My eyes stay on him as he holds unto the flask. He doesn’t want to drink it but I don’t know why.

“Baby, what is going on?’’ I ask him calmly because I expected this. Some kind of PTSD from what happened and it is completely understandable.

“I don’t know, I don’t want it. I don’t want to drink blood anymore,’’ he confesses with a soft exhale.

“Why not, you need it. This isn’t really about what you want right now.’’

He rolls his eyes and drops the flask on the bed “I am fine without it; I haven’t had any craving all day.”

I nod “Yeah but eventually you will and you will go on a rage.’’
