meal, Warren brought him back to his room for a nap. However, novelxo Jenny and Alec were energetic. They decided to walk around Parrington.
As they made their decision, Jenny received a call from Joey Little. She was surprised. "Joey?"
"Are you in Parrington, Jen?" Joey’s voice sounded through the receiver.
