Chapter 26

As it was deep in the summer, she was wearing her off the shoulder floral dress with slides. Although she looked very casual but with her body, she was able to pull it off.

As she left the office building she took a cab to the restaurant they had agreed to meet at with her friends. When she arrived at the destination, she realized that this was actually a five star restaurant which had high minimum spending policy. This restaurant was definitely not for the working class like her.

But since she was already there, and couldn’t change venues on the last minute she decided to go inside.

When she was at the entrance of the restaurant she bumped in to someone, and the lady’s purse was sent flying before it could land down on the floor , so Ciara apologized profusely as she didn’t mean to, she even volunteered to pick up the fallen purse.

“I’m really sorry about that, let me pick that up for you”.

“Are you mad?…. Why don’t you just dig those eyes out as you don’t even use them”. But the lady wasn’t having it, as she had started swearing at her. She just didn’t see the use of apologizing. An apology would never fix her purse should it be damaged, and this cheaply dressed woman in front of her could never afford to replace it.
